A orange flame was lit in a lantern to the side, filling the room with a persona of dread and loneliness that loomed over him like a dense mist. Nepherion stalked around his tent, as he prepared for his long journey. He hadn't told anyone of this - including Eragon-elda and Lady Nausada - because he knew many of them would condemn and rebuff his plan almost immediately. He packed his bag with dry food and the materials needed to keep Starlight's arduous maintenance manageable. Gripping the bag with a single hand he tossed it onto the made cot and begin to get himself ready.
He used a simple spell and gathered water from the soil and into his cuffed palms. His eyes looked into the rippled puddle before he splashed on his face, clearing any of the dirt from his slight rest last-night. Letting the water drip to the floor, he inhaled deeply at the thoughts of the oncoming days. He wondered how his little expedition would fair, if he could gather the needed members and power that was required for his plan. Truth be told he was already missing a key component.
His expression grew sullen as he thought that maybe, just maybe this wouldn't succeed. Any one of them could reject him and unless he found a substitute, it would mean it's cancellation. After a moment of silence, he shook his head and tossed the thoughts out. Now was the time for an iron-will and unbreakable resolve, not a weak heart and doubtful thinking. He decided that either way he would see it through to the end, regardless of his missing members. After cleaning himself, Nepherion brought his eyes on the armor and clothing he would be wearing throughout the travel.
He eyed them for little over a moment, before walking over and dressing himself. He pulled on his black trousers, then placed his deep-blue tunic over his chain-mail. Afterwards he placed his dark vest over his torso and begin to tie up the three dark rope-like material to close it up over his body. He brought his steel emblem over his left shoulder and clipped the flawless white sash onto him.
Over the time he had spent in the Varden it had become like a trademark to him, and a symbol of fear to his enemies. It flowed down to his lower back and made him feel more heroic against the odds of an army. Nepherion used little effort as he pulled his greaves over his legs and placed his feet into the leather boots. His black gloves fit nicely around his hands as he gripped strap of the bag.
He waved his hand quickly under his cot and broke the spell that hid Bid'Daum's mind and special body from the world. His hand reached into the hole and gripped the diamond body. Instantly the power of the dormant beast begin to rub against his mind, and he was once again forced to realize and feel the massive consciousness that was Eragon's dragon. For a moment Nepherion believe he saw Bid'Daum rumble to his feet as his voice thundered through his mind. Is it that time already. He asked, though his the question seemed more rhetorical than questionable. Well than, let's be off with us. I'am most eager to see the accomplishments of the elves throughout the years. Though they progress slowly, they're minds are more than just simple thoughts like humans. Excluding you Nepherion. For some reason your mind is an a storm of constant movement... It's as if your always thinking... Even when your sleep. Nepherion placed Bid'Daum in the brown sac, so he wouldn't have to feel the dragon's overwhelming reserves, then paused. " You've touched my mind when I was sleeping ? " He asked casually , while hooking the sac to his waist and placing the spell that would alert him and keep anyone from snatching him from the loop. I did it once. I was only curious. For unlike any mind I've seen, yours is most peculiar. A chuckled escaped from the two as they headed out the tent.
He came to the entrance of the tent and stopped. Nepherion noted the feeling that he was once again leaving a home that had meant something to him, but unlike Terim he had promised himself to return. So he turned back towards the dark space and spoke. " Well, I'll be back as soon as I can. So try and remain standing will ya. " As he walked away, he blew out the small lantern on the side and extinguished the orange hue that once filled the room with it's ominous glow.
Stepping out on the soft, dry, dirt of the Varden's ground, he looked up at the sky. It was barely lit with the subtle gray of the sun's rising. The night still had a evident grip on the sky to the east , and to Nepherion it appeared to be some godly battle for territory - with the sun gaining footing from the west and south - To no surprise, it reminded him of the Varden's battle against the Fallen King. One step at a time they were slowly encroaching on Galbatorix's front door. It wouldn't be long now and he needed to be ready.
Starlight stood on the small cliff, looking out towards the Varden's soil. His feeling of reluctance and objection flowed freely from his otherwise steel mind. With a smile, Nepherion walked over and stood beside him. The soles of his boots leaving it's imprints as he walked. The two looked at the quiet camp for a moment in complete silence, as time passed by, the war of night and day begin to unfold more vibrantly . It wasn't until the first sounds of the Varden's awaking did Starlight brake the silence. Are you sure about this ? This could possibly cripple you. Do you wish to be like the Mourning Sage ! Starlight's voice held a edge to it. Causing, Nepherion to tense up slightly.
Nepherion looked up towards his snout, only to see Starlight still gazing at the camp. He knew Starlight was against this, but he didn't have a choice. If he wanted to keep him and himself alive, he needed this power. It was a necessity, not a want. He had to find someway to compete, and after all the research and studying, this was all he could think of. To invoke the deepest of magics and allow it to mold him. Somewhere deep inside he hoped for it to keep him close to a human, but he knew magic was unpredictable and that it could possibly destroy him. That was why he recruited several elves and was bringing Bid'Daum with him - though the other wouldn't know that - to help. But even than, It could still mean the end of him.
It frustrated him that he had to explain this to the one being that was closest to him. Nepherion knew Starlight was just worried, but even than he felt he would understand his reasons. He hadn't wanted to, but he felt it slipping from him, all the feelings of his weakness begin to slide from his grasp and eventually just flowed.
" Yea.. I know. But this isn't something I can just gain by hard-work and training. " The muscles in his jaw became knotted and his eyes tighten into squints as he begin to accept his weakness. " I'll never be able to hold my own against elves and Eragon-elda. " His teeth clenched even harder as he gazed down at the soil. His emotions of self-doubt and pity begin to flow freely. " Dammit ! I don't want too ! I wanted to be a human with the possibility of competing with them, A human that could show others the power we possess ! " He opened his eyes and stared angrily towards the ground, his breathing hard and untamed. " But after fighting so many. I- I just don't see how humans can ever competed with beings like Eragon or Murtagh, or even Galbatorix... No..Especially Galbatorix. " He said grimly, bringing his head back up. His brows were locked into a smooth furrow and his mouth was in a straight line.
Nepherion could feel Bid'Daum observing them, quietly awaiting the end of the conflict. His mind refrained from speaking, but he knew that the dragon had much to say. He would probably get a ear-full later for his unsightly meltdown.
Starlight stared off towards the sky for a moment. Unwilling to confront his Rider's raw emotions. Everything Nepherion had said, he had already felt. It was in the bond the whole time, but he wished that he would have held out a little longer. Maybe in time they could find a way to surpass a two-legs-round-ears limitations. Finally he turned towards his tensed Rider and brought his head over to his brow. A soft , warm gust expelled from his nostrils as he assured Nepherion that had received his message loud and clear. Starlight could feel Nepherion soothing into his normal state, as he felt his hand against his pale, smooth, jaw. I will be with you every step of the way. Forgive my ignorance my dear Rider.
A small, quirky smile curved Nepherion's lips. No, Forgive me. I should have never tried to push this on you. He stated. " Now. We must make haste or the day will escape us. " He, refilled with a resolve that was almost comparable to real energy. The small conversation had left it's gloom on them, but was quickly dispelled as the two exchanged pleasantries. As they made the final preparations, Nepherion strapped on Starlight's saddle and climbing into it with a hefty leap. He positioned himself comfortably in the saddle than secured his feet in the loops. His bags sat in the back of the ebony saddle, holding the heart of Bid'Daum as well. Nepherion sat at the base of his neck and looked him down from his snout to tail. You're really growing Starlight. You always grew quickly but this is just startling He placed the next question to Bid'Daum. Is this your doing Bid'Daum-elda ?
The dragon simply let a deep rumble escape. The inheritor of my Rider's will needs to have a war worthy dragon. Starlight is a fierce dragon in mind, he only needed the body to match. . A sorta mirthful feeling seemed to exert from his Eldunari, putting Nepherion and Starlight in a good mood.
Starlight's scale shimmered against the rising sun as he sprung off the ground and climbed into the sky with three flaps of his large wings. He tucked them in tightly and spun - just to add a little excitement to the take off - before locking them in, once he was high enough to feel the current guiding him. Nepherion's world was turn upside down in a moment's notice than back. " You sure are lively. " He said.
Starlight's massive size raised higher than the clouds as he banked around and headed towards the Varden's campsite. He was a good margin, bigger than a house, but still lacked the sheer muscle Thorn had and the experience Saphira had. Starlight's body was long like Saphira's, but held more muscles which made him a candidate for both air and ground battle. His scales blended in with the clouds as he passed over them, leaving only his shadow to be seen below. So... Where to first ? He asked, half-flying and half-gliding towards the Varden. Nandon is first. He's the one I expect to have my back the most. He should be at his campsite with the Hatchling. He thought . With a silent agreement, Starlight turned towards the elven's campsite, passing over several tents and people below.
Nepherion closed his eyes for a moment as he planned the rest of the journey. He would have to find Feanaro next, and another possible candidate later. He/she would need to be an elf with considerable knowledge under their belt. He reached out into his bag and pulled out a thin, hard-back book. It was covered with a red leather material and in gold letters had the title embroiled Lineage Of A Man, The Guide To Elves. He studied it for a while. Feeling every subtle turn that Starlight made until he finally found himself still and motionless. Starlight pulled Nepherion out of his book once he had reached Nandon's campsite. He was surprised to find that the impact of his stop hadn't jarred him from his book. " Look who got better at landing. " He pointed out before casting his mind out for Nandon.

