Softly the leaves rustled just outside the tavern as a shadowy figure crept by the window and glanced inside. There were three Empire soldiers scattered through the tavern and they were all unaware that Death had come to claim them and that it would not be pleasant. Quickly the man slipped his hood up and tested the hidden blades a few times. They worked fine and he stood up and walked in calmly. Warm air hit him at the same time as the smell of ale. Konner walked over to the bar and ordered a mug of ale while looking out of the corner of his eye at the first soldier.

Anurin walked into the tavern a little after Konnor. He was hit by the intoxicating smell of sweat and ale. He sat next to Konnor and ordered a mug of ale. As he waited he looked around. Supposedly there was a small meeting for the Empire and Nasuada had sent him. Of course he had no idea about Konnor and as he made it seem he drank his ale, he put the mug back on the table. His elven ears helping him listening to the men. He looked at Konnor and frowned as he looked at his hand. Some metal, impossible to see for humans but as an Elf he saw fine the sharp piece of metal.
Taking a deep breath, Anurin used magic to carve the words "Who are you?" Into the table in front of Konnor. Vanilor being in the forezt flicked his tail into the ground causing a tremor. Anurin cursed as the Empire soldiers stood up and he stood in their way, apologizing and telling them to reseat themselves. They did so and he sighed. Too close.. he looked back at Konnor interested.

Konner looked at the table with a sigh and used magic to carve A friend into the mug he had just sat down on the table over the words on the table. Quickly he stood up and felt Talon's mind contact him. Another dragon was in the forest. Konner glanced at the person next to him and then walked over to the first guard while no other guard was watching and stabbed him in the back. Positioning the body, he allowed it to lay on the table like he was sleeping and then stabbed the second guard with the same concept. Konner sat down next to the elf and raised an eyebrow slowly and questioningly.

Anurin tapped Konnor's hand, leaving a message that wrote "Meet me outside. You'll see where." right before he called the huge bulk of Vanilor over and wait outside, Vanilor being too huge to be able to hide. They looked at the small tavern and waited for the man to leave. As they waited, Vanilor said,"We need to go back Anurin. Our students are waiting for us. Also remember the celbration of Sir William.". Anurin nodded and continued to stare intently.
He looked around the trees for any signs of the Empire. He did not want them to come in right now. He thought of the man he had seen inside. The man had seemed a little elvish. Perhaps a Rider? But where was his dragon then? He searched feverishly for the dragon then looked to the door that swung open.

Konner nodded barely and stood up after the other rider had left. He stretched slightly and threw the knife he had picked up off the bar at the last soldier. The body slumped forward and fell to the floor as he walked outside to the sound of gasps and finally he spotted the dragon. Konner called Talon and heard the thunder of wing beats as the dragon flew toward them, finally landing right next to where he stood. "So you seem to be confident that even in a conquered city you are safe. Why is that, Argetlam?" The melodic tone of Konner's voice didn't hide the fact that he was human but it did show he was not a normal rider.

(Konnor may wanna refer to Anurin and Vanilor as Ebrithil. They are 1127 years old..  ) Anurin decided not to answer Konnor's question but instead indicating the huge bulk of white scales that formed Vanilor. He eyed Konnor and Talon, not previously knowing about them. He looked at Konnor and saw that the Bond had altered him. Never again would Konnor be mistaken for a human. But neither did he seem perfectly an Elf. In time he would however. Anurin decided to ask a few questions; chief of them being why Konnor had killed those men. "Why did you kill those men? Did you not see I was just about to recieve important knowledge off of them? The one they were escorting drank poison and killed themselves as you revealed yourself. Who are you anyways? And why are you even here boy?" he asked Konnor, his annoyance in the fact that his wait was for nothing seeping into his voice. Vanilor looked at the other dragon a little curiously but then continued to watch the two Riders. |

"Someone like myself does not ask for permission but for forgiveness when I deem it necessary. Besides, I killed them for the simple fact that they were Empire soldiers in an area controlled by a Varden encampment." Konner blinked and glared at the rider who acted like he was more important than he was. This rider may be older than him but Konner was a knight after all and a rider as well. "If I deem it worthy enough a cause to kill some soldiers than you do not need to know the reason. Oh and by the way, I did not reveal myself until the last guard because I am more experienced at such things than you give me credit for."
Konner glanced at the dragon who was a lot larger than Talon and grinned slightly "Although it does appear that you are my elder so I beg your forgiveness Ebrithil." The rider twisted his hand into the formal gesture meant for elves and honored riders. Konner bowed his head and waited for his fellow rider to acknowledge him.
Greetings Ebrithil and Shining Scales, I am Talon Fireclaw, dragon ally of Konner Derriksson. Please forgive him for his rash behavior earlier. Talon spoke directly to Anurin and Vanilor even though it would've been rude for them to do so to him, well for Anurin to anyhow.

Anurin stiffened as he felt pressure on his mind. Then he heard the other dragon who introduced himself as Talon and relaxed. As he heard what they said. he returned the greeting and said,"My apologies. I was just irritated that I couldn't get what I came for after waiting for so long Konnor-finiarel and Talon-finiarel. I did not wish to make it seem as though I gave myself more credit than you, it just is that after waiting in the same accursed place for five days is rather annoying. Though do forgive me for my impatience."
He walked back to Vanilor and said,"Come, there are better places to speak than her. Also, I wish to talk to Nasuada about you and Talon. You have caught our interests. Shall we go? Or do you have something else you must attend?"
Vanilor snorted. He had had a mor uncomfortable five days than Anurin had. He had been forced to hide in the trees that crammed him up. And everyday he would have to watch' helpless as Anurin goes to that packed tavern alone without him. He sighed and puffed out some smoke. He hoped he could move soon.. these trees were annoying him

Konner heard the name Nasuada and immediately he tensed up slightly. She knew who he was and had told him to keep his life and identity a secret. Yes he had kept most of it a secret but even the most foolish can figure something out. When Talon agreed to go with Vanilor and Anurin, Konner sighed and nodded. "We can go with you to meet with Nasuada. Besides I hear there is a celebration going on right now that is for anyone besides the Empire." Konner moved toward the street more and heard Talon take to the sky to follow from there since the city was too cramped to walk in.

Anurin nodded. He was curious about these two. Usually he would be one of the first to learn of a new pair. Yet this time Nasuada had not informed him. He frowned slightly as Vanilor as well took off and he walked to the exit. As he got outside, he began walking in any direction for a couple of miles, just to throw off nybody who may have been following them.Then he called Vanilor and they flew to the city.

Konner followed the elfin rider out of the area until it was safe for them to call the dragons back. Of course the entire time Konner was talking to Talon about the situation. Finally they arrived at the celebration and Konner jumped down to the ground.
