Aileen laughed.First of all,if I remember back to the first thing you said, thank you, I look forward to fighting alongside you also.Also no I don't prefer a horse though I do know how to ride and yes, I do have to take care of a few things while you go to the feast. She said giggling. It was almost like everything he did was trying to impress her,which she found adorable.

"Okay thats great, I guess I should get going now, if I want to make it to the beginning of the feast. Meet me back here first thing tomorrow and we will begin our........hunt,"he said with a grin. Velethelin finished up the last of his fruit and put the gold on the table that he owed for the meal. He said goodbye to Aileen and made his way towards the door. When he got outside he noticed that it was still sunny out, and that it would be perfect conditions to go the celebration. He called his horse to him and lazily made his way towards the feast grounds.

Aileen finished her own meal then set down her own coins for what she owed the waiter .She then got up and left and went in the direction of the shops to look around. She didn't have any plans to buy she just wished to look but she also was friends with a few of the shop owners and so went in to have a nice chat.

Velethelin awoke suddenly and was startled to see how high the sun was in the sky. He knew he shouldn't have stayed and the feast for so long but he couldn't help being such a social person. He wasn't going to be late for his rendezvous with Aileen, but he wouldn't have much time to get ready. He got dressed and put on his purple battle robe, but did not put on his armour. Walking out into the mid-morning sun refreshed Velethelin, and he no longer seemed so tired. He packed all the equipment onto his horse and mounted. He directed the horse to the tavern that him and Aileen were at yesterday.
While on the way, he couldn't help but think that they were going to encounter someone powerful on this journey, he just hoped that him and Aileen were skilled enough to face this person. Lost in though, Velethelin realized that he was already at the tavern. He tied up his horse and went inside. It seemed that Aileen had not arrived yet.

Aileen had been talking to one of her merchant friends when she realized how late it had gotten. She quickly said her goodbyes and left for the tavern. When she got there she entered and noticed that Velethelin was already there and so walked over to the table he was at.

Velethelin saw Aileen approach and he was glad that she didn't reconsider about coming. When she sat down, Velethelin said "I have changed my mid about staying in Aberon, yesterday at the feast there was an attack by two shades. I believe they were the spies here so it would be pointless to stay here now that they are gone. We should probably head to Lithgow first, and then make our way from there. I trust you brought everything you need? And what about a horse, we must travel fast."
Velethelin did not like to start their meeting with business so quickly but this mission was important, and although he like to have a good time, Velethelin did not slack when it came to his work. He called a waitress over and ordered a pint of ale to start off the morning. "Would you like anything Aileen?" He asked.

Aileen ordered a pint of ale also. Then looked over at Velethelin.That sounds fine. I doubted any spies would be in te capitol anyways.And yes I have brought all I need. My horse is in the stables nearby.She answered politely.She didn't mind getting down to buisness. She understood that time was of the essence.

"Shall we go then", said Velethelin, not so much a question as it was an invitation. He placed a few coins on the table for the ale, and made his way toward the door. "The first thing we shall do is go get your horse, then we start the journey to Lithgow. Another thing, when we are in cities and talking about any plans, we must only converse in our minds. This will protect us from anyone who is listening, though not much help against magic users, but thats what our barriers are for".
He emerged from the dreary interior of the tavern and felt the warm embrace of the noon sun. With a smile on his face and adventure on his mind, Velethelin knew this journey would be interesting.

Aileen stood up and also put down a few coins. She followed Velethelin to the door. So when we are in cities we will look just look like a very quiet couple?She asked teasingly.When she stepped out of the tavern she headed left and walked a bit to the stables. She told the stableboy what she was there for so he wouldn't think she was stealing the horse because since she was here she had only come to visit her horse as much as she could which was about once a day. She went to horse, Valiant's stable and he quickly moved to the front of the stall noticing her scent. Aileen patted his neck Hey boy!We're going for a trip. She said in his mind which made him whinny. Aileen quickly got his tack and saddled him. She brought him out. Alright. All ready She said to Velethelin.