Nandon was asleep on his cot his still small dragon curled up on his chest radiating warmth from its belly... As nepherion cast his mind out the dragon tensed causing its sharp claws to dig into nandons chest and nandon screamed as much as from suprise as pain and leaped up tearing down the tent as he pulled the canvas up off the poles so the heavy wool came crashing down on him the dragon now thuroly spooked clung on by its claws now entrenched in nandons chest he slowly pulled the canvas off him and got out of the tent the dragon clinging to his chest now painless because nandon had cast a spell... Nandon looks at nepherion and places his hand on his face then points at the dragon "Are you happy? This was actually quiet painful..." Nandon said as he slowly pried the hatchling off his chest and set him down next to him... he looked down at the wound and healed it with a quick word... He looked down at Ryu and sighed reaching out his mind "You really need to calm down some time Ryu.... That hurt!" Nandon said only receiving a dim response from the dragon... nandon sighs and looks up "Are we ready?"

Nepherion winced slightly as his ears picked up the commotion within the tent. Soon afterwards, the tent came tumbling down, causing a hint of laughter from the pair. A toothy grin opened Starlight's powerful jaws. It was quite a menacing appearance to be honest, even if it was all in the bliss of the moment. Nepherion unstrapped his legs from the saddle and leaped down with a thump, his movements not quite as elegant as an elf's. As he stuck the landing, a cloud of dusty dirt billowed from around his steel-plated boots - a testament to the soils sun-dried ground. Nepherion smiled as he made his way over to Nandon-elda in the new hatching Ryu, raising his hand in a palm forwards salute he said. " Oh yea. My bad, I never meant to spook Ryu. " He said with a slight chuckle. His left-gloved hand was wrapped casually around Brojska's handle, his thumb pressing ever so lightly on the pommel. The alabaster scabbard shimmered vibrantly on his side, as he walked, the sun seemed to refract the cable-like patterns . " How is the youngling anyway ? " He asked, turning his cerulean gaze on Ryu.
Starlight stepped lightly towards them, but held tremors for every step his milky paws took. A small stream of crimson flames spurted from his nostrils as he arched his head towards the hatching, eyeing him with a unnoticed kindness, that Starlight rarely showed. Though, Nepherion was capable of feeling the gentle care that Starlight took with being near the young dragon. Was I as small as him when I hatched ? Nepherion took another look at Ryu before answering. Not quiet. You were a head or two bigger than him... He said, reaching a hand out and placing it on the base of Starlight's neck. And really I wouldn't have you any other way. Starlight release a content hum through out his throat before finally looking towards Nandon. A slight mark of irritation instantly struck the dragon's core. Nandon. He said, greeting the elf in a stoic tone.
Nepherion's face turned vague, almost blank as he felt Bid'Daum touch his mind. The continent-size thunderheads slowly moved onto Nepherion's mind as he spoke within his thoughts. We must make haste. I wish not to lay quite on your hip all day. Let us move on. He hissed, receding back into the Eldunari and leaving Nepherion with a pep in his step to get the show on the road. " Well.. " Nepherion started, as he climbed back onto the saddle, strapping his feet in and looking down toward the elf - the bags in the back left enough from for Nandon behind him - " Are you ready Nandon-elda. Feanaro is next on the list. " He said. Starlight flapped his wings roughly, flipping the downed tent across the campgrounds, a deafening roar escaped his jagged teeth as he declared his presence in the area.
Birds hurried from the cover of trees, rushing out from the hysteria in their own minds. Nepherion knew this because as usual, he checked the confines of the area around him with his mental range. Feeling around for any unknown presence or thought that shouldn't belong there. Being connected with the birds for that split second, ensure Starlight that his mission had been completed. He scared away the bucks and other small mammals back into hiding. And given the birds a scare terrifying enough to send them south a couple of months early.
Once on, Starlight would rush from ground with a burst of energy that would send the group backwards - all except Nepherion, who was strapped tightly in the saddle and hugged close to Starlight's hide from the experience with him. A stream of wind caused his ears to become deaf for a moment, then as Starlight stabled his flight the sounds around him returned. Starlight hung in the air, motionless and silent - all except for the powerful beat of his wings that cause a constant, almost ritualistic drumming in Nepherion's ears. Do you know where Feanaro lives. Starlight asked, a bit of teasing in his regal voice. A thinking hum vibrated Nepherion's throat. " No. But I have an idea that may help us locate him. " He said aloud. Taking a moment to think of the words and how he should organize them to use the least amount of energy, he begin to reached into the well of his strength and pull on his magic. He spoke a series of words in the ancient language, than suddenly felt a thread of invisible magic tugging him towards the elf, it was undoubtedly Feanaro's string of energy, and it pulled at him like a line from a fish rod. This was no doubt the cause of Nepherion's spell.
Instantly Starlight's head perked up and turned towards the west. Got him. He growled, before turning his body westward and flapped heavily towards the area. The magic wasn't as draining as one thought, though it did take a steady amount away. Nepherion was smart enough to end the spell once he had a good take on the elf's position - as to not weaken him before his transition. A minute or two later, Starlight found himself lowering on the patch of a grassy area, near them was several tents that Nepherion refused to allow Starlight to land near, from fear of him crushing who ever was inside. Instead, Starlight landed in a clearing of grass a half mile or so away, causing Nepherion to have to walk. As he unstrapped himself and leaped off Starlight, Nepherion turned to Nandon with a steel gaze or careful determination. " Mind staying here while I go get Feanaro. The choice to help me must be his and I fear your appearance with me will influence his answer. " He said, looking up into the angular face of the elf. " I would really appreciate this, Nandon-elda. " As he said that he turned towards the section of the Varden, bringing his white sash flapping behind him. He raised a hand towards Starlight and the others as he headed towards Feanaro , his back to them and his resolve left lingering. " Be back in a little. " He assured them as he started off into a jog.

