It was early in the morning, the sun itself had yet to rise. Looking over a bunch of supplies that she had laid out on a table, with only a single candle lit for light. It had taken her about a week to gather all this stuff, and she rather not waste anymore time.
Knapsack: Check Bedroll: Check Flint and Tinder: Check Waterskin: Check Rope: Check A few torches: Check A 10 Day supply of dried rations (which consisted of mostly fruits and vegetables): Check Several Maps of Alagesia: Check A couple books on the plants and animals of Alagesia: Check A Few spare sets of Clothes: Check Her Sword, Armor, and Cloak: Check, Check, and Double Check
"Well, it seems I have I need." She said to herself as she looked at her heavily packed knapsack, "Or, at least, everything I can take with me." She then sighed deeply as she looked out the door. She had one last set of preparations she needed to do before she could go.
Farore took great care as she strapped her armor on. There was no telling what would happen during her journey and she did not want to be caught unprepared. She then drew her blade from it's sheath, checking to make sure it was battle ready. The emerald blade sheen in the candle light, looking as good as new. After taking a quick practice slice, she returned the blade back to it's sheath before equiping the sheath around the waist of her armor. With that done, she quickly grabbed her cloak and put it on, putting up it's hood as she did so. She then grabbed the knapsack and put it on.
She then killed the candle and walk through to door. She turned and looked back at the now darken room one last time, just taking in the moment. She then opened the door and left the house she called home for as long as she could remember, for what could be the last time.
Looking outside, she flinched as she saw the light of the early morning sun as it slowly rise from the horizon. It wouldn't be long now before people start waking up, if they weren't awake already. Not wanting to make any long and difficult goodbyes, she began to head off, hoping that she'll be able to go without notice.

rider of firern | former empire rider Emiryal was up early as he usually was. He didn't live in Ellesmera but rather near by in a house he and sung out of a large redwood tree. He was on his wan into Ellesmera when he sensed someone coming his way. He had made a habit of keeping his mind open in the mornings and to take in as much as he could. As a former empire rider he had a hard time keeping his mind open because that was when you got hurt. But mornings when not many were up he practiced doing it when he felt less vulnerable. but feeling the presence of someone else he immediately retracted and put up the barriers in his mind. It wasn't long before he saw her, what caught his attention was the knapsack that was filled just about as full as it could be. "Where are you going?" he asked simply out of curiosity. The elf rider had been in Ellesmera for quite some time now, a month or two and while he didn't know her personally he at least recognized her to some degree.

As she walked down the road heading out of the elven city, she found herself crossing paths with a white haired elf. While she had hoped differently, it seem that people were already up and moving at this hour. At very least she didn't know the elf, nor the elf seem to know her. Though she could of swore she had seen him around Ellesmera during her stay.
"Oh... I'm just heading to..." She stoped herself suddenly as she noticed that saying that she was heading to Vroangard would probably cause more attention she wanted. So instead, she quickly said the first city that came to her mind. "... Teirm." It was only a half lie seeing how the only way she was going to reach Vroangard was by getting on a ship from Terim. Not exactly a favorable or likely situation, but she didn't have much choice if she wanted to reach Vroangard. The only other way would be through dragon back, and the only way she saw that happening was by complete chance.

Konner had been waking early since the day Brenton had died and although he felt as if the man was still alive, Konner had no proof and so he accepted that his friend was truly gone from his life and that meant that he awoke early to get in some training and possibly help train the other riders who would need the help. Just then he heard it, soft footsteps that announced the approach of someone. So he dropped into a crouch and watched until suddenly Farore appeared and he stood up and walked over to her.

Emiryal Nyteshaed | Heir of the Forsworn | Former Empire Rider | Rider of Firern Emiryal smiled. "Terim?" he repeated. "That's pretty far, selling stuff there?" he asked indicating her full knapsack. It looked very well like she might be bringing stuff to sell as Terim was known for trade. He was a bit surprised when Konner appeared. "You going to Terim too?" he asked assuming Konner was here to meet up with her and travel with her. It seemed to make sense at least as far as appearances.

"Huh. Oh... Uhh... Yeah. Yes I am. I'm going to Terim to try to sell a few things." Farore said quickly in response to Emiryal's guess. While she didn't want to lie to this stranger, she wanted to avoid any questions she would get if she told the truth.
Unfortunately, she hadn't noticed Konner's approach until Emiryal asked if he was going to Terim too. She quickly turned to see who the elf was talking to, and upon seeing Konner, turned away, adjusting her hood in an attempt to hide her face from the human rider. She didn't know if Konner had notice who she was yet, but hoped that he hadn't. She didn't know how much Konner knew about her, but doubted that he would believe that she was a trader.

"I don't trade and neither does Farore who I believe this woman is. So Farore, why are you actually packed for travel and heading to Teirm?" Konner was certain that the woman was leaving Ellesmera like other people had been focussing doing and he had even thought about doing himself. Yet he didn't know why she wanted to leave without saying farewell so the rider stood there an aired to find out while he looked at the other rider curiously with some thought about what this could mean for them if Emiryal was involved somehow.

