(I'll just post here. Not much I can do with Velathan right now, though.)
Velathan was dimly aware of the Empire warrior that David had defeated slinking off into the maze of buildings, trailing blood and badly wounded but he was more focused on the man currently trying to kill him. David had joined him in taunting the horseman, and as he did that, Velathan began to slowly circle around to the side of the horseman, attempting to outflank him and force him either to run or fight rather than simply not attacking. He hoped that David's shouting would keep him distracted, otherwise it might not go all too well.

((I'll post what I can))
ISRYDIA AND ARLYN Varden
Isrydia saw Clarissa begin to open her mouth as if to cast a spell, and told Arlyn immediately through their mental link. The blue dragon withdrew quickly. They didn't know what spell she was casting, but whatever it was it would be best if they could get out of range of it.
The spell being such a short one, even flying as fast as he could Arlyn didn't get more than a few dozen feet away before the wave of magic emitted by the Empire Rider caught up with him. As the spell spread out further, it had got weaker. The bones in his tail shattered, but the vertebrae closer to his pelvis just took a rattling. The damage was limited to a sharp pain as though he and Isrydia had slammed into a wall for the rest of their bones. Both of them cried out at the sudden pain. Arlyn could not move more than the very first part of his tail. Vertebrae protect the neurones making up the spinal cord, and with his shattered, the neurones had split and damaged as they were pierced by splinters of bone. On one hand this meant he could not feel anything of the last two thirds of his tail, sparing him a great deal of pain. On the other it meant he couldn't move his tail in the slightest and there was nothing to support it. It hung limply, broken bits of bone making it zig-zag at odd angles. He could still keep aloft, though his wings were left sore, but his tail was important in steering. He tried to fly after Clarissa but struggled to stay in a straight line. He couldn't move as quickly either, wind hitting his tail and slowing him down.
Rider and dragon both called upon the abilities of the Air Branch to permit the air to cut around his tail and guide him somewhat it flying, but it was difficult, took a lot of concentration, and wasn't as good as moving normally. Isrydia was not as well versed in magic as some Riders since she had only had cause to learn the Ancient Language for the few months she had been a Rider. Nonetheless she had to try healing her dragon. Closing her eyes and drawing on the energy in any gem she had with her, she very carefully spoke to investigate each bit of the damage and knit everything back together. Arlyn did his best to fly back to the Varden and Empire Riders in the sky, roaring at Galbatorix in anger as she began commanding the pieces of the first broken vertebra to fuse back together as they had been before.
THROKK Varden
Throkk was busy fighting an Empire soldier when he noticed a tall man who looked a bit elfish, but didn't quite at the same time. He was a curious man, but of course now wasn't the time for chatting to interesting-seeming people. He finished off the soldier he was fighting, and noticed the strange man seemed to have a goal in mind. He made his way over to Talion. "You look determined, friend!" He said, "Are you after something? Glory? Revenge?"

Reru Reru smirked watching the two riders struggle to recover from his spell. He had no reason to finish them. He had other things to do. He landed on Avendel and the pair flew to Galbatorix's side. He took the slight reprieve to contact the Empire's spell casters and direct the army to better fight off the varden.
Summary: Reru goes to Galbatorix's side and issues commands to the army.
Emiryal Emiryal was confused by the breeze but felt on the verge of unconsciousness from the pain and his fatigue. The breeze confused him but it wasn't enough to free him. Firern was a large dragon after all Galbatorix had made him speed up his growth when they'd both been in the Empire. He was surprised to feel Fasail's hand on his shoulders. He'd expected her to be Empire and flinched waiting for the end to come. "What?" he said taking a moment to realize she was an ally. "Don't waist your energy...get my eldunari in the saddle," he said. He had three of them in the saddle. He heard soldiers in the distance coming. If Firern wasn't dead they probably would kill him when they got there. He was injured and didn't have enough strength left to heal himself or Firern.
Summary: Emiryal is confused about Rowanis but doesn't want to tire Fasail and tells her to get his Eldunari and hears soldiers coming.
Murtagh Thorn roared in annoyance with Arya. His wards had deflected her attack, his rider sensing the danger had poured more energy into protecting Thorn strengthening the wards.
Murtagh sighed seeing Eragon and Saphira go for Galbatorix. He didn't want to see them die, they surely would. He ran over to Thorn on the wall and used the name of the ancient language to manipulate the spell almost healing Thorn in an instant. The dragon shot off the wall after Saphira and Eragon, barely giving Murtagh a chance to get into the saddle. Arya was an annoyance but not a threat. "You're a idiot!" he shouted to Eragon. "Do you have a death wish? I can't save you this time," he called sincerely.
Summary: Thorn is annoyed with Arya. Murtagh and Thorn pursue Eragon and Saphira.

