A low cloud of dust rose from the north signalling the approach of a unknown rider. several varden soldiers who had been relaxing at there post playing a game of dice quickly stood and drew there weapons as the rider drew closer. One of the men begin yelling "HORSEMAN APPROACHING!" and soon a small crowd of men had gathered as they waited for the mysterious rider to arrive.
Astreae sat molded to the horses back as she flew over the country side.. she had left elsemera that day and it had been only a week since her mother had died...She had missed nandon so much and hoped every day he would return... but he didn't and there mothers last words to Astreae told her to find Nandon and make peace So here she came to the varden the one place where she thought Nandon could be... Ever since he had learned his true parentage he had longed to join the varden and set out to get revenge for what there mother had been through...
Astreae arrived at the small group of soldiers a little over ten minutes later and she dismounted her horse and pulled back her hood revealing her long back hair with blue running through it and a clear face that seemed calm she looked out over the soldiers and watched them study her then she watched as several of there jaws dropped and she sighed inwardly to herself... she looked out over the crowd as if looking for someone and when no one stepped forward she noticed the soldiers still staring and she cleared her throat and they looked up instantly most likely embarrassed at being caught in there staring. Astreae then spoke out in a musical voice that sounded of sweet honey and spicy mead "Do any of you know a Nandon wolfbiter?" she said starring at the men before her waiting for a response

She was not one to be noticed, preferring the darker places in the world. She hides behind each tattered tent and stuck to the shadows like a ghost, sliding through each opening and cringing like a wounded animal being spotted as she stepped into the light. Her eyes pressed themselves flat against her head as she turned her eyes to the sun, which glared down at her, daring her to say something, daring her to challenge it. She responded by simply narrowing her eyes and slinking into the protection of the darkness. It engulfed her like an old friend, sending chills down her spine. Each delicate step carried her closer to the guards that stood outside of the camp grounds, they sat comfortably throwing around dice, dice that made her hesitate, her tail swishing, like any cat the quick movement caught her attention, but she pushed down her want to play. This was no time for play and in her life, there was no such thing as fun.
Her paws like most werecats were larger than the normal cats, her head and body were bigger and broader then a normal cat; she was all in all more powerful. But the prominent bones, deep bags beneath the eyes and the hollow lifeless look in that followed her with any direction she turned and faced. Her tail lashed over the ground and dirt clung to it as she dragged it through the dust. Her eyes pricked forward as the distant, but familiar sound of hoof to ground reached her. It wasn’t unusual for her to hear the sound, but what interested her was the fact that it lead to the camp and not away. She moved forward, sheltering herself fat the edge of the rows of tents, keeping herself deep within the protection of the shadows; they wrapped themselves around her hiding her from prying eyes.
Nolamara’s keen eyes could see the figure sitting upon a beautiful horses back, she smiled revealing a set of sharp white teeth. It was an elf that much she could tell but whom? Even that was beyond her ability to see. Her eyes briefly flickered to the oblivious humans. They were stupid, there poor sight and pathetic eyes gave them no ability to see the rider. She sighed and stood up from her crouched position, she knew that the elf was of no danger, but the foolish humans did not know this. As there poor sights eventually noticed the cloud of dust she could already tell that it was a female elf, young, by elven standards.
“HORSEMAN APPROACHING!" They scream and get up, grasping hold of their weapons before forming a sort of wall, to prevent the entrance of the rider. Nola strides over to the men, before sitting herself down at the edge, beneath the shelter of a chair, where the sun and the light cannot reach her. As each minute passed, she watched as the men grew more impatient, some began to pace, others loosened and tightened their grip on their weapon. They were not at ease or relaxed and she almost laughed, they had no clue that this person was not evil, they were expected some evil soldier to come attack them. She was enjoying this too much.
"Do any of you know a Nandon wolfbiter?" The words slipped from the girls lips, as soon as they fell from her lips the soldiers around her were mesmerised, hanging from her each word. Nola curled her lip in disgust, she hated there weakness and she hated the way the elves could forget so easily that they held such power, they were not human, they were not right. Although, she did prefer the company of elves over human, like most werecats. Nola couldn’t help but grin in the silence that followed the elves words, there was no comment or even response, they all just stared at her, like idiots. It was simply because they were idiots. Nola wasn’t an idiot, sure she was slowly swirling, tumbling and falling into the waters of insanity, but she was not stupid, she still had her wits.
As the pause lengthened she sighed inwardly, there would be no answer. She stepped delicately out into the light, her eyes narrowed as she turned to face the elf. ”You’re not going to get a response from these idiots.” She said dryly.
ooc -- mind if I join in? :D?

