Nasuada thought about their mission for another moment before smiling at Glaeran and Zander once more. She glanced around at the people around her to see that most of them were watching the dragon that had just entered. It was a good thing that the Varden gained another dragon rider, but yet that also meant even more of their peace was going to disappear. This war didn't seem to make the towns people very happy. In fact, some of them only joined te Varden to ensure safety for their families. Nasuada didn't have much of a problem with why they joined, but she did not want them to have to live in fear. Some of the other humans were terrified by magic and what it can do. Even some of their warrior that fought along side the dragons were horrified at the sight of them. She only wished that she could enjoy the remainder of the feast without worrying, but there was just so much to get done and things just kept going wrong. She reached forward and gently picked up the goblet in front of her. Nasuada took a small sip before setting it back down on the table once more. Then she looked up at the dragon she had been talking to before and smiled once more. Could this feast possibly get any worse? "Lady Nasuada," a voice called from behind her. Nasuada whirled around to see one of the Varden's messengers standing behind her. "M'lady, Eragon wishes to speak with you. He said you should bring the other riders and those who have an important rank as well.""Oh, thank you. Tell him I will be there in a moment, along with the others," she replied with a smile. The messenger bowed and scrambled off to the direction he came from. Nasuada sighed and turned back to the table. She was going to have to leave the feast to go talk to Eragon, but if he wanted to see all of the ranks of importance it must be something worth hearing. [OCC= argetlamrpg.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=feast&thread=1152This is the meeting with the dragon riders, ranks of importance, Nasuada, and Eragon. if you play one od those characters, feel free to join.]

"Just in the kitchen near the wash bin," Caspian said. He carefully balanced his pile while he waited for Sills to gather the remaining dishes. He avoided making any eye contact or looking at the golden dragon hatching. When Sills had gathered up the dishes she headed for the kitchens. Inside was a crazy and chaotic mess. Servents and cooks all tangled up trying to get their work done without messing up someone else.
Caspian followed around the outside of the kitchen to the wash bin. It was the longest route but the least crowded one. When he reached the bin he set down the dishes, careful not to topple the pile or knock over the dishes that were already there. Two girls were standing nearby washing all the dishes that got brought in, the pile of dirty dishes was quiet impressive. One of the girls washing dishes groaned when she saw Sills and Caspian bringing more dishes.

Silis set her pile of dishes down next to the large pile and glanced over at the girl cleaning them. They looked completely miserible. The humanoid really didn't care too much, but by the looks of it they would be cleaning all night just to get these dishes clean. She didn't like humans, and actually hated most of them, but she felt bad that they were going to have to spend most of their night, and possibly some of the next day, cleaning filthy dishes.
"You know, you could just use magic to get these clean," Silis told the two girls. She could tell that they didn't use magic, for if they could they wouldn't be cleaning dishes, but maybe they could find someone who did that could help the. The humanoid couldn't use magic besides turning into an abnormally large cat, but she knew the Ancient Language. Either way, she couldn't help the two girls by themselves. She figured that little tip was enough to at least take half the time out of cleaning the dishes.

Caspian was about to head back out but paused to hear what Sills was saying to the girls. All he got though was an angry look from the cook in charge of the kitchen and a motion to hurry back and continue his job. Without a word he slipped back out to get more dishes. The girl closest to Sills listened but didn't skip a beat in washing another plate. There were too many to just stop and chat. She did have work to do. "Yeah, that would be nice and probably faster. But I can't use magic neither can Emera," she said referring to the other girl washing dishes. "Besides the strength of those who can are needed in the fight. The least I can do is let them conserve their energy and wash the dishes. It's not...that bad," she said. There was a hint of dismay in her voice though. The amount of dishes was over whelming.
Just then Caspian returned with another stack of dishes.

"I kind of figured you couldn't, but maybe someone could help you. It's not fair that you are stuck doing dishes. Silis replied as she looked around the kitchen. As she looked at the cooking staff, she didn't see anyone who looked like they could do magic of any kind. With a sigh, she watched Caspian bring in another pile of dishes.
Silis still couldn't quite believe she was giving humans advice. She had to admit, humans weren't as bad as she thought they were. The thought if being wrong all those years made her fill with anger, but that was probably just because she was so stubborn.
The humanoid continued to glance around the kitchen, but this time she found herself looking at Caspian. What if he could do magic? It wasn't very likely, and if he could he would have no idea what to say. She could at least make him try. Trying was worth something, right?
"Hey, Caspian. You could try and see if you could use magic. There are some humans magicians." Silis said to him as she looked at the unbelievably gigantic pile of dishes. Personally, she thought it looked more like a small mountain then a pile.

The girl nodded at Sills. "Maybe it's not fair, but it's my job and all I can do to help in this war," she said scrubbing another plate. Rising the dish she grabbed another one from the new pile Caspian had brought and washed yet again.
Caspian wiped his hands on a towel. He had gotten some food on his hand from one of the dishes he had brought in. He looked up at Sills shocked. "You're kidding, right?" he said. "I can't use magic. I'm just a serving boy here and before that a farm boy."
At this point no one knew of his status as a Rider. Even he didn't know he was one. So he had no knowledge of the potential he had. For all riders could use magic. His just hadn't surfaced yet and probably wouldn't for some time.