Feanaro was off takeing the quick morning dip in a near by stream, his tent was was not to far away near the other merchant tents that held the men an women who travels alagaesia selling an tradeing iteams. He Happend across then wile in his travels an decided to camp near them an the fact that feanaro enjoyed talking an some times bartering with the men an women was a plus. Most of the humans were excites when they seen feanaro cause he was an elf though he was quite different from his brethren,he was tall an stalky built standing 6'2in an weighing a solid 200lbs. Feanaro also had his hair in what he called a Mohawk going in short thick locks down the center if his head the feast of his skull was bald. He also ate meat witch attributed to his bulk.
On this day feanaro awoke early to go fishing for breakfast an came upon a good bundle of salmon catching 5 with his bow . Once he skinned an seasons the fish he set up a small camp fire to cook his breakfast ,along with setting a a small pot of water for boiling so he could have tea with his assortment of wild tea leaves he always had. After everything was set feanaro headed off to take a quick dip to refresh him self in the near by stream. After around 10 minutes he returned to his camp site to settle in an relax an enjoy his meal, feanaro ate three of his salmon an left the other two for a possible lunch or midday snack, drank his tea an remained by his fire simply looking into the flames lost in thought.
After a he felt digested an refreshed feanaro went on to his usual morning ritual of stretching for a half hour then moving on to meditation for a wile. Feanaro enjoyed both activities cause they allowed him to relax an focus his mind on something simple. He was doing one of his faveriot exercises witch involved meditating wile floating a few feet in the air,it was difficult cause it required a vast amount of concentration. Not only on focusing on the spell but also being about to clear your mind an relax till you felt to tiers to hold the magic any longer. Feanaro found d this to be a good way to strengthen your hold on magic an your focus. So he remaind like this for quite some time, just floating three freed from the ground legs crossed over one another an hands resting on his knees.

[ooc= This thread will be slightly different than a normal thread. It will work with a idea of introduction. Once I find everyone than I will establish a posting order.] Nepherion walked the trail-less area, his mind taking note of the sentient beings around him. He had paid little attention to anything besides those that could harm him. Anything else was of little importance. The sun was still rising from the west, overtaking the east with a presence that seemed almost benevolent in it's gray light. A cool, clinging chill tried to grip at his bones, but was warded off by his clothes. As was habit for him, Nepherion gripped the handle of his milky blade: Brojska. It was a comfort that couldn't be found in many places for him.
He made his way up the slope and found himself stopping at the slight incline downwards. Straight ahead of him, his eyes caught glimpse of the few clusters of the merchant's camps and traders, who were trying to push their goods on others. To his west was the sound of flowing water, a calm as it was, the water still crept by with a subtle ease. The wilderness around this area is beautiful. To bad I can't indulge in it for a little. He reminded himself.
He took his index finger and rubbed his left brow as he recalled the words of the ancient language his used before. The words slipped off his tongue and the thread once again established it's link on him and tugged him towards the stream. He turned his eyes on the stream and deduced it was a few yards away. To the east was nothing but a scattered cluster of trees, that seemed unwanted - as no tents had been placed under them. A shuddered sigh escaped him as Nepherion trudged down the slope and towards the flat land of the stream.
The stream seemed to grow louder down the closer he came. Nepherion couldn't explain it, but in a way it made him feel at peace with the world around him. Coming from behind a large tree, he eyed the back of the floating Feanaro and all at once the feelings came back to him. The resolve to conquer the weakness that human's held compared the other species of the land. Though he was sure Feanaro felt his presence by now. Elves had a certain knack for always being on guard. If they weren't, it would be much simpler to kill them. For a moment he hadn't wanted to interrupt the elf's training, but he knew that patience wasn't one of Bid'Daum's strong suits. Even as the dragon laid on his side, he could feel his mind on the precipice of nudging him to hurry up.
With a subtle cough, Nepherion squared his shoulders and brought his hand to his mouth. " Could you spare a moment ? " He started, eager to get to the point. " I was wondering if you were willing to hear me out on a proposal. " He said, then he begin to explain his situation in great detail and how he proposed that they perform a magic ritual to invoke a transformation, though he intentionally left out anything involving Bid'Daum or his help - the great gem on his hip made sure of that. After finishing, Nepherion created a position of authority as he rested his hand on Brojska and laid his left hand on his side. Through his brief encounters with the elf, he seemed very kind, kind in a way that made Nepherion believe he would help with his insufficient power." Will you help me ? It would be great honor to be assisted by you. " Nepherion's white hair seemed to scuffle with breeze, his hair reaching down to his neck and the bangs framing his ears slightly longer than his jaws.

As feanaro meditated on into the morning he made sure to keep his other senses at there highest. So if anything or anyone came apon him he would know immediately, as time when on feanaro suddenly herd what sounded like someone approaching. His elven ears flicked with the sound of grass an leaves being crunched under feet, soon after he felt the presence of a consciousness that felt vaguely familiar to him. He felt his consciousness before but wear an who it was he could not remember, till he herd this person get even closer. Opening his eyes as nepherion cleared his theoretical feanaro then knew who it was, the rider he met of brief occasions near belatona.
Feanaro turned his head towards the rider wile still floating in the air for a few more momments, before he finally out both feet firmly on the ground an stretched quickly bending over an graving both ankles, his for head touching his shins. Then feanaro approached nepherion an though they have met before feanaro was respectfully since nepherion was a rider but the elf still remaind cautious of him.
Nepherion spoke as feanaro approached him the elf was listening intently since it was not often a ride sought out help from someone who was not a rider. As feanaro got within five feet of the rider he stoped and crossed his arms, thinking heavily about what nepherion was explaining. An after the rider finished speaking feanaro remained silent but kept his piercingburning unblinking gaze fixed on nepherion as if he was gassing into the riders very soul.
Finally after a few minutes of awkward silence feanaro spoke kindly to nepherion "though you nmay not know this but I hold no love for the empire nor the varden I intact feal quite natural about both sides simply because war is a horrible action.BUT seeing as you are a rider an someone I have shared brief pleasantries with I sense that you have a good heart an truly want this transformation to better your self not just to aid in the slaughter of hundreds if not thousands of men. But because you feal inferior to other riders an elves an for this I shall help you only because you are one of the few riders an you are protectors of this land an should be given aid when ever you seek it. So nepherion I shall agree to lend my power snitch skill to help aid you. "
Feanaro then fell silent an remaind studying this rider wile he awaited his reply an reaction. Feanaro was no fool he knew this rider was young an inexperienced but that was not his fault. But he need assistance if he is to face off against riders like galabatorix and murtaghs along without any other riders the empire may have. Feanaro was natural at the momment but if a rider, varden or empire sought out help he felt he should do what he can to aid them.

