Beginnings of a Book ((Looking for character ideas))

[Brenton]

Brenton Brynsson
A young elf born in the forest city where the queen of the elves, his mother, ruled with a soft heart but a strict set of rules. Separated from his father at birth, Brenton was never able to meet Bryn and therefore unable to meet his two brothers Eron and Damion. As he grew to a young man, Brenton survived many hardships, one of them being his trip to the mountainous town where Bryn lived with Eron and Damion just to be caught by the tyrant king of the Empire who ruled over that land. It was said that elves were held in high esteem but when Brenton was in the wilderness he was given an artifact that he managed to keep hidden from the king, an egg of a Gryphon. This was strange since it was this very creature that the king had strove to have eradicated when he destroyed all of the warriors who were bonded with Gryphons. Now as a young man, Brenton is in his home once more but without Bryn to see what has befell the queen of the elves. Brenton is an orphan and has ascended to the throne to take his mother's place while his brothers fight over who will take the throne of the budding Empire just east of the desert. Much has changed since the young elf was born but he has much to learn still.

Damion Brynsson
Second oldest son of Bryn, Damion is a half-elf warrior who believes nothing bad can happen to him, until he loses his father and realizes that his brother is not going to help him in any way. Damion soon realizes that if he wishes to do anything with his life then he must first leave the Empire and start his own kingdom so he too can make Bryn proud. Like Brenton, Damion never truly knew Bryn because Bryn had left when Damion was just a wee boy of five years old. Fifteen years have passed and now Bryn is a strapping young man who is ready to enter the world and explore some more.

Eron Brynsson
The youngest of three sons of Bryn, Eron is the least likely to start a war or even to get into any altercation with another person. As he is a child born of a human and a sorcerous woman who claimed Fey blood, he is very adept in arcane abilities and is one who can change the war with the Empire. When Eron was born it was said to be the coldest day in the Empire and that the mountains quaked in fear to see someone so powerful enter their domain. Now Eron studies the elements and knows all forms of magic that one day can help him. He searches for a way to create weapons to dethrone the king of the Empire and is currently demanding that Damion not pursue his dreams of being king of a new kingdom.

Bryn Vanilithsson
Revered warrior of another time, Bryn is a human who has many secrets that he keeps to himself and doesn't tell anyone, even his most trusted family members. Once a fallen prince of the Empire, Bryn holds pure hatred for the king, Hal Vanilithsson, who caused him much pain. Even in his darkest hours, Bryn knew that he was wanted by many and knew that one day the family of Bryn would be very powerful. In his banishment, Bryn traveled to the elven kingdom and met a woman who was queen of the land. He fell hopelessly in love with her but it was not meant to be after they had a son, Brenton. Fearing that Hal would find him and kill his son, Bryn fled to the Empire and started a life in a remote part of the world. He met another woman, the princess of the elven kingdom, who begged him to stay with her for the night. So he did and Damion was born of that night of pure impulse. Once again he feared for his son and this time had the princess go to her land and leave his son. It was that time that a messenger of the Fey arrived in the mountains and spoke of hardship for all. Bryn caught her eye and once again he had another relationship. This one was the reason for Eron to be born. After finally having his sons and feeling safe in his bloodline, Bryn searched for a life that would bring him face to face with Hal. On his trip he discovered that Brenton had been captured and so Bryn fought to the center of the Empire but was struck down outside the gates.

Hal Vanilithsson
Tyrant king of the Empire and brother of Bryn, Hal is the son of Vanilith who was the king before him and who died of a mysterious heart failure. Hal is someone who took the throne and rules with an iron fist. When he received word that his brother was still alive, Hal went to find him but never did. Then Bryn showed up after Hal, unknowingly, caught one of his sons. That was a victory for the Empire.
