You two have been busy...
Vavrin stood as still as an ice sculpture before Yang, her face impassive. What the Twins lacked in magical ability, they more than made up for it with their heightened senses. She reached out to Nihael with her mind, a tendril of thought slithering up against his familiar conciousness.
Yang knows. How amusing.
Her eyes bore into Yang's blank ones as he seemingly stared at the both of them, focused on their scent."Very perceptive of you, Yang. Although "busy" is quite an understatement," she said, her voice smooth, but unmistakably harsh. Though her mind was impregnable to the Twins, she was pleased that graphic details could not be cross-examined in any manner. It was bad enough when Lord Galbatorix would riffle through her mind, all her mind tainted and made accessable at any time to him. It made her skin crawl just thinking about it. So it gave her extreme pleasure in relishing the most delicious memory all to herself. Vavrin crossed her arms over her chest as she looked over Yang's shoulder at the burning boat.
Its too bad they werent still on it when it exploded.
A growl emanated from the back of Vavrin's throat. "Get out of my face. I have nothing further to say to you."

Yang smiled slightly, staring down at Vavrin. Still upset with Yang, I see, Yin said, stepping between the two. He stepped back, pushing Yang away as well. He tossed a bottle of wine, wrapped with a pink bow, to Nihael, and held two pairs of long glasses in his hands. Spoils from the ship, part of the winery and not of the stock.
Yang turned from the group and walked towards the city. I hope you two at least prepared an inn, Yang said, removing the sword from the sheath on his back. If you two have nothing planned, then we need somewhere TO plan.
And a drink for a job well done, I suppose, Yin said with a laugh, slipping the glasses against his belt.
None for you, brother... Yang said quietly. We may need the inn to sleep in tonight.

Nihael felt the tendril of Vavrin's consciousness slide against his and he let her in, leaving her with access to his memories of the time they spent in the inn. He let her roam there as he sent a thin tendril to her mind, gently probing.
"Didn't get enough sleep on the ship? I would have thought you would have spent a fair bit of that voyage asleep, with the amount of time it took."
He soon felt another presence in his mind, only this one was ompletely incorporated with his own.
Are we moving on, now that those two are here?
I don't believe so. they seem to want to spend the night before we move on.
One would have thought they had slept enough.
That would be the logical thought progression, but apparently not to them.
I'll stay out here for one more night then. And stop letting that creature in. It is like having an eel rubbing against my mind. [/i]
Ignoring the last statement, he broke the connection with Onyxia with the slight effect of a rubberband snapping.
Removing the bow, he let it drop to the floor before he continued speaking. "Any Inns, you have in mind, that we could stay at?"

We do not require sleep, Yang said, looking around. We require a plan. We have no horses, and we have no route.
Anyway, Yin said, walking past the two. It seems like you two should be the ones who require the rest. I doubt you had much sleep, if my brother and I assumptions are correct.

"If it is an inn you want so badly, then follow me. There is another I know of that is not far." she said finally. She began to walk away from the docks and back to an average-looking inn build right on the outskirts of the city. It looked sort of short and squat, but it wasn't as small as it looked on the inside. A few people that looked like sailors stood outside the inn chatting and sipping their ales.
Vavrin maintained her connection with Nihael as she entered the building, scanning the half-drunk but cheerful faces in the room briefly, looking for an available place as she found a suitable long table with benches on either side to seat all four of them. The chatter was moderate, either way she wasn't paying attention. She took her seat on the bench and waited to be joined by the others not far behind. Vavrin clasped her hands in her lap as she mentally enveloped herself in their shared memories. She smirked inwardly as she revisited the moment that left her a long, thin scar beginning from her ribs and sloping down to her stomach. On the surface Vavrin appeared composed, her dark eyes hooded. Underneath she was bubbling over with lust, only detectable and perfectly obvious to Nihael. She expressed her fondness of the marks he gave her to him via their mental link, commending his skill with a dagger.

Yin entered the room soon after Vavrin, sitting across from her, followed by Yang. Yang removed a dagger from his sleeve and slammed it into the table. Got your attention, Vavrin? Yang asked, his deep voice echoing in her mind.
Yin's eyes widened slightly and stared into space. He stood up quickly and walked away. The King summons, his voice said in almost a whisper. Yang stared blankly at Vavrin, his hand gripping the dagger and removing it from the table, a large hole taking it's place.
We require horses, Yang said, slipping the dagger back into the sheath in his sleeve. Yin managed to capture enough fish for the both of us for about a week, and you two can perform your own hunting well enough.
His blank eyes moved quickly looking over at Vavrin. The blind eyes traveled from her shoulder down to her stomach. Perhaps some bandages as well.

