She also ties her hair up in a braid. She has angular features and cold red eyes. She has a scar on her right cheekbone that she got in a fight with an Urgal and never bothered healing. For a human, she is quite tall and thin. When needed, Caelyn will disguise herself as a teenage girl with olive skin, blue eyes, freckles, and strawberry blonde hair. When disguised, she wears a blue dress.
Personality: Caelyn is very cunning, shrewd and intelligent. She is hot-headed and does not like being insulted. When fighting for something, she will never give up. To others, she appears cold, bloodthirsty and vicious. To the few who are close to her, she is much more laid back. Her friends are scarce, though some respect her. Their respect is more than just tinged with fear, but she doesn't care. She likes being feared. Caelyn tends to act logically, and will quickly come to a good decision. She also is quite reckless, knowing that it is nearly impossible for her to die.

History: Caelyn was born as Maurice. Her parents were spies for the Varden. Secretly, all seventy-eight people in her village were. She learned to read at a young age, and studied the Ancient Language. She began to practice magic. She was great at it, just not very strong. When she was eleven, she began practicing sorcery. It took three long years of study before she could summon anything, but it was worth it. On her seventeenth birthday, her village was raided by Urgals. They were sent by Galbatorix, who had their plan figured out. There were a hundred of them, and Maurice knew that would all face a bloody death when she saw them coming. She summoned spirits, and she submitted to their control, becoming Caelyn. She grabbed knifes from her house, and threw them at Urgals. Caelyn led her small “army” towards them. She managed to kill all the Urgals, but during the fight, her parents were killed. Caelyn swore revenge and took the survivors to the Varden, where she led raiding parties. When the Urgals joined the Varden, she was very angry and got into an argument with one, ending with him challenging her to a fair duel without magic. She accepted and won the duel with only a cut, which she never healed. During, the war, she lead small raiding parties. She would have done more, but the soldiers wouldn't trust her with their troops, and she wouldn't make more oaths than necessary. Now she bides her time in the newly rebuilt Carvahall, sometimes travelling to other places. She now plans to take the throne from Nasuada, even if it means waiting for her death.