Brenton Bromsson
As the full power of the Nether returned to Brenton, and he began to gather some energy from Inferno as well, the half elf snapped his eyes up to where the tyrant flew on his black abomination. A roar ripped from Brenton's throat and soon he was in the air. Already he could feel the urge to shift but Vaentr wouldn't stand a chance against Shruikan. Because of that, Brenton was riding a construct of air and heat and shadow. It was a huge battle stallion decked in full armor but with differences. This mount had wings and paws of a large wolf where it should have hooves. Horns grew from the top of the shadow mount's head and looked vaguely like kull horns. Last was the mouth of razor sharp dragon teeth. This was a beast of all different worlds.
As the king neared Galbatorix, he said loud enough for Rerukusu and Galbatorix to hear. How does it feel to be nigh powerless once again, Rerukusu Galbatorixsson? Not even your tyrant of a father could save you from that spell and it hurts deep inside, doesn't it.
With a lazy flick of his wrist towards Galbatorix, Brenton sent a dark bolt of pure energy hurtling toward the king. It wouldn't kill but that attack would sever the tyrant's magical connection as well. If it landed that was.

TAlION THE LONE RANGER (Varden):
Talion was busy cutting his way through faceless soldiers when he heard a man talk to him, and allowed him a quick glance. This told the Ranger that he was not a man, but a Dwarf. Talion had never had to deal with Dwarves before, and had only ever seen them from afar. He did not respond at first, swinging his sword Urfael over the dwarf's head to kill a soldier. he then quick as a flash pulled out his bow and shot a number of soldiers near them before dropping his bow and pulling out his broken sword now dagger Acharn and leaping over the dwarf, flipping over another solider, turning in mid air, landing and slitting his throat. After a few seconds of heavy breathing he walked over and picked up his bow, putting it back on his back. His actions allowed the dwarf and him a few moments to talk. He then spoke his the voice that resonated the power he had "I have come for what is rightfully mine, and to see the last man alive who is responsible for my families deaths vanquished. Then I shall continue my lone road." He said as he pulled Ufrael from its sheath in preparation for more soldiers to make their way towards the pair.

Arlyn's fire swept harmlessly away from Shruikan's face. Galbatorix smirked watching. None of them could hope to have the power to stop him, none. He watched the scene before him, seeing Reru fell two riders. He would expect nothing less of his own blood. His son flew to him now. He raised a hand and blasted Arlyn with a powerful gust of wind. No one could stand against him, no one. He saw Brenton's attack and harmlessly dispersed it, reformed it and sent it back at Brenton. With his knowledge of the ancient language no spell however strong could really hurt him. Magic was his to command. Capricorn is inactive so Harbor is next.

