Dras-Leona was certainly not one of Murtagh's favorite cities. It was much to crowded for his tastes and the streets where dirty. But it was war and there were more important matters than that to worry about. As General and Champion of the Empire Murtagh of course stayed in the main castle whenever he came to Dras-Leona; however, he could rarely be found there. The castle was not built for dragons and Thorn could not be with him when he was there. So he often was out in the city or on patrol so he could be with Thorn.
Such was the case today. On crimson wings he and Thorn glided out over the city to survey the surrounding lands.

AMIRA & CASPIA Amira knew very little land past the safe haven of the Boer Mountains, he strong wings beated powerfully over the open skies of her world and the place she loved the most. Although she was small for a dragon her strength came in the ability of speed and how she managed to outdo almost every other dragon with the way she could flip and turn sliding out of strong grips and easily evading an enemy. The purple dragon eyed the land warily below her, she wasn’t sure if it was enemy land or some land that had been taken over by the Varden and although her and her rider Caspia had not yet joined the Varden they favoured their side over the egg-breaker Galbatorix’s. Amira loved to fly it being her favourite thing to do. Where do you think we are? She asked, not moving her eyes away from the land. Her words travelled to Caspia’s head. The young elf looked down onto her dragon an affectionate smile playing on her lips. I have no idea, maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to wonder off. Her worry crept into her tone and Amira snorted with amusement. Nothing will hurt you, while I am here. The elf just nodded in response, her hand moving to the pommel of Shyla.
They continued their journey through the lands, flying for a great amount of time. Amira stayed high, riding the currents and letting them take her, to preserve her energy. Caspia peered through each opening, trying to find out where they were, but no matter where she looked she could not tell. The land was foreign to her, even the trees were unfamiliar and a feeling of worry had wormed its way into her mind, burrowing down holding her. Although she tried her best to keep her worries hidden from Amira, she knew that there would only be minutes before she found out. Taking a deep breath she tried to calm herself. Amira was not foolish, she knew that Caspia was worried, but she also knew that no words she could speak would make her feel better. What’s that? The pruple dragon asked, her eyes trained on a small dot on the horizon. I don’t know… She replied following her dragons gaze. It could be anything.
Amira snorted in doubt as she continued to fly, a feeling of unease creeping into her, as she moved closer to the small dot.

It wasn't long before Murtagh noticed Amira and Caspia. Having his life constantly threatened kept him on his toes. He always kept alert and expected danger from any direction. However, it had been Thorn who had spotted the pair first. Alerting his rider he started to climb until he drew level with the unknown rider. He stayed just far enough away to keep out of reach should they attack.
Murtagh let his voice be enhanced with magic so Caspia could easily hear him. "That is far enough Rider. You are in Empire lands. Who are you and state your business," he said. He did not recognize either of them. Either the Varden had gained a new Rider or she had not chosen a side.

Dragon. Amira hissed, her tongue snaking out into the air, tasting it. But the smell was unfamiliar; she did not know this dragon. I do not know them, they are not friends. She said to Caspia, the elf’s worry increased as the headed closer to the beast, who was terrifyingly larger then small Amira. They both stopped talking, separating their minds from one another, they knew that if these two strangers were not friends then they would be enemy, from the empire, or people who had not quite chosen, but lend heavily against one side and would fight for them. Caspia always hated leaving Amira’s mind, the presence of her partner made her feel complete and without that touch she felt a sense of loneliness settle in her mind, as if she was half missing. She shook the feeling away from her eyeing the crimson dragon and rider as the came closer. For the dragon was crimson, he was large and powerful, well-built and fairly old. His rider was young, with black hair that flowed around him in a thick curtain.
"That is far enough Rider. You are in Empire lands. Who are you and state your business," The words came amplified and loud, this man was definitely an empire rider and then that meant that they had travelled way too far, now they were heading into the dangerous part of the empire. Caspia looked the boy up and down, the red dragon and black haired boy reminded her of someone, but she had never seen a red dragon before. Puzzled she turned down to Amira. ”Who are they? He looks familiar.” She spoke softly her words only carrying to the small purple dragon. Caspia felt the familir touch of of Amira’s mind, faintly pressing against hers. I believe it is Thorn and Murtagh. She said quickly before fleeing back into the safety of her own mind. ”Ohhhh. It is them!” She said surprised and a little more loudly then she had intended. ”I’m Caspia and this is my dragon Amira,” She responded indicating Amira with an affectionate pat on the neck. ”Errr… I’m here because… ummm… we got a little lost.” She said, she felt the heat rising to her cheeks as she looked away embarrassed.
”Besides I also like to explore and check out this place.” She added. She had not used magic to carry her voice over to the other rider, she instead spoke loudly, confidence in each of her words.

