The giant mountains towered over Tashner while he secured the stables. What was awesome was the fact that the outpost looked like an old city that had crumbled to dust. Now that Tashner was able to succeed, he always kept the stores full and the armory ready. Tashner grabbed his three bags of diamonds. While the diamonds were small, they were still valuable.

"So this is it?" Joeseph said, turning to Tashner. They had run quite far, all the way from the city. "Want to see how to make the blades and other equipment for it? Or maybe tomorrow." Joeseph said, feeling winded, but energetic.((Sorry about the short post, School, marching band, and other real life CRAP is interfering with my online life ))

((It's alright, my life is chaotic as well. Just needed to have a post so that I could repost.))
Tashner walked up the incline while he took a few deep breaths. It wasn't that big of a deal but he was still winded from the run up the hills and rocky paths. As he continued up the rocky cliff path that used to be a road, not that anyone would know that, Tashner saw a few tracks that moved over to the edge of the craggy overhang. That was where they ended there, and there weren't any scuffles to show a retreat along the same route and Tashner had no knowledge of another path away from the outpost, unless you went through the underground path that wound under the grounds.
Tashner stopped and alerted his companion. We aren't alone, Joseph, at least not in the same area. Tashner looked around and tried to find their intruder. It was rather epic because of the fact that someone had found the outpost with no knowledge of the location.
((I haven't decided what to do with the intruder...))

Hang on a minute! I'll look from a vantage point Joeseph said, jumping to the top of the outpost's roof with a practiced nimbleness. I think I see someone running. He is on the other side of the outpost. I'll be back! Joeseph said, jumping from tree to tree, catching up to the intruder with every leap.

Shaymen looked over his shoulder as he jumped down from the ridge. The other assassin was gaining on him yet he wasn't sure he should take the swords out and attack. This other assassin seemed too powerful and he didn't know what else there was. Shaymen ran through the many rocky hallways, hoping there would be an opening to escape through. Yet he finally hit a dead end and was forced to turn and be prepared to attack. Shaymen drew his swords but kept them down so that he could possibly live through the encounter.
Tashner smirked as he realized that Joseph was already closing on the intruder. It was time for him to find out who was trespassing on his land. Tashner grabbed his battle axe and slowly advanced upon the trapped intruder while he watched Joseph get closer. I wouldn't attack if you want to live any longer than you've already lived.

How did you find this place? Joeseph asked, wondering. This place was hidden by so many woods, that he wondered how anyone could find this place. Answer. You haven't seen the effects of my poison, or even seen my weapon... Yet. Joeseph said, getting ready to slide the blade out from its "sheath"((couldn't think of a better word for where it is when it is stored.)) I have the antidote, so I could stab you, let you almost die, then save you, over, and over, and over until you decide to talk. Your choice.

Shaymen felt the fear that most of his targets had felt before he killed them. Now he knew how it felt to be the prey when a greater predator was nearby. The assassin still held on to his small piece of defiance and stood taller and then spoke with the sharp edge of sarcasm and aggression. I am not going to just give up information that could be used to harm the group I have come in search of. If you want to attack me then I will fight with a vigor that is held in esteem for true warriors. There is no hope for the Empire or Varden so if you are a part of those groups then fight like a man
((Have to make it interesting))

Be it as you will. If a fight is what you want for information, a fight is what you will get, Joeseph said, pulling a vial out of one of the hidden pouches around his waist. This was the sleeping medicine used at the time. He loaded his blades with the medicine, and extended the blade. So, you still want to fight, or is there some information that you want to tell us about. And what group have you come in search of? I will not use the information to harm anyone, but if it is someone that works around these parts, we shall know of them. Joeseph got ready to use his blades. These were the weapons he had trained with for all his life. He could, and would beat this other assassin, unbeknownst to Joeseph.