Atreae blinked as the werecat poked its head out of the crowd and she nodded looking back at the soldiers who now began trying to act as if they had never been staring at her yet they all remained she looked at them and said "You can go." She said it in a calm voice but it held a certain steel that let the soldiers know this was not a female to be messed with... The soldiers began to disperse and Atreae looked over to the werecat "I had to Try... I'm looking for my brother..." OOC: Not at all

She eyes the elf up and down as she gave a steely look to the men, before harshly talking to them. The werecat resisted the urge to roll her eyes, that would do nothing, words; any coming from her mouth would just make them want to look at her more. Anything that fell from this girls lips was melodic and as sweet as honey, no man could resist it, no matter how hard an edge she brought to her words. “I had to Try... I'm looking for my brother..." The elf says, turning her eyes over to the werecat. Nola looks evenly at her. Nola spins around and slinks back into the comfort of the shadows where the coldness of shadows engulfed her in their familiar protection. For just a moment she allowed the muscles in her shoulders to relax and her eyes to droop as she soaked in the coldness of her world and her hiding.
But the world around her did not want her to relax, the loud steps of the elf made her shoot her ears back up and her shoulders tensed as she continued her walk through the rows of tents that ran through the camp. She turned her crazed eyes from tent to tent, trying not to be seen or heard, it was her way, but having the elf behind her made that impossible. She growled low as a person stepping in front of her, baring her teeth she meets his eyes and he scuttled away. The crazed look in her eyes was always enough to make people run, sometimes it scared her. The werecat shakes her fur pushing past another tent and turning into an empty row. ”Do you know where he might be?” She asks, sitting herself down in the cover of table. She wraps her tail around her paws, keeping herself well away from the light of the sun.
The werecat did not often offer help to others, she preferred the solitude and peace of being by herself with no one, but her mind. Sometimes the things she would think would begin to scare her and the insanity that clawed its way through her mind became too strong. Sometimes she had to talk, it was all that kept her from going completely insane.

Feanaro was an elf who from time to time would leave the sanctuary of du weldenvarden to explore the land of alagaesia.at this particular time when he decided to check out the land he wound up at the city of belatona. Feanaro often Tryd to spend time amongst the many diverse species that calld alagaesia hone sometimes it was a success and other times it resulted in failure or a fight. The humans though not all trusted the elves were tolerant of then and feanaro enjoyed there company. He often envied the humans because unlike elves the humans were not immortal nor were they all skilled with magic and it fascinated feanaro at how much they accomplish in with such short life spans.
Feanaro often spent his time among human soldiers and warriors for they enjoyed practiceing with there weapons and often enjoyed the challenge if sparring an elf in hopes of beating one witch with feanaro never Happend.feanaro was at a camp not to far off from the city he was just finishing up his meal with the few humans he considered friends. When he herd someone yell "HORSEMEN APPROACHING" at that momment feanaro felt the air around the camp tense. As the soldiers hurried to get there weapons and to see who it was approaching a military camp feanaro remaind in his seat he did nit wishes to get in anyones way. After a few minutes when mostI of thethe activity slowed feanaro decided to join the soldiers and see who was comeing.
Slightly amused feanaro spotted the lone rider approaching the camp and wounder began to seep into his mind. No one rode to the camp unless it was to pass on information and this person was not comeing from the city. A few minutes passed and the rider finally arrived at the camp and feanaro could accualy hear a few jaws drop when the rider was revealed to be a beautyfull elven girl.As she asked"Do any of you know nandon wolfbiter" feanaro was not shocked that she didn't get a response. Most of the men were still starring like idiots at the girl, the name wolfbiter struck a familiar cords in his mind but he couldn't quite place it. "You're not going to get a response from these idiots" feanaro cocked his head to the side to see who said these words and was shocked to see a warecat poking out of the ranks. Feanaro stood quietly slightly hidden as the soldiers began to disband back to what they were doing previously.he watched as the elv and warecat spoke briefly, wondering if he should approach the two feanaro finally decided it would be interesting to meet with a warecat as well as a fellow elf.
Walking up to the pair to introduce him self but feanaro was to slow they had already began to head among the tents. No doubt looking for this nandon wolfbiter, feanaro decided to follow the two and watched as they finally entered a tent. It took feanaro a minute to arrive and when he did he poked his head half way and spoke "excuse me I do not mean to intrude but I couldn't help but over hear you are looking for someone. I was hopeing I might be of some assistance. May I come in?". Feanaro did not want to seem rude especially in the presence of a fellow elf and a stunning one at that but also it is unwise to annoy a warecat.

