Glaeran ripped the horse across the back and then roared as he shot up into the air. Surprise is for cowards, just as a dagger to the stomach is. Are you too full of cowardice to attack without taunting a dragon. I will kill you myself, or you will turn yourself in for the threat on me and all the other Rider's in this city. Glaeran soared over the city, waiting for the man to step out of his building. He knew that it was very possible an arrow would fly at him soon, and yet Glaeran wanted to feel the young man beg for mercy as Glaeran readily tore out his throat.
------------------
Zander replied with one sentence and then withdrew enough to not be distracted. Be careful Glaeran. We both know that he can kill you and that he can very likely get away before Shadeslayer can catch him.

Ranger neighed in pain. He dashed into the house. He found Will and neighed painfully. "Ranger!" Will whispered. He cursed the dragon. He healed the horse with a deal of energy, and he took some from Ranger to complete the spell. He cracked a weak smile. This was when magic could come in handy. But it also came with a price. Will was so tired he couldn't shoot with his normal accuracy. He sheathed his sword. He took out his longbow, took an arrow from the quiver, and shot at the opposite end of the house, where it went out the window. He muttered a spell and it turned and shot at Glaerun. It was a distraction to make the dragon think he was at the other window. It also could discourage him.

Glaeran stopped flapping and dropped enough to avoid the arrow. The arrow had come out the window and then turned around, it wasn't possible. Glaeran dropped to the top of the roof and ripped out a portion of the roof, but pulled his head back to avoid the arrows. If Will were really on that side of the house, he would be aiming the bow now. Someone was approaching fast, not fast enough to be a threat but still fast. Glaeran jumped into the air and smashed his tail into the side of the roof, trying to cave it. Little human, can't even fight a young human. Has to threaten another, smaller creature. Wasn't prepared for me to attack, were you? Give up, and go back. There is no need for bloodshed. Only attack was for karma to act.

"Face it! You would kill me as soon as you got the chance. I'm not ready to die just yet! You could leave peacefully if you want to! Like you said, we can avoid bloodshed! But I will not surrender to either be captured or killed by you! I've faced many creatures, but I've never faced a dragon! Let's hope I don't have to kill one either!" Will yelled at the top of his lungs. Will took a step towards the door. Ranger neighed a warning. Will patted the small horse's head. "At least you aren't a mini-horse. Those things are scary," he muttered. Will stepped out the door. He took an arrow out of his quiver, fitted it onto the bowstring, drew the string back, took aim, and fired at Glaerun. He did this all in the span of a second, with the speed and vigilance of an elf. He lowered his longbow and watched as the arrow sailed towards Glaerun.

((Lol, now you have attacked...again))
Glaeran swerved and missed the arrow by inches. He had thought Will would listen to reason, apparently not. Not ready to kill him, Glaeran slowly circled until he was on the roof again. I will not harm someone whom I do not know. You attacked me when I tried to stop you. I do not believe you are an enemy, but a friend. My Rider, Zander, believes you have a different motive. He has been taken prisoner, essentially, by Arya and Lady Nasuada. All because you threatened me with a knife. I ask for your return to show everyone you are peaceful. The horse I attacked is right to tell you not to face me, but I am not your enemy. Glaeran noticed the creature getting closer, it was two creatures. A dragon maybe?

"If you are not an enemy, show me!" Will yelled. He threw his bow aside and laid his quiver beside it. He sat cross-legged on the ground. "Sit beside me for one minute! I'm not sure I can trust you immediately when your Rider accused me of spying and you tried to rip my throat out, and then you say that you don't think I'm an enemy and your Rider thinks that I have different motives! Doesn't that sound a little suspicious to you?" Will yelled. He waited for the young dragon's response. Will had a feeling that he was telling the truth, but he was still a little doubtful. Why would he want the man who had tried to kill him help him? And how could he change his feelings so quickly?

Glaeran thought for a minute and then dropped to the ground. He sat so that he could see Will and the house. This compromise was just that, a compromise. If someone tried to blind side him, they would fail. Directing his attention toward the upcoming people, Glaeran said Do not attack, for there are innocent people near. If you are friends, then land nearby, but do not approach. The human is testy, he could harm you. Glaeran turned his thoughts back to Will There are others coming. I did not ask for reinforcements. If I wanted help, I would have brought Zander. Now, if you attack me with a knife, I will have to defend myself. I am willing to sit and talk. I told the others to stay back. They may not listen, but I will talk to you now. Glaeran renewed his connection with Zander, but something blocked it. Glaeran could sense Zander's general emotions but nothing else.