[ooc= Ok guys, to save some time. Cause were far from done. I want Cass to be the next to post. Once I convince her to join, than we will establish the order. ] The elf's gaze on him would have shook him, if not for his deep resolve to become stronger. As the silence passed by, Nepherion begin to wonder if he had said the right thing, or maybe that he could have reworded it somehow. Really he wondered if Feanaro was going to deny his offer, simply because it seemed he was hungering for power. A impatient sigh was released as he waited, than Feanaro begin to speak.
His words were indeed sincere and Nepherion knew that the elf was going to help. Nepherion bowed lightly, a smile gently on his lips. Most Rider's wouldn't have bowed because of their pride or dignity. But, Nepherion was raised in a home and was taught values, he knew he owed the elf alot for his participation. " Thank you so much. I greatly appreciate this. " He said. He had contemplated saying it in the ancient language, so that Feanaro would really know how much gratitude he held. But some words were just out of reach for his small collection, so he settled with just the bow.
Once he was raised up from his bow, Nepherion looked around, than placing a hand on his hip and scratching the back of his head looked off towards the stream. " Now. " He said, wondering how to word the next sentence. " I'd hate to take you from your mediation. But we must leave now. I have another person I must convince. And I fear she will not be easy. " Turning towards the general direction of Starlight and the others, Nepherion spoke through the weakened bond. Hey, I've got his help. Can ya hurry over here ? He asked.
He got Starlight's answer from within the bond, than quickly notice the shimmering mass rise into the air and towards them, his wing beating louder than the low stream beside them. So he said yea. Did it take much convincing ? He asked, approaching closer and closer. Nepherion turned around and face Feanaro, allowing the wind swirling around Starlight's wings to beat the back of his hair. Not really. But I'm happy he is coming. Feanaro is just as strong as Nandon-elda. This much I'm sure of. He said mentally then. " Are you ready Feanaro ? Let's us Ride. " He asked aloud. Starlight landed with a crash, the length of his body was a good portion the length of the stream, but still a intimidating sight , for thanks to Bid'Daum he was slightly bigger than Saphira. His alabaster neck lowered as he placed his crimson gaze on the Alfkin. Thanks for aiding my Rider, elf. He said, indifferent. It lacked much emotion but held a certain genuine-feel to it.
Nepherion found himself stumbling at the large tremor that Starlight caused. Bid'Daum laid on his side and the sac shook, tugging at the wards and draining him lightly of his strength. It wasn't enough to cause a noticeable difference, but Nepherion could feel the drain of his magic. He looked towards the sac that housed the large eldunari. Be careful young Starlight. You almost revealed me, if not for Nepherion's wards I would have fell open. Starlight consoled the large diamond. I'am sorry Bid'Daum-ebrithil. Nepherion stopped himself from thinking about Bid'Daum -remembering the presence of the others - then brought himself back to Feanaro within a blink of an eye. " Let's go ! " He exclaimed happily, hurrying over to Starlight and leaping from his forearm to his place at the base of Starlight's neck. He strapped his legs in quickly and waited from Fea to board the saddle, now reaching it's capacity.
Starlight spoke to the three of them. We are ready to take off. Hold on sharp-ears. If not for the elves lithe-like structures, he would of had trouble keeping in the air. As he soared even further pass the boundaries of the Varden, Nepherion could feel Starlight's curiosity rising. Are we going to see them next ? He asked, partially reluctant to face " them " again. Nepherion remained silent as they soared, knowing that Starlight knew who they were seeking. As he searched out with his mind, encompassing the whole of air around them. He wished if only by luck that he would touch her mind again, to reach out to her and talk about his plan. He wanted to contact.. Caspia.

She didn’t have a real home, nothing around her was her home, all her life ever since she had hatched she had never felt safe in the world, and the only times she had was when Caspia was on her back and they were high in the air, where no one could touch them and when they dared to hurt them Amira knew she could beat them, because she was the best aerial fighter she knew and no one could beat her, or so she thought. Amira was a naïve six month old dragon how believed that she was special, owned the sky and held immense power, but she was also smart enough to know that there were to hers out there who wanted her blood and wanted her to be part of their sides where she would have to fight, but she let Caspia make those kind of decisions. Amira found herself as the muscle the one that fought, scared away animals and protected Caspia, but Amira knew that in Caspia’s eyes she was her protector, she had looked after Amira ever since she was in an egg, she had healed her and cared for the dragon all her life and they had a unique bond that no one could ruin, they fought for each other and protected each other, they always would do that.
On the day that Nepherion and Starlight arrived they were flying high in the sky, Caspia was perched on her back, her eyes searching the sky, her bow and arrow in hand, waiting for some bird to cross her path. Unlike most elves she understood what the animals spoke, she knew everything about them and that they did not wish to be killed, but she had been unable to give up her love for meat, so instead she had aimed her skills at animals that were wounded, or carried diseases, although she knew she could heal them, she also knew that killing them would simply put them out of their misery and she would have the meat that she wanted without a guilty conscience. Amira had no qualms being a dragon and she enjoyed being able to hunt with her partner of her mind, she often liked to show off showing Caspia just how much of a mighty hunter she was. Right now Caspia had removed the saddle, making it much more comfy for Amira whilst they hunted, and she sat perched like a bird on her back, only using her balance to stay on Amira. Amira twisted in the air, rising into a steep climb, Caspia let out a startled gasp as her balance was suddenly interrupted.
Amira! She said sharply, Amira looked over her shoulder and saw her riders grin, Amira roared out loud in response as she twirled, her wings tight against her sides until her momentum stopper her from moving. Hold on. The words were laced with excitement and a cheekiness that made Caspia cling to the spike in front of her with all the strength she had, she knew what was about to happen. I’m- They were the only words she managed to say before she let out a startled cry as Amira tipped before beginning the fall, her wings were pinned to her sides and now gravity took control, Amira added to the fast fall by spinning, like a torpedo, going faster and faster until Caspia could barely hold on any longer. The ground was coming close so very fast, only meters away, it was closer than Amira had ever gone, so close and Caspia grabbed onto the spike tighter, ”AMIRA!” She screamed, screw the mind bond. Amira stretched out her wings and suddenly with a sharp jolt she was shoved back into the sky, her hands scrambled over the spike to keep her hold and she laughed with delight, Amira had perfected her fall.
How was that?! She said in triumph as she flapped up into the clouds once more. That was amazing! The best one you have done yet! She responded patting the purple dragon on the neck, in response Amira roared and ruefully Caspia decided that there would be no hunting today, every animal, bird to fish would have been scared away by her powerful sound, everyone in over a ten mile radius would have heard. That was when she felt it. Amira did too. Caspia. She said urgently, her walls immediately were up and they were in Caspia’s mind as well, protecting her as well, so that they could still communicate, Caspia, added her walls, for more protection. Amira went up high into the sky, staying in the clouds so as to not be seen, but she was purple and her roar would have told everyone that she was there, hiding. The pair sored high above and Caspia removed herself from the intruders touch, but she could sense that they were a rider, the touch felt familiar as if she had felt it once before and she sat upon Amira pondering it. I know them, that touch it was too familiar. She said looking at the dragon for help. The dragon paused for a moment, flying quietly over the clouds. I agree, their touch is familiar, a person, elf, rider, whatever you want to call them, people that we have not seen for a long time. The elf nodded, she knew that, but she was annoyed she didn’t forget information like this easily.
That was when Amira tilted slightly downwards. I see them. Were her only words, then she saw them too and Caspia drew Atylia as the sped towards the rider, at the least second she realised who they were and shouted for Amira to halt her attack, the purple dragon stopped abruptly in front of the rider and dragon. Nepherion and Starlight. She eyed them coolly, ”what are you doing here, Nepherion?” She said stiffly, Amira eyes them with suspicion all too aware of Caspia’s feelings towards the pair.