Post by Nepherion on Jul 19, 2012 18:38:19 GMT -5
The sun was in it's brightest stages when Nepherion and Starlight was returning from their most recent meeting with the Varden nobles. He sat in the black saddle with his arms folded against his chest as Starlight soared the currents towards the small encampment he had been stationed at. Atleast that's what he was being told. He knew that Eragon-elda and the other higher ups just wanted him to get more training in before being involved in actual war. He thought it was pointless, Starlight was already 4 months old and about the size of a cottage. As for himself, he had become a pretty good swordsman and magician. Put Bid'Daum's power on top of that and he was already one of the strongest in Alagaesia.
He let out a deep sigh before leaning forward in the saddle and holding Starlight's ivory spike. " I don't get it. They think we're not ready for battle yet. " He said. Starlight kept his crimson gaze on the sky as he answered. I doubt that. You have grown strong that much is for sure. Perhaps quite not as strong as Eragon but strong enough for battle. Nepherion let out a grunt as he felt inadequate. " Yea right. " He said solemnly. " Maybe in the some other lifetime. Maybe when I was a librarian's child but not now. Not among the new dragon riders. " Starlight let out a deep-throated rumbled as he sped through the air towards his destination.
For a long time the two simply sat in silence, an hour went by before the two filled the rest of the trip with puzzles and riddles of the mind. As the Varden came into sight, Starlight banked around it's size, circling it once before coming through the entrance meant for it's riders and dragons. As he flew through the camp Nepherion kept the thought of his uselessness on his mind, it dragged him down both mentally and physically. Starlight found a clearing near a cluster of tents and when the impact of his landing hit, Nepherion was thrown out the saddle and onto the ground.
He laid on the ground with bangs of his hair scatter around his face. With a aching expression he moved his tensed back and begin to feel the pain in the middle of his arc. His teeth clenched at the throbbing he had created. " Da..mmit. " He groaned before easing up off the ground. He sat on the dried dirt, looking up at Starlight as he arched his neck towards him. I'am sorry. I truly tried to make that soft. He said. Nepherion let out another frustrated grunt as he stood up. " I know. It was my fault for not have a tight grip on your spike. " He dusted off his blue vest which was embroiled with black cotton like material down the middle. His black tunic underneath hadn't gotten dirtied thanks to his backwards fall and the ragged brown cloak he had wrapped around his neck and flowing down his back. His black trousers had gone unscathed too, for the most part. He held the lower part of his back and massaged it as he walked over to Starlight's and gotten into the saddle. I should have listened to Eragon-elda and use those straps after all. He told himself.
After enjoying a nice stroll to his tent - not including the constant interruptions and questions coming from locals - Nepherion climbed down Starlight and went to check on Bid'Daum. He ran into the tent and bent down at his cot. With inaudible words from ancient language he waved his hand infront of it and reached under it to grab the pouch hidden inside the deep hole. He placed the pouch on his side and used a spell that he invented to keep it there, almost like wards. When it was pulled or tugged, it drained his strength but would stay to his side until he was dead or he had released the spell. He belted his shimmering white Rider's blade onto his waist before heading out.
He walked out the tent and notice Starlight curled against the ground, napping his earlier aches away. " Be back in a little. Don't wait up. " The dragon let out a weak growl than snuggled back into his folded paws and drifted off. As he walked, Bid'Daum touched his consciousness, and it wasn't hard to figure out it was him. The reserves of power he had was so massive and threatening that it could have been no other. His deep voice rampaged through Nepherion's mind. How did the venture fair ? He asked. Nepherion made no attempts to reach for his gem-like body, he continued his walk down the rows of tents. It went well. As usual all they wanted to know was how much closer we were to taking the King down. I couldn't answer than correctly... So I'm sure they'll be crying to Nausada in no time. He told him with a little annoyance in his voice. Bid'Daum chuckled deeply. You should have taken me with you. I tire of been cramped under that soil. Nepherion laughed the comment off than paused as three Varden soldiers approached him.
His smile ironed out to a serious glare as he looked at them. " What's the matter ? " He asked. The soldier to the right was hunched over, trying to catch his breathe, so was the middle one. They were all holding spears, so Nepherion could only guess that their was a situation they couldn't handle. The middle one took a deep breathe and stood straight up. " Sir. The guards by the southern gates let a elf in the vicinity. They didn't check her anything.." The man took a couple of more breathes before conitnuing. " We couldn't find any magician's so we looked for the nearest Rider. " Nepherion cocked his eyebrow towards them. " Where's the elf at now. " He asked, now gripping the pommel of Brojoska. " We think somewhere with another Elf and a Werecat in the Eastern section. " Nepherion stepped passed the soldiers and headed towards the East. " Don't worry, I'll handle this. If you can please locate another magician. " He said before he dashed off.
A little over ten minutes had passed before he found his group of people. He looked down the row of tents and notice two elves and a werecat. He hesitated at the beginning of the row. Starlight ! I need you with me. He yelled. He stared down the figures, at the distance he was at they hadn't had any noticeable traits or features. He wasn't sure if he had known any of them. But it was his job as a Rider to maintain peace in the world and least of all in confines of the Varden. He walked down the row with his hand on the hilt of his blade, the other swaying comfortably by his side. As he approached behind them he heard the loud beats of Starlight's wings coming towards him. I'm almost there.. Stay alive till than. He said with a edge of seriousness in his voice.
Nepherion stepped hard behind the group and looked towards them with iron gaze. " Who's the Elf that entered without permission. " He asked, than noticing the familiar face of Feanaro his face lightened. He hadn't known him all that well, but he knew he wasn't an enemy. Though he kept his hand on the pommel for safeguard. His gaze turned steeled again as he nudged his chin towards the woman. " Who's she ? " He asked. Just than a shadow overtook the group. The large beats of Starlight's wings begin to pelt the three with harsh winds as he made his fall. Nepherion stood there without so much as flinching as tents and dust begin to billow up. Starlight landed with a harsh crash to the ground, he rose his neck up and showed his fangs, letting out a low, deep growl. He crouched down and brought his head to the front of the group, bringing his wings to his side. The group was successfully cornered, their was no way out. And if they ran, it would man someone was hiding something.

