Galeron woke up in the estate given to him by his cousin, Clarissa. Galeron was now used to waking up at dawn, sharp. Aelodil had made him wake up at these hours several times before, and by know Kyr and Galeron were accustomed to it. The white haired boy sat up, shirtless. He moved the sheets from his legs, scratched his eyes and yawned. He threw his legs over the edge of the bed, and stiffened them in order to loosen them up. He pushed himself off the terribly comfortable mattress and looked at his body in the mirror. Aelodil had shaped him well. If not for him he'd be lanky and pale, but now his chest jutted out, as did his shoulders, and his skin began to show a warmer glow due to the countless hours training and running under the sun.
He opened up his mind and searched for his faithful companion among the several entities near the estate. Kyr's mind was high above, on the roof "
Lets go buddy," said Galeron. Just then the the whole roof rumbled, as if in protest. "You know I'm still young. It is said that the younger sleep more than the elderly" "And you know Aelodil and Clarissa won't accept that excuse. C'mon, lets go." replied the Rider. Galeron went through the routine, he put on his training armor, washed his teeth, brushed his long hair, and set out. Just as soon s he opened the door form his room he saw his father peering out the window at the end of the hall. He was looking at Kyr. Galeron went up to him and his father said
"What a strange and magnificent creature. You know, as much as I hate you having to train when there is no need for it, I find it that you've become much more capable and independent. Your cousins have done well." He grabbed Galeron by the shoulder
"God knows I never looked as good as you during my time. I never had the need of grabbing a sword, just paper, ink and coin, that's is all I've known."
"Dad, as much as I love reminiscing about your past, I should get going. Said cousins will get angry if I get there late."
"Ah no need for haste, Galeron. I just received word that the preparations for Fort Altai are nearly over. By the time we get there most of it will be completed. Get ready to leave by noon."
"Remember I have Kyr. I'll leave later if need be. I'll catch up with you on the road if I have to. And if not, I can still get from here to Fort Altai in single day. Goodbye dad, good luck on the journey home". His dad gave him a kiss on the head, and Galeron went off to meet with Clarissa and Aelodil. Galeron strapped in Kyr's saddle and jumped of, spending a short amount of time before Kyr descended near Clarissas estate. Each days the flights got shorter and shorter as Kyr grew at extreme rates. Galeron jumped off and and the guards let him through as always. He smirked rrmembering the very first time he came to meet Clarissa. Then she was a stranger, now she was similar to a big sister. Galeron went up several stairs before he knocked on the door to Clarissa's room. He leaned on a wall waiting expectantly.
