Standard Character Creation:
Full Name:Valenmir Kingslayer
Other name: "The Blind Elf" "The Outsider" "The Barbaric Elf" "The Tribal Elf" "The Snow Elf" "Valenmir the Exiled" "Kinglsayer" "The Stranger"
Race: Elf
Side: Varden
Birthplace: Far North of Du Weldenvarden
Age: 35
Gender: Male
Birthday: April, 5
Eyes:white
Hair:White
Weight:150 lb
Height:6'7
Magic User: Yes
Preferred Weapon(s): a unique double bladed pole arm ornately crafted with unique Snow Elf materials. Its two blades are so white they resemble milk glass.
Appearance: Valenmir comes from an elf species far to the North of Du Weldenvarden , up there it is cold, and thus the elves have evolved by having pale skin, white hair to camouflage into their surroundings, and body hair to warm them. Valenmir has wavy, medium, white hair, and a two inch beard. His skin is so white he stands out, and his skin seems to glow with the sunlight. One problem Valenmir faces is his blindness, he wears a black tattered ribbon across his eyes. The ribbon has his Clans insignia, but it is crossed out diagonally. When he was banished into to Alagaisia he was thrown out into the cold with nothing but thin layers of clothing, and his former weapon. He would hunt and skin animals to gain more protection against the cold. He killed giant eagles and wolves for their pelts. Along the way he met a Kuruk which would become his partner (More on this later). He now wears a mixture of tattered leather and linen. He wears a massive eagles skull mounted on one shoulder. He also wears a wolf pelt for a cloak, the wolves mouth lies on his head. ( you know those cloaks that the person puts their head where the animals mouth is?)
Personality: Valenmir is currently a husk of his former self. He used to be famous where he was from. A very honored and respected person from his land, but now he is a nobody. He has a deep sense of honor, and he also stays true to the ways of his clan. He likes to listen to people be around him even when he's not contributing to the conversation. Just to bother people he's sarcastic. One other thing he loves is fighting, yes and it may sound strange that a blind man is fighting but we'll get to that. He is not quick to anger, but he enjoys to fight. Deep down though he's a sweetheart. He smiles to people very often. But he has taken to alcohol as an escape from his memories.
--->Likes:fighting, being around other people, listening
--->Dislikes: loud noises, pain, people that judge too quickly like the elves.
--->Strengths: strong, good morality, good fighter, kindhearted
--->Weakness: the story of how he got banished from his clan, glass half empty kinda guy, is an alcoholic (for now, he's kinda depressed. He needs someone to get him back on his feet)
Family: He has a mother a father, a grandmother, and many siblings.
History: So, lets start off with the history of the Snow Elves. These elves came from Du Weldenvarden, when a group of about 11 elves were exiled for unknown reasons. This happened many, many years ago, when the elves were a new race. The group of elves did not wish to settle in the Hadrac Desert for it was too arid, and there was not enough water. So they traveled north. Far, far north where the winds were frigid, and the animals were fearsome. It had taken them months and they could not find a suitable place to live. They traveled vast mountain ranges until one night they decided to sleep in a cave, like many times before. Yet this was no ordinary cave, it was a massive ice cavern with trees that grew out of the roots of the trees above the cavern. Those trees formed great wooden pillars up to heights of 200 feet. No doubt the elves would settle here. The ice proved too hard to build on, so they used magic. From the trees, they grew out huge wooden structures spiraling up the trunks. Here the elves settled, yet the conditions were still harsh in this new world. The possibility of dying here were much greater than the ones in Du Wledenvarden. So as time continued, the elves would adapt, and become what they are now known as, the Snow Elves. They became pale to camoflauge, and they grew white hair. Several centuries after they settled in the ice cavern they would develop a religion centered around animals as spirit guides, and centered around the first 11 people that were banished. The 11 were now revered as Gods. A challenge they faced was food. The Snow Elves did not live off of the vegetation because it was not enough to support their race, so they would eat meat and hunt, unlike the elves in Du Weldenvarden. The animals in this land were strange, there were giant eagles, bears and wolves. The bears were the strangest of all the animals, they were able to speak like a dragon did with their mind, and could have special connections to the elves much like the dragons. They could stand on two legs, and they had evolved paws similar to hands, so they were able to forge armor, and bear weapons (see what I did there?... Nah... nothing? Oh come on I'm just tryin to have a bit of fun!). These bears called themselves the Kuruk. They would form a pact with the Snow Elves to remain allies. After this, many became partners like riders and dragons. Fast forward in time to the birth of Valenmir.