Astreae looked up at feanaro as he walked into the tent and she nodded "I am just looking for my brother Nandon... I believe he is a spy?" She said uncertainly she obviously had no Idea what he was at the varden but Nandon always liked to sneak around and had caught her several times unaware when he had followed her some place she sighed regretting all the thing she had done to him but thats why she had come....She looked up as neph got to the tent and said "Im Astreae...Nandons sister..." She said looking at him with a tilted head as she sized him up knowing if she wanted she could take yhim out fairly easy...Then the dragon landed and she stopped That would be harder...
NANDONS POV
Nandon looked up as he heard the men call out a rider and he frowned looking around... he had been in the middle of eating with one of his friends and he glanced up and frowned then hastily finished off his food before strapping his sword to his back he set off at a jog to where he had heard the yell. When he arrived a horse was there and several men stood around he looked at the men then frowned the horse was familiar... but it couldnt be...nandon thought as he walked over to one of the soldiers "Wheres the horse man?" he asked one of the men and he pointed off into the twisting maze that was the camp "Horse woman. She was gorgeous also..." Then man shook his head in amazement and walked off and nandon took a couple steps toward the camp then sighed before setting off

A long time ago, when the full moon shone brightly in the sky and when Nolamarra stepped out of the deepest shadows, that not even the rays of the moon could touch, she did so as a human. With the light of the full moon and the curse that she carried she had become a human. She had walked through the camp on legs that wobbled with each step and a body that shook and froze with the cold of the night. She passed many fires and her eyes hungrily watched the flames as their warm barely scraped her skin. It sent shivers up her spin, but she persisted forward, the glares of the men halting her and stoping her from stepping into the ring of light and giving her the warmth she so desperately desired.
Because of those glares and scolds, she never went into any of those rings of light, instead she moved away, melding into the shadows and letting the cold of their touch steal her heart and letting the whispers of the wind race through her mind and drive her to the brink of insanity. It was that day that made her change, it was that day that made her hate that light and instead love the shadows and darkness. But it was not the start of the insanity that plagued her, no that had already begun and the darkness just feed it as it grew in her mind becoming bigger and more scary, it began to control some of her movements, words and thoughts and often when she would turn into her mind, into her safe house all she would see was a war, not the one that raged out of her body, but a fight that was fought in her.
Claw marks scarred the sides of her skull, invisible, but she could see each and every wound, each and every spot that the insanity now controlled. Sometimes it made her cry and other times she would just smile, knowing that once she was insane she would be free of her hurt and pain.
The werecats eyes flicked back, flattening them to her skull. She let out another low growl as another elf appeared. Too many people for her liking, too many people that could hurt her, glare at her and abuse her, this was a bad idea. ”Excuse me I do not mean to intrude but I couldn't help but over hear you are looking for someone. I was hoping I might be of some assistance. May I come in?” She flicked her til in annoyance at the newcomer as he looked firstly at the elf then at herself. She gave him a cold glare telling him that he was not welcome. The elven girl thought otherwise. "I am just looking for my brother Nandon... I believe he is a spy?" Once again the name struck nothing inside of Nola; she had no clue who it was. She eyes the newcomer as he looked at the girl, maybe he would be of some use. She remained quiet hoping that they could solve this out and she could just leave.
Then as if on cue another person arrived. The werecat hissed in annoyance. Way too many people here, she had to leave. She sunk back into the shade of the nearest tent letting it hold her, letting it calm the fur that had risen all along her spine, she hated humans. As the newest person stepped closer she realised who it was. it was the rider that was stationed it the small encampment where they were. She sighed with annoyance, her tail lashing from side to side. She peered up at him, looking past him and straining her eyes she could hear the sound of wings, large wings at that. Her annoyance grew more; the boy had summoned his dragon. Out of everything, Nola hated dragons, they scared her so much.
"Who's the Elf that entered without permission. " He asked. When no response came he said, "Who's she?" As the words left his lips a dark shadow spread across them all as a giant white dragon landed on the ground. The werecats ears seemed plastered to her skull as she jumped up and hissed at the giant beast, her fear rolled off of her in waves as she look at it. It scared her and she scuttled back deeper into the shadows, hoping they would hide her. "Im Astreae...Nandons sister..." The elf girl said as she peered up at the boy and furthermore the tall dragon. Nola took a shaky breath her fear of the dragon made her push herself as far away from it as she could and she hoped that her shadows could protect her, now that she finally needed them.

