Eregion, having left Aberon, three days ago, felt like the time was right for him to finally stop to resupply. He was about five miles from Lithgow, and decided to rest before continuing on to Lithgow for supplies. He stopped his war horse, which he named Belecthor, after his brother and got out of the saddle.
He spotted a cluster of yew trees, a few yards away, and decided to rest there for awhile. He tied Belecthor to the nearest tree and unsheathing his sword, and laying it on the ground, he layed down and fell asleep. Almost as soon as he fell asleep, he was being jabbed with a stiff boot.
Eregion, with quick speed, grabbed the leg and flipped the man attached to it to the ground. Eregion picked up his sword, and kneeling on the man's chest, held the sword to his throat. The man groaned something "Who are you?" demanded Eregion. The man whispered "I am Cadoc, former commander of the Empire, now of the Surdan military."
Eregion, got off of Cadoc's chest, but kept his sword at his throat, and Cadoc made no attempt to get up unless Eregion would allow him too. Eregion, stared at Cadoc a moment, and then he resheathed his sword, and helped Cadoc to his feet.
"I didn't mean to suprise you" explained Cadoc "are you Eregion?" Eregion nodded and then said"How did you know?" Cadoc rubbed his throat where Eregion's sword had been, and replied "My superiors, some of whom know members of the Varden, told me to expect a man named Eregion by noon. When you didn't show, I decided to come looking for you, and I found you. I'm here to help"
"How?"inquired Eregion. Cadoc shook his head and said "Not here. Come with me to Lithgow, we can talk there." Eregion, walked over to Belecthor, Eregion's blood-red armor gleamed dimly in the dying sun, and untying Belecthor, motioned for Cadoc to follow him.

Kraden was en route from Reavstone to Lithgow in Surda. He was under orders from the Varden to finalize a shipment of medical herbs and different medicines from the port city to the Varden outposts in inner-Surda.
The Varden had entrusted this with him because of his rich medical knowledge. He could pinpoint whether the medical herbs were still good, or whether they had rotted away. He also had the unique ability to bring schemes to light. The Varden, especially in times like these, needed good medical material at modest prices. Kraden was the best choice in all of Surda to make sure these requirements were met.
He tucked his papers into his jacket. He would need to show these to a Varden member in order to gain access to the Varden outpost and to also gain access to the medical storage.
As he rode over the plain on his steed, he noticed a small group of trees. There he found two people, one on foot and the other on a large war horse walking towards the city. One looked like a member of the Surdan military. If anything, he would be able to direct Kraden to the correct area of Lithgow.
He trotted over to the two traveling men. "Excuse me!" he said directing the question to the one on foot. "I believe you could be of some assistance to me." He said, glancing to the one on the hose.

Eregion stared at the man below him, and eyed him strangely. Like he had seen him before, but he couldn't remember where....or when. Eregion halted Belecthor, and got off. He took off his gold-and-black helm, and wiped beads of sweat from his face. Replacing his helm atop his head, Eregion looked from Cadoc to the man and then said "Who are you?"

"Oh! My name is Kraden, Kraden Eilret" Kraden said to the man who had just dismounted the horse, adding a slight bow. "I'm on a mission for the Varden, well, not really a mission but a task. I need to get to the Varden medical storage in Lithgow to varify some transactions between the ports and inner-Surda. I need someone of the Varden to point me in the direction of the Varden outpost here in Lithgow. Can either of you help me?" he asked.

"I am Eregion Aranuir, also of the Varden" replied Eregion, returning the bow. "We head for Lithgow, you may join us. Be warned any sign of betrayal and I will not hesitate to eliminate you." Eregion motioned for Cadoc to continue walking, and mounting Belecthor, said to the man "Let's go" and began to follow in Cadoc's wake. They made their way to the city gates, and while Cadoc talked with the guards, Eregion looked down at Kraden, and said "How did you come across the Varden?"

Kraden walked along side the monsterous war horse. "Well," he said, "My father was of the Surdan Army, as so was I. But, eventually I left after four years of fighting and came to aid the Varden when they came to Surda. Ever since then, I seem to have been in charge of the medical supplies and medical trade to the Varden. Not that I couldn't hold my own in battle," he said as he hinted at his dual longswords at his side.
They walked through the city of Lithgow, through streets of markets and residential ares. Kraden began to ponder where they were going. [[OOC: You can play Cadoc all you want lol]]