Murtagh didn't appear satisfied with their answer. Though the fact was very few answers would've satisfied him. But only one of those answers would allow Caspia and Amira to continue on and that was if they were part of the Empire.
He didn't understand when Caspia spoke aloud though he was sure she hadn't meant him to hear. Had she been looking for him and Thorn then or simply not recognized the pair.
He continued to amplify his voice with magic, just enough that no word could be lost to the wind or other noises. "Lost," he repeated. "And exploring. The Empire lands are not open to Riders who do not serve it."

She can’t help the snort that escapes her lips as the rider speaks. He was telling her that she couldn’t be there? Ha. Unlike most elves Caspia had no qualms with fighting, she did not tip toe around a fight trying to avoid one, and on the other hand she loved to fight! Caspia smirked as Amira growled, the deep throaty sound vibrated through Caspia. The purple dragon wanted action, she just like her rider loved to fight and like all dragons she would not avoid a fight, but instead create one if she really wanted to. Crossing her arms stubbornly over her chest Caspia glared at the other rider. ”I was not asking your permission to stay.” She said, her voice cold, it carried easily over the wind to the other rider, for the wind was blowing with her words sending them over to Thorn and Murtagh. ”Amira and I have no intentions of leaving.” She continued, Amira growled in agreement, the pair did not take orders from anyone and they most defiantly did not take orders from a lowly boy like Murtagh.

Murtagh seemed to be expecting such an answer as he didn't appear to be surprised by it. "Then we will make you leave," he said calmly. Thorn speed forward at Amira trying to bite her just near the base of her right wing. In one smooth motion Murtagh drew Zaroc and was ready with sword and spell.

She had on her part been surprised by his acceptance of her not wanting to leave, but like most elves she thought fast and as the giant red dragon lunged towards them small, nimble Amira easily slid out of the way, her joy at finally being able to fight and do the thing the young dragon loved most radiated off her and with a ferocious snarl she spun around, her lightning speed brought her up behind the crimson dragon where she lunged forward, her teeth snapping at the end of his tail. While Amira begin her aerial fight, Caspia drew out Atylia, her rider’s sword, unlike most riders who had a matching colour she had found the orange blade to match her, colour in her case did not matter, for the orange blade was a perfect fit and could easily take out any opponent. Unlike her dragon she was not over-confident in her ability to fight, she knew she could, but unlike Amira she did not assume she would win, she held a quiet confidence in what she could do.
”Make us leave? How do you propose to do that? From what I have heard of you Murtagh, you are not much of a fighter, you are a coward.” Her taunt rung out clearly in the air, the elf was odd from her kind, the idea of battle made her happy and thrilled, taunts and teasing and opponent when she fought was a pastime for her, it added to the excitement. But then Caspia was also not ignorant, she knew that this boy was strong, perhaps stronger than them, no she was certain that they were stronger than them, but strength did not win a battle, sure it helped, but the winner would be the better thinker, in this fight. Besides if they had to run, they would, Amira was fast enough. ooc- It's fine, take your time, size doesn't matter <3

Thorn growled and pulled his tail away from Amira only just in time. No thanks to Glaedr his tail was shorter than it once was. He wasn't keen to loose any more of his tail to another dragon. He growled and opened his mouth to let red flames loose to engulf rider and dragon both.
Murtagh laughed when Caspia spoke. "You have heard from false sources then. I am the Empire's General and Champion, son of Morzan. You underestimate me. Making you leave is oh so simple," he said. He reached for the energy that sustained magic before shouting, "Thrysta vindr!" The spell would slam into them forcing them away from Thorn and himself. Shoving a dragon was no small task but the effort it took seemed to have no effect on Murtagh. He had the help of many Eldunari that Galbatorix had given him.