"Now that I know that you will not attack me, I will help you however I can. I could have attacked you already and one of us would be dead. Anyway, you said something about others following you? That can't be good. Should we fight them?" Will asked. He stood up and drew his longsword, looking around for the other followers. He figured he had been jumping around rapidly in his speech, but he was nervous. He only just knew this dragon, and he knew how smart they were. There could very well be others after him, perhaps even more dangerous than he thought. He had to be careful. "You also said that Zander has been taken prisoner?" Will asked.

Issie was relieved when Arya sent her after the young dragon with Tie. She felt uncomfortable within the feast and had retreated outside to keep guard - Eragon was training and the other riders were off somewhere else. Issie seemed to have been the only rider out that night and Tierar was rather glad to have the air to herself, especially when Issie told her of the young dragon on a rampage. Issie jumped onto the back of the diamond scaled dragon and Tie snapped her wings open, beat them once with a powerful stroke and shot into the air. It didn't take them long to find the dragon and Issie cursed under her breath as the dragon attacked the horse. The poor thin hadn't been the one to blame in all of this. Tierar issued a low growl and closed her wings to her sides, plummeting towards the Earth to intervene. Be careful Tie... Issie warned with a hint of worry in her voice. She had no doubt they could stop the brawl but she was still worried about her dragon being even slightly injured in the fight it could take. When they were a few feet from the house Tierar snapped open her wings and filled them with air, gliding on the current before landing outside, shaking the Earth.
"Eka aí fricai un Shur'tugal," Issie said in answer to Will's comment before jumping from her dragon's back neatly. Tie fixed the smaller, younger dragon with a stern gaze. "My name is Issellamarie," she rested her hand on her belt and not her blade though she could just as easily get to that as well. "I wouldn't advice attacking unless you want Tierar here to get moody, you disturbed her flying session," her bow like lips tilted upwards ever so slightly. "You disturbed the feast, Arya asked me to come and make sure you didn't kill each other," her lips pursed. "I really don't want to have to stop a fight between the Varden after a day like today," Issie said with a frown. Tierar had half crouched and a rumble had started in the back of her throat just to emphasise Issie's words, her diamond scales reflecting the beautiful night sky so each scale beheld inn it a beautiful twinkling star. Such beauty in something so dangerous made Issie glad that Tie was on her side. The dragon, some what amused, blew a pume of smoke over the humans and smaller dragon then sat up and began to groom her scales.

Will pointed his sword at the Rider. We are not apart of the Varden. In fact, I don't think I'm quite as fond of them anymore. Taking a neutral Rider prisoner? I don't think that sounds much better than the Empire!" Will snapped. He studied the possible enemy. A Rider with a fully grown dragon was very powerful. If it came to a fight, the odds weren't good. "Please state any other business here," Will demanded.
OOC: What race is Issie?

Glaeran growled low and persistent. He didn't like the intrusion of another Rider, even though the dragon, Tierar, was beautiful. It was not right to be intruded upon. Will, put away your sword. We do not need to harm these two. Especially since Issie is an elf and Tierar is full grown. Rider, would you please tell me as to what the status is of my own Rider, Zander. Glaeran looked at Tierar when he said her name. The name came out in awe and another emotion, something akin to joy. It was strange considering Glaeran had seen Thorn already. Gracious Tierar, how long have you been paired with Issie? Glaeran said to only his fellow dragon. The dragon that dwarfed him, not as bad as Shruikan would have.

Will heard Glaerun's command. For a second, his hand went slack as he was entranced by the beauty that all elves carried, though he had not been caught by it when he had seen one. Then, he shook himself so that it was barely noticeable and sheathed his sword. Some hidden urge almost made him put on a full on smile with a chuckle to go. Will resisted expertly and settled for a slight one. "I'm sorry about that. I was aware of the fact that a lot of times people that are accused of spying are put to death, so I'm a bit twitchy," Will apologized. He mentally slapped himself. First you get caught by an elf's looks, and now you say a little bit more than "I'm sorry"!? You're letting yourself go. Or am I? he debated. Glaerun, Will thought experimentally, trying to see if he could talk to the dragon in the privacy of their minds. While he waited, he took a mental note on the odds of rescuing Zander. One boy highly trained in archery and decent with a sword and a small dragon against several guards, an elf, the Nighthawks, and the leader of the Varden. Not very good odds, he thought.

Glaeran chuckled in his mind. Even humans could talk within the confines of such a dark place. Never taking his eyes off Tierar and Issie, he said Will, I can hear you. I am shielding this conversation. They may decide to see your mind, so make it quick. The Nighthawks, Riders, Kull, Assorted other soliers. All of them are defending that keep. We may have to go all out. So be ready to fight like Hell. Glaeran bared his teeth for a few seconds. Now that he saw it, the diamond colored dragons were truly blessed.

