Full Name:Galbatorix
Other Name:Oath-breaker, Egg breaker.
Race:Human
Side:Empire
Birthplace:Inzilbêth
Age:Roughly 300
Gender:Male
Birthday:Not stated
Eyes:Black
Hair:Black
Height:6'6
Weight:200 lbs
Magic User:Yes, and excels as he knows the True name of the Ancient Language
Preferred Weapon(s):Vrael's Rider Sword, originally named Islingr, translated into "Light-bringer" renamed by Galbatorix after he took it from Vrael after Vrael's defeat in Ristvak'baen to Vrangr. The blade is white, the same as Vreal's dragon Umaroth's scales and is later described by Eragon "reminded him of a sun-bleached bone. It was the color of death, not life, and seemed far more dangerous than any shade of black, be it ever so dark." As it seemed the sword was 'infected' by Galbatorix's darkness and was pale and colorless.
Appearance:Galbatorix is a tall and muscular man, with broad shoulders and black gloves. He is shown as a handsome man, with elegant shoulder-length black hair, long facial features, and dark eyes. He also has a worn out, dark rugged cape which as Galbatorix stated when Eragon came to challenge him,"I cut this from the wings of Belgabad himself, and you dare to challenge me!"
Personality:In the early days of his life, Galbatorix was a proud and foolhardy man, a trait that was augmented by his superiority to his peers during their many training sessions. His arrogance was looked upon with caution by a few of the Dragon Riders at the time but ultimately dismissed, consequently leading to their downfall.
His recklessness was demonstrated most when he ventured into Urgal territory under the belief that he was strong enough to defend himself. When his dragon was killed in the ensuing conflict, his mind took its path into madness and insanity. Fractured by the loss of his dragon, as was a common occurrence upon losing someone of a close bond, Galbatorix eventually persuaded himself that the Elder Riders were to blame for his dragon's death.
Now, in the present, although Galbatorix is insane, it does not seem to affect his intelligence as he is a cunning, fast-witted man and very manipulative with a sweet voice that makes people see to his reason. Murtagh, before escaping his grasp late into the first book, had almost succumbed to him and later states to Eragon,"Is it evil that he wants to unite Alagaësia under a single banner, eliminate the need for war, and restore the Riders?" This shows how manipulative he can be.

History:
Galbatorix was born in what we are forced to believe as an old abandoned Elf city. At the age of 10, he showed great potential and was accepted as a Rider, being given an egg. That egg hatched to become his first dragon, who will later in his life, die and be his cause of ruin. He quickly began showing great power in magic and some of his elders were alerted of his quick ascent of power. The majority however, ignored this, which will later be their down fall. Soon after finishing his apprenticeship, Galbatorix and two other friends along with their dragons, arrogant and proud of the power they had achieved, traveled deep into the Spine, towards Urgal territory. They were ambushed at the midst of night as they made camp and Galbatorix was the sole survivor. However, in the confusion and chaos, a stray arrow made it's way into Galbatorix's dragon's heart and without the knowledge to save her, she perished.
Driven mad by the grief of his loss, Galbatorix wandered the Spine, throwing himself at anything in his way, soldiers and Urgals alike, his figure becoming so wicked and fearful that the Urgals began to avoid him al-together. After awhile, Galbatorix realized that the Dragon Rider Council might grant him another egg and so he made his way back to the city, and along the way he was plagued by the fatigue of starvation and as he reached there, was found unconscious by a farmer who immediately summoned the Riders. As he awoke, Galbatorix demanded another egg from the Elders but Oromis saw the madness in him and knew it wouldn't be wise and so he persuaded the other Elders not to. With his grief blinding his judgement, Galbatorix blamed the Riders for the murder of his dragon.
Though he was mad and insane, Galbatorix was still cunning, and persuasive with his sweet voice. He convinced an innocent Rider to lure an Elder into a trap and assassinate him, which afterwards, Galbatorix murdered him and his dragon and took his Eldunari afterwards he let out an insane-induced scream and hid in the wild, confident that the Riders would give up on trying to find him. He began his teaching once again, this time under a Shade and bent the Eldunari's will to him. It was later that year that he met a man, strong of the body but weak of will, Morzan, who he convinced to leave the gates to the citadel and he then slaughtered a Rider who's dragon had just recently been born. With the help of the Shade, Galbatorix enslaved the dragon to him through a forced bond, the dragon being named Shruikan.
After gathering his horde of Eldunari, now with the power to do as he pleased, Galbatorix came out of hiding with another thirteen Riders and their dragons, loyal to him, called the Forsworn. With the help of their Eldunari, they overthrew the Riders. Only a single of the Forsworn died in the Rider's War. Afterwards, Vrael, the head Dragon Rider fled and in a decisive battle between him and Galbatorix, Vrael almost defeated Galbatorix however when he had the opportunity, he hesitated and Galbatorix took this opportunity to mortally wound him. Vrael fled once again, hoping to recover, but Galbatorix hunted him and decapitated him, then taking his sword. He proceeded to murder the king of the Broddring Kingdom, taking the power for himself, and naming himself king over what is now known as the Empire.
Anything Extra:I'm not gonna add the Dragon Bio for Shruikan cuz we really don't know much more than his name and scale color which I already put. So um, yeah, here ye go heh.
