new activity bar.

some of you might have noticed the new little bar under your profile that says activity. It's a new feature I just installed, so it's a bit of a test run to see if we like it or not.

For the time being it will say we are all inactive with 0 posts, even me. xP That's because it only started counting posts when I installed it just now. So as you post it will go up. It calculates activity based on 30 days, and posting 2 twice a day is considered active. So not much if you want to get your bar up. =)

I'd love to hear any input from you guys on this.

Two posts a day seems a little low. I'm lucky to owe one post a day. I could always start more threads but I don't want to thin my muses out too much.

I like the idea otherwise though--it's hard to tell how active people are in one glance, and usually we have to look up their last login date as well as how frequently they posted before, which is a hassle.

Thanks, it is quite a hassle to gauge activity, this will hopefully make it much easier if it works.

2 a day is low though that is 60 posts a month, I can up it a bit if you guys want or we can change it later once we find a good number for it. But yeah I'm with you I don't want to thin out my muse either.

True, that's why I kinda set it at 2 a day for now, considering the pace of posting around here. I don't often get the opportunity to do that much either.

I'm a bit iffy about the bars, but mostly because I'm at an all time low with my muse right now and am struggling to even get a single post made right now. And I honestly don't want something else besides my guilty conscience pressuring to get all my posts done right now. (On the other hand though, I can't even see the bar on my 3DS, which I use to do most of my posting, so I guess the bars don't effect me as much as they usually would.)

With that said, I really need to get to work on posting in the threads where people have been waiting for my response for several days now (or, at least, that's what my conscience keeps telling me), so I better stop distracting myself with this and get to work. *crosses his fingers in hopes that he doesn't hit burnout*

Tbh, due to the massive time space between the rest and I, I can't get much more than two posts down a day. It's kind of annoying but.. meh, I try to make due with what i have.

I like this idea! Makes things so much easier. It's on a scale, so you should still be considered active even without posting twice a day. So posting once a day could be considered active, twice being very active?

thanks guys and yes exactly Queztal. Even at one post at day that is good, and if some days you get like 10 posts in a day and another 0 posts it will all even out in the end. It's an average post per day, not actual post per day.

Since it will take like a month for it to catch up accurately, I've lowered the time it considers to one week. I'll up it to two weeks next week then 3 then 4 weeks until it gets to 30 days. That way it will be more to scale quicker.

Timmir: I've been there too with low muse, I feel like I do the same thing as you making people wait for my responses sometimes. But I don't mean the bar to be a pressure to make you post or anything. Nothing is going to happen if a bar says no activity or little.

This sucks...it started while I was gone. But I do owe some posts...

EDIT: This plugin isn't one of my favorites since I do all my posting from my phone and it shows me inactive. No matter how many posts I send it show inactive and is frustrating to put it nicely.