The crimson dragon was fast, Amira grudgingly admitted as he slid away from her razor sharp teeth and instead of feeling flesh; she felt nothing, but air. She moved back in annoyance at her lack of contact, she wanted to feel his flesh beneath her claws and the tearing of his skin in his mouth, however she did regret the idea of hurting her own kind, the red dragon was something of a mystery to her, she had never had the opportunity to become close to one and he reminded her of herself, alone. Amira ducked under the flames, the tail end of it engulfed her, but a quick word from her mind-partner stopped the crimson flames from touching her skin. She roared in defiance and prepared herself to lunge forward once more at the red beast and the human elf-like man on top, she did not like him. That elf-man threatened to hurt her rider, his words leaked over the sky aided by the use of magic as he in return answered Caspia’s taunts with his own.
"Thrysta vindr!" He roared, the powerful magic slammed into both rider and dragon before Caspia could react, but she was a seasoned warrior and as they were flung back into the air words of the ancient language flowed from her lips bringing them to a gentle stop in the air, but his spell still came and as she halted she through her hands up and uttering no words she sent the spell flying back towards Murtagh and Thorn. At the same instance Amira let out a torrent of purple flames as she snaked forward through the air back towards the red dragon, her teeth were bared in a snarl and rising Atylia above her head Caspia lunged forward, striking out at him. She knew he had wards, just as he did, but wards were weakened and an elf striking at them, no matter the strength you had drained your energy, she just had to keep doing it.
In turn Amira again reached forward with her neck to bite the red dragon on the base of his wing. ”Jierda.” She hissed, the close range helped with the spell, she felt the sap in her strength as the words left her lips, but with a sigh she shook it off, she was strong enough to handle it, but for a moment Caspia doubted just how long she could keep it up, watching Murtagh’s strength was like looking at something, no someone she had never seen before and she didn’t doubt his words when he said he was the champion he was strong she did not doubt that he was very strong, but his strength came from the Eldurani, not his own ability and with that she knew she was stronger, she was better then him. She still could win this little fight. ooc- No problemo <3

Murtagh grunted at Thorn and he were shoved back by Caspia sent his own spell back at him. He cut off the energy in the spell and it dissipated immediately. He was rather surprised at Caspia being able to send his own spell back at him. He was very accomplished in magic but he didn't know everything. One of the things he didn't know was what Caspia had just did and she had done it without speaking the spell. As Amira's flames licked towards him and Thorn he shouted, "Skölir nosu fra brisingr!" The flames harmlessly were averted around both Rider and Dragon.
Thorn angled to make a pass by Amira and snap at her flank as she tried to bite the base of his wing. He trusted the wards Murtagh had placed to avert the blow. He was surprised when a burning pain shot through his wing from Caspia's spell. She had broken some of the bones in his wing near the base. He shoved off Amira with his legs to gain some distance from her and was forced to let himself fall a little ways. He couldn't fly on a broken wing.
Murtagh pulled on the straps that secured his legs. He had modified it so he could easily undo the ties in less time. He crouched on Thorn's back and with his left hand out reached he said, "Skjortr waíse heill." It was what you might call dark magic. The spell was infused with dark magic that allowed the healing to be much faster. He had used the spell before on Thorn. It was only seconds before the wing was healed completely. Satisfied Murtagh stood up when Thorn leveled out.
"Is that the best you can do?" he taunted. He had used very little of his own energy for all the spells he had cast. His Eldunari hoard had provided him with almost all the energy for the spells. "Skölir," he muttered putting up a shield to protect him and Thorn. With a smirk he said, " Huet waíse néiat." The spell was dangerous. Murtagh had just commanded one of the leather straps on Amia's saddle to be not. It would go off like bomb releasing the energy the hide had once had when it had been on an animal. He had chosen only a small portion so as to hurt them only. He wanted to capture them and capture them alive. If nothing else the destroyed strap would make Caspia have a harder time staying on her dragon.

