So which one do you think is better? Im around 150 of Eldest and it's excellent so far, but so was Eragon! So I really don't know.

Honestly, I wasn't particularly impressed with the writing of either book, thought it could have been much better, but I did like the story. I kind of skimmed through Eldest for the most part, maybe I should go back and read it again over break, but then again, maybe not. I guess I vote for Eldest.

Not quite 20.. but yeah, I've read some excellent stuff in my time. I'm not saying that I think CP is a bad writer, cause he is a really good one. I just don't particularly like his style all that much.

Urg, uh... earlier, I had said that I couldn't put down Eragon, but with Eldest, I put it down quite a few times. The writing had a lot of detail, I think. Much description that I basically ignored.

I voted Eldest. I really love them both, but the whole "why cant you love me" thing going on with Eragon and Arya is hilarious. Eragon is such a fool sometimes. I really enjoyed Du Weldenvarden, and Eragon's random spaz attacks because of his back.

I like Eldest better, the writing seemed matured. Either way, neither was the best book I've read. Eragon took me five days to read, even though my reading time took like 45 minutes. I put it down a lot, and totally lost interest in it at times.

Eldest did have a lot of detail but that gave me more pages for my reading log i thought it was better than Eragon i hope the next book is from Eragon Murtagh and Arya rather than Roran and Nassuada

I love the Roran parts, they're so...awesome. Im glad CP decided to have them, cuz they're uber cool. I love the feud between Carvahall and the Raz'ac.

I voted bolt the same. Eragon tends to have more action, and moves faster, but Eldest has better writing and the lore is awsome.

Yeah I noticed Eragons really fast too. Very exciting though.

I liked Eldest better but Roran got on my nerves because he is IMHO a copy of Lord Perrin from Wheel of Time. I love Perrin, but somehow a copy just shows a lack of imagination.

Well, he's a better writer than I am, and a worse one than a lot. But both books still rock. I think I liked Eldest a little better, though. Also, the whole books are good, but they aren't overcomplex. I read both books...in 3 days I think. Over Thanksgiving break, anyway.
