Well, I've been tossing around the idea of leaving for a long time, and finally decided that now is a very good time to do so. My studies have been terrible due to the fact that I am lazy as hell, and having an easily accessible distraction, the computer, doesn't help matters. And since I'm having my Physics, Chemistry and English provincials coming up in about 20 days, I really should concentrate, get those assignements in if I am hoping to become what I aspire to be. Getting into the Enginnering Department right off the bat isn't easy, and these are all the subjects that are important to that goal. For a long time, I've been resting on my intellect and figuring everything will go alright, but It has come to my attention that, at this rate, it will not work out. Therefore, measures have to be taken to correct this.
Now, I've known this for a while now, but I haven't done anything about it. So, I decided to phase back my online activity. Even that hasn't gone too well, until recently, some impetus has slowly been building up. There has been a recent increase in general site activity and several members are of moderating-team quality. Damien has been here for a fair bit of time and shown a great deal of activity despite her extremely differing time-zone. She has also shown that she can take initiative when she took a head count of the currently ative Riders. She has also exhibited excellent RPing skills.. Narkari is fairly new, but she has also had a great deal of activity and also superb RPing skills. Recently, with her appointment as Battle Moderator, she has shown a great deal of responsibility, taking almost all of the workload on her own shoulders.
Now, I know I haven't been a very nice guy to alot of people lately, mainly because I really am not, but i have been under a fair deal of stress. Hell, I'm 17 and have grey hairs. Still, some people will probably remember me as "that mod who was a real dic|<" (Heck, I probably perpetuated it by by-passing the censoriing system), but really, I don't care. Doesn't matter what people remember me by.
I'd like to thank the people I stuck it out with for more than a year. Top of that list, I'm sure won't come as a surprise, Vavrin. I enjoyed the joke, n00b PMs. God, that was a while back, but it did while away the time. And our fights for control of the GameZone. So many posts came form those. Next, I'd like to thank Vardy. You're innocence and cluelessness were quite amusing. I remember so many times thinking, "How could she not know what that is?" and sometimes so dumbfounded, that I couldn't even come up with a witty remark.
I'd also like to thank some of our newer members. Narkari, the brains were delicious. Damien(I'm putting you here because I've only recently started talking with you), you've got an absurb taste for foods, and amusing stories. Gildor, you seem like you will do alot for Arget. Torin, even though I don't like you, you are fairly active, you've toned down the spamming, so, you could prove useful for Arget, too.
Finally I'd like to thank Danny. You provided that final impetus for me to leave. And you have done stuff for me in the past (I think).
Well, as you can see from all this, I will be completely cutting myself from Arget. I might check up every now and then when I am weak, or to see how the Battle is going. I will miss this site very much, as you can see from my post count, many an idle hour was whiled away here. I was thinking of waiting till I hit 1000, as that was a goal of mine for atleast 7 months now, but, I've thought against it for some reason I haven't quite worked out. Perhaps I am being a little full of myself and likening myself to Sir Donald Bradman. Known as one of, if not THE best batsman. Average 99.something runs in test cricket. He only needed 4 runs in his last game and got out for a duck (zero).
Well, I wish you all the best, and hopefully the battle goes well, which I am confident it will, as it is in truly capable hands. I shall bid you all farewell. Friends, acquaintances and enemies, as well. Goodnight.
