Power class rider
Full Name:Galeron Aeda
Other Names: The Young Eagle, the White Eagle
Race: Human
Side: Empire, secretly (for now, he could be convinced to change by another rider)
Birthplace: Urû'baen
Age:16
Gender: Male
Birthday: January, 30
Eyes: blue
Hair: blond
Weight: 140
Height: 5'8
Magic User:learning, but he's weak... He needs a mentor
Preferred Weapon(s): For now sword and a shield during battle. Yet Galeron thought a greatsword would be more effective on the long run. Once a rider was strong ennough to create enough wards, what was the point of having a shield? That was his reasoning. His sword is a sword Galbatorix gave him, it was made of brightsteel, it was so polished it seemed like a mirror. It was forged from other riders swords, but it was molded and tinted differently. The sword was given to Galeron along with the dragon egg. It's name is Avifidril. It has the glyphs "I am Avifidril, sword of Galeron, loose thy talons upon the prey" inscribed horizontally across its guard. It is a greatsword. Its guard is pointed when it nears the center of the blade, and then it curves like a crescent moon towards its two ends, and then those tips are cut at an angle. Its grip is corrugated, and fitted to Galerons hands. At its pommel is an eagles talons grasping a diamond.
Appearance: Galeron has pretty long, messy blond hair. But it's light blonde hair, to the point where it may be mistaken for it being white (look up Slaine Troyard on google images, I couldn't put in a link because I'm on my phone. He looks like Slaine except for his eyes.). His hair reaches down to his mouth if he combs it forward, and it reaches a little bit above his shoulders on the sides of his heas. He has dark blue eyes that may seem black at night but are clearly blue under sunlight. As he is a noble, he is of pale skin tone, he is not accustomed to hard work outside of his house. As time goes on he will most likely become more robust and tan. He has a pretty lean body, and for his age he's average height. He wears a doublet with a black background, silver trimmings, and ornate silver designs across the vest. On his breast he has a white eagle, the family crest of the Aeda house. He has a white under shirt, with black trousers, and black boots that reach above his knees. He wears a black belt with a silver eagles head in the middle. The sword is too long for his current stature, so he places it diagonally across his back.
Personality: Galeron is a very calm person, even under moments of stress he keeps a clear head... And this is his main fault as well. Since he is so calm, it its hard to get him to do anything, he's very lazy. But as he grows up he will show great intelligence and analytical skills. Yet still many people get frustrated with how calm he is. His father is one of those people, he gets the most frustrated because he has seen the intelligence his son has, but his son does nothing. Galeron does not mind war, he sees it as a concept that is necessary, no matter what there will be war, because not all humans can stick to the same ideals. There will always be humans to fight another humans ideas. And Galeron is willing to fight for his ideals, even if it means killing someone.
--->Likes: flying(when he gets his dragon), laying down, taking things slow, sightseeing, painting, writing, inventing, discovering new ways to use magic, and lastly hunting with birds of prey (falconry)
--->Dislikes: people that are too energetic, people that are stupid, people that boss him around
--->Strengths: analytical thinking, intelligence, calm under stress, he's been taught extensively on how to protect his mind and how to attack with it, he has learned some aspects of the ancient language.
--->Weakness: laziness, lack of motivation, lack of energy, maybe too calm in moments when he should be more vigilant
Family: The Aeda family is one of high class. They are said to be distant relatives to Galbatoix's family. Galerons father is Lord Garen and his mother is Lady Valera. Galeron has no siblings. The Aeda family is one of the very few exporters of ravens. Ravens and crows are necessary in order to deliver messages. Thus they sell well since nobles are usually the only ones literate, but there are few nobles. Another source of income for the family is banking.
