The lie known is known as tenderness, and truths that don't want to be heard. Either one will cause pain, but they're things that should be protected.
Silence enveloped the ruins of Yazuac while wind teased at the dirt blowing it in small wisps. A long figure stood on what was once the main road. He seemed young and was unarmed. He wore purple-ish and white robes. He crouched and inspected some grass growing in the cracks between the foundation stones of a building. The grass withered at his touch.
At a quick glance he appeared to be an elf, but closer inspection would reveal his ears not pointed enough to be elven but not round enough to be human. He was a half elf and the only son of Galbatorix. Few knew this fact and Rerukusu found little need to inform anyone of it.
Rerukusu smiled and stood up once more. Then he reached out his mind finding anything that was alive and took all their energy, killing them in the process. The only one he excluded from this was his black stallion that was tied to a rotting tree near by. He pulled out a gold necklace that was tucked into his shirt. A pendent with a single purple gem hung from it and he channeled all the energy he had taken into it. "One day we'll be together again Avendel. One day,"he said talking to the gem.

((Uhm...evil much? Lol))
We are in here for intelligence only, so stay in the clouds, Istven. Many puffs of dirt rose into the air as a blur of color flashed across the fields that were just outside of Yazuac. It was a rather chilly night but the elf that ran forward had tied her platinum colored locks back in a leather band to keep the hair out of her face and she was really excited. Word had reached her of someone who might know of her deceased father, Vrael, and how it could be avenged. Yet she was ready to kill all her opponents if it meant that she could escape to save her own lives. We are not going to obliterate all living things again, are we? Istven was a glittering dragon at most views but she had made sure to hide her scales to keep Kelocias safer.
As Kelocias was nearing the destroyed town, she went to reply and then saw all of the grass and living things die in front of her. Dust billowed into a cloud around the elf as she slid to a stop and drew the twin rider blades. Sundavar and Garjzla gleamed in their respected colors while the elder rider cast her protective charms to keep her safe from physical and arcane attacks directed at her. Then the elf slipped into the town and crept through the shadows, making sure to raise her darkened hood to try and mask the brightness of her hair so as to keep her safer. The female elf hadn't been able to save Fevner back in the war but she remembered how the younger woman had looked as she soaked up the stealth and how she had looked when she went to war. Kelocias kept the blades of Garjzla and Sundavar down so that they didn't cut anyone who could possibly be an ally.
It was a few moments before Kelocias saw the lone figure that resonated an evil feel around him. That was all she needed to know before deciding she would kill the bastard since he was too strong to be killing innocent nature. Then Kelocias saw the gem and she realized that the figure wasn't just some magician who had decided to kill off plants. No, this was one who was going to bring about some terror for the Empire. Even more reason to destroy him now, before he destroys us. Just be careful Kelocias, for even Islingr can lose her light. Kelocias heard Istven and nodded grimly. The female elf felt her silver armor under the dark fabric of her cloak and she realized that her light that she held within was greater than any shadows cast by the Empire. The very scum King had been so weak he had taken many years corrupting that which was meant to be free. Kelocias walked out of the shadows with her back straight and she threw the hood back from her face as she raised her voice. Empire scum shouldn't be destroying that which is already destroyed. Or is that all you can do, is defeat those who are too weak to survive? Kelocias had been a fear driven rider before but the Silver Rider wasn't going to run in fear today.
Kelocias stared at the figure while trying to determine who he was. She felt like she knew the posture and frame, as if it were of great importance. Yet all that entered her mind was Formora while she stood straight and Galbatorix with his bloodied blade that had been Vrael's Islingr. Now she was Islingr and the land really needed light if there was still darkness like this very figure. Kelocias raised Sundavar and Garjzla just enough to make it clear she wasn't going to be peaceful if a fight broke out.

[ lol. ] Rerukusu didn't turn to face her when she spoke though an amused smiled appeared on his features. He was aware of her dragon for it was hard to hide a mind. "Empire Scum? Hah another name for those you dislike,"he scoffed. He hated being discriminated against. Those who judged before listening to their heart."Don't you think it ill mannered to address me like that? Classifying me into a stereo type when you don't know who I am."
He tucked the necklace into his shirt before he turned around to see who had spoken. It wasn't often he found people here, generally he killed them and took their energy if they were here. But a Dragon he did not want to see dead. No he wanted to capture them, their riders he didn't care what happened to them. But he wasn't reckless and wouldn't try that unless it was to his advantage. "Since when did Riders attack unarmed folk,"he added seeing Kelocias' blades drawn. Rerukusu did not have any weapons on him, at least visibly. He of course had magic at his command should he choose to use it. After all he was half-elf and a Rider who had lost his dragon.