Eregion stared at Kraden, as they made their way to a fork of four streets, and then followed Cadoc as they made their way down the second and middle street. "My story is a different one" began Eregion darkly "I was raised in Galbatorix's court, my father was one of his top Generals in charge of the defense of Urû'baen. So I grew up under the watchful eye of Galbatorix"
"Though I never saw his twisted dragon, Shruikan, I knew he was there. Galbatorix always seemed to be deep in thought when I was in his presence. When I was twenty, the shade Durza came to Urû'baen, and then my father was brought before Galbatorix, and then murdered by Durza. I escaped because my father had me smuggled out, this bow-" Eregion pointed to the beautiful bow slung across his back, the yew wood clashing with the deep blood-red of Eregion's armor "was made by my father. It was his final gift to me. I also lost my mother and brother to Galbatorix. They were also murdered by Durza."finished Eregion, not mentioning his flight from Urû'baen or his trek across the Hadarac.
That was all this man needed to know, until he had earned Eregion's trust. Eventually Cadoc stopped in front of a home, near the Surdan army barracks of Lithgow and said "In here. This is my home. We can talk here Eregion, and if you want Kraden I will take you to our medical warehouse, where we keep all our medical supplies." Cadoc held open the wooden door, while Eregion dismounted Belecthor, and tied him to a post in front of Cadoc's house. Eregion walked inside, and Cadoc waited to see wether Kraden would do the same.

The Empire...How truly fascinating, thought Kraden as he entered the home. Kraden found this Eregion character quite fascinating. Not too many people could claim such a background and be standing to tell the tale.
"My father was killed in an Urgal attack some time ago. My mother still lives in Aberon as a witch healer. But other than that my story isn't too interesting." he said.
Kraden wasn't sure if he could trust Eregion or not. He had trusted people before, and a lot of good that had done him. But, perhaps this new acquaintence would benefit him somehow or someway. Only time could tell.
But for now, he walked through the door and awaited the further conversation that would shape the coming days.

Cadoc led Eregion and Kraden to a parlor, just opposite the entrance and motioned for them to sit down. Eregion, sat down in a huge armchair, and then Cadoc began to talk. "Eregion, I know about the mission you were given. Let me warn you, entering Empire territory, when Galbatorix is hunting Varden members, especially with your background is dangerous."
Eregion waved away Cadoc's concern, and said "I must go, I was given this mission and I will see it through. Besides, Galbatorix thinks I'm dead, last time his soldiers saw me I was-" but Eregion didn't finish, because now was not the time to reveal anymore to his new companions. Eregion thought a moment and said "Kraden, you were given a mission right? You wish to see it through don't you? I'm about to ask you something very important, do you miss fighting?" Eregion waited for Kraden's anwser.

Kraden sat down in a chair and pondered the question. Do I miss fighting? He lulled this around in his head for what seemed forever. He did not miss war by any means, but he most certainly DID miss knowing he was directly causing an imapact on the Empire.
"I don't miss war...." Kraden finally said. "But the idea of destroying those loyal to the Empire is something I wish I hadn't given up. What are you proposing?"

Eregion looked at Kraden, and said "I am proposing, you to aid me in the fight against the Empire. I need a hand, seeing as if I am recognized I will be hunted. You are unknown in the Empire, having never left Surda, you will not be recognized. I need someone to aid me in staying anonymous."
"If you agree, it will be a great sacrafice, we will risk imprisonment, and even death. Though the risks are great, the reward is greater, helping the Varden. What do you say?" finished Eregion, once again waiting for Kraden's anwser.
(( Out Of Character: You Can Say No To This. Only Agree If You Really Want To.))

Kraden thought for a while. Traveling...he had wanted that. And this would be far better than running around Surda varifying trade agreements. Besides, from what Eregion said, it would almost seem as if Kraden would be somewhat of an assassin of sorts. How exciting...
"You have yourself a deal." Kraden said after thinking over it for a while.

Eregion smiled, and standing up, walked over to Cadoc and whispered something in his ear. Eregion then turned to Kraden and said "We will continue on our way, in two days. Cadoc will supply you with weapons and medical herbs. Though you will need to procure a horse. I will go with you. Any questions?" inquired Eregion

"No, not really. In that time I'm sure you will be able to first figure out where we will be going." laughed Kraden. "But for now, that will do. I'll finalize that last trade shipment this evening and be done with that." ((OOC: I won't RP that))
This was the beginning of new beginnings for Kraden. A chance to go out into the big vast world, and make a noticable difference.

Eregion pondered a moment and said to Kraden "We head for Furnost once your arrangements are completed. If you wish I can come with you, and help you so the arrangements can get done faster. What do you say?"
((OOC: I'm Probably Going To Get A New Character, So in this RP Eregion is going to be killed by the Ra'zac, and you will meet my new character, during the battle with the Ra'zac so it can continue))
