" Y-Your dying !?! " Nepherion asked. Eragon smiled with fresh blood splattered on the bottom of his lip. " I've lived passed an Elf's existence. Thanks to Bid'Daum." Nepherion snapped his head towards the sac. " Starlight, grab him ! " He demanded. Starlight reached over with his jaws and lifted the elf by his garbs, his fangs inches from elf's skin. With haste Nepherion climbed into Starlight's saddle and begin to rummage around until he grabbed Bid'Daum. He leaped over the saddle and landed on the ground with a thump. Without skipping a beat, he ran to Eragon's quickly deteriorating condition. Starlight gazed into the thoughts of his Rider. His lid lifting slightly at what he found. He won't take him back. You know that right ? He said in a sympathetic tone. Nepherion shook his head in rebuke. " He has too ! " He declared. I don't want anyone dying because of me. I refuse.. Starlight looked on at Nepherion. He had never seen this side of him before. Though he had a feeling this gallant warrior laid dormant somewhere.
Eragon leaned against a rock. " I do not. " He said in complete calm. " I've lived long enough. It's good to know that I was capable of fulfilling my purpose. " Ignoring the elf's words, Nepherion placed his hand on Eragon's chest. " Maybe I can heal this. No, I think I can." He stated. Eragon stared at the boy's determination with a weary smile. " You can not heal me no more than you can heal the dead. If you try, you will be sucked into the void with me. " Nepherion's hand suddenly released it's pressure on the elf's chest at the realization. The magic that he was beginning to summon, dwindled to a dim spark. " I would die ? " He said despairingly. Starlight rubbed his head against Nepherion's. Sensing the deep pit of helplessness beginning to take over. You can not save one unwilling to be saved. He told him. Nepherion grunted before unwrapping the Eldunari and handing it towards Eragon.
After nothing happened, he turned towards the elf. Eragon's eyes were closed and from Bid'Daum he could sense swelling sadness. Nepherion's eyes widen at the elf's quick death, it was too qucik. Starlight raised his head from Nepherion. He was well beyond his years. Bid'Daum must had been sustaining him for centuries. Nepherion raised to his feet. His eyes were covered in the veil of his own hair. " Bid'Daum. " He said. " Why are you holding it in ? " He asked with a touch of anger. Bid'Daum's voice was no longer as chipper as before, rather now it was stale and blank. I have reconciled with his decision. Now please, Allow me to rest. He asked, coldly. Nepherion loosely closed the brown sac and placed it into the saddle without a word. He felt Starlight begin to comfort him, but interrupted the beast before he could. No. I don't need comforting. I barely knew him, why do I care if he's dead. He stated. Starlight looked at the back of his Rider with studious eyes. He has given you the greatest gifts you will receive as a Rider, that's why. A awkward and unwanted silence passed between the two.
" Help me bury him. " He said, walking towards the elf's lifeless body. Starlight walked several feet in front of the two and begin to dig tenaciously into the grey earth. He dug a 8 foot deep hole than stepped to the side. Nepherion carried the body in his arms before sliding it into the hole. He looked towards Nandon. " I'am I doing this right. Is this how elves are buried ? " He asked solemnly.

Nandon shook his head and looked around finally he moved over to where some sand was and mutters a spell "Go ahead and burry him but there is more we must do..." Nandon said as the sand shifted and slowly a seed popped out.. It was the seed of a flowery cactus.. which was the only thing that would stay alive in the harsh enviroment.. Nandon sighed This would have to do...

Nepherion allowed the body to seep into the grey stone. He keeled by the side of the make-shift grave and looked at the pale elven face. How ? How was it that someone could just accept death ? I would Never accept death. Not the way he did. Nepherion closed his eyes and paid respect to the legendary elf. " Rest without regret. "He said. The air around him was now gloomy and heavy. He wished this exceptional trip hadn't ended in such despair. He looked towards the hole as dirt and gravel begin to fill in. He placed his hand over the seed Nandon planted in the rough and unsettled dirt. " Du deloi lunaea. " He whispered. The dirt of the grave instantly became smooth and gleaming. The spell he used was simpl, nothing that would drain his energy to much. He had to keep that up for the travel back home.
Standing to his feet he walked with Starlight to the nearby clearing of the jagged cliff. Without a word, Starlight lowered himself and he climbed into the saddle. He looked behind him. The white scaled blade leaned against his bag. Bid'Daum was wrapped in a small sac next to it. He gripped the pale sheathe of the blade and brought it to his lap. He also hadn't wanted Nandon to interact with Bid'Daum, so he gripped the pouch and brought it to his side aswell. He could feel Bid'Daum emotions, isn't wasn't something he could explain. He was sad, yet he held it intact so well. It barely showed against his immense thoughts. Nepherion turned to Nandon to check and see if he was ready to depart. Cause he was.