KELOCIAS Kelocias felt her pale green eyes narrow at the retort from the Empire soldier and she rose the two blades for a few seconds. Do these two blades scare you, vermin? The elf woman was feeling rather stressed and angered that someone would be so blatant about riders. Then it struck her. Noone knew about riders that wasn't either a rider or one who'd lost their dragon. Using that information, Kelocias formed a strategic plan. The elf knew about the towers that had fallen but were still rather strong, as well as the very center building that was behind the Empire rider. She took all of that and then called Istven down from the clouds. While waiting, Kelocias spoke again. I am called Islingr, as well as Silver Rider, and there is a reason for that. Now tell me, why do you have the same broad shoulders and jawset as the King and the facial features of Formora? Kelocias waited.

Rerukusu didn't even so much as flinch when Kelocias raised her blades for a moment. He ignored her words when she referred to him as vermin. He did not fear her blades but being called vermin angered him. He didn't show it though but seethed inwardly. Kelocias was like everyone else and was only another reason reinforcing what he was trying to do.
He did not recognize her name when she introduced herself. But he quickly caught on that she had used a word of the ancient language to describe herself. Where was her dragon then? He didn't dare open his mind to search for her dragon's whereabouts. "You knew Formora and Galbatorix then?" he said sounding a bit surprised. Few people commented or could see the resemblance. Especially of Formora as she was dead and forgotten by most. "You are one of few to notice that yet you insult me moments before," he said resentfully. "I am Rerukusu Erisn Galbatorixsson, prince of night. My mother was Formora and my father Galbatorix."

Kelocias felt anger boil within her as she rose from a slight crouch that she had entered only moments before. The figure before her was the son of Galbatorix and called himself the prince of night. I knew them both and most certainly hated them as well. You are the spawn of traitorous murderers and you claim it. Maybe you have heard of my father and mother. I am Kelocias, daughter of Vrael and Andume. Ebrithil of Fevner, and Elder of the Riders. Kelocias felt her face begin to burn as she felt anger increase. I am here Kelocias Istven landed behind Rerukusu and snapped her jaws in annoyance at being called down.

Nandon watched from above. He had been ordered here by the shade who had captured him so long ago and broke his mind...He felt a husk of his former self since he had helped Aysten escape dras Leona with his former friend now enemy Breton.... He had been ordered to get the kings child back to the shade who had now gone rogue...But nandon suddenly had second thoughts...What if he could escape....The shade was far away...He had been to careless to place wards on nandon and those he had nandon had already unworked around the campfire each night while the shade slept. Maybe he could get away.... nandon thought until a pain filled his head and a malicious voice stated "No" nandon growled and tried to push the shade from his mind but the shade muttered the words that made him stop completely... His true name. With thart Nandon sighed...It was now or never...

Rerukusu clenched his hands into fists when Kelocias spoke of him as being the spawn of traitorous murderers and claiming it. This was why he was so bitter, this was why he was trying to change how things were. He had heard of Kelocias' parents, and being on the other side of the coin he had heard very little good of the riders. He'd grown up with the forsworn. He let his anger kindle and releasing some magic a purple flame appeared in his right hand flickering but not burning him, yet he made no move to attack. He jumped and quickly spun around to see the dragon behind him. He backed away from her not wanting to be in range of her jaws or claws. He did his best to keep an eye on both of them before responding to the rider. "It seems you think my crime is simply having been born," he snapped. He didn't choose who his parents were yet he was judged for something he could not change or control.