She had hit them, her spell caused the crimson dragon to roar in pain as a bone snapped in his wing, and she flinched at the pain-filled sound. To her surprise when the red dragon shoved Amira back she allowed herself to be pushed, Caspia patted her neck gently with her hand giving her a look of worry. Amira did not like hurting another dragon and Thorn’s hurt in turn made her feel bad for doing this, but with a rough shake she told herself not to worry, she was protecting her rider and she would not let anyone hurt Caspia. She roared in triumph at the large red dragon. Caspia watched with interest as he slid back away from them, muttering a spell that healed his wing, her eyes widened with fascination at the sped of the healing, she had not known that others just as she was were so talented in that area, she felt an urge to ask him how to do it, but looking at the situation to brushed it off. Caspia only felt slightly tired from her use of energy, but the two spells that she had done took their toll on her as well as the fact that before meeting Murtagh they had been flying for the whole day and night before, searching for a better place today, she could sense Amira’s exhaustion, hiding beneath her fierce determination.
”Is that the best you can do?” He taunted, a small smirk crossed her lips. With each move she was beginning to like this boy more and more and his spells, even aided by the Eldurani had created a curiosity in her and a certain amount of respect, he knew what to use and Caspia wanted to know how. ”Is that a challenge?” She responded her words confident, a smirk just as fierce as his crossed her lips. He again muttered another spell and she raised an eyebrow at the use of a protection, he had confused her, did he not have wards? She shrugged it off, it was just another layer of defence. Looking down at Amira she realised they would have to leave soon, either flee or end the fight, the small dragon was tired from her flight, her fitness level was high, but no dragon could fly for days with little rest, it was not in their possible, they were living animals.
With her attention elsewhere she had no time to prepare for his next words, ”huet waíse néiat." she gasped, startled as the strap on Amira’s saddle snapped. Quick as any elf, she missed the energy that flung itself at her, but she had no time to prevent the strap from slicing into Amira’s scales, mixed with the energy it dug deep into her and she roared in pain, her head swinging to see what had happened. ”It’s okay girl I’m here.” She whispered, the saddle rocked and threatened to throw her off and she tentatively removed the straps from her legs, while commanding Amira to move away as fast as she could. Amira began to move her back facing away, but the strap had managed to cling itself into her flesh near her wing and her flying was laboured, favoured to one wing. With more urgency she reached down to the wound and said, ”waise heill.” The wound healed within seconds, the words were simply, but her mind had spoken more than her words, her ability to heal was her strongest trait and she could heal most things with the most simplest of spells when others struggled. She had a strong mind.
Amira hummed as the pain left her body, taking it as a signal she turned around and begun a climb high into the sky, Caspia tried to mend the saddle, but the strap was gone, taking a great risk she removed it from her and sat on her scales, it was uncomfortable, but better than the saddle, the steep climb was welcoming and Caspia clung tightly onto the spike in front of her. Hoping she could get away. ooc - I wasn't sure if that was what the strap did, so I improvised xD

[that was just fine. I left it open so you could decide exactly what happened.] Murtagh gave no answer to Caspia's query about if his taunt was a challenge. It most certainly was a challenge and one Murtagh was confident he would win. Thorn and Murtagh seemed pleased when Amira's roar of pain marked the success of his spell. They were not trying to kill Caspia an Amira, but simply injure them enough to prevent them from fighting any more. However, if it came down to it and it was either his and Thorn's life or theirs, he would and could kill them. No life was more important to him than his and Thorn's.
He let Caspia see the injury and delayed his attack. Seeing your soul partner injured was as good as any attack. However, Thorn anticipated their retreat and was heading for them even as Amira started to ascend. He roared and tried to grab her and pin her wings against her sides. As Murtagh was standing on Thorn he had no time to retie the saddle straps to prevent himself from falling off. He grabbed a single spike on Thorn's neck and cast a quick spell to keep him from falling off. This left his other hand free to wield Za'roc. "Surrender elf and I may decide show you some mercy," he said his voice still amplified by magic. "We will kill your dragon and you if you flee," he said. They couldn't have a rider and dragon be free to oppose them when they so foolishly came right into Empire lands.