Nepherion's mind searched through the cloudless, blue sea, touching the minds of the various beings around. He touch a couple of birds, who seem unaware of his presence against their's, all that lied within there thoughts were the instincts to survive, hunt, and fly. A smile of simple wonderment, curved Nepherion's lips mid-way. It was a pleasure to see the normality of the world. Especially since his had changed so drastically from the small act of touching. Then as he continued searching -his tendril reaching further with every yard covered by Starlight - he heard the deafening, yet familiar sound of a dragon's roar.
Lifting his head slightly, Nepherion finally felt the mind of the one he was searching for. Though it was short lived, for she had placed barriers around herself, thick, powerful barriers. He receded his mind from hers and opened his azure eyes - they were vibrant like the waters of the ocean at it's deepest pools. " Found her ! " He exclaimed, all the while smiling. Starlight continued straight forward and released a grunt. This won't be easy... Nepherion's expression straighten out from his grin. It was more blank, holding only the slight feel his innocence usually held over it. " I know.. But I atleast have to try. " He answered.
Starlight came to a quite halt, a low growl begin to exert from his throat as he conveyed his emotions to Nepherion. With a subtle movement of his head, he looked up into the sky and begin to anticipate the purple dragon's descent onto them. His upper jaw snarled up -revealing his ivory fangs - as he spread his wings and begin to flap them ferociously. Starlight flew back and Nepherion found himself drawing Brojska from it's sheathe. As both Rider and Dragon showed themselves, Starlight found himself glaring at Amira. He couldn't help it, it was like an unspoken hostility between dragons, an hostility that was largely because of their Riders. He dared not open his mind to the two, not until Nepherion deemed it safe too. A little taller than Saphira herself, Starlight seemed gratful for Bid'Daum's influence. It made him appear more powerful and that in turn deterred other dragons.
Nepherion held Brojska over his head, out and ready to strike if need be. He stared at Caspia for a moment, allowing their rough entrance to subside. As she spoke his name, a series of emotions flowed through him. Like the first time they met, Nepherion wondered how she had obtained such a alluring and beautiful voice. Though not so different from other elves, just something about hers caused a slight fluctuation in his normal demeanor. A soft pink, decorated his pale cheeks and for a moment more he found himself speechless. Nepherion... Bid'Daum said, his deep voice echoing throughout his mind and catching the boy's attention. Nepherion gulped and brought his face to a determined grimace. " Caspia... I need your help. " He said, before explaining all the on goings of his plan. It was difficult to explain at times as he felt a little shy of showing his weakness to the woman, but he continued on. Even going as far as to explain how he felt compared to the strength that the elves and enemies like Murtagh and Galbatorix held. With a angered glare he looked down towards the wide expanse of Alaegasia below them. The clouds wispy like structured blew under them and floated north, stretching out all the while.
" I have this idea though... One that may help me. " He spoke, finally placing his gaze on Caspia. It was filled with a type of determination that would crush any barricade in it's way, if not than it would surely attempt to. " Eragon-elda told me of the Blood-Oath celebration that changed him. It took a massive amount of energy and I know that It would take even more for this one... That's why I need you, Caspia. Your knowledge far surpasses any in this kind of thing. " His white hair was ruffled as a harsh gust of wind blew through the currents. The sound of Starlight keeping himself afloat seemed to echo through his hearing and it sounded powerful, so he knew that it was irritating to the elves. With a quick twist of his wrist he sheathed Brojska into the white iridescent scabbard, feeling rather safe. " If you accept... Then i will tell you more on the way.. I want this done as quickly as possible, Before anyone has time to intervene. "
Starlight could feel the torrent of Nepherion's emotions as he spoke. The pain, the fear, the hurt pride.. all of it seemed to hit him like a tone of bricks. It was hard for him to see his Rider in such a weakened state, no matter if it was mental or physical, It hurt all the same. Though he would not allow Amira or Caspia to see it. He maintained his ravenous snarl at the dragon and found himself ready to pounce if need comes. Even as he held this savage, eye lock with the beast. He still felt himself superior, as if no matter what the dragon did, he could and would not defeat him.

Amira stares at the newcomers suspiciously, she could remember them clearly, but Caspia seemed a little hostile towards them, her feelings played with Amira’s and so she kept herself closed and guarded. It had been a long time since she had seen another dragon, longer that anyone had come to their home and disturbed them. When they saw soldiers they attacked and rid them from their land, but they couldn’t really attack these guys, they were not evil. Amira flapped her wings steadily as they hovered over the land, but her eyes never left the dragon, she was waiting for any sign that he would attack.
The young purple dragon was strong and brave, she may be small, but her sped would make up for it, if they were to fight she believed she could win, the white dragon looked very clumsy and not very agile. From past experience’s she could remember him as strong, using his size to his advantage; he was fast, but compared to Amira? No dragon could match her sped, she had been born to be fast, it was why she was small and it was why she believed she would grow no bigger, she did not have enough strength to carry more than two people, but she had sped.
She felt Caspia’s surprise ripple through the bond and her eyes moved briefly from the white dragon, to the rider, she hadn’t heard anything he had said, but Caspia quickly filled her in on all the information and she in turn showed her surprise at his idea. Caspia looked at Nepherion with something like a bit of disbelief. ”You think your weak.” She said softly looking at him, her eyes flickered to her dragon, she knew Amira understood exactly how Nepherion felt, she felt weak and horrible, Caspia had come to the conclusion that her dragon would never be big, Amira knew it as well, but they both hoped she would suddenly have a growths spurt.
”I understand where you are coming from, but sometimes you have to see who you are and what you have, not what you could have. You have so many capabilities why make yourself better, when you can just nurture and make what you have amazing?” She asked. She was curious as to know how he planned on doing this and his flattery had fallen on deaf ears, she would not take that, if she were to do this it would be because he could answer her and giver her a reason –a proper reason as to why he wanted this.

Nepherion’s face scrunched up into a harden glare. She had wanted a reason, a reason to why he had wanted the transformation. As he searched the confines of his mind for a quick and decisive answer, he could find nothing but the need to be stronger than his opponents and be the hero he had so strongly knew he was. His eyes quickly darted from side to side as he grasped out for the solution he thought would convince her. It was needless to say that he barely found a suitable answer. His grip on Brojska tighten from his frustrations. I need your help Starlight. I’m not even sure how to go about this. he asked stiffly. The voice of the majestic white companion brought a sense of calm to his stormy mind. He's regal touch made him feel confidence where none had existed. You started this Nepherion. Now you must finish it. he said with a touch of indifference. Search your emotions thoroughly, and if this is really what you desire then the answer will come.
Nepherion exhaled any conflicts that would cloud his thoughts, it was exhausting and he was sure agitating for Caspia. But it had to be done. Secluding himself from Starlight’s mind - leaving only a thread of thought between the two - he begin to meditate in the swirling memories that was his consciousness. Many past memories cascaded through his mind. The visions of him and Nandon training desperately to make him stronger, only for him to be beaten as easily as a twig is snapped under a dragon’s weight. Along with the fight between them and Eragon I, once again ending in his defeat because of his lack of power. Memories like those tended to linger around in his pool of thoughts, but even then he knew their had to be a reason that was of more importance. He continued to dig...
The surging sound of Starlight’s wings continued to beat as he held his mass afloat. The sun was hidden behind the silhouette of a wispy gray cloud, it's bright rays shining over and around it as the puffball passed by. Starlight’s scales shimmered like diamonds as he continued his stare at the purple dragon, though now he wasn’t snarling anymore. Their was more of a tensed grimace on his face, as if ready to pounce. Twin paths of white flames rose out his nostrils, followed by smoldering barrels of black smoke. His jaws lifted open, allowing his barbed tongue to lick the side of his lips.
It was eerily quite after the partner-of-his-heart-and-mind closed his eyes to collect himself. Starlight found it slightly irritating that Nepherion hadn’t anticipated Caspia’s inquiring questions. Sure Nepherion had grown feelings of bliss for the bright-haired-pointed-ears but that didn’t mean he had to lose his sharpness. Starlight looked at Amira, cocking his head slightly just to catch a glimpse of how her scales shimmered. The left side of her jowls sparkled vibrantly against the giant-fire-ball-in-the-sky. A snort came from his nostrils as he turned his head to her. Her's doesn't look better than mines. he reassured himself.
Nepherion’s memories was like a torrent of defeat, though not literally at all times. Some were emotional, others were irrational thoughts that seemed like defeat. Still though, he dispatched those hurting thoughts and continued to search, until finally a memory of home passed by slowly, as if rebelling against the flow he was imposing on his memories. With studious eyes he gazed at the memory, and through reliving the first moments of his life with Nix and the others he finally found the answer that held true for him.
A serene smile curved his lips as he opened his eyes. To him, it seemed like he had spent hours in his mind, chasing after the answer that Caspia had desired. But even then he wasn’t sure if it was the one she wanted hear. All he knew was that it was the answer that his heart provided. Finally, his lips begin to part and his left hand slowly rose to the left-side of his chest. ” I found it. “ he said tenderly. ” It may sound cliché and in fact I’m sure it is. But this transformation isn’t just for me. It’s for Nix too ! Nix and any other human who feels inadequate to the other species of Alagaesia. “ Though his voice was gentle, his words held a certain truth to them, a hard truth that was probably harsh to swallow. ” You see it don‘t you ? Humans try so hard.. So desperately to survive, but against odds like this...It seems damn-near impossible ! That’s why for the whole of my race, I plan on becoming a beacon. A beacon that will shine on the humans and tell them that one day, they too will reach perfection. “
As he gleamed into the hope of his race, he couldn’t help but grow glad in both voice and expression. “ And they won’t have to quiver in the wake of Urgals, or even awk and bask in the beauty of Elves. They’ll be capable of building structures just like the Dwarves. And one day they won’t fear magic… I don’t know why this vision shines on me so. But I do know this, I won’t it to come to fruition. “ He let out a deep breathe and brought his hand to Brojska. His voice was slightly worn from the speech-like answer. ” Caspia….I’m sorry if that wasn’t the answer you wanted. But if you deny me, I’ll continue searching for another. Though I really want it to be you “ he confessed.
Starlight seemed unaffected by Nepherion’s speech, but deep inside he felt confusing emotions. The images that Nepherion saw had all been shared with him through the bond. They were beautiful, but he felt that they were misguiding. His Rider had a great dream in store for his race. But a Rider was suppose to belong to all of the races of Alegaesia, not just one. Hopefully this wasn’t as serious as he was making it out to be. For now he would he would have to wait and see.

