Since this is an Eragon forum, I'm sure we all have our theories and this forum was getting a tad stale. Either that or I just sort of...wasn't entirely aware it existed...*coughs* Anyway. Book 3 is coming out sometime...next year? Is rumored to be called Empire or Bubbles for Buckfish or something like that. Will Arya and Eragon get married or w/e? What do you think of the rock of Kuthian? The weapon under the Menoa tree? We had a discussion on this on another forum. ^^ Quite fun. The theory came up that: The weapon could be another riders' sword. Maybe Brom's or the first Eragon's. And Eragon may be the one to find it because of his name or some other reason. There will be another rider. And I think we have a poll for this somewhere... Nevermind, we didn't. We did have a topic though...*gasps and smacks self for repeating topics* But yeah. Theories! I don't know about any of that...what I really wonder about is what will happen to Orik.

Well we know that under the current dragon contract Orik can't be a rider but me and my friend Courtney came up with a few theories.
1. When Angela does the reading and it says Eragon will leave forever we think it means he and Saphira leave if the Varden loses to escape Galbitorix rule.
2. We think that there are obviously more dragons that could be hiding because of the fact that Oromis hid Glaedr for so long. We think that there are dragons hiding in the Spine and Hadrac Desert plus the Beor Mountians...It would be the perfect place. The dragons would know their territory and so know how to avoid all the soldiers...
3. We think that if they find the dragons a new contract will be made and so a new Alasgasia will be formed under control of the people instead of a king.
4. The vault of souls contains dragon eggs
5. The weapon under the menoa tree is the first Eragons sword
6. Murtagh will die because he fights the ancient language
7. Arya and Eragon will NOT fall in love
8. Shurikin was meant to be Saphira's mate but because of the forced bond between him and Galbitorix he was consumed by hatred toward Galbitorix for taking him away from his rider that he went insane and turned black. So if the forced bond between him and Galbitorix was to be broken, he would return to normal.
9. Oromis and Glaedr both die fighting either Murtagh or Galbitorix. (thats a Given.)
10. That Orik would end up for some reason as the 5th known rider...or Arya.
Tell me what you think cause we really want to know...

I like number 2. ot is possible that that is why The Empire keeps losing soldiers in the Spine. But then again, they might be seen flying and there would be rumours. Maybe in the Beors, but The Dwarves muight have sptted them. perhaps Durgrimst Quan.

An interesting set of theories there, but uh, Eragon is already in love. He has been in love with Arya since their journey to Ellesmera, and she has a thing for him but resists for several reasons, none of which are because she does not love him. Second, I doubt Oromis and Glaedr will ever see any action. Thirdly, Orik won't become a rider, the old ways are written. Next, I have no idea how you came up with the Shuriken theory, but it sounds ludicrous to me, plus, I thought he was just born a black dragon. As for my own theories, I think Arya may die. I think that the resistance will capture the third Egg, (somehow,) and as follows the hero cycle, the mentor, Oromis, will die, along with his dragon. Brom was the first mentor, and he died, chances are Oromis's illness will get to him. |

Argh. I hope Oromis doesn't die, since disturbing as the bathing scene is I kind of like pathetic and physically vulnerable. And silver hair. *coughs* It would be nice, for once, if the mentor doesn't die, or at least not get killed in battle. Teachers of heroes should be allowed to enjoy their life and possibly teach some more, or at least enjoy a quiet retirement free of obnoxious heroes or hero wannabes.
Though if it's put that way, death may be better. Peace, quiet, and not many heroes that still want to do some hero-ing.

Theories:
I think that the weapon under the menoa tree is broms sword. And its not under the tree. Lets be real the elf's would have found it. Roots would be meaning to the "Roots" of the menoa tree, that is the elf that sung herself into it, and the two families that are related to her. He will have to talk to both of the families of old and get broms sword (although it could be the first eragons sword) and the other family that has a riders sword will be for arya, and it will be green.
The reason murtagh and galbatorix are so strong is either because the souls that are kept in the vault of souls, they would get energy from the souls so that would make them stronger. Or they have found some way to use the energy of the sun to there advantage. Which would also lend them considerable power.
The rock of kuthian is helgrind where the razac are and where the fault of souls is. I do not believe there are any more dragons in the land. I do however believe that dragons do exist in the other lands of the realm. And eragon will go off to find them.
I'm not sure if Murtagh will die, i hope not but it is a surreal possibility so i don't know. I do not think oromis will die by the hands of Murtagh or Galbatorix i think that maybe he will die peacefully. Or Heres another theory, Ok the part of the third book they give us shows eragon getting captured by the razaac, so maybe Oromis tries to come to his aid and ends up getting killed by the razaac or something like brom did. It will be an interesting book i cant wait to read it.
