Therious smiled, the birds origins reminded him of happier times.
"I was much younger when I met Poly the first time. Truth be known there is another bird in the elves capitol city by the name of Blagden. I made a journey there some time ago, and Blagden fascinated me. When I returned home I saught out a sutiable companion for myself." Therious popped a grape into his mouth, chewing it while he finished his story, "After some time spent in the forest alone, I found that Poly had a personality that complimented my own. I cast several enchantments upon him granting him longer life, intelligence, and many other things. The enchantments had a few side affects, the most noticable being his abnormally large size."
Therious stood abruptly, and quickly looked out the window. "Something is wrong. Poly's in danger, we must go to him."
Therious grabbed his staff and cloak, throwing the hood over his head. He dashed out of the door leaving it standing wide open.
He headed to the street and glanced roughly at the ground, trying to gain a point of reference. He took off down the street, in an unpreditable direction. Hoping that Vedrit would be not far behind.

He was interested in the story of the bird, and the land that Vedrit was supposed to have grown up in. When Thrious got up and rushed out, Vedrit hurridly followed, the pack on his back feeling heavier than it normally did. He ignored the thought of there being something extra in his pack. He saw Therious unexplectedly turn, and hurried to follow. When ever Therious hesitated, Vedrit got closer, the gap shortening.

Therious made quick movements down various side streets, in a seemingly random sequence. Suddenly almost out of no where they encountered a large building, with a massive wooden gate. The walls of the building reached twenty or thirty feet into the sky, with no visible roof. "This is the place, you stay here in this alleyway, if all is well I will send Poly for you. If something is out of place, you will know it all to soon. I promise to do my best to insure the freedom of you and your unborn steed." Leaving Vedrit behind, he strolled out of the alley, across the street to the massive wooden gates which blocked his entrance. Glancing quickly over his shoulder he opened the gate slightly and slipped inside, closing the entrance behind him. ((Continued here[/color]))