Nepherion let the girl's words soak into his mind. It was possible that she was telling the truth and in fact, only a couple months ago, if he remembered right he had seen a image of her on a fairth. His eyes remained steadfast as he looked at her. " If that's true than I'm going to need to examine you. If you don't let me than you'll have to leave. " He said sternly. He figured he should go ahead and practice his authority as a Rider now. Not that he didn't already have authority. Having most of the soldiers say sir was enough proof of that. His cerulean eyes studied the elf's body for any movements or signs of casting. More than anything he was worried about the Werecat. She was re-acting so terrified. He looked towards her and for a moment lost his cool, turning towards the beast, startled.
He was reluctant at first, knowing that the beast was a sentient being and most likely wouldn't approve of him invading her space, but she was terrorizing herself and that wasn't good for anyone. He reached his mind out towards her. The aura of his powerful mind came to her tentatively, carefully and openly. He took a big chance by leaving his mind exposed. But he wanted the cat to know he nor Starlight was it's enemy. The werecat's were welcomed friends to the Varden. His mind tried to enveloped the werecat like a warm air of soothing pats to her spine. If the cat had allowed him in he would speak in the ancient language. Me and my dragon are friends. We mean you no harm O, noble werecat. Afterwards he would recede from the engagement and looked back towards the elf. Awaiting her answer.
Starlight was waiting outside the tent, his anger all the more ferocious from being awakened. A constant low growl could be heard from outside the tent. How are things inside, I can't see. He asked. Nepherion hadn't moved from his spot nor had his gazed moved from Astrae. It's good, Things haven't turned yet. If they do, I'll be the first to burst from the tent. Starlight outstretched his wings and loomed over the tent as he anticipated a battle.

Feanaro smiled quickly at the elven girl as he entered the the ten.he didn't know who this nandon was but something about his name sounded familiar to him, likthey have met before briefly. Feanaro noticed the warecat in the tent seems unusualy tense almost nervous based on her body language. Heaving meet only a few warecats feanaro knew they were very mysterious and if one should offer help it would be wise to accept it.looking at the ware cat with a kind expression he spoke to her "peace be with you friend I am feanaro and I mean you no harm I merely mean to help ."
Feanaro now shifted his gaze into the elven girl who just told him she was this nandon fellows sister.shifting his duel elven long knives that were in his back feanaro. Tryed to think wear he might know the girls brother from "I can't place why I feal I know your brother the name sounds familiar but I can't out a face in it. What does he look like."
Before an answer could be given another person entered the tent feanaro recognized him as nepherion a rider an who was stationed at this camp. Feanaro didn't know the rider well but they have exchanged a few pleasantry's from time to time. He seen the annoyed look on neoherions face and knew right away why he was here, turning to face the rider feanaro greeted him with the appropriate elven greeting "good day to you shortugal." What ever els feanaro was going to say was cut off by the landing and arrival of nepherions dragon. It enters the tent looking as fierce as he was majestic with its whit scales glimmering like diamond even wile in the tent.
Feanaro knew why they were both here and it was confirmed when nepherion asked shout the elf who arrived in the camp not long ago. Before feanaro could answer nandons sister spoke up. In the corner of the room he also notices the warecat seemed more and more distressed though he didn't know why feanaro felt as of the warecat didn't want everybody in this tent almost as if it didn't trust or expected someone to attack.. knowing the process of being able to be in the camp feanaro hoped the girl allowed nepherion to search her mind on order to allow her to stay. A fight was the last thing feanaro wanted rights now.

Astreae sat there for a moment her face seemed clear as she thought then she slowly nodded her head "If you will take me to nandon after..." She said slowly looking around.
NANDONS POV
Nandon dashed between tents as he jogged through the vardens main camp which was a sprawling almost city of its own. He looked up just to see starlight land and he frowned running now towards where he had landed...Nandon stood outside the tent and he walked over to Starlight "Whats going on here?" Nandon asked reaching out with his mind.

