Kialandi was born twenty one years before the fall of the riders when his father decided to betray the riders. He was instantly taken to the eggs so that he could be shown what they were like and then sent to a manor off in the country near Ilirea where Morzan lived. For several years Kialandi was trained in fighting and magic as well as taught all the information he could learn by his father.
It was when Kialandi turned twelve years old that Morzan decided he should be presented a dragon to be a rider but Kialandi was not interested for he knew already that he wouldn't be a rider. Inside the boy knew he was different and there were feelings he could not identify. Kialandi was yelled at and when no egg would hatch for him Morzan took the boy home and beat him.
In a blind rage, Kialandi grew and was suddenly a dragon-like creature that no one had ever seen before but stories had spoke of. Since no one knew who Kialandi's mother was besides Morzan, the entire population labeled the boy as a demon and soon he was hunted. Kialandi raged and took to the skies where he burned several villages on his way to the mountains in the Spine.
Years passed with Kialandi learning that he was in fact different and that he could control his anger and control his transformation. He started searching and soon he had enough supplies to do what he wanted. While the Fall was happening, Kialandi started building a small manor house by erecting the building and then building a wall of stone that stood as high as the trees around it. Soon he was able to live there and start his life as a member of the wild.
When Kialandi was done he went to what had been Ilirea in the dead of the night and saw that the riders had been destroyed and that the Forsworn were being ruled by none other than his father. Kialandi cursed his very parents and then swore to take down all that Morzan stood for. Years passed as he caused havoc for Morzan and helped slay Kialandi, his namesake, before taking the blade of the rider and flying to the elves.
When he arrived, Kialandi was able to convince the elves to alter the rider's blade so that it was suited for a dragon spirit. With the new blade he continued destroying the Empire as best he could and helped the Varden when he felt the need to. Kialandi was present when Eragon arrived at the Varden and there for the battle of Farthen Dur.