Shaymen prepared for a fight with this arrogant fool. He couldn't possibly comprehend the true weight of a group of assassins who could take out the very infrastructure that held up the Varden and the Empire. The other person couldn't possibly know that he was well out of his league in the fight that was about to happen. It wasn't a very well known fact that there were greater enemies to the others than each other. So instead of heeding warning to the other man's threats, Shaymen raised his blades to the ready and spoke. There will always be mystery in the actions of the universe. People will die before their time and empires will fall to their knees before fighters such as I am. It is the way of the Assassin to destroy all who are against him. You are in my way to find others like me and I still have to go to Surda to find another person who is like me. I will not stand down and allow you to take any vital information that can harm me or my bretheren. Shaymen stepped forward enough so that he could fight with a better chance of survival.
Tashner grinned and stepped over to Joseph. With a small brush against his companion's arm. Hopefully Joseph would understand. Tashner moved forward so that he could intercept any attacks that came from the self-proclaimed assassin. It was folly for him to give away knowledge of being an assassin to two complete strangers who are armed. Obviously the cornered male had no idea that he couldn't win the fight he was entering into blindly. Tashner had no doubt that the intruder could fight with those blades, yet he also believed that two companions fighting one cornered intruder would end with the intruder dying. So Tashner put his battle axe away and stepped forward. You seek someone who is powerful enough to destroy a structure as large as the Empire as well as their rival structure the Varden? Plus you plan on seeking out another person who lives in the Varden's borders. Why do you look for trouble and give away your identity to people who you have no idea who are? You could quite possibly die in the attempt to protect your beliefs and faith. Just stand down and I will not be forced to have a lethal toxin shot into your veins from every direction at once. You stand on my land, behind my house, and you think I don't have protective wards prepared for a time like this? Tashner provided no information that would incriminate himself or Joseph while also leading the assassin to believe that he would stand no chance in this fight.

The assassin's are who you are looking for? Nice to know. You may find out more about them soon enough. Joeseph said, keeping the fact that he and Tashner were assassin's themself. Come with us, and we can show you to the leaders. They are closer than you may think. Joeseph said, still keeping his blades drawn, just in case this led to a fight. Joeseph knew, and from the brush on his arm, so did Tashner, that this "assassin" was merely an apprentice, or untrained. He knew nothing about the way of the Assassins. He would probably die, having just given information to the Varden or Empire about the whereabouts of the outpost.

Shaymen was unsure of what the whole change of attitude was about but his instincts told him that he wasn't safe in the company of these two. If the wards were in fact there, then he wasn't safe here either. So Shaymen took a chance. How do I know that you aren't trying to trick me and kill me when I get close enough? Your weapons aren't long enough to hit me from here so I think I'm safe here. Shaymen raised his swords but kept them at a level that wasn't threatening. He was on his guard but he wasn't insane.
Tashner smirked and spoke again. Trust is earned and you have no trust with us, yet I see no reason to lie. I am Tashner, the assassin of the Beor Mountains. If you try to escape and give the information out then you will die slowly and painfully.

And I am the assassin of Feinstier, and what Tashner said, is the same thing I would have said. I don't want to fight, but if needed, we will Joeseph said, retracting his blade, and taking off his gauntlet, putting it on the hook on his cloak, still concealing the knifes and daggers that he could pull off if this so called assassin decided to fight.

The tension flooded out of Shaymen as he heard the words come out of the two assassins. By the way that Tashner and the second assassin were standing it was obvious that they were trained assassins and that they did not think of Shaymen as a threat. It was probably true that he wasn't a real threat to them but he was still proficient in the ways of silent killing. So the cornered assassin sheathed his twin swords and walked over to the other two that were guarding him. Since he was without weapons, Shaymen was convinced that they were not going to injure him. Alright, I am Shaymen Khan, assassin of the Northern fringe of Du Weldenvarden. it was my informant that told me there were other assassins down this far. Apparently several dwarves and humans had been mysteriously slaughtered in the Beor Mountains and Surda, so I ventured down here to search for any assassins that have outposts here.
Tashner held his hand near enough to his hidden belt to allow a quick draw of a dagger or other blade. He still didn't fully trust this assassin who had appeared on his land while he was away. Yet the assassin was unarmed as far as he could tell. So, Tashner just allowed him to talk. Finally he spoke. Is this informant dead or can he still lead others to the outposts that you have mentioned? For if he is alive and out there then we have problems and you are not good at tying up loose ends that can harm others like you. Tashner kept his mind loose enough so that he could think and still concentrate on other topics. His shoulders and muscles were still tensed enough for a random attack from nearby. For this assassin, Shaymen, had said that he was too far away for a good attack. Now he was within perfect range of a dagger to the throat or the heart.

