Enduriel is a child of one of the Forsworn but he never really believes that his father was in the wrong. In his mind, Galbatorix caused hatred to spread through the original Enduriel and therefore caused him to become a Forsworn rider. Enduriel has had many chances to see if he is a rider but the elf doesn't want that power and so he just avoids eggs that could potentially hatch for him. The elf is a strong warrior but has no remorse after killing. He was in the war that happened after the downfall of the riders yet he couldn't kill his father when the time came, so he killed the dragon that his father rode and then jumped upon a horse and rode the steed for Ellesmera. Because of that experience, Enduriel believes he should be an outcast yet he still fights for his country.
Likes: Freedom, fighting, sparring, running, open country, peace
Dislikes: Empire, slavery, constant hatred
Strengths: Sword fighting, Archery, Running, Melee with hands and feet
Weakness: Knives, Magic defenses, Anyone who is a spy, Trusting someone who is actually out to kill him
Family: Enduriel - Father (Forsworn Elf) : Queen Dellanir (Forsaken Queen of the Elves and believed mother of King Evander)
History: (a couple of paragraphs at least - more for elves/dragon riders etc)
Enduriel was born in a small house just within the city walls of Ilirea, before the riders were destroyed by the Forsworn. He was a rather rambunctious newborn and immediately showed strength and an iron will. Yet there was not much to say about his first two years since he was born in a time that was still peaceful.
When Enduriel was three years old, the first seeds of hatred were sown as Galbatorix lost his first dragon to the Urgal warriors. This was a deep pain to all but the young elf had no clue that it would soon involve him, for it was still a time of peace. Yet as he grew to 10 years of age, his father had been smart enough to train his son in the arts of war and had sent his young son to the city of Ellesmera to learn from his relatives in the trees. So, the preteen elf started to train and was soon showing great promise in his fighting and magic. It was so good that when Enduriel was 16 years of age, he enlisted in the Elven Army that was massing after hearing that Galbatorix was starting to gather followers. It was around Enduriel's 20th birthday that he was sent to Ilirea where he was told that his father had tried to kill multiple riders. So Enduriel rode day and night to the city of the riders and found that the city was indeed burning.
Enduriel was soon filled with sorrow as he spent his two years in that war trying to find his father but that was nothing compared to his 23rd birthday when Enduriel rode upon the city of Teirm and found the very person he seeked. Enduriel was just beginning to believe that he was going to be without luck when he was given the order to take siege upon the city that was the main port to Alagaesia. When he led his troops to the gates and they broke through the wood and steel, the young elf found his father waiting on the other side. It was a bloody battle as his men took out many soldiers and a couple smaller riders that were just beginning to join the Forsworn yet had not sworn fealty to the traitor Galbatorix.
Enduriel battled his father and the dragon to his very strength's end and then saw that he would not be able to kill his sire. So the young elf took out the dragon and then jumped onto a fallen soldier's steed and rode toward the elven territory in flight from his father who was enraged and swore to kill his son. That was when Enduriel went into hiding.
The elf was offered a crown in his brother's court but he turned it down and instead took the role of Lord and realized that he was now a battle veteran and that he could take up arms again. Yet Enduriel spent 100 years deciding to train and learn more. He was never really assaulted but his conscious always ate at him for abandoning his men to the onslaught that was Ilirea's fall. So the elven Lord took his time to train and was 150 years old when his brother and sister-in-law beseeched him to tell them the weaknesses of their greatest foe.
Enduriel came out of hiding and started to aid the Varden and was the one that told Jeod about the secret entrance into Ilirea that soon led to Saphira being found. Yet when Morzan followed them, Enduriel fled again and swore to himself that he would be the one to take out the king who had taken his father's mind and betrayed his own country and order. So, Enduriel started to look for a new rider and watched and waited.
When Eragon was able to hatch Saphira, Enduriel was 200 years old and he started to anticipate helping train, yet he knew that Brom and Oromis would train the rider first. So, Enduriel stayed in the background and when the war started and the elves massed to go to war. Enduriel took up the mantle of Commander and led four battalions of soldiers to the gates of Dras Leona and then to Gilead and finally started toward Bellatona to aid the Varden.
