Sooooooooooo I was thinking about something that is probably why you clicked this if not then you can still stay. I think we need a thread to bring us together and here is my Idea. How about a ancient necromancer more powerful than Galbotorix that even the Elves could barely contain him and this uncertain time in Alagaesia would make a perfect time for him break free. Now I'm no mod but I think that this can be done of course this is all up to everyone. I think this could be a good kick-start for us. So Ladies and Gentlemen do what you will with this. Joker

We are actually having some pretty major discussions about plots/major ways to boost the site in the staff board, so don't you worry, big things should happen before the end of the Christmas season That said, in the meantime your idea sounds great. I don't think the necromancer should be more powerful than Galbtorix given it took people years to get rid of him. But powerful enough to take a whole team of people to bring him/her/them down for sure. They could raise a small army of the dead too, for anyone who has characters not strong enough to take on someone so powerful to fight. That way no one has to worry about joining the thread!

Actually, Quetzal if you need more ideas, remember you can use some enemy that comes from the north, like where Valenmir used to live. Since theres no description of all the life and the people there, you could literally make a completly different enemy or creature than any we've seen in the books.

We had some witches up their a while back kidnap Eragon to explain why he was gone when no one played him - they could always make a comeback!

That sounds like a good idea. I like that. Did anyone fight against them? Or did they disappear?

They disappeared

They could still be lurking up there. Potentially still in Eragon's head, they wiped his and Saphira's memories clear and we were considering having them lying dormant in their minds until they get in a more stable position of power after the war. Could possess other people too.

Thats sounds interesting, potentially turning friendly riders into enemies. It'd be interesting if people who side with the empire would be forced to fight alongside the Varden becaus ethe witches are a common threat. I was also thinking of the rise of a second Forsworn (just throwing ideas out there).

Once again, great minds think alike! Brenton tried to get a second Forsworn going but I don't think anyone besides him made any members for it. I don't think anyone would want to join so soon after Galby. However, a non-Rider Forsworn is possible. Say a group of people who fear all Riders now thanks to the Empire, and think they are far too powerful so need to be eradicated.

Any of these ideas are possible, we just have to agree on one i'm up for any of them. But what makes me doubt the forsworn plot now is that the forsworn woukd likely not be made up if other dragon riders and instead normal people... So what would make these normal people enough of a threat to the riders that are already so powerful?

I don't see Riders wanting to kill other Riders, I reckon realistically it would be non-Riders. With enough training a powerful magic user might match a Rider, as would a Shade. Any power class would, though again dragon spirits may feel too close to dragons to join, wouldn't see many of those in a new Forsworn but not impossible. Mostly I think they'd go for overcoming them by numbers. Even the best warrior out there would struggle against ten people at once.

I tried to get the New Forsworn going a long time ago when we had more active members. Even had a member of it, Ashendale. It never went anywhere so Ash became a Nether Shade and started that drama with Nelfy in Du Weldenvarden.
Still a group of strong spellcasters with normal people interspersed would be good. I might be convinced enough to bring the Hero out of retirement for that one. Maybe even have the witches involved by twisting minds to create this New Forsworn...

That's a good idea! The witches could be behind the new Forsworn! They have enough power to possess Riders and dragons, they could definitely take them on. Plus possess more to use them against each other while tucked away safely in the far north.
