It was a nice peaceful evening in the city of Dras-Leona. The sun was now slowing setting as it bathed the city in an orange glow, while the citizens of the city were either heading home or to their local tavern. It was just another normal day in the city. Of course something was going to change all that.
"Get back here you thief." Called a half-elf woman wearing a cloak with a dragon embroidery on it as she gave chase to a cloak figure with a satchel full of stuff on him.
"Do you honestly think I'm that stupid?" Trelik resplied as he quickly headed into an alleyway. This is bad. He thought, She's proving to be a lot faster then I thought. Though what did I expect from someone who's part dragon.
((Sorry for the very short introduction post. I couldn't think of anything else to add to this without getting to ahead of myself.))

Standing just at the entrance of the alley and to the left was a man who carried himself with dignity and self respect as he looked at a sword in his hand. He wasn't actually going to buy the blade from the smith but it was always best to examine weapons and learn all of the different designs for if he ever needed a custom weapon created. This one was slim at the tip while expanding in thickness and width as it went down to the hilt, giving it a wavering shape almost. The blade was silvery and sharper than most the man had run across anywhere else which didn't really surprise him considering he was at an elven smith.
The hilt was long enough to be a hand and a half in case of two handed attacks being necessary for power but still being mobile enough to swing while holding a shield. This was a fine blade made by a great swordsmith who knew exactly what it took to do their work with precision and dedication no human could ever achieve. As the man reached to examine a smaller and thinner blade, a loud shout split the air and reached his ears with surprising clarity. The man looked up and tried to pinpoint the exact location of where the sound was coming from. It looked like the disturbance was caused by a lone man and a woman who was giving chase to him like he was a common thief. Only one man was ever brave enough to steal so blatantly and unfortunately Konner knew that man by name and face. Trelik! A man who had been at Throkk's forge when the assassin had gotten his weapons reforged. With a sigh, Konner set the sword down and drew his own while moving slowly over to where he could get in front of Trelik if he had to. A shadowy doorway in the alley gave perfect position for that but also required him to put away the sword and rely heavily upon his hidden blades.
Konner listened carefully while he also cast his mind out to where Talon was resting just outside the city. We have a problem here. A rider is causing mayhem and his dragon is probably nearby. Or at least I think that is who it is. Just be prepared Talon. Konner relayed the message and then sent an image of where he was at in case extraction was necessary.
Be careful, youngling. You don't know how much trouble this person is in so for all you know he could kill you first and ask questions later. Talon's voice was a deep basso in Konner's head as he pulled the hood over his hair and down so it hid his face and made it harder to see him. Konner nearly laughed but Trelik and the woman were nearing where he was hiding and so that couldn't be good.

Rowanis rolled her eyes as Trelik sprinted past her. "No, we ladies mistakenly think that your gorgeous eyes mean you have a gorgeous soul." She brought herself a hundred feet ahead of Trelik again, more or less, considering he hadn't charted a route of his escape for her. A lot of the things Trelik did made her roll her eyes, but she wasn't about to stop him; he was too much fun to watch for her to truly want to.
There was a hooded man lurking in an alleyway when Rowanis scanned the general region before Trelik. She didn't like the angle he held himself at, making him difficult to see. Without him able to see her he couldn't turn to hide the faint reflection on his cloak of a blade held at his side. The dead woman threw her head back and groaned. She turned to face Trelik as he raced up toward her. Raising an arm, she pointed and shouted to him, "There's an armed man hiding around this corner here. He looks about as honest as you do, if not less so." She leaned to one side. "My my, she's fast. Think you'll make it, Trelik?"

