rider of Kamikurai | empire rider It had been three days since Reru and Aysten had arrived in Uru'baen. The half-elf prince needed time to find a Shade that would be willing to help them. In the mean time he had established Aysten and his dragon Sora as his personal guest. His father as usual was locked up in his study trying to find the word for the ancient language.
That morning Reru had made contact with a Shade named Yuiz who had agreed to help them. This particular Shade was one he knew fairly well but even so he knew how dangerous asking for her help was, anytime shades were involved it was dangerous. He had sent a message to Aysten by way of a page boy with the good news. They were to meet that evening with the Shade to attempt to find Alyssa's soul. He had also asked Aysten to come to his quarters before so they could prepare the crystal they would need.
Reru's quarters were next to his fathers and furnished the way you would expect a Prince's room to look. It was well taken care of and priceless objects were scattered around the room in forms of paintings, sculptures and more. The most obvious part of it was the now open balcony large enough to accommodate a dragon to enter from outside. Kami was not there, she rarely was. She was out eating at the moment and Reru knew she would choose to take a nap in the court yard after rather than return to him.
The half-elf prince sat on a chair near his fireplace, which at the moment was not burning. It was a warm enough day that he didn't want a fire. He opened his hand and looked at the clear crystal on the leather cord, this would be Alyssa's cruxis crystal if they could find her.

Aysten had spent most of the three days in his room, he rarely left, And when he did it was only on the occasions when he would go to visit Sora, She hadn’t spoken to him since they had arrived in the dark city. So the three days for Aysten was spent almost entirely in silence.
The nights there where spent laying awake, Unable to fall asleep. That seemed to be the normal with Aysten recently as he hadn’t slept since the day in Gil’ead As the voices in his head fought for control. Slowly Aysten came to realize that this course would only end badly, But the second voice argued he should at least see the quest through.
On the third day Aysten looked worn down, His eyes held dark circles around them and his clothes, though presentable where wrinkled. Even his skin seemed to be a bit paler.
And that was the condition the page found him in on the third day, Staring off into space as he watched the sun set. Then getting up he moved, Attempted to smooth out his clothing so that he was a bit more presentable. It was a poor attempt and in the end Aysten took to the halls much the same.
Knocking on Reru’s door he waited, Knowing what fate waited on the other side of the door he steadied himself as he prepared to discover what may or may not have been at one time.

rider of Kamikurai | empire rider Reru waved for his servent to answer the door. The young boy was Reru's personal servant and attended to most of his needs. "Prince Reru's been expecting you," he said opening the door and standing to the side so Aysten could enter. Once he did the boy closed the door then went about. Reru motioned for Aysten to join him near the fireplace. There was a vacant chair across from him. Reru was dressed in fine clothing and looked every bit deserving of his title as Prince. He only dressed like this while at Urubaen. When traveling he looked rather ordinary. "You don't look so well Aysten? Something wrong?" he asked noticing how tired he seemed and even pale. He hoped Aysten hadn't had any more seizures that he didn't know about but he simply just looked bad off.