Amira stared at the white dragon, as his eyes bored into her; she knew she was far better looking than the scaly white lizard in front of her. She flashed the white dragon a toothy grin, confident in her superior feelings. She was much better looking than him; she needed no one to tell her that. Caspia listened to Nepherion as he spoke, her face remained expressionless, but Amira could feel her emotions and just how much Neph was trying to persuade her. She understood why he wanted more power, but it puzzled the elf as to why he believed it would better a thriving race. She sighed knowing and understanding why he wanted this, just confused as to why he said it would help his race.
”Neph, I understand why you want this, but you have confused me as to the reasoning behind it. You say that your kind are weak, that you will not survive, but look around you, look at you all. The humans have conquered more than the elves as; they have done so much more. You have not used magic to achieve such amazing results. Is that not an achievement? Is that not survival?” She paused for a moment letting her words sink in, she looked down at her purple dragon, who appeared to not have heard a word of what had been spoken. Her eyes stared intently at the white dragon, assessing him.
She did not doubt that he could find another to help, it would take time, but he would be able to. She watched him carefully, because he had spoken true, she knew he had meant what he said; she also knew that he had not satisfied her. His answer did answer what she had asked, but it did not make her want to help. However, everyone loved a bit of flattery and she bit her lip contemplating what he wanted, she liked this rider, he was sweet and had good intentions. She did not think this was for the best, but he seemed hard set on doing it.
She looked over at the dragon, Starlight. She wasn’t sure of what he thought about all of this. Caspia was almost about to say no, when Amira butted in, speaking to Caspia.Caspia, if you say no the others he has asked to accompany him may not be good with such spells, they will need someone to guide them, to help them. I know you do not want Nepherion to turn into a toad, they may do it wrong. Besides, travelling with him may give you time to convince him otherwise. Caspia hesitated, Amira was right, well of course she was, it was Amira and Amira was the best dragon in the whole of Alagaësia. She nodded.
”But… I will come. You will need someone who knows such complex spells. I would not be very happy if you came back as a toad. Besides, you can tell me more as to why you believe this is a good idea. You still need to convince me.” She said. She nodded her head to him, indicating him to take the lead. Amira hummed gently satisfied with her choice.

[OOC= Posting Order: Nandon, Fea, Cass.. GO!!!] Nepherion let out a disheartened sigh. His dream.. No his vision was true for him, yet it wasn't enough for Caspia. His head hung low and he looked towards the edge of The Spine, contemplating the ideas that could possibly convince her. He found himself even ravaging his own mind for answers, scraping the many thoughts that shouted out at him for anything that could help. It was true what he had said, he really did want Caspia with him. He wanted her to witness his transformation for some odd reason. Don't try to force her Nepherion. Starlight said. Nepherion straighten himself in the saddle, feeling his feet loose he bent down and tighten the straps. I can't believe she won't come with us. I feel sadden for some reason. Starlight shuffled slightly as Nepherion returned to his position in the saddle. It cannot be helped. If her reasoning is against you, then you must continue forward. So is your rebellious nature, young one. Nepherion patted Starlight on the side of his neck. He couldn't help but feel hurt, but he knew as a Rider he couldn't let it be seen. Though he felt it was a little to late for that." Yea. Well I guess we continue south-west towards the Islands. No need to hang around here. " he spoke softly.
Nepherion felt the subtle folds of the white sash under his emblem, it laid on his back but continue to billow from the trapped wind. As he shot a thread of direction towards Starlight, the white dragon begin to depart from the two, his body curved towards the south. Nepherion's face was somber as they passed by Amira. He turned his eyes away from Caspia, not wanting her to see how much her decision had affected him.
Then just as they begin to move, Caspia spoke again. Her words, little by little filled him with hope and a kind of gladness that only a companion could fill. He clapped his hands together loudly and smiled towards her. " Great ! " he exclaimed. " I'm so happy your coming. Now I won't have any regrets if something go wrong. " After saying that he had Starlight take the lead, then shooting a glancing smile towards Caspia, Starlight took off towards the islands in the south-west, the destination was the Island of Nia.
On the way there, Starlight had flew many leagues over. It hadn't been long before they crossed into a small desert. The sand seemed grainy and red, like that of the Hadarac. Starlight and Nepherion made conversation through out the morning. Thinking of the ways that the change could possibly go wrong and the possible benefits that could come from it. The main goal of this is for you to be capable of combating Elves. If that doesn't come from this transformation then it was useless. Nepherion folded his arms and tightened his legs against Starlight's saddle. Of course I know that. But many different abilities can come as-well. I know I want to remain human. No pointy ears, and no major differences in my appearance. Though I feel like that will be unavoidable anyway.
Looking towards Caspia and the others, Nepherion said. " Hey Nandon-elda. On this spell... I have most of it down pact. But I was thinking... do you guys have any ideas ? It's gonna take most of the night. " The ground underneath them looked like a brown ocean, flowing forever straight, caught in the sight of the glittering scales of diamond and violet. The grains reflected off the scales, projecting a stunning visage of diamonds and amethysts on it's surface. It was beautiful and yet eerily supernatural. It made him happy to be tangled in this whirlpool of destiny and fate.

Nandon frowned as he listened to Nepherion speak to the woman...He could almost feel the tension in the air and he smiled a little bit which imediattly left his face as he listened to the reasons...as soon as nepherion finished Nandon leaned over whispering in his ear "I dont like your reasons nepherion...Those are dangerous motives that can lead you down a dark path...Even galbatorix has stated several times those are his own goals....Just remember...If I feel you are falling down that same path. I WILL take you down...I'm creating the new you and I will sure as hell be ready to take it out...." Nandon said before leaning back he didnt like being this rough but the motives where very dangerous ones to there cause....

