Full Name: Rory Davion
Other name: N/A
Race: Human
Side: Empire
Birthplace: Dras-Leona
Age: Fifteen
Gender: Male
Birthday: 17th October
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Orangey-red, short, choppy and generally very, very messy
Weight: 150-160 pounds
Height: Five foot half
Magic User: Yes, but usually uses only offensive fire-based spells
Clothing: Long, baggy pants, a short-sleeved shirt and a bandanna. Does not wear armor unless absolutely necessary.
Preferred Weapon(s): A sword, plain sliver in color and is often used for his flame attacks.
Personality: Fiery, brave, utterly reckless and stubborn as heck, he hates to lose. He also tends to have a rather dark streak, but it rarely shows. He can be a little naïve and overly trusting at times, which makes him easy to take advantage of. Rory has a very short and sometimes explosive temper, but he can be placated quite easily, and usually with food. Which, obviously, makes him quite the glutton. He is mischievous and just a bit of a prankster, which often gets him into trouble with his superiors. He misunderstands commands rather often, something which can be (and often is) taken as insubordination. He also has a very short attention span, and is far too easily distracted. Often hyperactive, he likes bouncing on his bed when he thinks no-one's watching.
His mind is unprotected and pretty much empty, as even while thinking the thoughts and images that flash tends to be gibberish. Because he lacks control he broadcasts his pain, thoughts and emotions, forcing a kind of empathy on mind-readers and anyone else in his general vicinity.
Likes: He likes fire of any sort, be it the wild, uncontrollable forest fires or the tiny, harmless flames used for lighting. He collects scented or decorative candles, not to light but just to look at. Rory likes shiny objects, like broken shards of mirror, polished stones or coins. His favorite food is cake, and can be easily bribed with that or other sweets. He finds shades attractive, but he doesn't understand why. Galbatorix's voice is, apparently, music to his ears.
Dislikes: He despises fish (for no good reason other than the fact that they taste bad, and is slippery and hard to catch), gambling (always loses) vegetables and whiners. While he does not hate all elves, those with superiority complexes really gets on his nerves. He is wary of other Riders besides the king.
Family: His father's name is Leign Davion(40), on of six generals among Galbatorix's army. His older brother is Mars Davion(19), a knight. His mother is unknown as his father tends to be a bit of a womanizer. Something along the lines of finding a baby on your doorstep with a note attached to it, from a 'girl-which-you-had-sex-with-nine-months-ago'. Both his brother and father are still alive and twitching.
Rory also has several relatives (father's side) serving in the army, and one of his uncles is Mars’ commanding officer.
Brief History: His father was just a corporal when he was born, but Leigh shot up the ranks as Mars and Rory grew older. Leigh and his sons moved to Uru'baén when he was promoted. Both of them joined the army as soldiers, and their prowess with the blade drew the attention of their superiors.
Rory somehow managed to sneak into Galbatorix's fortress when he was ten, and the king has been paying attention to him ever since. Galbatorix found his naiveté and the fact that he was so easy to manipulate irresistible, and Rory was soon smitten by the king's plans for a new world, and is completely in his grasp. He did not back away despite knowing the king's true nature, as he does not mind bloodshed or killing the innocent. He was taught magic by one of the king's sorcerers, Solen (and drives him up the wall), but as he rarely pays attention, the only spell he remembers are fire-based ones, one über powerful explosion which drains enough energy from him to knock him out for a few days if fully charged; and a bunch of little, lower-level-but-good-in-sandy-places explosions. Both he and Mars are completely loyal to Galbatorix, but sometimes end up a hindrance instead of an asset.
Anything extra: Rory's dragon is peach/pinkish-cream in color, and generally answers to 'Peachy'. Officially his name is Altair, but he only answers to that when he remembers. Due to a mix-up when he was born Altair is bonded to three people, Rory, Mars and Solen. The mark on their palms resemble old and faded scar tissue, which doesn't really need hiding at all. Altair grew up around the soldiers as Rory didn't receive the instant promotion that generally came with the dragon, and as a result he is quite friendly and gets along very well with humans. Rory tends to treat him as a pet, not an equal.
Altair is about half a year old and just large enough to ride.
