Velethelin felt the magic drain out of his body and knew that Aileen needed help. He was almost at the crossroad, and he immediately knew that harm was the intention of the being whom lay just ahead. He placed a few barriers on himself and pushed his horse to the limits.
In the distance he saw Aileen, and a man who was approaching her. All he saw next was a blur of movement and then Aileens horse fell to the ground. Quickly approaching the spot where the two faced off, Velethelin jumped off his horse an ran as fast as he could towards the man, who was about to strike Aileen with his sword. Getting there just in time, Vel blocked the mans blow and was surprised at the force that was put into the attack.
"Did you miss me?" He said to Aileen, without looking at her. He then looked at the man and said,"you're a big lookin fellow aren't ya? What are you doing attacking this fine lady for hmm? He put his sword in a ready position in case of a sudden attack.

Kane hated to miss. He now grew impatient. HE yelled at the other elf, "I am Kane rider of Craven. I was trained by the one and only durza and I will kill you for your insulents." He then ingaged in battle with the elves.
Craven I need you.
I am comming young one. If they harm you I will pick my teeth with their bones.
The battle coninued onward. Suddenly Craven appeared in the sky. HIs fire rain down on the battle feild.

Aileen smiled at Velethelin appreciativly.Of course. She said to him right before Kane began attacking them. She parried each blow easily and attacked each chance she could. She ignored the fire raining down and just focused on killing this man.

This savage man that they were facing was powerful, but he lacked technique. With his elven agility, Velethelin was able to dodge most of his attacks, and parry the rest. Velethelin felt like they had the upper hand in this battle until something unexpected happened, a dragon burst from the clouds and started raining fire down upon them. "Doesn't he know that he'll hurt his rider too?" Velethelin thought to himself.
Most of the fire missed and their barriers blocked the rest, but Velethelin knew that this battle was futile. There was no way they could take out the rider AND his dragon, they would have to stall the two enemies long enough to make an escape. "But how" said Velethelin in his mind. Then he got an idea. While blocking the blows that the enemy rider was bringing down on him, Vel said to Aileen using his mind,"try to hurt the rider as fast as you can, from what I've heard, the dragon and rider share a connection, and if one is hurt, than so is the other. If we are able to get a good hit on the rider, than the dragon will most likely not follow us."[/i]
He saw Aileen nod out of the corner of his, then he reached into the pool of magic in his mind and muttered "Brisingr" and shot a ball of purple flames towards the rider. This was only a distraction however, and Velethelin charged the rider and feigned to the left, then attack from the right side, swiping his curved sword across an unprotected part of the riders body.

Aileen followed Velethelin's command and quickly began going through a very techincal routine of sword manuevours that the man couldn't possibly defend, he would go down and he would be in plenty of pain, which were exactly her intentions.

Kane tried to dodge the blows, however one struck him in the side and knocked the wind out of him. He suddenly heard a roar from the sky when Craven came charging downward. Craven grabbed the female elf and threw her then picked up Kane and did a maneuver that allowed Kane to get onto his back. Together they both struck hard and fast. They could fall alone but never when they were together they told themselves. This was Kane's main flaw he was to arrogant. He now had to kill elves or they would blow his whole operation. He thought back to his training with Durza and summoned a dark and evil spirit.

OOC: no you'd be too powerful
Aileen fell to the ground feeling immense pain in her side. She got up, ignoring the pain and kept trying to fight off both rider and dragon as best she could now. She looked over at Velethelin to see how he was doing quickly when she had the chance so Kane wouldn't have the chance to hurt her when she wasn't paying attention.

((I'm not posting right now, I just wanted to say, and this is constructive critiscism, that our rp is getting a little messy. We need to go into more detail, and spell check cause there are a lot of mistakes. Like instead of just saying we're fighting, lets describe it more. I'll post soon or after the next, just got some writers block and a load of homework. You guys can still post if you want.))

"Great, now what do we do?" said Velethelin when the rider mounted his dragon. Velethelin ran over to Aileen and stood behind her. He saw that the rider was circling above them and knew that this was going to be their last chance to escape.
"Aileen, this is going to be our last chance....I know of a spell that will temporarily blind both the rider and his dragon, but they need to be extremely close. When they start to dive towards us, I want you to run to the horse. When you mount him, tell it to close its eyes, and you do the same, understand?"

Aileen simply nodded her head and waited for the rider and dragon to come closer. Instead of waiting to tell the horse she told it to close its eyes when she mounted it while she waited it .

After watching Aileen move towards the horse, Velethelin watched the rider get ready to descend. Dipping into the magic that filled his conscience, Velethelin prepared the spell that would either be his escape or his death.
Suddenly the dragon lowered its head and started its descent towards Velethelin, whom was standing as idle as a statue on the flat expanse of land below. Forming the words that he would need to speak in order to initiate the spell, Vel knew that it would drain his energy considerably. Watching as the dragon got closer and closer, Vel waited until the last second to release the magic he had stored inside him.
"it's now or never" Vel said to himself as he felt the intense wind from the dragons wings surrounding his body.
Velethelin yelled "Gedwet Kopa" and a large burst of bright white light emanated from his entire body. Not wasting any time, Vel sprinted towards Aileen and the horse and mounted. He told Aileen to ride as fast as she could and then he blacked out.

Aileen mounted quickly and kicked the horse into a full on gallop. She soothed the horse by mind speak as they got further from the dragon, telling it they would get further from the dragon. Aileen looked back and saw Velethelin passed out. She reached back and took his hand ,to make sure he didn't fall.

As Kane and Craven desended towards the two elves the male elf used magic and blinded him and Craven with light. The two came crashing down. After a moment Kane regained his balance and then used his mind and reached out for signs of life. he felt the elves and ran after them with his blade. He had an advantage over this minor disability. Kane had practiced dayly with useing his mind to see for him. Kane also used Cravens sence of smell and now they where just as strong if not better because they could not be fooled by there eyes. Kane jabbed with his blade and peiced the male elf in the shoulder. "You will regret ever trying that spell." Kane yelled out as he felt the Elves pain.

((Wow this has been inactive! I decided to try and revive our rp seeing as I am so inactive on Arget because I have nowhere to rp. But me and Aileen MUST escape if this RP has any hope of continuing k?))
Velethelin gained conscienceness as soon as Kane had stabbed Aileen. Not waiting for even a second, Velethelin drew his sword and struck Kane on the side of the head with it. Knowing that she was their only possible way of escape, Velethelin used his last bit of energy to semi-heal her wound, even though he knew it would be dangerous for himself.
"Aileen, take this energy, you are the only way we can escape." said Velethelin with a hoarse voice.
A bit of white energy left Velethelins hands and made its way towards Aileens wound. Once again his whole world went dark.

Aileen's shoulder was on fire, it eased slightly when he healed it so she tried to push it to the back of her mind. She took the energy and looked about them for where Kane was. She kicked the horse to go faster, if possible, although at this race it would die if they keep pushing it so hard.