Humming a merry tune, walking around the city that was her home, Illori had just stopped by a small place to sit by as she began nibbling on her newly-bought fresh-baked bread with paste. It was lovely. She had added the ingredients herself and made sure to watch the bread as it baked with a keen eye. Finally, after an hour of making the doe from scratch and baking it at just the right temperature, she was finally enjoying the pay off of her work. Of course, all that was bound to change. After all, in just about every story, happiness doesn't last too long. The sky seemed to be moody, as if it itself was angry as the clouds began to slowly begin to partly form a shape together. It wasn't all-together unpleasant, after all, there was a nice breeze with just the right temperature. Just as she finished off her foe bread, she jumped at the sound of a woman calling and a rather snide comment. She walked to the end of the alley, warily passing by a man handling a sword with the arm of an expert.
She took a peek out the alley and -- flinched back as a young boy came running into the alley with a woman across him shouting at him rather unpleasant words. She took a look at the man next to her first, before deciding anything and decided to first introduce herself. She walked up to him and when he didn't respond, he felt she should say something. She poked his shoulder and said, "Um, hello? Not to interrupt you with whatever it is you're hoping to accomplish by staring at that poor little boy, but I'm just hoping I could ask you to refrain from attacking him if you may. I'll go talk to him and ask why there's a lady chasing after him - though it probably has something to do with the satchel he's carrying, something that probably belongs to her. Anyway, my name's Illori. Nice to meet you." Her face lighting up with a smile before she stepped outside the alley.
She stood in front of the boy and said, "Now now, everyone. Let's all stop right here and see what seems to be the problem. Surely we could come to an agreement? First off, miss, if you wouldn't mind I'd ask if you refrain from attacking this young man. We'll find out his problem, he'll return the satchel, then you can go on with your day however you see fit. All is well that ends well, no?" Making a stop gesture in front of her. She looked at the young man and asked, "Would you mind explaining why you stole from the kind lady over there? If it's something I can help with, then surely you wouldn't mind returning it to her and let me help you out? Oh, I'm Illori by the way, nice to meet you." Her face once again lighting up in a friendly smile.

((So first off, I feel like I should apologize for taking so long getting to this post. It's no excuse, but I'm afraid I've been getting pretty easily distracted recently.))
As he ran down the alleyway, he heard his companion warn him about a shady man waiting by a shadowy doorway. Trelik's instincts told him that it was unlikely to be anything good, and he should steer away from it. "Thanks for the warning Rowanis, and please try to have some fate in me. I made it out of far worst situations then this." He said to the ghost as he quickly made a decision to change his route.
Right when he did so, a strange woman stepped in front of him and asked him to stop. Trelik didn't pay her much mind though as he instead quickly began scaling the wall. One might say that it was quite rude. but he was currently in a pretty delicate situation. And what type of self-respecting thief stopped because of some random woman telling him to do so anyways.
Farore looked up as she saw Trelik quickly making his way up before looking back down towards the woman. "I'm sorry to inform you this miss, but I highly doubt he'll stop just because you asked him nicely to. After all, that's not exactly some random satchel he has there." She informed the woman as she quickly looked back up to see that Trelik had made it to the roof, "Now if you don't mind, I have to go see if I can head him off up ahead. If you want to help, try to see if you can get any of the guards to help me catch that criminal. He's proven to be pretty slippery so far, but if we are able to corner him, we'll be able to catch him.
Or are you planning on catching him yourself Konner?" It was quite obvious with that last sentence she had stopped talking to the woman, and was instead talking to the man who had hid/ was hiding around a shadowy doorway. She couldn't help, but wonder now what the assassin would do if he manage to catch up to Trelik. All she knew exactly was that it would most likely end poorly for the thief.
((Also, I'm pretty sure I made a few mistakes about character positions and actions, so please don't hesitate to tell / PM me if I got something wrong in my post, and I'll make an edit as soon I can.))

Konner was just getting ready to scale the wall himself when he realized that the woman was Farore, a dragon spirit of Du Weldenvarden. With a sigh, the assassin rider stopped and glanced up at the sky to see Talon already flying overhead. That thief is an acquaintance of Brenton's and I am fairly certain that something is wrong if he is stealing from you, Farore. So yes, I must go and apprehend him first and that requires Talon's help. With that, Konner jumped off of a wall and sprung up onto the roof of another building where he began running after Trelik. Talon swooped down from the skies above and soon the man was in the saddle and riding fast toward where the thief was.
Trelik, you slippery snake, I told you I know who you are and unfortunately you have stolen from one of my friends. Do I really have to kill you on the evening where all can see it so that your kind will refrain from this course of action again? Just slow down and let us talk a minute so I know what is going on. Konner had cast his mind out to where Trelik was running and started communicating mentally while Talon flew in closer.

