"Finally, i'm going to get some action around here", said Velethelin, as he finished loading up his horse with equipment. For the past few weeks Du Vrangr Gata was not needed much for any of the missions that the Varden were currently working on. But recently, the higher-ups have found out that there are spies of the empire in Surda, and they are magic users that are trying to find out Varden plans. Velethelin remembered that night two days ago, when Trianna walked into his room. He was always mesmerized by her beauty whenever she was in the room, but the were no words for what he felt like when she entered his room alone in the middle of the night. Though he was so lovestruck, he managed to keep his head and recieve his orders from her without making himself look stupid. "You came to the right person, not to brag but I believe myself to be the most qualified in all of Du Vrangr Gata to take on this mission , besides yourself of coarse".
He knew it was a bold statement to make but why else would she have come to him and not anyone else?
Snapping back to reality Vel realized that he needed someone to accompany him on this mission. He thought about who he should take and he said out loud, "I'm definately not taking anyone from Du Vrangr Gata, they're all so.......boring. I guess I'll just have to find someone else who actually has some sort of personality because I am not going to travel alone and be bored the whole time". Vel mounted his horse and gave him directions in the ancient language. Together they rode to one of the most popular taverns in all of Aberon to look for a travelling companion.

Gravile sat on a chair he felt a hand on his shoulder it was the bouncer
"We don't want any of your kind here," gravile looked at him annoyance played across his features
"Kindly take your hand off my shoulder sir," he asked his courtesy common of that of an elf
"As soon as you beat it elven scum," the bouncer looked at him he tightened his grip on graviles shoulder
"If you do not comply I am afraid I am going to have to hurt you sir," the bouncer sniggered and charged Gravile sidestepped it and kickflipped him through the door
"I am sorry but next time you will understand just do as I say,"

After trying a few taverns and having no luck at all, Velethelin was ready to give up his search when he sensed a powerful prescence whose mind was reinforced by many mental barriers. Feeling that his luck was about to change he went towards the prescence. Just as he turned the corner of an alley, he saw a rather large man fly through the door of a pub, and to his surprise, an elf followed him out. He saw the elf bend over the man and quietly say something to him and then calmly walk away. Velethelin's heart was racing, the only elf he knew to be around these parts was Arya, and he hasn't even seen her. The thought of meeting one of his own kind excited him and scared him at the same time. Dismounting his horse, Velethelin said "Blothr" and made his way on foot to catch up to the elf, who was nearly out of site. Thinking of what to say to the first elf he has ever met, he nearly bumped into him while lost thought. The first words that came up were," so, your're an elf huh?"

Aileen turned around and looked at the fellow elf adressing her. Yes sir, I am. She said wondering how many elves he had seen outside of Du Weldenvarden.Aileen let her eyes wander over his figure a bit, even though the reason she had just gotten thrown out of the tavern was because a man wouldn't stop hitting on her so she hit him. Eyes were perfectly harmless she felt.She then continued. My name is Aileen, and yours is? She said now looking him straight in the face.

Well I uh.....my name is Velethelin, nice to meet you. You around here often, cause I've never met an elf before" He couldn't help examining her, she was so stunning, yet gave off an aura of power and passion. She had eyes that were full of wisdom, and yet had some playfulness to them. He immdiately knew that he wanted to get to know this elf, It had been far too long not knowing his own people. Mustering up some courage, Vel asked, ""Would you maybe want to...if you're not to busy, get something to eat with me?

Aileen smiled. Nice to meet you Velethelin.Yes I am here often,I work for the varden .And yes I would love to get something to eat with you.Although she was able to travel to Du Weldenvarden alot she wasn't able to stay for long periods of time and so hadn't stayed long with her own kind for long periods of time but still had met plenty but none like Velethelin. He had the looks of an elf ,though did not act like one it seemed.His eyes,were like none she had seen before,both blue and purple.They were beautiful.

" I may not know to much about elves, but I do no that they do not like meat, which is totally the opposite of how I was raised, by Dwarves you know. Biggest meat eaters in all of Alagaesia you know....hehe.." Velethelin noticed the way Aileen was looking at him, it made him feel nervous, but also happy at the same time. " Do you uhh...have any specific places in mind?" Calling his horse to him by his mental link, he eagerly waited for an answer from Aileen.

She looked down at the ground,noticing how nervous he was.In a way she found it ...adorable.Well I do know that the tavern I just got thrown out of has great food. She said teasingly.But there's another place down the street called the Red Dragon. It's just as good. And has pretty good ale.

Telling the horse to follow them in the ancient language, Vel bid Aileen to show the way. Totally enamored by the emotions he was feeling towards meeting one of his own kind, Velethelin forgot all about the reason he was wandering the city in the first place. As they were making their way towards the tavern, Vel said"Aileen, what sort of work is it you do for the Varden? I myself am quite adept in magic, and am one of the most talented members of Du Vrangr Gata." He noticed that he sounded a little pompous when he said that and immidiately regretted it, he felt that he was going to make a bad impression.