History: Galeron was born into a family of high class. He was born in a time where war would soon be inevitable. His father was good friends with Galbatorix, the Aeda family would often dine with him. To Galeron Galbatorix was like an uncle, albeit a strange one. As Galeron grew up he began to hear of the atrocities Galbatorix was responsible of. He chose to deny it, the man he knew was a good man, on the other hand Galeron did not know much about Galbatorix, he mostly kept to himself. At the age of ten Galbatorix took an interest in Galeron and called him up to his castle one day. Galeron kept calm and went up, he asked his "uncle" what he had called him for. The emperor lead Galeron to a big dark room, and down there Galeron met Shruikan. Galeron had heard rumors that Galbatorix had a dragon, but he never believed it. Galeron was amazed by Shruikan, almost, intimidated by him. The dragon could fit a several hundred humans in its mouth. Galbatorix told Galeron the history of the dragons and at the very end he told Galeron that he was planning to make him a Rider. Galeron felt honored, but Galbatorix's plan was to use him from the start, just like Murtagh. The emperor told Galeron to keep their meetings a secret and to not speak a word of it to his father. Galbatorix would develop a soft spot for Galeron, Galbatorix thought of him as the son he never had. Not only that he thought of him as perfect, he was loyal, obedient and intelligent beyond thought. Galbatorix never learned of Galerons' lazy side due to the fact that Galeron was greatly interested by Galbatorix, and feared him, he knew of Galbatorix's power. The meetings continued for many days. Since Galeron was not a magic user at the time the very first thing Galbatorix would make him do is train his mind. He would train him to protect his mind from anyone, because if anyone searched Galerons mind, it could mean they had information on Galbatorix. He did exhausting exercises with the poor boy. He would come at him at full strength, and he would ravage his mind until Galeron could defend himself. At the age of 9 he was able to. The Tyrant was extremely impressed by this, for a nine year old to be able to hold back a mind like his. The training would later move on to more complex things, Galeron would be taught the ancient language, as well as spells, even though he couldn't use magic. The training until one day Galeron caught the word of a war. One day, he stared from the window pane in his room, and saw Galbatorix's men marching south, as well as a red dragon flying overhead the army. None the less, Galeron continued meeting with Galbatorix. After that march, the king seemed distressed. There would be several more meetings, until the invasion of the city. A ten man guard came to the Aeda's house, and requested that Galeron and Garen be taken immediately to Galbatoix's quarters. There Galbatoix gave Galeron his last words, at this point Galbatorix was more of a father than an uncle. Galbatorix gave Garen a thin rectangular chest and he told him to let Galeron open it when he thought he was of age, and to let him open it alone. Then as he told them to evacuate he whispered to Galeron that he should carry out his legacy. The family evacuated and began to form a fort on the Toark River. The fort would eb known as Fort Altai. Yet in present day the fort is not completed, the Aeda family is taking refuge in Teirm with some neighbors. The Toark Riverk is the perfect place for trade since the river allows for easy passage to the sea. They also have a bank in Teirm and several other places close by. Galeron would continue his life reading several tomes Glabatorix gave him (when he desired, he couldn't be asked to do it.) until his 16th name day. His father called upon his son, and told him to open the chest Galbatorix gave him. Inside was a well covered, round object, and a brightsteel sword. Galeron gently uncovered the spherical object to find out it was a silver dragon egg. Galeron would keep his dragon a secret from his family. He took the small hatchling and hid him in the stables. When the dragon learned to fly and walk around on his own, Galeron would say goodbye to his family. He would get his brightsteel sword, pick his favorite falconry pet (A little bit of backstory: The Aeda family is known to have raised birds of prey as a hobby. They sell many of their raptors, as they are called, to noble houses albeit at very high costs), get food, get a horse, and set out to find a mentor.
Dragon Creation Form
Dragon Bio
Name: Kyr
Side: empire, secretly (for, now but he and Galeron could be convinced to switch sides.
Birthplace: Teirm
Was his/her egg in the wild or with the empire/varden: with the empire
If Dragon Rider, how did the rider find the egg?: Given by Galbatorix
Age: less than a year old
Gender: male
Eyes: blue
Scale Color: silver
Appearance: What stand out most, are his silver scales. They are almost chrome, to the point where they reflect everything around them. They look like the tips of swords. This helps him when he is high above the clouds because the scales reflect the light around, and blend in. The scales are so clear that they could be used as a mirror, albeit a distorted less clear mirror. His piercing blue eyes also stand out, they match the color of his rider. They are not a light blue, they are a very intense dark blue, which makes contrast with his scales. Strangely Kyr has almost no spikes, most likely because he was a descendant of dragons that relied on quick flying. His wings are bigger than that of a normal dragons, this combined with his sleek build gives him maneuverability within the air. The predominant spikes Kyr has are his claws, his claws being pitch black.
Personality: Kyr is a wise beyond his years. When he is older he will show the possibilty to teach very well. Unlike his rider, he worries more about things... Like a normal person should. Thus Kyr pushes Galeron to do things before it's too late. The two work well with each other, and Kyr has the same sense of observation and analytical thinking that Galeron has. This is good in battle scenarios where a tactic can change the tides of battle. Kyr is also a very proper dragon, he treats humans, elves, dwarves, uruks, etc. all alike. He treats them as equals.
--->Likes: Flying as fast as possible, peace, spending time alone (from other people, not Galeron)
--->Dislikes: his riders disdain, people that are scared of dragons, dragons that think they are mightier than humans or elves.
--->Strengths: Thinking, manuverability, analytical thinking, wise
--->Weakness: His wings are a big target for archers, he thinks all people should be treated equal including enemies (this makes him very merciful)
Other: I made some minor changes to the form, just to make Galerons story fit in better. Does anyone know where Galeron might go to get his apprenticeship? I imagine he'd head to the Rider Branches.
