That would be an interesting ending, wouldn't it? My kind of happy end! . . . just with a bit more action.

I don't think that Eragon will end up with anybody, just because it was that way in Star Wars. Plus I can't see Arya and him hitting it off in the end.

I can't remember where I read this, but I think that the last chapter of the book includes Eragon and Arya setting sail to the east/west to where the Elves/Humans came from, with only one dragon flying above head, which means it's pretty obvious that Saphira hadn't found a mate yet, or they just had a very quick breeding session... >.<''...

And Murtagh was left behind, while the undeserving get a happy ending. *hiss*

I dunno, I HOPE that she finds a mate, but if she didn't it woudl kinda be like the thing in LOTR where the hobbits get taller and that's why there aren't any more hobbits. Meaning that if she doesn't find a mate it would explain (if that world was like the ancient past of this world) why there aren't any dragons today LOL...just watch 'em pull that trick haha

Hmm . . . there is something odd, though. With only four dragons left, even if Saphira mated with all the males there would be inbreeding. And since CP seems dead set on making her mate only with her 'One True Love', it looks like the gene pool is going to be very limited.