For a moment her thoughts were interrupted. Vavrin shifted her dark eyes to the hole in the wooden table, then back at Yang. "You said something...?" She tilted her head in mocking curiosity, thoroughly grasping the gist of what he'd said.
Vavrin placed her hands upon the table calmly. "So, Lord Galbatorix summons. Wonderful," she said, her lips contorting into the fakest of smiles. Again, she let her mind drift away. Galbatorix was the least pressing matter. True, it had been a while since he was last in contact, and she with him. But she didn't let it weigh on her mind in the least.
Moments passed and her expression turned blank once more. Her pale face was motionless, and she didn't even blink, as she was still in the critical gaze of Yang. The word 'bandages' flitted through her mind. Her mind puzzled momentarily as to the need for such things. She spoke slowly, her tone low but not quite soft. "Staring is rude and makes me think you have not been fed. Please stop." Vavrin blinked serenely, and waited for him to quit it.

To stare at you hungrily would imply that you have something I want, Yang stated. To which would not even be a fathom of the truth.
Yin reentered the room and stood to the side between Vavrin and Yang. Did Vavrin just say please? Yin asked. Don't mock her, brother, I'd enjoy her being sincere more often, and that is no lie.
Yang looked away from Vavrin and back at Yin. What news from Galbatorix?
Yin kicked a seat away from the table and sat in it. He asks for Nihael to return to the empire, Yin said with a slight smile, looking at Nihael. Along with his pet dragon. And then he requests that the rest of us return to Gil'aed.
Again? Yang asked with a curious eye. What is it that we must do there?
We will learn when we get there... at least the three of us will. Nihael, on the other hand, must leave immediately.

Vavrin rolled her eyes. "Gilead again?" she said with a sigh. "So be it. Did you two want to spend the night here before we leave? Because I'm ready to go now."
She stood suddenly from her seat and crossed her arms over her chest. She saw no need to dally around any longer. Though she wondered why though Lord Galbatorix would want herself and the twins to return from where they began, however.

We require no rest, Yang stated, grabbing his sword and standing up.
Though we do require supplies, Yin said, tapping his staff on the table. He turned and headed towards the door. You two collect the inanimate objects we may require; I will get the mares.
Yang nodded and said nothing more, following Yin quietly. He stood by the doors and waited for Vavrin. Bandages, water, and a few other mediocre things, Yang said, watching Vavrin. Do you require any other items?

Vavrin paused beside Yang on her way out. "No, I'll go alone. I dont require anything else. Be back in a flash." And with that, Vavrin disappeared down the street, with a particular store in mind that had all the things mentioned.
It wasnt much of an effort getting the bandages, a few pieces of fruit, and other small items one might need like spare rope. Vavrin pilfered it all, stuffing it in a leather bag she picked up as well. She flashed her grin at the shopkeeper as she layed her hands on the canteens of water and hoisted a few in her sack. She inclined her head in a small nod as she swaggered away.
Vavrin headed back the same way she came, with the intentions to meet up with the twins outside of the inn. She waited there, noshing on a berry or two.

Yang watched Vavrin as she left, not wanting to follow her nor his brother. He looked around and walked out of the inn.
Yin walked to the stables and moved past the stable boy. He passed sets of horses without looking at them, and grabbed one by his ropes, pulling him forward. The stable boy followed, protesting at Yin, who ignored him in return. Brushing another horse, Yin patted it and grabbed a few items off the wall, placing it onto the horse. I will be taking these three, Yin told him. He threw him a small bag of coins and moved past the boy. That should amount satisfy your greed.
Yin arrived soon after Vavrin, watching her eat some of the berries. Yang jumped off the roof of the inn, unbeknownst to Vavrin that he was sitting above and behind her. He landed with a soft thud behind Vavrin and moved past her. We are ready then? Yang asked, placing a saddle on his horse. He placed some of his things on the side and then hopped onto the horse. Let us proceed, shall we?

Vavrin popped the last berry into her mouth and saddled up her horse, tossing the bag at Yin to take care of. Once mounted, she took the reins in her fist and made the horse turn slightly. "Yes, lets." Vavrin gave the horse a slight nudging with the toe of her boot and started to trot out of the city gates.
Clouds had begun to scatter across the sky, and she gazed up at them as she maintained a brisk pace. It felt good to feel the air whipping the locks of hair from off of her shoulders. Giving the horse another nudging to hasten the speed, she closed her eyes briefly, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. Vavrin opened her eyes once again and focused on the horizon.