She hated this with every ounce on her body, the way they moved in more, ruining her space and pushing and her to move back. She hated the way they all stood there and the way her fear rolled off of her so easily and freely, it scared, her own fear truly scared her. The werecat shook herself, she was being silly, but the way the white dragon stood there, its teeth poking through its skin and the rider, he was not elven, he was human, she hated humans, the way they had abused her and mistreated her. And all the elves around her did not hold her trust, but then it was rare that an elf could gain her trust, she was the dying one, the werecat that trusted no body and had no body, and she was always alone.
She felt his mind stretch out to hers, she flinched at the touch, her walls flinging themselves up as quick and as strong as she could. She had practiced this for years and years, trying to perfect her strength in her mind, although it was good, when her insanity had her she was weak, but at this moment she had all her strength. She flattened her ears to her skull and eyed the rider, baring her teeth. Slowly she lowered the barriers, her curiosity wanting to know what he would say, she wasn’t worried about getting him out of there, if he got lost or decided to wonder he would come out as another person, a werecats mind was strange, her was stranger than most. Me and my dragon are friends. We mean you no harm O, noble werecat. The words of the ancient language filled her mind and as if they had spoken English she translated the words, understanding them with ease.
Her ears relaxed slightly, the ancient language was powerful, it was powerful enough to make her believe that what they said was true, they could not lie. As his mind left hers, she in turn pushed hers forwards to meet with his, that was if he accepted her presence, hers expanded to flow over the dragon as well, she hoped they would both accept her mind and let her speak. What are your names?
She asked, the words were also spoken in the ancient language, she eyed them up and down, if her words got through, she would be interested to know who they were. Her fear left her as she awaited their response. ”Peace be with you friend I am Feanaro and I mean you no harm I merely mean to help." Now she turned herself to face the elf, her mind still hovering over the others, she felt vulnerable. She nodded her head to the elf, acknowledging his words.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Feanaro returned a nod to the warecat also makeing a mental note to try and speak with it if the opportunity presented it self. Warecats were seen from time to time in du weldenvarden and feanaro crossed paths with a few,he enjoyed the company of warecats maby it was the mystery of these creatures or the fact that they don't often approach someone that got feanaros attention. The warecats were an interesting company to have an feanaro wanted to meet this one properly hopefully later on.
Out of habbit feanaro cast his mind out not only to the tent bit also a few yards I the each direction outside just to see if anyone or anything unfriendly got any ideas.makeing sure not to brush his consciousness against the group that was forming in the room, feanaro dis not want others to think he was trying to mental attack them or sneak into there minds. Brushing agianst another's mind was a personal and some times private thing and most people enjoy there privacey.
Crossing his arms feanaro looked to nandons sister agian she was quite a looker even to elven standards and the blue of her hair cought his attention most.he him self was different then most elves he was taller and broader at the chest and shoulderst standing 6'2 and a lean 200lbs his short dreadlock Mohawk was also not something you often see among elves.. comeing from a warrior clan of sorts his home in du weldenvarden often produced soldiers, scouts, spies, and worriors of most sorts. "I could probably help you find your brother I believe I have seen him on more then one occasion in the city belatona that is no more then a mile or so away from here. We could ask around or we could just run into wile searching. The local inn or pub is also a good place to check I feal as if me and him may have crossed paths wile having a drink ."

Nepherion looked at Feanaro for a moment, his greeting almost going unnoticed. He remembered the lessons that Eragon-elda taught him, " Riders are an authority inside as well as outside the Varden. Never allow anyone to see you in distress, for they will be too. " Nepherion broadened his shoulder and lifted his head before performing the elven greeting as well. Placing himself above the elf in ranking before continuing on with his business.
As he grazed against the mind of the werecat he begin to feel a certain degree of weariness and fear. Almost as if insanity was at his doorstep. It worried him that if he stayed in touch with her mind for too long that he may end up going mad, so he receded from her and shut himself off from her and the others. Only keeping his mind open enough for Starlight to contact him if needed. He rubbed the side of his left temple with two fingers for a couple seconds trying to ease the madness. He turned to the werecat and out of fear that he had offended her, bowed. " Forgive me. " He said with a weak smile. " But your mind is too hetic for me. I have little control over the powers of my mind right now. Y'see I'm still in training. " He explained.
He stumbled back a foot or two before feeling Starlight's scaled forearm on his back. It prompted him up for second than gently moved back to the ground. Are you okay ? He asked worried. Nepherion held his head for a moment, his left hand still on the handle of Brojska, it's fine black wire-material felt comforting on his palm. I'm fine. A werecat's mind is like spinning in a circle for infinity, I can't seem to catch my balance. Starlight turned his gaze towards the Werecat. He had felt it too but not nearly as much as Nepherion. With a gentle nudge Starlight tried his best to ease Nepherion's temporary illness. You have work to do. Get yourself together.
Nepherion straighten himself back up before nodding, agreeing with Starlight words. He brought the brown cloak from his side and approached Astrae. " This won't hurt unless you struggle. And I would strongly advise against NOT doing that. I have a dragon on my side and together we are stronger than any mind on this campsite. " He told her in a hard, unyielding voice. As if to change the tension he had created, Nepherion smiled at her warmly than place a gentle palm on her head. The gedwëy mark on his left palm, rubbing against her skin ever so lightly.
As he entered her mind he searched for any traces of Galbatorix's or the Empire influence. He wished not to dive into her innermost memories, but knew he would have to if he was going to get the job done right. Like so many elves, her mind was unreadable, vast and filled with memories of her past. Memories that he dared not invade.
Starlight's mind was in constant contact with Nepherion's, ready to aid him if needed, when he heard and felt the footsteps of another approaching. He turned his crimson gaze on the-pointy-eared-master that Nepherion practiced with every so often. A puff of dark smoke expelled from his nostril and begin to float above the encampment when he felt Nandon's mind touch his. With a growl, Starlight lashed out towards Nandon in a furious display of strength. It wouldn't disable him or nothing but it would make him think twice of touching his mind again.
The dragon folded his right wing onto his iridescent diamonds and allowed Nandon access to the tent. He disliked when anyone touched his mind besides Nepherion and other dragon's, he felt as if he was being soiled. And Nandon had attempted it enough times that he had grown impatient with the elf whenever he approached.

