Leinath walked along the empty halls with his dragon following him. Obsidr was now bigger than any dragon of his age thanks to Galbatorix’s spells, since he didn’t had more than a week since he hatched and he already reached Leinath’s chest. He was having a little break from his training with Murtagh, he had proven him how low his skills were against his, thing that made him feel his pride wounded, he never had an opponent that could defeat him so easily and so many times in a row. Obsidr poked him by behind and smiled at him in an attempt to cheer him up, what worked…..a little. Leinath sighed as Obsidr got at his side and they started to walk together, except when the halls became too narrow for them to go side by side. They weren’t going anywhere in specific, they simply were exploring the place, Leinath still hadn’t seen a big part of the castle and he didn’t wanted to get lost again, and to not get lost he needed to know the place perfectly. Ooc: Sorry for taking so long and the short post. I hope you like the title though

Blonde hair framing a soft featured face that held blue eyes with pain and grief within them flashed as a woman walked through the palace with her eyes ahead and her full lips forming a grin. Of course I want be a part of the attack on Ellesmera but unless King Galbatorix tells me himself then it is not likely I'm getting involved in your petty fight with Emiryal. Cierra Skailahsdaughter looked over at the taller and bigger rider who seemed to believe she was his personal attack dog even though she was obviously smaller than he was in every way. As she spoke though, Ci saw another person walking ahead and grinned again when she recognized Leinath who had been training with Murtagh.
Murtagh, Empire champion and obvious successor if the king ever died and his sons didn't want the throne for themselves, was all she could think about at most days and so Ci was unsurprised when she saw his dark hair and eyes with Zar'roc in his hand and his large dragon Thorn behind him. She couldn't believe that in some weird way the Empire "prince" was related to Brenton Bromsson. Yet then another person popped into her head. Brenton, tall and muscular with soft features and obvious royalty in his blood. Someone who had been hurt and confused so he looked for acceptance and love everywhere. It hurt as Ci thought about the elven king because she had been in love with Brenton but then he left without so much as a goodbye. And to make it worse was the fact that she was second in his mind and he had taken her friend for his own.
Cierra shook her head slightly and walked toward Leinath with measured steps and slow breathing, trying to keep the hope out of her eyes and voice. Leinath, is Murtagh with you? Ci cringed as she realized that she was blushing and her voice had sounded like a school girl's with the whole giggle at the name. So much for hiding her crush on Murtagh but hopefully Leinath wouldn't notice.

As Leinath walked he noticed Cierra, who was talking with an unknown guy. He discreetly looked around, searching a way to avoid her, but the hall was completely straight, so if he kept walking forwards an encounter with her was impossible to avoid. With a deep sigh he continued walking with Obsidr, not exactly feeling comfortable with the whole situation, he just wanted to explore the place for a couple of minutes and then go back to his room, so he could rest until the next practice with Murtagh, but something told him that said rest would have to wait, if it arrived at all.
Ci walked towards him and stood in front of him, forcing him to stop mostly by politeness, since it was obvious that she intended to talk with him. He looked at her without interest as she asked him about Murtagh´s whereabouts, he noticed the faint blush and the odd tone on his voice rather quickly thanks to his experience, but he said nothing, since the last time he did he got Ci’s dragon chasing him and Obsidr for almost a whole hour, he wasn’t sure if it was because of embarrassment or anger, but one thing was sure, he didn’t wanted that to happen again.
“No, I left him on the training grounds, so, unless he followed me, I think he must still be there or near to that place” He simply said at her, keeping his voice neutral and emotionless while talking.