He had expected it, he knew that they would turn and run. Thorn came straight at them and not even the speed of perhaps the fasts dragon in Alagaësia could outrun that. The crimson dragon crashed into Amira and she snarled, the purple dragon had only enough time to twist herself slightly before Thorn crashed into her. Amira had moved just enough so that we he hit Amira he only got her lower body, his claws dug deeply into one of her wings and she growled in pain as it was pinned, her other wing flapped furiously and smashed into his head.
Her neck snaked forward as she attempted to bit his foot, the one that kept her wing pinned. Her claws dug into his stomach, her small frame prevented her from using her strength to escape, and she was much smaller and weaker in comparison to the red dragon. She let out a frustrated roar, glaring with eyes burning with hate at Thorn. She hated her weakness, but it was normally made up with her speed and she would usually win, but Thorn had out-smarted her so now all she did was snap at the one foot that kept her pinned with her teeth, her claws in his stomach trying to shove him away.
Caspia yelped startled as she was thrown from her dragon, her gripped loosened and she was sent flying down her dragon, she reached out desperately with a hand, clutching a spike to stop her fall. She muttered the very spell Murtagh had used to prevent further falls. Clutching Atylia she surges up her trapped dragon where she could swing her sword. ”Surrender elf and I may decide show you some mercy.” He said his voice loud and clear. Caspia snarled, her lips twisting into a grimace. She would rather die. Her weakness was with Amira, she would never sacrifice Amira, and if Amira was stuck then she would be stuck. Amira was part of Caspia and she would sacrifice her life to save her.
"We will kill your dragon and you if you flee," he continued. Caspia had already figured that out, it was pretty obvious. ”I would rather die than be known to have surrender to a coward like you.” She spits. Amira roars in agreement and pushes up harder against the red dragon. They weren’t going to give up. With anew determination Caspia swung Atylia straight at Murtagh, aiming for his chest.
The only way Amira would give up was if Caspia had been captured or almost killed, that went the same for Amira. They could not see the other die whilst the other lived.
ooc -- If you knock Caspia out then Amira will stop fighting xD

Thorn roared angrily at Amira but didn't let go of her. He was hit in the head by her wing but didn't let that deter him from holding her captive. She was small enough that he could hold her and still fly, though he would not want to have to fly like that for a long distance.
"Don't let her go, Thorn," Murtagh said. He slid down Thorn's neck slightly so he could reach Caspia and protect Thorn from her blade. Only his magic stopped him from falling off. "I won't little one," Thorn said. He winced as Amira's claws dug into his belly. He opened his mouth and unleashed an inferno of flames.
Murtagh didn't flinch for a moment but smoothly brought Za'roc up to block her attack and flicked her blade harmlessly aside. "You are mistaken. I am no coward," he said calmly. Then added. "Malthinae Shur'tugal." The energy flowed through him as the spell was cast. It was not his energy though but that of the Eldundari. The spell was to bind Caspia and prevent her from doing anything. "Thorn," he called. "Be careful little one,"
[/b][/color] he responded. With that Murtagh jumped from Thorn to land on Amira in front of Caspia. He was relying on Thorn to hold the other dragon. If not then he would be in trouble. He pointed Za'roc at Caspia threateningly. "Changed your mind yet on surrender or shall I run you though?"[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Amira snarled in pain as the dragon continued to hold her in an iron grip, she was frightened by the way he managed to fly and yet hold onto her, he was strong, stronger them Amira was ever be and for a moment she held her breath and wished that she wasn’t so small and that her sped would suddenly become her strength and she would expand, so that should could get away and so that her beloved rider would not feel as though she had a half grown dragon that could not grow and was stuck being tiny and weak. Her sped was not going to get her out of this, she needed to be stronger, but she wasn’t.
Furiously she struggled, she could feel her trapped wing tearing under her struggles and she roared in pain, but she couldn’t get free, she had to keep trying, she was stuck and she was weak, she felt empty and hollow. Shoving as hard as she can she tries to rip herself free from the other dragon, but instead only succeeds in tearing the thin skin that covered her wings and gave her the ability to fly, she whimpered. For the first time in her life Amira was scared, she couldn’t get away like she always had, she had not been smart enough to fly and avoid the red dragon that had her captured.
Caspia hears it and she hesitates, she hears the sound of something ripping, Amira cries out in pain and for a moment the world stops spinning faster than it already was and Amira’s pain fills her and she forgets her attack just as Murtagh comes forward, but she doesn’t care, the her partner of her mind was injured, Caspia’s one true love was hurt and she would do anything to help her. Her eyes blazed with hate as she took a step forward, to the place where her wing was trapped, where it was torn. Amira whimpered. Caspia felt lost, Amira was never scared, but she whimpered, she was so scared and frightened and even though they were not touching through the bond, she could feel Amira’s pain and fear.
She had to heal her, she had to make her better, and they had to get away. Murtagh yells out a spell, she spins around just in time to feel the magic wrap itself around her and hold her fast. It squeezes her tight and stops her from moving holding her in place. It felt wrong though, through her mind she could tell it was all wrong, this magic was not his it didn’t feel like the other one, it felt alien. It was strong, she felt its strength. Desperately she mumbled a spell, the spell she knew should undo his, but has her strength ebbed, she looked over him, he did not so even flinch, he did not look tired at all.
She cut off the flow of magic with a gasp. She watched eyes blazing like a million dying suns as he jumped onto Amira as he stepped onto her dragon. She stared at him her eyes drilling into him like the fires of hell, filled with hate and loathing. “Touch Amira and I will kill you. Get off of her.” She snarls, her voice colder then ice, filled so much venom that she surprised herself. "Changed your mind yet on surrender or shall I run you though?" He said, the blade of his sword ended up very close to Caspia’s face and she stared at it not even flinching. But there was desperation in her eyes that she could not even control as she glanced over at Amira.
She could see the blood, she could see the claw marks that she had made on herself and that Thorn had made on her, somewhere deep and others were not. But it was her wing that worried Caspia most, it was torn in a multitude of places and the red blood leaked through easily. If it was not healed soon it might be too late. ”Let me heal her… Please.” She replied. She could not hide her desperation to heal her dragon, to let the pain that filled her mind leave; she could not even imagine how Amira felt. She shook her head and once more whispered another spell to try and release the magic that kept her bound.
As she felt the world spin away from her she released the magic and gasped at the air as the black danced around the edges of her vision. She had never felt so weak before, she had never felt so utterly weak and vulnerable.