She giggled when he told what he did. To her it seemed he was just trying to impress her and it was cute. Well they actually use me in the council and am a courier and also as a magic and sword and bow women when needed.She said looking over at him and smiling. They soon came to the Red Dragon and so she entered and quickly found a table and sat down.

Velethelin followed Aileen to a table and sat down across from her. A waitress came over to take their order as soon as they sat down.
To respect the other elf's customs Velethelin odered a large loaf of bread, some fruit, and a jug of the best ale they had."Considering I asked you if you were hungry, I am taking care of the expenses for this meal, so you get whatever you want" To make up for his previous comment about his job, Velethelin wanted to redeem himself by paying for the entire meal, he thought that it was the right thing to do.

Aileen ordered Ale,a loaf of bread and some fruit, in other words the same thing he was having. When he offered to pay she smiled and answered. Thank you but thats not necessary.

"If you feel that you don't want to be payed for that is your choice"said Velethelin, somewhat disappointed. He was thinking to himself about his good fortune to be able to meet one of his own kind. Then he remembered the reason why he was out looking around taverns in the first place. He cursed himself for being so forgetful to his duty, and remembered his promise to Trianna. "So Aileen, are you working on any missions for the Varden at the moment"? Asked Velethelin casually. Right before she answered, the waitress brought their food and Vel grabbed his ale and took a long swig.

Aileen took a strawberry and ate it.No I'm not, actually I had just finished my last mission.Why? She said before taking a swig from her ale. She then wondered if it was such a good idea to be drinking while with him,since she did find him attractive he could easily seduce her if she was drunk.She took another swig from her drink and looked around the tavern to see if anyone was looking at them in particular.

As soon as Aileen said she wasn't on a mission, Vel could barely contain his excitement. He really needed someone to join him on his mission, and he wanted someone who wasn't boring. This person was definately not boring, she was nice, beautiful, and an elf> Velethelin couldn't have dreamed for a better partner. But the trick was to get her to accompany him, she just met him after all. Velethelin scanned the room to make sure no one was listening to him and he said, "Well it just so happens I am on a mission for the Varden right now. It is that very reason that I was in town and around the taverns. The thing is, I am looking for someone to accompany me, there are spies from the Empire in Surda, and they happen to be magically talented. That is why I was appointed to do this mission, because I am also pretty magically talented, as I put it so bluntly earlier". said Velethelin, trying not to laugh. " What I am trying to say is if you would like, would you accompany me on this mission. You are obviously a good fighter and a reliable person, and I would need someone to watch my back after I use magic, because I can get quite fatigued. So what do you say"?] Velethelin is known to be convincing, but that is when he deals with humans and such. For the short period of time that he has been in this elves prescence, its like he's a different person. No longer the cocky energetic person he usually is, but a humbled quiet person that is entranced by something that he could only imagine about. But here she was sitting in fron of him, an elf that was about to answer the question that he so very much wanted to be answered by "yes". Time seemed like it stopped while he was waiting for her reply.

Aileen smirked and thought about what he was asking of her.Of course it didn't take long for her to think about. Sounds fun. She said sarcasticly.I'd love to.She was glad to know that she was going to get to spend more time with Velethelin and be able to get to know him better.Every moment she spent with him it seemed she learned something else about his personality that she liked.

Velethelin was thankful that Aileen would accompany him, he wanted to get to know more about her, and Du Weldenvarden, and what elves were really like. It made him feel good to know that he was going to spend more time with Aileen. Finishing his ale, Velethelin wiped his mouth and looked at Aileen. She looked just as interested in his as he was in her, which made him feel strange. "So...Aileen, what types of weapons do you use and can you use magic? I need to find these things out so I'll know how compatible we'll be during a fight." Velethelin hoped that she wasn't offended that he got down to business right away.

Aileen smiled again. She found that around him she was doing that quite often.Well I'm good with the sword,bow and I have a dagger hidden on me. And yes I use magic.She said putting it so she was hopefully not bragging.She quickly finished her ale and then took a bite of her bread then looked over at Velethelin and smiled. She could really get used to the way she felt around him.

Vel thought about what he was going to do next while he ate his last piece of bread. He then remembered about the feast and thought that it would be a good idea to go before he started his mission, not that it was going to be too unpleasant now anyway. "You have heard about the feast haven't you? I was thinking about going because I already have my supplies ready so I have a little free time on my hands. I would ask you to come but I assume that you'll have to take care of some things before we set out. And you don't have to bring any food or supplies because I packed enough for two. Do you prefer traveling with a horse because we may need to divide all the supplies up among the horses, so one is not too overburdened.....am I talking too much?"