Emiryal Nyteshaed | Heir of the Forsworn | Former Empire Rider | Rider of Firern The contradicting information was in the very least confusing. If Farore was not going to trade what was she doing that was so secretive to lie to a rider. Unless it was simply the fact that he was a former empire rider. There were quite a few who still distrusted him. "Look it's really none of my concern, if you'd rather not tell me I'll leave. I was only curious as to your early departure," he said.

Farore flinched slightly as Konnor gave her away. She was hoping she would be able to leave without any questions, but that didn't seem like it was going to happen. And while Emiryal said that she didn't need to tell him why she was leaving, she knew full well that Konnor was not likely to share the same opinion. Besides, she felt bad for lying to Emiryal in the first place and guessed that he deserved the truth.
Farore gave a depressed sigh. "Wiol eka vanta eom gánga eom Vroengard." She said plainly, hoping that they would understand why she didn't want to talk about it.

Emiryal Nyteshaed | Heir of the Forsworn | Former Empire Rider | Rider of Firern "Vroengard?" the elf rider repeated in surprise. His expression softens slightly at the touch of an almost forgotten memory. He had only fallen in love once and it had been on Vroengard. "It probably is already obvious but be careful. Galbatorix has sent riders there before and may do so again. I'm familiar with it, I've been there before. I won't hold you up on your journey though," he said. He seemed to be about to leave and enter the town. A slight hesitation made him slow though. He had rarely left the forest since his escape from the Empire. He knew full well his love would not be at Vroengard a second time but the memory of it made him question about visiting there.

Konner blinked and then turned away to gather his thoughts as he remembered the first time he had to go to Vroengard to assassinate one of the higher up riders in the Empire. It had been an easy job from the dwarves but the Empire knew about him somehow and he'd been surrounded within seconds of him entering the encampment. He had escaped and killed the rider as well as most of the soldiers but the informant had gotten away. "Vroengard is a place of mystery and magic that is filled with demonic creatures who enjoy killing us all."

Farore silently listened as both Konner and Emiryal warned her of the dangers she could face during her stay at Vroengard, all of which she had already taken into consideration. This trip was not exactly going to be a safe one, and there was a good chance she might not live through it. Yet, this was still a journey she had to make. If there was one place where she would get answers, it would be at the home of the riders.
"I'm aware of the dangers that Vroengard holds, but thanks for your concern." She said to the pair of them, before pausing for a second. A part of her wanted her to ask Konner for his help, but she knew full well she couldn't. He was Isrydia's and Seril's teacher, and she couldn't deprive them of him for her own selfish reasons.
"Konner, can you do me a favor? Tell Isrydia, Seril, and Arlyn that I wished them luck on their training." Farore said somberly as she turned away from the others to continue her journey. She was beginning to have second thoughts about leaving the only life she knew for what could become a wild goose chase. In fact, it was highly unlikely she was going to reach Vroengard in the first place, especially with her only mode of transportation to there being a boat that she was most likely not going to be able to obtain. At least not without alot of money or a fairly large attacking force on her side.
Yet, even with that fact, she had to move on. She had to at least make an attempt at this journey, and who knows, she may end up lucky with either finding a boat or another, better way to reach the island.

Emiryal Nyteshaed | Heir of the Forsworn | Former Empire Rider | Rider of Firern A black dragon flew over head, Firern. Before he circled and landed on the path in front of Farore. His ice blue eyes studied her over for a few moments. He very much looked like Shurikan, which made Emiryal half wonder if he was related to him in some way. The dragon extended his neck slightly and let his warm breath touch her skin as he exhaled. "Those without wings let alone without proper knowledge cannot reach nor survive Vroenguard," he said having heard everything through his rider, Emiryal. The elf rider himself had turned to leave but stopped when his dragon had landed. They were supposed to meet in the city but Firern had insisted on coming here. "What reason do you have to go to such a place?" he said demanding and answer in his tone. Emiryal looked shocked when he realized what Firern was doing but said nothing in protest.

Farore was honestly surprise when she saw the black dragon land in front of her. It seemed to have come out of nowhere, and was larger then about any other dragon she had seen so far. For a good second after he landed, she feared that the dragon may try to eat or attack her, yet that didn't happen. Instead the dragon just look at her as if he was sizing her up, trying to figure out who she is. It wasn't long before he spoke.
The dragon's words rang through her mind as her gaze slowly drifted away from the dragon. While she didn't know how exactly the dragon heard of her plans, she knew he had a point. Going to Vroengard was suicidal, if not downright impossible without a way relible to fly. While she had hoped to use a spell to help her with this, she had little idea how much her limit could be. That, alongside the fact that Vroengard is supposedly infested with deadly creatures that are not seen anywhere else makes it a place were few would dare tread.
For these reasons, it wasn't long before the dragon demanded for a reason why she had to go to Vroengard. Why she had to go to such a dangerous and secretive place?
Several different answers cames to her mind as she thought of this question. Because she felt unwelcome in Elesmera. Because she believed that it could be one place she used to call home. Because she hoped that she could find answers to any questions briming in her head about her past self and riders of old. Yet none of these fully explain the fundamental reason why she had to go to Vroengard.
"It's because I need to." Farore's voice was calm and full of conviction as the words flowed out of her mouth, her eyes looking straight into the dragon's as she said. While her answer was simply, it was nonetheless true. She felt herself being drawn to the place, with every bone in her body telling her that she needed to go there. Any other reason she came up with was just an attempt to rationalize why she felt drawn to go to such a place, because she didn't really know why else she would want to go there.