Rowanis just shrugged. "I'll develop faith when it has more experience to stand on." She grinned. "Really I'm just basking in the joy of teasing you. It would amuse me to see you beaten by a woman, though I have strong confidence in your abilities regardless." A young woman tried to assuage the apparent rivalries between Trelik and his pursuer, and Rowanis just shook her head; nothing stopped Trelik, not when he had a plan in mind. "You have good intentions though, love," she told Illori, who wouldn't hear her, but Rowanis still felt the need to be polite.
Trelik set his sights on a wall and began to climb it with an agility that would never cease to astonish her. His toes and fingers seemed to find a magnetic hold on a nearly flat and impermeable surface--she'd tried following him, tried teaching herself to climb when he wasn't looking. Even without the bruises her body would have given her in life the experience still hadn't given her any indication that she would ever be proficient in the exercise.
When Rowanis next turned around, the shadowy man had disappeared, and her mouth opened a fraction in surprise. Shouldn't she have heard him leave? What kind of a watch was she if she couldn't keep track of one man? Well, at least she hadn't lost track of Trelik yet; if she did she would have to cast down her good name in shame. It didn't comfort her that the shadowy man--Konnor--seemed to be after Trelik too.
With a sigh of frustration Rowanis brought herself to several feet behind her thief, to save herself the time of catching up to him. Nearly the moment she did so a vast shadow swept over the rooftop and Rowanis stumbled, nearly falling off the roof in shock. "Trelik there is a DRAGON chasing you. Are you sure you know what you're doing?" she shouted, unnerved.

((Ugh... I'm really sorry for making you both wait, especially after having asked you both to join this thread -_-))
Farore sighed as she saw Konner jump up and ride Talon. This wasn't good, but wasn't exactly bad either. This would definitely bring the attention they would need for this plan to work. Yet everything would be ruined if Konner actually caught and/or killed Trelik, then the whole plan would be ruined.
Good thing there was a simple solution to that.
Trelik cursed as he heard Rowanis' warning and saw the shadow himself. This wasn't good. Trelik had no way of telling what the assassin planned to do, and how far he was willing to go in order to do it. The mental message he received from Konner only furthered his worry. If only he wasn't to busy concentrating on running from a freaking dragon, he would of probably responded to the assassin. Besides, the fact that the assassin somehow knew his real name showed that this plan was necessary.
Not liking his chances on the roof, Trelik decided to drop back down to an alleyway below. It would help block the dragon and rider's line of sight, or at least he hoped it would. Trelik groaned in pain as he landed on the ground below him, but didn't let that stop him. There was to much at risk for him to pause for even a second.
Trelik, I'm warning you now. I may be forced to inform Konner what are plan is. I'm pretty sure he's trustworthy, and I think you rather that then to be killed. Besides, he could prove to be of much assistance in spreading the word of your 'demise'. Trelik didn't like hearing. He understood that the Dragon Spirit would only do this if she trusted Konner, but that didn't mean he trusted the assassin.

Konner was shocked when Trelik disappeared into what looked like an alley, cutting off all line of sight except occasional glimpses through gaps in the wall. That was just unfair to run down there. So it would be a foot race then which Konner tried to avoid.
As he decided all of that, the rider felt Talon swing down toward the alley and so he propelled himself downward. Downward and at an angle was his actual descent, as Konner caught onto a ledge and the dropped into the shadows, instantly muttering a spell to increase his night vision. He shot off through the inky blackness, an arrow from the bowstring of a dragon's saddle, while listening for sounds to give away climbing up a wall.
Just as Konner was getting ready to give up, he caught sight of the thief running ahead of his by about ten meters. That was an easy enough distance to close if he went all out on the sprint but it would be a one shot type deal. So the knight picked up speed and felt his muscles bunching and relaxing as his legs ate up the distance between the two of them.
He was so close that he could almost reach out and grab Trelik by the throat but the rider was tiring out quickly and so he jumped forward. Forward into a tackle aimed for the thief's legs right at the knees. His arms would poised to wrap around the thief if he connected but it all depended upon if Trelik had been sprinting before or if he still had a burst of speed left in him.

Rowanis growled to herself when Trelik returned to the ground. It was easier running for her, but he made it difficult for her to keep up with him as she'd like to. At least that was likely to make it even harder for others to follow him, though. She leaped back down to the ground--she didn't much care for the leap, but it was less disorienting than vanishing in between. Besides, part of her, the part hiding behind the instinctual terror of throwing herself off the roof of a building, found it exhilarating that she could and not harm herself. It was, in a small way, very nearly fun.
"He's off the dragon and chasing you on foot!" she updated Trelik at a shout as she chased after him. If anyone could see all three of them how foolish they would look. She threw one glance behind herself, her fraying red hair catching in her eyes, and gasped. "Trelik, he's here!"
The Rider launched himself forward Rowanis steeled herself, willing her corporeal self to retain some of its come-and-go solidity--a trick she had purposefully hidden from Trelik's knowledge. But Trelik wasn't looking, and she was between Trelik and the assassin, and if it worked she would be able to slow him just briefly.
But this was a new skill, and she'd had little reason to practice it at all. She felt the assassin's shoulder press momentarily against her back, before he passed through her entirely and she sucked in her breath. She'd always hated the feeling of being gone through, and tended to avoid it when at all possible.