((To be honest, I don't how much of this will matter after the time skip. Yet I would like to get this all down so everyone has a good idea of my state of play before the time skip happens.))
Morrow - Empire
Morrow felt odd soon after the barrier went up. Something was off. Was this the workings of their king? No matter. He needed to focus on the two soldiers he was engaged with now.
"Hmph. Brainwashed? Is that what the Varden are telling you? What you tell yourself so you can go asleep at night? That we're just a bunch of faceless, brainwashed soldiers just doing what are tyrannical king commands us?
"I'm sorry to tell you, but that's not the case. Every single one of us have a reason to fight. Families, friends, homes, our fellow soldiers. All things we would willing give our lives to protect. All things that have been put at risk because of the Varden's need for petty vengence. My own family was slaughter by the Varden when they took Belatona. Can you claim a more just reason to fight?"
Morrow was acutely aware of what Velathan was doing. One had to be very wary of their surroundings to have survived as many battles as he had. Still one thing that David said was true. It was two against one. The only way he could change this is if he quickly even the odds.
"Now pick a god and pray." Morrow told David as he charged his horse spear first towards the man.
Neldral - Neutral
Neldral had flew as fast as his body would take him once he noticed that the traitor king had made his appearance and just barely got in before the barrier came up. While he knew full well that Trelik would disapprove, it didn't matter. There was no way Neldral was going to leave his stupid Rider all alone in a situation like this. It's finally time for them to fight like dragon and rider.
Trelik - Neutral
Trelik looked down from above as he watched the scene play out. This wasn't good. It was two against one, and one of them were a magic. Even with the wards he put on him, he doubted his brother would stand a chance.
Then something else caught his attention. Something that worried him much more.
Neldral. What are you doing? Trelik asked with a worried expression on his face.
You honestly expect me to sit by and watch as my rider fights for his life in the presence of the eggbreaking king?
Neldral. Get out of here quick.
I wouldn't do that even if it was an option, and you know why. You came to this final battle out of your own free will. Now it's time for you to stop acting as a child and choose which side we're on so that we may truly fight like dragon and rider.
Trelik grimaced as Neldral's words echoed within his head. Was it truly time for him to make a choice? He looked down, only managing to catch the last bit of Morrow's speech after being distracted by Neldral.
Dad and I were slaughtered? Is that what they told him? I guess that explains his loyalty to the empire. Still. I can't just leave him there. Trelik takes a quick second to ensure that his face was covered. It's time. He then jumped down with his duel bronze hook swords in hand to face the two men who threatened his brother.
Farore - Varden
Farore flew through the sky as she looked at the state the battle was in now. Those barriers worried here a little, but knew they didn't matter much. Most of their soldiers should have pushed through the city already, and any spellcasters outside the barrier were working to either dispell it or work around it. Besides the Varden soldiers seem to be doing well on thier own. There was no way this was going to be the easy battle that Galbatorix had expected.
Yet right now Farore had a different objective she needed to take care of first. She needed to find that girl's father as quickly as she can. It may be unorthodox to be trying to help save an enemy soldier, but she needed to do something to help Alisa. She knew full well what a father meant to a daughter.
Still the fact remains that finding him would be difficult. While she had a name she could search for, who knew how many soldiers were called Maes. No. She needed something more concrete to work with. That's when she had an idea. She pictured Alisa as vividly as possible in her mind. Then she drew upon her supply of energy as she casted a spell that would lead her to her father.
It worked, but she was to late.
She changed back to her humanoid form as she looked at the Maes' corpse. It looked like he was amoung one of the first casualties when the Varden first broke through the wall. A small part of her wanted to believe that if she was faster looking for him, she could of saved him. Yet she knew full well that wasn't true. There was nothing she could of done, and now she had to tell that girl that her father didn't make it.