Emiryal Nyteshaed | Heir of the Forsworn | Former Empire Rider | Rider of Firern Firern watched Faore for a while without a reply as though testing her resolve. "That is the only valid reason to go there," the black dragon said. "Much sorrow lingers there and danger. Only those who must go, should go," he said. He didn't move his head but his eyes flicked briefly towards Emiryal. The elf caught the cue easily and walked to the dragon's side. "Firern and I have been to Vroengard before, Galbatorix taught us well how to survive there. Few would be a better guide for you. If you must go, Firern intends to go with you,"[/i] Emiryal said conveying what Firern had asked him to. He didn't very well like the idea of leaving the elven forest, it was their sanctuary from Galbatorix and to leave it would expose him. But Firern was intent on this and he knew he couldn't change his mind. The journey would take some time, time in which Galbatorix could send someone after them. Farore would most likely be safe, considering any pursuers would be after him and Firern. Staying behind while Firern left wasn't an option either, he would not let his dragon fly into danger while he cowards behind. If Firern were captures while Emiryal hid here, he would never be able to forgive himself for it.

Farore patiently waited for the dragon's response, unsure if he understood her reasoning. She wonder if maybe she should have said something else, something much more... real, but quickly dispelled the thought as she knew that there was no better way to truly explain why she needed to go to such a dangerous place.
After a short wait, the dragon finally responded to her answer, mentioning that there is no other reason why one should go to such a dangerous place such as Vroengard. The elf (who she now guessed was the dragon's rider) then added that he and Firern (the name of the dragon) had been to Vroengard before, having been taught by Galbatorix how to survive there. For these reasons, if Farore intended to go to Vroengard, Firern intended to go with her. Farore smiled hearing this. While she was unsure how to feel about the fact that Galbatorix had taught them how to survive at Vroengard, she was happy to have a dragon (and most likely his rider) travel with her.
"Thank you, Firern-elda. Your help would be much appreciated." Farore said to Firern with a small bow before focusing her attention on the Firern's rider, "Am I right to guess you were planning to come along, too?"

Emiryal Nyteshaed | Heir of the Forsworn | Former Empire Rider | Rider of Firern
Firern seemed to appreciate her showing him respect by adding elda to the end of his name. Having been formerly of the empire some choose to show little to no respect to him or his rider. Having served the mad king unwillingly as it was still gave many reason to distrust him. Which was one of the reason the pair had grown to be so loyal to Brenton. He had suffered a similar fate to them and was one of the few who trusted them completely. Emiryal nodded. "I would not let my dragon go on such a venture alone," he confirmed. "I'll come with you as well. Forgive me if I'm less than happy to be returning to Vroengard though. Vroengaurd is a painful subject for me, it's hard for me to return," he said. It had been quite a long time ago but on his first and only trip to Vroengard as ordered by the king he had found a woman there, and had fallen in love for the first and only time in his life. He had run onto her during one of the battles against the Varden but had not seen her since then. He could only assume she'd been killed and to go back to the place he'd met her, well it was hard knowing she wouldn't be there a second time. The pale elf fell silent and didn't seem to be willing to stay anything more on the topic. "We will need time to prepare. We can be ready to leave within the hour," Firern said. Changing the topic for his rider's sake and he hoped Farore would not ask into it at all.

Konner listened to the conversation as he sank into himself to contemplate the thought of going back to Vroengard for another trip, if not for Farore then for himself. Yet he knew that Brenton had named him the teacher for Isrydia and Seril both of whom had been silent and he assumed were doing training on their own. Konner couldn't bring himself to face the two students for they would want to know if he knew about what had killed Brenton and he couldn't think about it so the rider looked up with a trace of tears in his eyes and looked right at Farore with determination. I can go with you for a little while and help keep you safe. There is no training for me to do and I cannot bring myself to face Seril or Isrydia. Within the hour I can be ready to leave and I'm sure Talon would be glad for a little break from trees.
Konner looked at the large red dragon and saw the look of approval in his eyes as he stretched his wings just slightly to show he was ready at any time that they wanted to leave. Quickly the rider looked at Emiryal and cast him a pleading look to allow him to go on this trip as well. I have skills that most riders have not learned and I can get us sanctuary in any dwarven city or anywhere that is dwarven or Varden controlled. Please allow me to accompany you so that I can rest easy knowing that I did what I could to aid you.
