Moratensis kept his endless gaze on Reru. Before he said anything in response to his questions, he turned to Clarissa. "You wouldn't mind if I took off this noose for a bit, would you? It's not the best of fashion I've seen. Don't worry, I'll talk in the Ancient Language instead." he directed his talk to her, removing the noose without waiting for her to answer. Tossing the noose to the side, the metal chains from his cuffs clanking all the while, he turned back to Reru, leaning his back on the pillar again to keep himself comfortable.
Preparing himself to speak in the Ancient Language, a tongue he wasn't too familiar with, he said, "Well that'd be a lie. I'm not just here to harvest life. It's one of the few places that I still have what I consider as a 'house'. Though I call it a house, believe me, it's not. But it's the best I've got, so I came here. Siphoning the energy I require was obviously another reason, though. The main reason, in fact. If you want me to elaborate why I need the energy just ask, don't beat around the bush. It's annoying and a waste of time and breath." stopping to catch a breath before he continued, "I'm a Mage Hunter. Been raised as one since I was a little boy. I'm a normal human just like any of you, just that I had a little extra. A part of me craves for magic ever since I first devoured some of it as a young boy. If I satisfy that need, I'll continue to shimmer like an Elf. If I stop after consuming magic as few times as once then I'll turn into an empty shell."
Hoping that would answer his question, he looked around the room. Noticing the elegant couches he went to lay down one of them. "I'll be resting here until you've decided whether to kill me, torture me, lock me up, or whatever it is you'll decide. Actually, if you had some wine that would be lovely." he said, a suggestive hint in his voice towards the end.
When you die, your world ends. The world may go on, but in your eyes, the world ends with you.