If it's found necessary, I'll copy and paste this post onto the other one once I'm able to get on a computer so that this one can be removed.))
Farore - Varden Continued
A fire began rage within Farore like never before. It's all that eggbreakers fault. Farore thought as she looked at the king that flew above them, If not for him, my father wouldn't have betrayed the riders, the riders would still be around, and Alisa's father, amoung many others, wouldn't be dead.
Farore then transformed back into her Dragon form as she flew towards the battle happening above. She was going to help end this war once and for all. Not just for the fate of the world though. For vengence for all those whos families were destroyed by Galbatorix's madness.
Alisa - Empire (by technicallity. Not Fighting)
Alisa followed after the other girl as they entered the house. Inside the house seemed old and dusty. Did anyone still live here? She wondered as she took a quick look around.
Yet her attention was quickly drawn to the sounds outside. It sounded scary out there. She hoped her father was alright. Then there was a scary voice of a man. She couldn't quite tell what he was saying, but it didn't sound like he was all that friendly.
Alisa began to feel doubt about staying here. She needed to find her father quickly before that scary man gets to him. Yet that woman told them to stay here. Can she really trust that woman to be able to save her father in time?
Alisa then turned towards Farria. It was weird. The girl appeared to be younger then her, yet she didn't seem to be anywhere near as scared as she was. How could that be? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Alisa then remembered something her father always told her. To always protect those who were less capable then herself. "Don't worry. My father will be here soon, and he'll protect us from the monsters. And until then, I'll protect you." Alisa told Farria as she took a brave face. Yet the statement was more to reassure herself then the younger girl.

TIME SKIP
Since things were getting slow, we are skipping ahead in time. It is now towards the end of the battle, and Galbatorix is fighting off Eragon and whichever Varden Riders want to join in.
The Empire forces had been pushed back almost as far as the castle. Things were not looking good for them, and the soldiers were starting to grow desperate. Without pain and feeling so close to defeat, they weren't afraid to take huge risks, making each individual incredibly dangerous to all members of the Varden. They were fighting dirty. The results of their attacks were often brutal, though their risk-taking did lead to more deaths on their end too. Everyone involved in the struggle had to work that much harder. So deep into the city, spellcasters had joined the scuffle having spent the earlier stages of the battle setting up traps and supporting the soldiers on the front line. Now the Varden soldiers had the hardest part of the their job, with the most risk. Traps were everywhere. Spellcasters hid in many houses or fought openly in the streets. Riders and dragons had fallen on both sides. Varden and Empire dragons were locked in battle all over the skies, while over the castle a few Varden Riders fought Galbatorix and Shruikan.
ERAGON AND SAPHIRA Varden
Ignoring what was happening on the ground to focus entirely on Galbatorix, Shruikan, and anyone who might attack them from behind, Eragon and Saphira had never felt such fear and adrenaline. The mixture of emotions gave them extra strength. The two, especially Eragon, kept having their minds clouded with rage as they regarded the man before them, but thankfully Glaedr would remind them to stay in control of themselves when this happened. They had taken a battering, but they were determined to carry on. All that needed seeing to was that Galbatorix's wards were destroyed. Clearly he had had the Empire magicians and scholars working on them for a long time, because even Glaedr only found small parts of them remotely familiar. Attacks just bounced off them. The black dragon and his Rider looked a bit tired, but that was nothing compared to some of the Varden Riders and their dragons. Eragon and Saphira were lucky in that the worst they had acquired was a number of scratches and bruises, and of course they were exhausted, but they could keep going for a long time yet.
Frustrated with how few of their attacks hit, the pair decided to try a different tactic. "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. Attack the parts of his wards we recognise, and the rest can unravel from there." Glaedr adviced them. Eragon thought this seemed a good idea. For it, he would undoubtedly need a lot of energy. He reached out his mind to the other dragons and Riders fighting Galbatorix and Shruikan, and sent to them Glaedr's idea of attacking the parts of the wards they understood best, as well as his need for them to all work together on the spell and in lending energy. Meanwhile, he began thinking of the phrasing for such a spell, Saphira and Glaedr helping him. He relayed his thoughts on the spell required to the others in the fight too.
Summary: Eragon, Saphira and Glaedr decide to ask the other dragons and Riders to help them unravel Galbatorix and Shruikan's wards.
ISRYDIA AND ARLYN Varden
Isrydia and Arlyn had been the first to attack Galbatorix and Shruikan, but had been drawn away by Clarissa earlier. Now they were attacking them again, along with Eragon, Saphira, and a few others. They had both shoved their fear to one side - it was still there, but ignored - to better focus on the task at hand. Isrydia had been able to heal Arlyn's tail to the point where it was supported and had some motion, but he couldn't use it as a weapon as he liked to and it made for poor steering. Isrydia helped him manoeuvre in the air. They flew at Shruikan, trying to know Galbatorix off his back by having Isrydia attempt to undo the straps of his saddle while Arlyn battered at him with a paw, hoping something like that would pass through his wards.
Upon feeling Eragon's presence, they both opened their minds to the other Riders and dragons to help work on the spell and lend their energy to it. They had no Eldunari to offer to help, but they did still have some reserves in gems.
Summary: Arlyn and Isrydia fly right at Galbatorix to try knocking him off while they join Eragon in making the anti-ward spell.
((Sorry this isn't very long, I'm so busy by the time I'm free I kinda want to just go to bed!))

