Ragdar was that much closer to snapping at Rixen. He was in half a mind to just run the god damn Shade then and there. Yet again Lenora stopped him with some more soothing thoughts. With a smile of his own, he told the Shade, "Sorry to disappoint you, but those Shades have been dead for years. Besides, they never managed to touch us other than that one brief time." his voice fueled with fiery rage. Feeling a little angry at Faith for snapping at him, he once again consoled Fundor and Jura.
"Easy there Ragdar. Honestly, I don't blame her. You can be pretty irritating at times. After all, you are quite a hot headed guy." Fundor told him, his old voice encompassing the entirety of Ragdar's mind.
"Go easy on him, Fundor. He's still a youngster. Let him enjoy his life however he wants while he still can. You're starting to sound like an old man." Jura said. Ragdar smiled. Jura tended to always be the one defending him.
Turning to Faith he said, "I don't mean to be pushy here, but if it's work you need then I can point out a few jobs. The only difference is they won't be for people who are Shades." he hoped she would rather the jobs he offered. After all, working for a Shade will end up with nothing but trouble. "For one, you can come to Dras-Leona and work there. After all, the city could use some help rebuilding. Or you could go to the Council. They have quite a few open positions. Chief among them being guard duty for the entire of Alagaesia. Please, anything but working for a Shade." he told her, his voice pleading.
When you die, your world ends. The world may go on, but in your eyes, the world ends with you.