Nandon walked into the tent as soon as he was able and it took him a couple seconds to adjust his eyes and in that time he felt something wrap around him and he blinked looking down he saw astreae he had always been abit shorter than him... astreae reached out with her mind to Nandon and spoke to him "I'm sorry Nandon..." she said looking up at Nandon then she pulled out and Nandon slowly nodded his head... he looked over at fean and then back at nepherion and said "Well I heard the mention of a tavern... and I'm quite hungry... I hear its buffet day at the jewled dagger." He said moving back to walk out as astreae clung to him... he looked at neph "Nepherion. Stand down she is no servant of the empire..."

Feanaro stood in the tent quietly watching things unfold his mind began to wounder a bit. He noticed out of the corner of his eyes neoherion looking a bit worse for ware then when he entered,an was future taken aback when he realized he must have been conversing with the warecat. He watched as neoherion stumbled slightly a few steps back into his dragon ,feanaro foundered what had just Happend "did the warecat attack his mind or maby the girl did" he thought to himself. But a few momments later his questions was answered when nepherion addressed the warecat, apparently they were talking or the rider was searching the cats mind and almost went mad from it. Feanaro shutters slightly at the though of the fate nepherion would suffer if that were to happen.
Before feanaro could say anything someone els burst into the tent, it was a young elven male who seemed familiar to him. Before nandon could reach his sister feanaro figured out it must be this nandon wolfbiter they were talking about, and now that feanaro has seen him his conscious pushed memories to the front of his head. Feanaro was correct in thinking he has met this fellow before and it was at the tavern in belatona as well as just in the streets. Looking over at nandon and his sister feanaro listen intently to his words. The mention of getting something to eat made his ears perk up slighlty "what is this buffet you speak of wolfbiter I have never attend such a thing "

The werecat was suffocating, the people around her, there was just too many, they all seemed to press down on her grabbing her air and taking it, sucking it in and stealing it on all for themselves. It wasn’t surprising when the rider faced her telling her just how much he feared her mind, how he would not answer it, she felt his mind slip from hers and she faded away in turn from his, closing herself off once more from the world. She grunted at his comment about training, she didn’t care, she was still curious as to who they were. This werecat did not care for names, she had long since passed the stage where names meant something to her, she did not care for words or titles, they meant nothing, they did not make a person a person, a werecat a werecat a dragon a dragon and so on. They were simply what you were called, you made yourself, and you gave yourself a reputation, no one else did.
The rider again catches her attention as he stumbles back, leaning onto his dragon, a slight smirk crosses her lips, it was normal to touch a werecats mind was rare and although a werecat could control what was released and could allow a human, Elf, Dwarf or even Urgal to feel, she had no such qualms, if anyone wanted to touch her mind they would feel everything she was and everything she had to live with. But as the rider stumbles eyes turn onto her and she flattens her ears and bares her teeth at the onlookers, she shuffled back, moving further into the space of the table and away from the prying eyes of those around her. Nola wanted out from this cramped small area, people moved around her, the rider taking control once more and moving to the elf, searching her mind.
As he finishes another person bursts in. She hisses in annoyance, more people. This was ridiculous. "I'm sorry Nandon..." The female elf said. Nola’s ears pricked up in surprise and she turned her head to the new comer. So this was him, the reason she was here and surrounded by people, the reason why she found herself suffocating in the mass of people around her. He wasn’t much. Just another elf. "Well I heard the mention of a tavern... and I'm quite hungry... I hear its buffet day at the jewelled dagger." Thank god, they were all going to leave and eat and not stay and annoy her. They bagn to leave and slowly she crawled forward moving away from the people. "Nepherion. Stand down she is no servant of the empire..." More surprises. This elf could talk and he spoke with confidence to the rider. Or was it ignorance? She wasn’t quite sure.
The werecat eyes the rider, wondering what he would do, but her eyes moved to the dragon, her fear no longer took her as she gazed at the giant beast, and instead she only felt curiosity and a begging to know more about him. As the others left she crept around the edges, before coming to a standstill beside the white beast. With the tip of her tail she flicked his foot, before gently reaching out with a paw and touching his scaly foot. She instantly moved back before looking up at him. ”You’re not that scary.” She hummed, her tail twitching slightly.

