Related to Cannon Characters
If you want your character to be related to a cannon character. ie a cousin, distant relative, etc you must apply for that before posting a bio and wait for approval from staff. This is just to ensure we don't end up with too many unrealistic relations ie Eragon has 10 silbings he doesn't know about isn't going to work. We want to keep things reasonable.
As long as you keep it pretty reasonable staff will most likely accept. The more distant the easier it will be to get accepted. ie a distant cousin of eragon that he didn't know about vs a brother of his. If they are a close relative give a good explanation of how they can fit into the cannon universe.
The same goes for those characters who have a history with one of the cannon characters. ie a mentor or interactions with them. Past history is almost always accepted but you still must apply.

You must be approved by staff to play any of the Cannon Characters. You can only have up to 2 cannon characters at a time. In the case of riders/dragons they must be applied for together and count as 1 character for the purpose of how many you can claim. For example if you apply for Eragon you would be applying for Saphira as well.

If you have been approved you must post with your cannon character at least once a month. Otherwise they will be given to someone else to play. If you give staff a notice of absence this can be extended so you don't loose your character.
On the chance a cannon character is needed but hasn't been claimed staff may either temporarily play that character or temporarily allow someone to play them for that particular thread.
Bios are not required for cannon characters but you can make one if you like after you are approved.