BRENTON
Brenton felt the wind whip through his hair, which had lengthened and grown thicker, as the horse shot across the fields at the speed of an arrow. He was not sure why the speed was needed but the elf knew that he needed to reach Yazuac, as if he knew that a friend was there. Brenton also wanted to see what the town was like after his half brother had destroyed it with fire.
As the horse galloped under the final gates outside Yazuac, he slowed down. Brenton jumped down and looked up just in time to see a vague figure of Nandon, his old friend. The elf cast his mind out slowly and allowed the former elf friend to know he was near him. Then Brenton immediately withdrew to his own defenses. He may have been friends with Nandon but the memory had told him that the rider had been turned into a mind slave at the time of saving Aysten.
That was when the elven Prince saw the two others in the center of Yazuac as well as a dragon of immense proportions. Brenton stepped over to the shadows and crouched down while his stallion sauntered out of the desolate town in fear. The rider didn't care, for he knew that there was no reason to care. But Brenton recognized the female from the city of Ellesmera. She was constantly running around and talking to people.
Brenton stared on as the male gathered a purple flame and then jumped to a position to see both the female, Kelocias, and the dragon, Istven. He was certain that the man in the town was not a friend and was nervous as well.
KELOCIAS
Kelocias glared at Rerukusu and saw him make a purple flame appear. That was when Kelocias knew she needed to be ready for an attack and so she made a flickering gray and red flame appear in her hand and she fueled it so that it became a dart of pure heat and burning elements. Think this through, for I can take this flame and send it through your heart. I never once said your crime was being born. No, you are a criminal figure because you don't try to fight the shadows that your father has created. You are just like him! An exact mirror image of the tyrant king, a prince and it appears you are proud of it. Kelocias felt the anger boil in her veins and she had a very obvious hatred in her voice when she uttered the word 'prince'.

Rerukusu raised his hand defensively but did not extinguish the flame in his hand when Kelocias readied herself to attack. "No but you judge me for who my parents are. I am not them," he said. It seemed like he was always judged by who his parents were rather than who he was as an individual. "I am NOT like my father!" he snapped. If anything he didn't agree with what his father was trying to do. He only went along with it because he needed the resources Galbatorix had. "I don't want to fight you. I don't want to see any more dragons or riders hurt," he said his voice tense. "I'm not here on my father's orders. I'm here because I'm trying to save MY dragon!"

Nandon shivered as he felt the foriegn yet familiar mind touch his and he winced as he just managed to keep it away from the shades knowledge. He looked down at his hands which where now sweaty and seemed almost grayer to him. He knew he couldnt contact Breton directly no matter how hard he wanted. nandon suposed now was the time to reveal his special secret...While the shade had been constantly in nandons mind he had learned the shades own true name rather quickly...But he hadnt let onto the fact that he knew so it would be his own secret weapon against the shade....But if he uttered it himself it would do nothing but tell the shade he knew....But if breton could invade his mind...then use the true name of the shade.... theoritecally it should remove the shade. So gathering all his strength Nandon shouted. "BRETON! INVADE MY MIND AND SAY THIS! DRAUMR HJARTA BAEN!"

BRENTON
Brenton was just beginning to feel he was safe and that noone besides Nandon knew he was there when the elf heard his friend shout to him. So Brenton did as he was asked. His strength was at physical peak and that meant that he could be strong in attacks. So, the prince sent a tendril of force into Nandon's mind and met with resistance. Just as he was about to enter, another entity came in. It was a foreign and evil mind and Brenton knew why he was there. Brenton gathered his will and then spoke mentally. Draumr Hjarta Baen! As soon as the words were out, the mind quivered and withdrew a little, only to attack again. Brenton kept his defenses up and then spoke again. Draumr Hjarta Baen! Be gone and leave my kind alone. Brenton stayed in the mind and raised defenses to keep himself safe.
KELOCIAS
Kelocias listened to what Rerukusu said and then thought for a minute. She had heard that Rerukusu was trying to save his dragon but she didn't know what to think about it. As she opened her mouth to respond, a voice shouted out a name and then stopped immediately. Kelocias cast her mind out and found the person who had called out as well as the one who had been called out to. She was uncertain but she felt as if the two were allies and elves as well. Kelocias kept her flame lit and felt that the magic was actually draining her energy but only that of a small drip of water onto a rock wall. It would carve through but not in the immediate future. You say you are not like your parents and that you are trying to save your dragon. Then why do you go along with what your father does and not go to find help with the Varden or someone else like them?