Velethelin nodded at Aileen, and together they rode to the city gates. Once outside the city, Velethelin Told his horse to keep up with a fast pace for as long as it could. Vel rode for a while in silence, but he grew impatient with the lack of communication and used his mind to communicate with Aileen.
"Tell me Aileen" said Velethelin. "What is Du Weldenvarden like, and our people. I want to know everything! What of the plants and animals, the houses, the songs, leave nothing out!An unending curiosity has attacked my mind for too long, it twists and turns inside my head everyday."

Aileen laughed at Velethelin's intense enthusiasm. Well the houses are actually sung out of the trees...She said and commenced telling him all about their people and Du Weldenvarden.Every once in awhile she would look over at him and see the most curious face and just couldn't help but giggle and so would continue filling his mind with knowledge of his people.

Kane waited for his informents to come they where late again and they would be punished. He had to get the information back to the capital. He hated not being able to go in and fight, but it would blow there cover. He had no choice but to wait. It was growing late and Kane noticed two Elves approching. He felt the urge to kill. He wanted nothing more than to strike them dead, but still he waited.

((O.O.C- sorry for the somewhat undetailed post guy, I have to do some chores..  . I'll touch it up later.)) Everything that Aileen said, made Velethelin want to ask more questions. His mind was so entangled with all the stories of his people, that he did not even notice the overwhelming power that was surveying the two elves at that very moment. He noticed that he had been transfixed by the stories, and immediately snapped out of it. He privately scolded himself for not being more aware, and he focused his mind on the road ahead. This was when he sensed a power far greater than his own for only a very brief moment. Aileen, there is a massive power up ahead, we have to be cautious, I don't know if it's a threat or not. |

Aileen stopped her tale abruptly and looked farther up the road to find out if she could see anything.She could. So what do you think we should do? Just act natural? She asked keeping her calm easily. She found it hard not to reach for her sword hilt though.She looked over at Velethelin and back down the road.

Kane continued to wait. He would spring out at the right moment. As the two approached him he readied himself for a fight. He grasped his sword and reached out with his mind.
Craven do you hear me? I need you to stay hidden we have company.
Yes I hear you. Summon me if their is two much trouble.
That won't be necessary.
Be safe young one.
You too.
Kane reached the horses mind and found where they had come form. He reached for his magic and placed wards upon himself.

((I didn't see your post, thats why mine doesn't go along with yours. Can you make it so you follow Aileen, then I come to help? Like follow for a distance then attack.))
Velethelin smoothed his features and looked down toward to forked road the they were about to come upon. "Just look natural yes, but focus with you mind, not your eyes. I think it would be best if we split up for now, and then meet up when the road connects, which is about 20 miles from here". He looked at Aileen, and even though they had only recently met, he felt a connection with her, and he did not want any harm come to her. Reaching into his pack, Velethelin pulled out his small amethyst and muttered a few words.
The stone shone with a distinct white glow for a few seconds, then returned to normal. He handed the stone to Aileen and said, "take this, if you are put in any danger, just say "Eom Eka", and I will come to you as fast as I can".
And with that he rode off, leaving Aileen to take the right road. He hoped that Aileen would be safe, and that the stranger, enemy or not, would follow him. Without looking back, Velethelin wished Aileen good luck, and put a few defensive wards on her, just in case.

Aileen listened to him and pocketed the stone. She then watched him go for a moment before she galloped down the right road hoping Velethelin really would meet her at the connection. She quickly got to where she was headed and halted the horse. Aileen then quickly dismounted and waited for Velethelin and looked about her.

kane quickly followed the female elf. When she stoped. He jumped out of hiding and struk with his sword. The elf moved back and Kane killed the horse instead. Kane now regaining his balance turned to the elf and in the ancient language said, "Who are you and what are you doing here?"

Aileen quickly took out the and whispered Eom Eka. She then took out her sword and answered the man. I believe the question should rather be, Who are you and what are you doing here? I was just going on my way when you just brutally killed my horse! She said angrily.

"I am the man who will be the last person you see before you die." Kane yelled back to the elf. He then readied his fighting stance. Soon he struck the first blow, strikeing the elf just below the rib cage.