GALBATORIX The black king was growing frustrated as he continued to feel like a large bull with many little dogs nipping at his heels. This frustration turned to rage as one of his commanders from the ground reached out to him mentally and informed him of the dire circumstances. So great was Galbatorix's rage that he sapped all of the man's life force from him in one quick drink. Deciding that play time was over, Galbatorix nudged shurikan with his heels and made downward towards a large open courtyard within his castle, large enough easily for several dragons. As he landed he hastily dismounted and called the remaining empire riders to him, With his new forsworn by his side, he would end this petty rebellion...All the while unbeknownst to galbatorix, his oldest wards, which just so happened to be the weakest and less thought out wards that he had, where beginning to become unraveled by the Varden Rider's William William was in the process of fighting one of the Empire commanders when suddenly the man went limp and fell from his saddle, dead before he had even left said saddle. William gave a slight sigh of relief, that man had been particularly skilled and well rested from being at the back of the bloody grind the battle was quickly devolving into. He glanced around at the Cavalry troops he had somehow found himself in command of since breaking away from Roran and Dyami. He was tired. but the day was far from over, He held his sword up high and swung it around overhead in a gesture to regroup. Then once the cavalry had regroup he signaled a withdrawl, onto to stop and then wheel the horses around to plow straight back into the brawl, knocking men aside and trampling them in what quickly desolved into a melee, William felt a hand grab at his left leg and yank him out of his saddle and onto the ground, Followed by a man who sought to drive his sword into Williams chest. William fought the man off barely and staggered away, Nighthood at run off from the vicious fray as soon as his master had been unmounted. so now he fought on the ground in a quickly diminishing group of surviving cavalry men, The situation began to grow grim for the Fearless Knight

Ryarion and Vindr
Ryarion and Vindr looked out onto the battlefield as the Varden advanced very quickly. But he knew, and so did his dragon that once they faced Galbatorix they Awould all be killed. For noone has the knowledge and power of the Ancient Language such as Galbatorix. Plus, even if the Varden and their riders had some sort of trick up their sleeves it would have to be one hell of a trick because Galbatorix doesn't fall easily and his riders behind him. But, thinking about how life would be with Galbatorix's rein made him realize that he would slaughter a-lot of people. And in the hand of the Varden there would be peace. So, Ryarion climbed up onto Vindr's saddle and spoke to him in the Ancient Language through their connection. "We shall ride out and help the Varden. I have made up my mind." Without any complaints from Vindr as he just grunted and Ryarion knew that what Vindr mean't was that it was about time. So, Vindr flew off and Ryarion unsheathed his sword it's perfect white hue shimmering through the air, holding it by his side he spotted Galbatorix landing down into a giant courtyard and as he looked back he realized that the Empire's riders were coming to help him. Ryarion knew he couldn't stand up against Galbatorix so he would hold off one or two of the Empire's riders so they couldn't get to their Tyrannical king. Ryarion continued by saying to Vindr " We shall ride out and take care of some of the Empire's Riders before they get to him." Which made Vindr respond with a Monstrous roar at the incoming riders he flew towards the first two he saw. Ryarion spoke under his breath a spell in the Ancient Language "Reisa" and on of the daggers from Ryarion's belt started to levitate as he thrust his hand outward it flew towards one of the riders. His eyes starting to glow pure white as he used magic.
OOC: You can choose it to be someone's rider idc.