Feanaro sat in silence with his eyes shut ever since nepherion sought him out, it would appear as if he were sleeping. But that couldn't be more wrong feanaro was very much awake, merly lost in his thoughts as nepherion picked up another to help with his transformation. The riders reason for wanting this was a mix of good and bad an feanaro was thinking heavily on the possible outcomes. On one hand nepherion wants to be on the same level as elves for he sees humans as inferior race, an though this is true in some aspects humans accomplish amazing feats an the fact that they are not blessed with long life makes feanaro envy them in a way.
On the other hand makeing nepherion some what of a hybrid could back fire the man could grow evil or his judgement clouded by his new powers an skill. Like a mchild with a new toy he is going to want to play with it an that could be dangerous. Listening to the words nandon spoke to nepherion during the flight made feanaro feal better since he was not the onkyone who felt this way.
Fealing the need to not make nepherion feal to awkward about this whole situation with a group that is not 100% sure about this outcome, feanaro reached out with his mind to nepherion so he could speak to him in private. At first nepherion hit a solid defense an was not shocked by this but after a few momments nepherion opened his mind and an feanaro entered. "Shur'tugal it is I feanaro I wished to speak to you privately please forgive my intrusion. But I would like to express my thoughts a bit more about this matter..as I said earlier I sense you have a good heart and a pure soul, but do not let this transformation taint these qualities. I know at the momment you say you wont but let me share something with you. Heaving these powers if we are successful can be fun in a sick sadistic way,the fact that you hold more power, more...weapons an skill at your disposal can lead you into temptation an dark temptations at that, you can become a force to be held.one who any one not a rider and a pretty darn experienced at that can handle."
Feanaro paused for a momment to gather his thoughts and to let nepherion process what he was saying before he continued."I know this cause I am an elf an not only have I been trained my entire life almost since the time I could walk but I know first hand what its like to be able to snuff out life with relative ease. Its scary how easy it becomes to just brush aside lesser beigns, for less of a better word. To be faster, stronger, more apt with magic then most im not going to lie in the heat if battle it is sickeningly fun to know you have not much to fear. An this can bring you to do foolish things. Now I do not believe you will then to evil I can only hope you do not but know this.if you do I will hunt you to the edges of alagaesia an beyond through this life or the next till I send you to what ever gos it is you pray to. This is no threat just merit a warning so that you remain true to your self. I know you are a rider an you will posses new powers but even though you have you'd dragon an new skill set I am a born warrior an I also have...."Feanaro stoped him self before he revealed possibly to much information about him self that he does not like to share very often.
"I resources and......alliance to go along with a particular set of skills that I have developed through a long life of practice an training."Feanaro paused agian but this time for a bit longer "but agian I do not say this as a threat only a warning that I will not help create a monster an allow it to rampage through the land.I hope you can understand cause I believe you would do the same to me if the tables were turned." Now feanaro remained silent so nepherion could ponder his words an think of a possible response.

Caspia frowned, her eyes were glued to the figure that sat behind Neph, and he was tall and broad a warrior no less. He obviously could use magic otherwise there was no reason for him to be here. He was doing the most peculiar thing right at that moment. She watched as he leaned forward and almost rested his head on Neph’s shoulder, his jaw moved slightly and she assumed he was speaking, but form her position she couldn’t be sure, or all she knew he could be kissing him on the neck. She held back a giggle at the preposterous assumption, but it was too hard as she imagined Nepherion kissing the warrior back. She started laughing and Amira twisted her neck so that one of her large dark purples eyes could peer at her.
Caspia, what is so amusing? Caspia held her stomach with both her hands as she looked back over at the two boys, which only created another laughing fit to ring out in the air. Tears sprung to her eyes and she wiped them away and eyed Amira. Nothing, Amira, just my imagination! She said brightly. Amira snorted doubtfully, but turned her head again to keep her eyes on the situation in front of her. She loved to fly, feeling the air below her winds take hold of her and sending her higher and higher, it took little effort, but she loved it so much and she could fly for hours and days on end before she got tired.
Amira’s best ability came with her sped and how she loved to twist and turn in the air, outdoing anyone in the way of aerial combat and aerobatics. She loved to fly through the air and spin, her slim figure was small enough to give her the ability to do so, out beating everyone with her elegance in the air. She was brighter than the sun, she glowed more glorious then its radiant light, she was bigger and stronger than any tree, faster than an eagle or bird and more graceful then a swan. In her eyes she was the most magnificent animal that ever crossed the land. She had no doubt that she was far more superior then the white dragon, Starlight, she was Amira and her very name meant royalty, princess, the queen. It was who she was.
Caspia sighed; she wasn’t sure why she had accepted. What was she doing here? She really did not know. She sighed and looked back over at the rider, who wanted more power and strength, power could be dangerous when it was in the wrong hands. She looked at Nepherion evenly, he wanted power and those that craved power often abused it, she couldn’t quite tell what he was after and what he wanted to do with his strength, she didn’t believe he was telling her everything, but then she could be wrong. She shrugged and lend back against Amira. She would find out, soon enough what he truly wanted.

Nepherion seemed to have raised regrets and worries in everyone. Caspia he had known about already, but Feanaro was a little shocking and Nandon was just disappointing. He was disappointed in the fact that Nandon, through all their travels still held little trust in him. That he had little to no faith in his want to protect Alagaesia. With a sigh, Nepherion melded his mind with Starlight's - blocking out anyone and everyone else - He still doesn't trust me. In fact it seems that everyone has their doubts about my allegiance. Starlight snorted. You never gave your allegiance to anyone little one. You only follow your heart, and if they don't trust that then I say leave them be. Nepherion felt a little annoyed with Starlight's answer, but decided not to respond.
Nepherion leaned from Nandon once he finish talking. " You have to have more faith in me than that ? Did you really feel the need to issue a threat to me. " he said solemnly. " Nandon-elda I would expect nothing less from you. He kept his eyes on the sky as they flew. He wasn't sure if the sudden aggression had come from him or if he had simply been effected by Starlight's emotions. Sometimes the distinction in the link melded over one another and it often brought confusion between the two.
Starlight flapped his wing slowly, trying to expand the least amount of energy he could. He allowed the currents to carry his weight for the most part. Soon after Nandon's comment too Nepherion, Starlight's voice became open to all. If any of you wish to obtain Nepherion's life, Then you will have to deal with me first. I'am not so willing to give up his life as he is. Even if he does turn wicked. I would protect him with my dying breathe and I will burn the corpses of any after him. His tone held a threatening tone that was hinted more so towards Nandon then anyone else. And do not place yourself so high up as to make Nepherion. You haven't the power or skill to do it alone. Nandon had always irritated him with the way he spoke to Nepherion. He held no respect for him. It angered him to bounds that if not for Nepherion he would had crushed the elf long ago.
Nepherion patted Starlight on the base of neck. Now, now. Calm down. He was just voicing his opinion. I'm sure others feel the same. Leave him be. Then he felt the fingers of another trying to invade his mind. Nepherion quickly reinforced his mind's barriers with fierce speed. Then looking around he gazed at Feanaro and let out a sigh. He needed to form a link of trust with the elf so he allowed him in. Unlike Nandon's his worries were completely valid and understandable. Nepherion turned back straight before responding. I understand completely Feanaro -Vinr. If you ever feel the need to do so, then by all means do. I would surely do the same for you. Also please don't make a habit of doing that.
Starlight had been connected by the tiniest of threads. Nepherion hadn't wanted to be effected by any possible anger or aggression again. With a gentler tone he entered the private conversation. The same goes for you elven. You should be prepared to for a battle if you try. Nepherion smiled gently to himself and allowed a comforting feeling to flow through the three. No worries, No worries. I doubt even magic could change my rebellious nature. Even if a dark force did try to take over me, Id only rebel against it and turn by Good ! Starlight receded from the two with a bugle, then Nepherion receded as well.
With a deep, worn, sigh Nepherion rested from the discussion. It had left a somber feeling over him and he felt more then exhausted from today's travels. The sun is starting to set, do you see anywhere you want to land ? Nepherion gripped the white spike as Starlight waved his head from side to side and spotted a large cliff off to the side. Starlight banked off to the right and begin his decent. With a gesture of his finger, Nepherion pointed down towards the cliff. " We're setting up camp for the day Caspia. Land near the cliff. " With that Starlight headed down towards the sandy grains and landed behind the cliff. Nepherion unbuckled himself from the straps and leaped from Starlight's body. Landing to the ground, Nepherion shot his mind out around the area while he waited for the others to get off Starlight. He barely hit any life besides small desert animals and plants. It seemed safe enough.