(Now this is where the REAL history is beginning... My fingers are dying) Valenmir would be born into the Snow Elf clan. When a Snow Elf is born they are given a first name, but no last name. This is because last names are earned in the clan. Also roles are assigned to babes as soon as they are born. Valenmir, ironically, was chosen to be a guard and knight of the princess. It was ironic because it was soon found that Valenmir was blind. Sure, spells could be used to fix his eyesight, but this was against the Snow Elf way. Altering a persons body with magic was forbidden, and anyone to do it would be shamed. Thus Valenmir did not change his physical aspects per say, but he did enhance his body with magic. He cast several spells, with the help of the shaman, to enhance his hearing, his sense of touch, smell, and taste. Finally to make him fight better the shaman would improve his reaction speed, this was an extremely risky spell, because it could result in the destruction of his nerves. The elder warned him, but Valenmir said that if he could not protect the princess he would rather die. The operation (if you can call it that), was successful. Valenmir would not be able to move properly for a couple of months while he got used to his enhanced nervous system. It was strange that a single twitch on his arm would result in him flailing it uncontrollably. Once he got the grasp of his heightened senses Valenmir was ready to fight. For the first months he would struggle, but he was dedicated to it. Surprisingly he became one of the best fighters. He was so dedicated because he had fallen madly in love with the princess. It was unknown if the princess shared the same feelings, but she did show signs of affection towards Valenmir. The Queen and the King would both die, in their sleep. The guards outside their chambers were found dead without any found suspects. This troubled young Valenmir. The son of the King and the daughter of the Queen would become the next rulers. The former King and Queen were not from the same families thus this would not be incestuous relationship. Only when the the new rulers were about to be married was it that Valenmir realized that it was the prince who had killed his own father and the Queen. Valenmir had no physical proof but the prince HAD killed the rulers. Not only had Valenmir discovered this, but he also discovered the plan to kill the princess on her wedding day. Sadly that would also be the best time for Valenmir to strike, but he would have to kill both the assassin and the prince. Though between the time Valenmir caught word of the plan, and the time of the wedding, the young snow elf was not able to find any evidence. When the wedding came Valenmir waited patiently, until the now King and Queen were holding hands. Then it would be a race to see who could get there first, the assassin or Valenmir. He ran as fast as possible hacking his axe between the assassins shoulder and neck, killing him quickly. Then he ran to the King and chopped off his head, delivering a quick blow. He tried to tell the Queen but she would not listen, and she was quickly enveloped by her mob of guards. There he was taken into custody five days later the Queen spoke with him. Valenmir gave his reasons for killing the King, and the Queen believed him. But she knew that if he were returned to society he would be shunned, forever labeled to be dishonorable. So she banished found out his true name herself. And banished him. She knew that if she let him have free will, and told him to leave, that he would come back for her. It tore her heart to do this, but she thought that Alagaisia provided more opportunities for him. The queen requested for a Kuruk to stay with him at all times in order to ensure his saftey. At first his relationship and the Kuruk's was cold. But along their daring journey to Alagaisia, dangerous situations made them have to trust each other. Since then they developed a bond similar to a rider/dragon bond. The Kuruks name is Kers.
Anything extra: Nah, just post any plots you guys can think of for this character. He needs a person to get him back in shape.