Thorn growled threateningly at Amira. He didn't want to risk opening his mind to speak with her, so he growled to warn her instead. If she kept struggling her wing would only get worse and a dragon with an injured wing couldn't fly. Were he to drop her, her flight would be labored and difficult at best. That was if she didn't drop like a rock onto the ground far below. Thorn was all that was between her and falling.
Murtagh heard Amira's whimpers of pain. He knew Thorn's claws had caught her wing, which could be a quite painful injury to a dragon. He knew what it was like to have your dragon in pain, but he relished in Thorn and his power to be able to hold another dragon and rider captive. Despite having to unwillingly serve Galbatorix he enjoyed the power he now had.
As Caspia cast a counter spell the Eldunari held strong and sustained his binding spell. He could feel her strength in the spell weaken as the Eldunari proved to be stronger. Murtagh smiled, clearly pleased by his success. With his Eldunaris' strength he was one of the few who was capable of binding even a dragon with magic.
When Caspia attempted another spell to get free, Murtagh just smiled. He knew the Eldunari had great strength and would not be beat by a single rider. "I don't think so," he said. He wasn't about to let Caspia heal Amira. The longer her dragon was in pain and at risk the better leverage he had. "You really ought to stop that," he commented. "You are only going to get yourself killed if you keep trying to resist my spell."
He flicked Za'roc in an arch as though he was going to strike Caspia. Instead he swung low so as to let the blade strike Amira and leave a deep gash. "You cannot best me and Thorn, I give you one last chance, surrender or Thorn will kill Amira," he threatened.