Rerukusu allowed himself a quick glanced up to see Nandon. He didn't know what was going on but Kelocias and her dragon presented more of a danger to him. The purple flame on Rerukusu's hand flickered and died. The drain of energy hadn't been too much but he wanted to reserve his energy. For if he used it all up he'd have to restore to using the energy he'd stored in a purple crystal that held Avendel's soul. Without the energy he didn't know if she'd survive and stay sane.
"Because without my father my dragon will die," he said a hint of desperateness creeping into his voice. He couldn't let Avendel die, and the majority of the energy sustaining her soul came from Galbatorix. He had come out here to try and find a way to supplement that. If he could he wouldn't need to rely on his father so much. But the energy he'd gained by killing off vegetation and the few rodents in this town was far from enough. "I can't ask the Varden or anyone else for help. Do you really think they would trust me? I am the son of Galbatorix. They'd treat me worse than they did Murtagh when he was with the Varden." Besides that he doubted the Varden had the means to help him. Galbatorix on the other had did have the means.

KELOCIAS
The female elf rider looked at Rerukusu with a new light in her eyes. He seemed to be someone different from his parents but not as different as possible. Maybe he wasn't fully evil but she still believed he had some belief in what Galbatorix did. Still, she had to try something. If you are in need of Galbatorix's resources but don't agree with what he does then why do you not try to change that. The Varden could always use a spy in the Empire. One who is high enough in the chain to not be suspected and since Murtagh is currently bound in oath then we can't use him. Why don't you aid us in that respect? It would keep you in a position to aid your dragon as well as give you a chance to change the fate of all dragons and riders who don't trust the king. The elf woman allowed the fire to disappear with nothing but a brief swish of air that was about to be consumed. Now her energy would regain a bit and she would still have a lot of energy for a fight.

Rerukusu saw the fire in her hand disappear but remained alert. Just because there was no visible threat didn't mean she couldn't suddenly attack him. As she spoke an amused smile crossed his face as though a child were trying to tell him something that could not be done. "How do you know I am not bound in oath the same as Murtagh?" he asked. Truth was she was actually right, he was not bound by oath nor did his father know his true name. But he had never said anything hinting at the truth to Kelocias, and he'd rather keep her guessing.
"If I spied for the Varden and got caught then what would become of my dragon? I cannot risk my dragon for a cause I do not support nor particularly care about," he said. He had no love nor hate for the Varden. If they would benefit him perhaps he'd use them but at the moment they couldn't offer what Galbatorix could. Besides he had his own plan to change the fate of dragons, riders and everyone an age of lifeless beings.

Merzina climbed the stars and opened the small door to the roof, her dark brown eyes shone as she sighed softly. “Sir Rerukusu?” She asked, moving towards him with a goblet of wine. “Your drink.” Her eyes widened as she noticed the others, and she started biting her lip furiously.
She moved to step back, her heart pounding within her chest. She hadn’t seen anyone, apart from the King’s riders. She held the goblet firmly, recovering as she held it out for him to take. The curiosity in her eyes shine brightly, as she questioned it carefully within her mind.

Rerukusu was surprised when Merzina came. He turned expecting an enemy but found only the servant girl. The threat still remained the rider and her dragon, hence he turned his attention to her waiting for a reply.
He held up his hand to Merzina palm towards her, indicating he didn't want the drink. "Not right now Merzina," he said. He didn't want to take the cup in case the other rider attacked him. What he had said about the Empire was true, only Galbatorix had the resources he needed, and well staying where he was had certain perks. He doubted the Varden would wait on him like Merzina did and the other servants.

((Sorry, my muse left me for this thread. Anyhow...here we are again))
Kelocias looked toward the servant girl and saw the extreme look of hatred that crossed her face. Even in the look of anger that she saw, Kelocias could see that not even this servant girl knew who Kelocias really was. Every damn Empire person thought of the Varden, especially the elven riders of the Varden, as scum who deserved to die. Well, Kelocias would put that poor girl out of her misery, right after the fool of a rider in front of her. Are you ready, Istven? Kelocias spoke in the elven tongue in the confines of her mind. Islingr, I will always be ready. Slay that foolish son of a tyrant. You gave him a chance and he turned you down.
Kelocias drew her swords Sundavar and Garjzla before even she knew what was happening, much less anyone else. Then she stepped forward a half step and ran forward the other four to gain on her opponent. She was at striking distance and swung both blades in perfect unison in an 'X' formation.