Murtagh Morzansson | Empire's general and champion | Rider of Thorn
Leinath in some ways reminded him of his travels with Eragon. Not so much in age but that he had easily beaten Eragon in training when they first started. His life time of training was more than most seemed to have, granted his harsh childhood had deemed it mandatory. Surely it would only be a matter of time before he faced his half brother again. They were more on equal footing now as far as skill but Murtagh wouldn't be able to hold back, his oaths would not allow it. He watched as Thorn took off from the courtyard he and Leinath had been training in. Thorn was perhaps his only true friend, and certainly the only one he completely trusted. It wasn't long before the castle hid Thorn from view. As big as the red dragon was the castle still could block him from view. He re-adjusted Zar'roc in it's sheath before entering the surprisingly empty halls. Usually he ran onto at least a servant, but it was empty for now. He glanced down the hall the way Leinath and Obsidr had gone, he could feel their minds though he made no attempt to intrude. They'd learn that lesson later on. As luck had it, that hall was where Murtagh needed to go. He needed to meet with an informant who had recently returned from the Varden. Most of the time informants stayed there and communicated in other ways. For one to return it had to be important. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. He didn't feel like listening to a report at the moment, he'd rather have taken a flight with Thorn and for a short while forget everything. He walked down the hall and soon enough he saw a few servants with fresh sheets walk by, they all averted their eyes from him nervously. He ignored them as he continued down the hall. He hadn't expected to see Leinath, but it seemed they had got suck lingering in the hall speaking to Cierra. He didn't know her overly well, but as a rider he knew of her. Obsidian was large enough with Leinath and the others there to effectively block the hall. He considered testing Leinath and his dragon by throwing a spell or something at them. After all they always needed to be ready, but at the moment he had to go meet with the informant and didn't have time for that. Murtagh walked over to them. "Leinath, Obsidr," he said in greeting. "Cierra," he added recognizing her. But again he didn't really know her personally nor of her affection but he knew all the Empire Riders at least by name.

As Cierra got ready to respond to what Leinath had said, already knowing that he was trying to avoid saying anything about her tone when she said Murtagh's name, she heard more footsteps. Slowly the blonde elven rider looked up and saw someone she hadn't expected at that moment, Murtagh Morzansson. MURTAGH! How are you today? How is Thorn? Have you been around the Empire lately? What's the war like right now? All of the questions were rushed and they were in another imitation of a schoolgirl. Yet she wasn't done. One last question, or comment really. What do you think of me? The last question was really soft and immediately the girl blushed even though she knew that she shouldn't because all it would do is give her away but she couldn't help it. So Cierra made it a point to look anywhere else besides at the other two riders.
((Sorry it's crappy and short but this post is just not real easy to type))

Murtagh Morzansson | Empire's general and champion | Rider of Thorn (No problem.) The barrage of questions surprised Murtagh but he didn't seem bothered by it. If he was he didn't show it. It wasn't totally uncommon for others to react like this, but at the same time never had another rider reacted like this to him. Thorn's amused laughter rang in his mind, and Murtagh flushed slightly red more so from Thorn's amusement than Cierra's question. Thorn was the only one who could really get to him. "Thorn and I are well enough, the state of affairs remains the same and what I think of you?" he paused considering the question. He hadn't had much interaction with Cierra and almost awkwardly he was younger than her yet he was her commanding officer more or less. "Your a valuable asset to the Empire," he finally said not really having much to say on the matter. Any rider would be valuable to them but he didn't really know her personally. There were few he new that way, in fact he didn't let people get close enough in the first place to get to know them. That could be dangerous and the only one he trusted was Thorn.

Leinath heard footsteps going towards them through the hallway and immediately got tense, discreetly grabbing his sword, ready to fight, it was mostly involuntary; after so many years of being attacked by surprise any unexpected or suspicious sound, no matter how low it was, made him get defensive or aggressive. His reaction affect Obsidr as well, as he looked a lot more tense now, like if he also expected an attack. When Murtagh came into view and greeted them they looked at him immediately, Obsidr relaxed, but Leinath was still tense, looking at him “Murtagh” He said with respect, Obsidr lowered his head respectfully, he still was learning to communicate with something else than sensations or emotions correctly, so he preferred to stay silent and not make a mistake that could be offensive.
Leinath rolled his eyes when Cierra started to talk, she was talking like a little girl with a crush instead of like a warrior and dragon rider, or at least that was what Leinath thought, he didn’t said it out loud and tried to block those thoughts with the small amount of mind defense abilities that he had learned, so he wouldn’t get in trouble. Obsidr smiled lightly, but didn’t laugh. When Cierra blushed they looked at each other, they were thinking exactly the same, but, just as they did with the other thoughts, they kept it by themselves.
They looked at Murtagh as he answered, not with much interest in general, just to see his reaction. They noticed his really light flinch, but they were unsure if that was because of Cierra’s words or not, mostly because it was really odd for him to flinch at all. As he answered to the last of Cierra’s question they looked back at her silently. They kept completely silence while Murtagh and Cierra talked, just being spectators, they didn’t had anything to say anyways.
