Full Name: Higliospat
Other name: The Phantom Cat of Uru-Baen
Race: Werecat
Side: Neutral
Birthplace: Across the sea on a small island called Un-Zirdon...legend says he swam across in two days and was as dry when he got out of the water as when he got in, but that's probably just talk.
Age: 2564
Gender: Male
Birthday: February 29th
Appearence (cat): Higliospat is a shorthair cat, with a lean body and white hair. His eyes are distinctively blue, and though his appearence isn't all that noticable he does look extremely phantom-like to someone who would take the time to study him...especially in the moonlight. Higliospat's fur and eyes will change colors as well. Most often the case is that his fur will turn black, something that happens when he is trying to go unseen.
Appearence (human): Higliospat appears to retain some of the elf characteristics of his father while in human form, such as the slightly pointed ears, the lean and muscular body, and especially the handsome face. He is a medium sized man with blue eyes, short hair and a small beard. His hair is distinctively white most of the time even though his appearence is that of a young man. Though it is true that Higliospat the man tends to stand out in a crowd, he does not usually appear as a man in crowds. Higliospat's appearence does vary somewhat according to his mood...a prime example being that his eyes become slitted and yellow when he grows angry, or grey when he is unusually calm, or green when he is doing something magical. At other times the color of his hair will change (usually to black or brown) but this doesn't have as much to do with his mood as it has to do with what he thinks looks nice.
Weight: 8lbs
Height: 1 foot as a cat, 5'11" as a man
Length: 2ft (as a cat)
Magic User: yes
Clothing: none as a cat (duh) tunic and pants of varying color as a man.
Preferred Weapon(s): claws and fangs as cat, unarmed combat as a human.
Personality: Extremely conceited, Higliospat believes himself to be smarter than everyone else around him....because he is. Higliospat especially enjoys starting legends about himself, and there was once a time when everyone had heard of the phantom kitten, but no one believed he really existed. Nowadays no one knows those stories anymore....and Higliospat finds himself to be extremely bored. He especially like to switch back and forth from human to cat to play with people's minds, and has been known to make a sport of literally driving people insane. Mad men throughout Allegesia scream about him in the streets, but nobody listens. Of course Higliospat does do good things evey once in a while....he used to lead heros to find their dragon eggs and was a frequent appearence in the dreams of many ancient kings...but mostly he finds that sort of thing incredibly dull.
Likes/Dislikes: He likes dwarves and generally doesn't mess around with them. He really dislikes dragons and elves...humans are ok, but they're also easy targets for his trickery. Higliospat likes warm milk and wars, and is not too easily entertained.
Family: The premises of Higliospat's birth are somewhat odd...his mother was a werecat named Hiliaspat but his father was an Elf known as Filligor. Higliospat was concieved while his mother was taking on a human form, but born while she was a cat. Higliospat was indeed born fully werecat and not some sort of half-breed, but his elf blood does show in human form.
Brief History: Legend holds that in times of peril the Phantom Cat of Uru-Baen (Higliospat) would appear to the kings of old and provide them with the answers to lead their countries through tough times....other tales tell of a phantom cat who guided heros on their quests and gave teachings that even the wisest of men could not understand. And all these things are true of Higliospat....but the majority of his life has not been spent performing heroics, but in mischeif. Higliospat in fact will not discriminate between who is "good" or "evil" and on many occasions has aided both sides in a conflict, often making wars far more dark and dirty than they needed to be. Higliosplat isn't a good kitty...no sir. But he's not exactly evil either.