Nepherion receded from the elf's mind, finally free of the open vastness that plagued him when he had first entered. With a sigh of released tension he turned to see Nandon and smiled almost instantly. It was almost as if destiny had been in the works behind the turmoil. Than Nandon spoke to him in the usual condescending manner. From outside a short-lived growl could be heard, and Nepherion knew it was Starlight. The beast hated it when he allowed people to talk to him like that. You're a Rider. Why let him talk to you like that ? Starlight's voice was plagued with a steel annoyance. He reached up with an index finger and scratched the thickness of his right brow, ignoring Starlight's comment for now. " Yes, Nandon-elda. But it's too late, I've already checked her mind. " He told him.
Nepherion heard the ruffling of Starlight rubbing against tent's as he made his way from out of the tent's entrance. The dark tent was soon lit up with the sun ray's again, it created a brighter bache area, but the material of the tent still kept a dark tinge inside.
A gloom of longing came over Nepherion as he looked on at Astrae's and Nandon's embrace. It reminded him of his final day in Terim, and of Nix's expression when he was leaving. He placed his hands on the pommel of Brojska, swirling his thumb around the smooth diamond, feeling the massive stores of energy Eragon I had left inside. He sighed as his thought traveled to how Nix and the family was doing, hoping that they weren't dead or hurt. He wanted badly to see them again.
Than why not go ? Starlight asked in his usual calm, yet deceiving tone. You know better than I that Nasuada needs us here. If I left she'd have me whipped for Abandonment. He told him, walking from his position and heading out the tent. He was sure the others would follow or either stay inside and have pleasantries, either way he was leaving. His recent thoughts had drove him to want to scry his family. He looked down towards the Werecat as she played with Starlight's paw. A chuckle escaped his lips before saying. " You should watch out. Starlight isn't as friendly as me. "
Starlight looked down at the Werecat as if it was prey he had never encountered. He could feel that it was different from the rest of the small-mice-hunters from Terim, but he didn't know why. He bent his snout down to the Werecat and sniffed at her before snorting a gust of breathe. Unlike Nepherion, Starlight held no reserves, if he wanted to find something out than he would do it without question. What are you strange furrling. He asked, his voice as regal and juvenile as a prince's. As their minds touch, if the Werecat had allowed it. She would find herself touched by a mind so immense and powerful that it seemed as even the people were like ants to him. His superiority complex would show through fully, even the thoughts of him being superior to her was laid out in the open. His mind and it's vastness could be described as a blank plain, filled with only the importance of the now.
Nepherion climbed ontop of Starlight's foreleg and lifted himself onto his back. Placing his hand firmly around a spike, he patted Starlight's neck twice in a affectionate manner. Alright, Stop hassling her before she strike at ya. Still in contact with the both of them, Starlight responded arrogantly. Strike at me ? She would only hurt herself in the process. Nepherion shook his head slowly. " My apologizes Werecat - " He stopped himself, finding it rude to keep calling her by her race. " I'm sorry. Do you have a name ? "
A swoosh of wind brought his ragged brown cape flowing into the air, and made him raise his arm in defense of the dirt that may have been swept away with the gust. He could feel the cloak tug on his neck gently as the wind wearily hope to obtain it. His white hair begin to ruffle and he could feel strands on his cheek. Moments later the wind died and continued on it's way, leaving an awkward silence from him.
Nepherion looked up into the sky, gazing at it's clear openness, and the sun governing it above. " That was weird ? I wonder where that gust came from. " Starlight was looking towards the sky as well, though his reasons were different. He turned that way, only because he felt Nepherion's strong urge to look into the sky. The currents were higher up only a little while ago. That is a little weird. He commented. Than a puff of black smoke released from his nostrils and floated up, undisturbed, into the air.

Nandon looked over a smile on his face... so much tension has been with him because he thought he was always inferior but now he felt as if it was all gone in a instance... he looked at fean and nodded "Yes there where uncooked food from the feast and the jewled dagger bought it all and are having a huge feast!" Nandon said almost drooling from the food he could smell from across the tent... Astreae looked over at nandon and laughed "Your always hungry Nandon..."

The mention of this buffet nandon spoke of stole feanaros attention as he was jerky watching the exchange between starlight and the warecat. But truth be told feanaro was quite hungry he didn't have breakfast and had lighta meal for lunch. Feanaro chuckled when nandons sister told him that he was always hungry, because ironically his parients always said feeding feanaro was like feeding an entire family.spending most of his time training feanaro almost always worked up a monstrous apatite but he usually settled with eating light meals. But from the sounds of it the the tavern was going to have food of plenty,an feanaro herd and felt his stomach growl.
"Wolfbiter this buffet sounds like a good idea to me its been quite some tine since I've had a proper meal and I could go for some chicken or fish with potatoes and other such things."feanaro felt his mouth begin to water as he mentioned the food. Wanting to ask nelherion and starlight if they'd like to join but feanaro noticed nepherion seems upset about something. He wished to speak with the rider just to have s conversation but knowing what that look meant feanaro left well enugh alone ans figured they will cross paths agian. So shifting his attention over to the warecat "care to join us oh warecat it would be an honor to dine with you I've only come across your kind briefly in ellesmara and never really got a chance to converse with any"".. once feanaro finished speaking he felt a sting breeze blow by the tent and since he was close to the entrance he could also feal it as the tent flaps snaped in the breeze. "What I the vrales name did that come from"