I am sorry, I never told you my name. I am Joeseph. So, Shaymen, why have you come south to look for us? Was it training you seek, or just help destroying the varden and empire? Training would help with taking down the varden, so, want to train with us? Joeseph said, looking at Shaymen. This assassin knew nothing of the order he was in... yet. (( ominous foreshadowing!))

((New reason for training -_-))
Shaymen looked at Joseph and then at Tashner before he responded to their questions. It wasn't that he was unsure of himself, more that he was in over his head. As a matter of fact, these two assassins had just trapped him in a dead end corridor of stone. So Shaymen looked at his hands and then at the blades that were just visible from his back. I am here mostly for help and to learn who all is in the world that oppose the Empire and the Varden. Yet I could use some training as well. It appears that you two are experienced so if you will train me then I would be greatful. Shaymen then stood there and awaited a response.
Tashner grinned when he heard the new assassin say everything that he had just relayed to them. It took true courage to tell others that you need help in that area of fighting. Tashner was sure that Shaymen had assassinated others but he was too sloppy in his work. He had allowed someone to find him when he was scouting the outpost, and he let a wildcard exist in the land. Yet Tashner was prepared to let him train with them. The assassin turned to his companion. What do you think, Joseph?

I think we should. And on his return trip, he can help me get north to some of the other outposts, and maybe help me convince them to join with us. Joseph said, looking at his companion, then at Shaymen. Are you ready to become an assassin Shaymen? Or do you lack the necessary courage to ask for help. If not, you will be trained to excellence. Joeseph said, turning back to Tashner. You also need to be trained in some things, such as how to make the assassin blades I use, and the poison, and the cloak. The cloak will define US as assassins! Joeseph said, with all of his pride in uniting at least 3 of the assassins under a single assassins flag.

Tashner nodded in approval and said in reply. That will help us because then there will still be an assassin down here and we can still keep an eye on anything that happens while you are in the North. Then the assassin turned to Shaymen and nodded for him to continue with whatever he was going to decide to do. Just know that if you do decide to stay as a rogue assassin, we do hold the right to kill you if we feel that you are a spy. Tashner put one hand on his hip where there was a dagger. His cloak was covering the other weapons and he had the one dagger in view so that Shaymen knew that there was a weapon there at the ready.
--------------------
Shaymen listened to his companions and then thought about what they were saying. When Joseph spoke of heading back toward the northern part of Alagaesia, Shaymen grinned. There were many outposts that way. He even knew of one that was near Uru'baen. So the fact that he wanted to go there was good. I agree to have the cloak and training. I do not lack what it takes to learn how to become a better assassin and if there is a union of the assassins then it will make it harder for the others to survive if we attack.

Good. Time to train then. First, here are some gifts. Joeseph said, reaching into his cloak and pulling out two bundles, and tossed one to each assassin. Here are your cloaks and the blades I wear. Joeseph said, while putting his own blades on. One for each wrist, there is a ring that goes around your middle finger, pull the ring the blade extends. Joeseph said, demonstrating. I will have to show both of you how to make these, or at least find a trustworthy contact for you to get them from. Now, lets go inside. I want to see what both of you can do on the way back. Follow me, and if you can't, find another way around. Joeseph said, climbing up a tree, and waiting on a branch for Shaymen and Tashner. I will wait until you get up here. If you can't, tell me so I can head on with you following on the ground.

Tashner nodded and caught the package at the peak of the toss. Quickly assembling the blades and putting them on, he ran over to the rock wall next to the tree and jumped onto the wall and rebounded so that he hit the tree branch next to the roof. Then Tashner climbed onto the roof and waited for the other assassin to climb up to them.
Shaymen noticed that the two assassins that he had become friends with were now showing him that they were ready to train. So Shaymen grabbed the bundle and put the cloak on over his shoulders. The blades he stashed in the cloak so that he still had room to move. His swords he moved so that they were accessible to him in case they were needed. Shaymen took off and jumped into the tree, ready to join the two in their training.

Ready Shaymen? I will be going quite fast. Joeseph said, running between the branches of the trees, stoping about 30 trees ahead of the two other assassins to follow him. He needed to know their proficiency in the assassin arts. You coming? He called back, jokingly. They would come, although how fast, noone could know.