Nandon blinked as if he had been struck at the words he sighed before speaking again "Nepherion...You know that would be the last thing I want to do...But if it should come to pass I will not endanger our entire cause...If the varden should fail us elves and the dwarves would face most likely total eradication... The humans would still live...But just in a shadow of galbatorix...." nandon said speaking calmly he leaned back and listened to starlight and sighed in his mind Starlight always seemed to hate him and he was rather sick of it... Deciding to put a end to this he looked at Nepherion and spoke out loud "Will you ask starlight to speak with me..." nandon said clutching at Ryu as they landed.

Feanaro listens as nepherion gave him a quick reply, followed his dragon putting in his two cents. Feanaro allowed a momment of silence to go on wile he still kept his hold on both dragon and rider then he spoke to starlight first."starlight I would expect nothing less from a species as nobel, honerable, and protective as yours.if it came down to it happening I would expect to feal the full wrath and extent of your power.you will also feal mine for I will not go down with out a fight it is not in my blood.but know this I searched your riders soul he has a pure heart and his reasons for this change are purely for good to over throw evil.snitch as quickly as I would hunt him down if he changed sides I would just as quickly many down my life defending both of you.I would gladly give my life if it ment keeping you both alive,I said what I said not as a threat just as a warning that ifthe idea of turning evil seeps into your riders mind I will follow him wear ever he goes I will not rest until I avenged my wrong. As I said to him if the tables were turned id expect youbtwo to do the same to me if I turned evil with these new powers. I hardly know nepherion but I sense he is a good man an if i didn't I would not be here now."
Feanaro was silent agian for a few greif seconds before he spoke to nepherion agian "like I said before nepherion I said whatever I said not as a threat but just as a warning.an like I just told your dragon as quickly as I would then on you if you went evil I would just as quickly lay down ny life to protect you both you are a good man of that I have no doubt if I didn't believe so I would not be here now. You have more power an skill then what you give your self credit for and this I know for a fact. So rest easy my friend I have full confidence that this procedure will work an that you will only change forbthe better. But to also not be cautious would be foolish there's always a slight chance that you could become evil due to this an that's why I issued my warning."
As feanaro finished speaking he kept his link with the dragon snbrider invade theybhad anything they would like to add if not then they could sever this link. At hearing that theybwere going to land feanaro was happy for his bottoms was beginning to go numb an he felt that odd sentTion of a thousands needles pricking him from baying in one position for so long.
As they landed the mental link was still intact so feanaro dismounted an attracted out his sore legs an slightly stiff back as he bent over all the way an grabed his ankles then stood up and cracks his back loudly. He still assumed nepherion an starlight may have a comment to give him so he waited to offer to go hunt until he was sure they said there peace or nothing at all plus feanaro was now searching the area with his mind to make sure it was safe.

Amira tipped downwards and begun to fast decent to the ground, the purple dragon wanted to show off and show the large white dragon how it was done, with a fierce roar she snaps her wings to her sides, her body begins the spiral, twisting in circles as she torpedos towards the flat earth below her. Caspia grins as the air wipes around her, her hair flapped against the wind, whipping her face, streaming behind her so she tucked her body inwards, so that Amira could fall faster. The ground came closer and closer with each passing second, at the last moment Amira snapped her wings out, the air caught beneath them, bringing her to a shuddering standstill, in the sky. For a brief second she was still before gravity caught up with her and she slowly made her way to the land.
Caspia let out a whoop of delight as she was jerked into the sky, she love the feeling and she loved it when Amira showed off, although she knew her wings would ache tomorrow from the two sudden stops they had performed in one day, she knew Amira would not care, just as long as she could prove how superior she was to Starlight. It always made Caspia smile, the way that dragons were so proud and competitive, they always showed off to one another, always tried to be the best and better, they could never settle for equals.
She slipped gracefully from the saddle, her feet landed noiselessly on the ground, her riders sword Atylia stayed at her hip and she gently fingered the pommel as she strode forwards towards Feanaro, Nandon and Nepherion. Her steps were light and elegant, like any elf she was fast, tall and perfect in looks. She hated it when she was around humans; she hated it when she was around other elves. She did not mind being around Urgals, in all honesty. They in turn liked her; she had become quite close with a number of clans that lived around the Boer mountains and in the spine. The Spine was actually the only place she would travel to apart from the Boer Mountains, she could hide in there and she knew the Urgals would protect her.
She didn’t really like to look at the other elves there. They reminded her of why she no longer lived with her family and then when she thought of them she was reminded of how much she hatred her family and every royal elf that has ever existed. She was an elf who pre-judged. She had to be. Sometimes those pre-judgements end up saving your life and it had saved hers on more than one occasion.
She could remember every single detail of the day she was banished; she could remember the exact tune of the song the birds had sung, every person who had stared at her, and most of all the elf that had framed her. She would never forget the contempt smile on her face. Her eyes darkened as she took in the elves, they were both tall and graceful and they both had an air of confidence, more so Nandon than Feanaro. You should see your face, hatchling. You look as if you have seen someone eat your food. Amira snorted with laughter, Caspia gave her a smile, she loved it when Amira so easily came up to her and made her feel better.
No it’s just the elves, remind me too much of the past. She replied. The purple dragon moved over to her and she reached out and rubbed her scales affectionately with a hand, the other stayed glued to Atylia. The past is the past, why bring it up now, it has happened and been, you can’t change it. Caspia nodded a frown on her head. She felt slightly annoyed with the answer. I know I can’t do anything about it, but it has shaped my life and ruined it in ways that I will never be able to fix. She replied, her hand dropped to her side. She slides to the ground beside her dragon. She felt as if she had a large hole in her chest, that no amount of time would ever heal.
Amira growled gently, only loud enough for her rider to hear. She was annoyed. Well, if that hadn’t of happened you would never have found me. I would be in the hands of Galbatorix. I wouldn’t say they have ruined your life. Those events gave you this, and everything you have now. She sniffed and turned her head away from Caspia. Caspia paused, that was true, slowly a grin replaced her frown and she stood up and hugged Amira. You’re right, I wouldn’t change a thing. Amira snorted, head butting Caspia gently.
Caspia had not bothered to check the area with her mind, she knew Amira had and besides they had checked the place where they now were out early that day, they did these kinds of checks daily and they roamed further than where they were now. ”I’m going for a walk, want to come, Neph?” She had turned and looked at the white dragon and rider. ”Let these two dragons get to know each other once more, it has been a while since they last saw each other, same as us. I haven’t seen you for some time.” She gave him a winning smile.