Hell is exactly where we're going if we don't. Though I don't think we have to fight. If we can convince Nasuada not to see Zander as a threat anymore, he can be released and nobody will have to get hurt. It's not guaranteed though. You have to decide since dragons are known to be wise and most humans are idiots, Will mentally told Glaerun. He rubbed the pommel of his sword nervously. He had installed a spell on it to keep it from breaking as long as he willed it to. Will frowned. Magic would help in this rescue if, but he didn't have enough. There was every possibility that they would die and he would be seen as an enemy in everybody's minds and that would not be a pleasant way to go. He tapped the pommel thoughtfully.

Glaeran blew a smoke ring, since he couldn't breath fire. He thought for a minute and said Dragons are not always wise. A paired dragon will do all they can to save their partner. Zander has been taken, possibly tortured. I am prepared to kill all who stand in my way. If it takes bloodshed, I will fight that way. Yet, you have a point. Nasuada may listen to reason. We would need to both go though. Let's see what Issie and Tierar say. Glaeran looked away and ended the connection, symbolizing the beginning of normal speech.

"Issie," Will began nervously, "We would like to be escorted to the keep so that we can talk to Nasuada. It's very urgent." Will hoped that Issie or Tierar would agree to escort them. Of course, he had left Glaerun to talk with Tierar since they were both dragons. Will had only talked to Issie because he was the only other humanoid there, and also about this nagging feeling he had in his stomach, which was getting increasingly annoying and distorting his judgment a little. For some strange reason, he suspected it had something to do with his trance a minute ago. Will looked at Glaerun and wondered if he had talked to Tierar yet. He pressed mental urge on him that basically meant hurry!

Tierar was not happy with the younger dragon and blew her own smoke ring of disapproval over the smaller dragon then stretched out her wings very slowly while listening to issie's inner conversation with Arya. The rider of the smaller dragon was in no danger, they were simply asking about what he wanted. No wonder the dragon was worried - Arya had cast a strong spell to keep wondering minds away from the keep. Even Issie was having a hard time and Arya was the one controlling the shield. A light rumble came from her throat then as Will spoke.
Taking them there would be unwise but the dragon should be with his rider. He will do more damage away from him,[//color] Tierars blue eyes flickered over the two as she sent her thoughts directly to her rider. With a soft sigh Issie rested her hand on the dragon's snout and rubbed her thumb over the scales in affection. "Zander is not in any harm and I am truley sorry about you worrying so much Glaeran," Issie's voice was rich and calming, containing that soft subtle hint she was a singer. Her own bow like lips slowly turned up at the corners in response to Will's shyness and she gently put a hand on his arm in reassurance. "Arya doubts you will be put to death though," and at this her smile took on a sightly playful edge. "Some would rather have a death sentence than suffer Her Lady's fury," she glanced up to Tierar who rumbled in amusement at the comment and shook herself from head to tail. "I can't take you there.. Glaeran by all means you can go as you are Zanders dragon but it is a private meeting Will, I'm sorry... But I can wait with you till they come back if you wish," she raised an eyebrow slowly.

Glaeran growled low as he heard the news. The growl was not one of anger but one of distaste. To have been kept waiting, it was a disgrace to a dragon. The smoke passed over Glaeran as he replied to Issie I am sorry Issie, my quarrel with the Varden has ended. yet it is also involving Will in this matter. He is in danger because of Zander and now me as well. if I were to leave him, it would not be right. So for this reason, I will stay. Glaeran glanced at Will and sent a thought akin to disapproval. It was not right for him to be so shy of this elven Rider.

Will frowned at the news of not being able to go to and see Zander for himself. He looked over at Glaerun with and arched eyebrow when he said he would stay. And then he rolled his eyes when he got the thought of disapproval. He's right, but I should also respect Issie. She is a Rider, and all I am is basically a peasant. There should be great respect between the two, Will thought. Will looked around for somewhere to sit. When, he didn't see anything, he started to move nearby wood to make a crude chair form. As he finished, words left his lips in a murmur and the chair-like shape was slowly engulfed by earth. Truly exhausted, Will sat down on the earthen mound and whistled. "Sooooo...," he said.

Glaeran received the general emotions of Zander. For some reason, his rider was happy, even though he was beyond the thoughts of Glaeran. Glaeran also heard a little of Will's thoughts. If everyone was rich when they became a rider, there would be way too much deceit and hate between them. Eragon was a poor farmer and had lost his family when he found Saphira. He was no more than a peasant and then he became a rider. Respect is not so different from regular interaction. What you are doing, young Will, is being infatuated with Issie. Just be yourself and not try to win her heart. Glaeran didn't realize that he had projected his thoughts to more than just Will.
