history: After his father had been discovered as a spy for the varden in Dras Leona his family was forced to leave and seek shelter from Galbatoix's wrath. The varden were informed and his family was instructed to head through Surda and travel to the Beor mountains.
Traveling was not difficult and they were very safe traveling through Surda. However after they left Surda and were out of its safety travel became quite dangerous.
His family was 5 leagues from the varden's hiding place when a small band of urgals killed his father and brother and mortally wounded his mother. Driven sheerly by her motivation to save her last son she escaped the urgals and traveled the last 5 leagues to the varden. She died minutes after her son was safe and he was then raised by a family that lived with the varden.
His skill with magic was discovered when he was 10 and he practiced as a warrior and magician from then on. He now fights the empire in his family's memory.
