[Brenton]

"Sickness, insanity, and death were the angels that surrounded my cradle and they have followed me throughout my life."

Brenton Bromsson

The once proclaimed son of Brom and Islanzadi, this man was born into the life of being a half elf and half human. As a child he was actually just an impoverished son of a human and an elf who were unknown to all. At birth his father died and so he grew up taking care of the house like a man would. Brenton is brave and strong, with a massive streak of romanticism. He is kind and just, fair and loyal. For a long period of time, Brenton Bromsson resided in Ellesmera as king of the elves but his past came to haunt him.

Because Brenton was a former Empire servant after having been captured, he had his mind invaded and Galbatorix messed with his memories. So for many years, the king knew not of who he was but instead thought that he was royalty. Brenton is married to one human woman named Rella. His closest friends are Isrydia and Arlyn, Konner and Talon, and his two former dragons Vaentr and Grazael. He has a son named Drayden who is also a rider, of a great dragon named Naerien.

"As you get older it is harder to have heroes, but it is sort of necessary."

Kelocias Daughter of Vrael

Kelocias, born in the time of the original order of the riders, is the daughter of the once great leader of said riders. Her sire was named Vrael and her mother was Andume. She has a brother named Kuthian and a partner of the heart and soul, Istven. Kelocias is an elf who fights for the Varden but feels regret for not being able to help the riders when they fell to Galbatorix.

"The ego is a fascinating monster."

Konner Derriksson

Konner, born and raised in the land of the dwarves, is a man of immense strength. Yet his strength and prowess in battle has given him an inflated ego. This man was knighted by both the dwarves and the elves as well as being made and assassin and is a rider of Talon Fireclaw. He believes in slash first ask questions later unless it has to do with others under his command potentially getting hurt.

"I can't think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father's protection."

Drayden Brentonsson

Teenage son of Brenton Bromsson and former prince of the elven kingdom. He was born and raised in the Empire but when his father left he eventually escaped, along with his dragon Naerien.

"We can make mayors and officers every year, but not scholars."

Clarissa Daughter of Jessamine

Daughter of Galbatorix and Jessamine, Clarissa is the brother of Rerukusu. She is the rider of Vervada and the Empire's only known toxins expert. Clarissa is also a master at most forms of magic and is a scholar to the bone.