Caspia glares at Murtagh, he was being totally unfair. She looks down at her injured dragon and her inability to get rid of the spell, she was using up so much energy. Trying to get away was harder than it seemed and Murtagh was stronger than her. She growled in frustration and at her inability to do anything. She looked over at Amira again; she couldn’t look away from her dragon, the only animal, the only thing she would be willing to die for. She knew she could cast a spell to start healing her, but it would take up too much energy, the distance as well as the fact that she was very badly injured did not help.
She couldn’t leave her injured and so pain filled that it made Caspia ache like a blazing fire racing through her body, consuming her and devouring her, she couldn’t let her fill that pain and keep it with her, it was her job, her duty and everything she believed in to keep Amira safe and save her. She had done it ever since she was an egg. ”You’re a coward you know that.” She whispered, she knew that she was only saying this because she was worried, Amira was still bleeding and if she looked down she could see her crimson blood stain her scales, and it spread like lava across her as she struggled and continued to fight the dragon that held her pinned.
If Caspia looked down she could see red droplets tumble to the ground, like rain, she was losing a lot of blood, too much, way too much.
Amira snarled at the red dragon ignoring his threat, however she did stop struggling with her wing, and trying to get it free, she instead turned her head down to face her rider who was bounded by magic and could not move. Amira’s body burned with pain, but she ignored it as best as someone in her position could. She watched as her rider appeared to collapse for a moment, the spell holding her was far too strong for even her to break. Amira roared again and this time tried a different move, she shoved both of her back legs onto his stomach and dug her claws deep into his belly, instead of trying to get away she just dug her claws in as deep and as far as she could.
Caspia glared once more at the idiot in front of her. ”If I don’t keep trying I won’t be able to stop it.” She mutters. She was enraged by the way that he had said no, he said it so casually as if it didn’t matter that her mind partner was bleeding to death. Then Murtagh swung his blade up high bringing it down in an arc towards her, in what would have been a killing blow, Caspia didn’t even flinch, but instead focused him with a hard defiant gaze. Her breath caught in her throat.
At the last moment Murtagh changed his aim and instead of it hitting her blade bit deeply into Amira’s scales and went through her flesh, blood welled up from the wound, spilling onto her scales, licking at them and slowly moving to Caspia.. Caspia let out a strangled cry as Amira roared in pain, the pain that suddenly flashed into her mind passed straight through the bond and hit Caspia like a brick wall. She gasped for breath as her pain filled her. Caspia couldn’t handle this, her partner was in pain and agony, and she was hurting.
”I’ll kill you for that! You hurt her…” She spits vehemently. She struggles against the magic holding her, she was going to rip his throat out with her hands when she got to touch him, and he was going to die for that. ”Losna du malthinae sem huildr eka.” She again tried to release the magic that held her in place, as the black crept along her vision she released the spell with a muttered word, her whole body sagged against the binds that held her and that was all that kept her up.
Her breathing became laboured and she could feel her hurt beating fast, too fast for her body to keep up with. She closed her eyes for a second before they fluttered open, she stared numbly at Amira’s blood as it seeped slowly closer to her, and she was close enough to heal that wound from where she was, without using too much energy. ”Waise heill.” She muttered, she could feel her strength flee her and the world around her begin to fade. ”Huh, that’s not so good…” She muttered gently, the wound in Amira’s leg healed. Caspia let out a sigh as the world around her spun into darkness.

Murtagh ignored Caspia's insult of him being a coward. Clearly he was not. Besides he didn't rely on the opinions of others for his self-esteem. His spell kept him secrure when Amira tried to struggle against Thorn again. However, the red dragon's wards prevented any major damage. Only shallow minor wounds were left on his belly but his grip remained tight on the smaller dragon. He wouldn't let go of Amira.
Murtagh smirked when Caspia threatened to kill him. Death threats seemed to be common in his life. He knew how she felt though with her dragon injured so badly. "You sound like my father," he scoffed. Morzan had threatened him more than once in his drunken rage.
He didn't attempt to stop Caspia from healing the wound he had just inflicted on the dragon. He could tell she was weak and hoped the effort would be just a bit to much for her, but not enough to kill her. He wanted her alive. When she fainted he sheathed Za'roc before he released the spell and caught her in his arms. "I can't have you die on me," he said. He reached out and transferred some of his own energy, not the Eldunari's but his own to her. It was only enough to make sure she would not die.
"Amira, seems like you'd better behave if you want me to spare your Rider's life," Murtagh said aloud. He carefully walked over to her injured wing to examine it. "Waise Heil," he muttered. He let only enough energy flow into the spell to prevent her from bleeding to death. The injury remained mostly intact still.
ooc: xD alright. I'm going to skip ahead a bit to the "prison." My post will have a bit of power play in it, if that's not okay just let me know and ignore my post from this point on. ---------------------------------
The faint drip of water echoed off the damp, cold walls of Helgrind. It had been the nearest place that could accommodate his captive. Caspia had been placed in a small, windowless cell and chained to the wall. The moment she had been brought in she'd been drugged to prevent her from using magic or contacting her dragon. Murtagh walked through the corridor with a lit torch, he waves the guard aside who was guarding the cell and entered. The Torch was the only source of light in the cell and the uncertain light revealed Caspia's form against the wall. As was usually the case Murtagh was armed with Za'roc, he placed his right hand on the hilt of the sword and stopped in front of Caspia. Perhaps the Empire could gain a new rider and dragon.
Amira had been placed in a large cathedral. Helgrind was made for lethrblaka not dragons. The nests where the lethrblanka used to live were open and would allow a dragon to escape. So Amira had been placed in the Cathedral where at least they could close the doors. As a precaution spells had been placed to made it difficult to break the door. Plus Thorn was near by and could pursue her should the worst happen. Amira had been drugged as well, and as an extra precaution Murtagh had mutilated her wing to make flying difficult. Magic would heal it but he needed insurance that she wouldn't be able to fly off for now. Should the rider and dragon join the empire and take the oaths he would personally see to restoring her wing.

It was dark, that tiny factor did not surprise her, and she had expected it to be like that when she woke up. Her body felt drained of energy and moving seemed like too much for her right now. Being chained to a wall did not help; she was forced to sit up, her hands above her and the rest of her on the ground. She couldn’t really remember much and anything she thought of slipped from her mind in a matter of seconds. It was like grasping water, when she thought she had it, it would just run through her fingers and nothing she could do would let it stay with her for longer than a few seconds. She needed a cup. Caspia had never been drugged before and it was an odd experience.
She couldn’t quite tell why she was feeling the way she did, but she was smart and she came to some assumption that there was something wrong with her, she was either under a spell or drugged. She sat for a moment, letting the chains take all her weight, when she felt her hands begin to go ice cold, and blood at her wrists, begin to run down her arms she would lean back against the cold, wet stone. The coldness would seep through her body and she would begin to shiver, with no magic to help her keep warm she could do nothing.
She knew that when she wasn’t so tried she would probably easily be able to yank the chains away, she was an elf, she was very strong and tough, but she wasn’t yet sure if they were under any sort of spell. But right now she could do nothing, she was so tired and all this thinking was really making her head ache. She let out a tired sigh. She wasn’t scared for herself, she didn’t care, she knew she was strong as hell; she was just worried about her little purple dragon, Amira. She couldn’t bare to see her hurt, or in pain, that was her breaking point, to see anyone hurt Amira, it would literally render Caspia useless.
She loved the dragon with all her heart and if she ever got hurt, Caspia would blame it all on herself.
She heard the footsteps echo on the ground, long before they reached her; she thingyed her head to the side and listened. The footsteps were different from them all, she had listened to all the others, the way they hit the floor, the even and uneven pacing, she knew the way each and every guard walked, she knew that this person was no guard. The footsteps stopped outside of her cell and she reluctantly raised her head as the door was swung open, Murtagh stepped in the flames of a torch danced in his hand, she cringed slightly from the light. Shutting her eyes briefly, she let herself grow accustomed to it.
”’sup Murtagh? How you doing?” She asked with a grin.

Amira didn’t know where she was, she had never been to such a place before, but the light the streamed through the windows, was at least better than what Caspia was seeing. She had already tried to smash them open in her drugged state; she had barely made a scratch on them. She had tried to reach for her rider, Caspia, but she couldn’t find her mind and after a few seconds of searching she would forget what she was doing.
Her wing hurt immensely and it was that pain that often stopped her from putting down her head and attempting to sleep. After her rider had fallen, and that stupid Murtagh had picked her up, Amira had tried to fight free, and get her, but Thorn had held her strong, Murtagh had then threatened her with the only words she knew would ever stop her from doing anything. She had flown to the place she was now, she had not complained when he had mutilated her wing, she had only felt the pain and the shame of what she had been brought to. She was a proud dragon.
Right now she felt as if there was a whole in her heart and the only person that could fill it was god knows where.
ooc -- I don't mind the power-play, it doesn't bother me at all <3
