Sephora glanced at Tintaglia, a fire in her eyes of determination. "I won't," she said. She was angry at being separated from her rider and unable to protect him.

Avendel watched them casually and was lounging on top of the wall of the courtyard. She wasn't worried about them leaving without their riders and if she did she had orders to take them down.

Reru kicked Saphone as well. "Be quiet," he said. Just then a figure came into the room, Murtagh. Galbatorix was behind him. The mad king glanced at the two riders then at his son, Reru. "Well done," he said. "At least I can count on someone," he added giving a meaningful look to Murtagh. He sat down on his thrown. "Who are you," he said looking at Saphone first.

Saphone glared at the evil king menacingly "I am saphone mareksson of the VARDEN and I will never serve you!" He growls and relates everything that is happening to tintaglia through their minds as he listens to thee mad king galbatorix and notices murtagh**

Murtagh stood by the king's side just watching them. "Oh I think you will," Galbatorix said. "If I were to break your mind you'd serve the Empire in mere seconds. But it can be more pleasant than that if you join willingly. You." He meant the last part for Caspian to introduce himself.

"Caspian Tarlach," he said. "Sword loyal to the Varden." He was trying to copy Saphone's lead.

"I WILL NOT SERVE YOU YOU ARE NOT MY KING!!!" Growls and tries to break free of his bonds and falls over and the mad king notices the deep cut that Prince Reru had recently given Saphone "YOU LISTEN TO ME NOW GALBATORIX YOU CAN NOT BREAK ME!!!" Looks at him menacingly***

Tintaglia meanwhile was trying to help Sephora "listen we need a plan to get out of here let's think of something!" She said while constantly glancing at avendel*

Galbatorix didn't seem to care that they were injured by Reru or anyone else for that matter. "Don't test me," he said calmly. "I could break you easily. Either you choose to join us or I will do just that. I don't have time to waste on you. what will it be."

Caspian didn't want to join Gablatorix but he was a relatively weak rider he didn't stand a chance against Reru let alone the king.

"Like what? I'm not leaving without Caspian," Sephora said. We need a way to get them out before we can leave."

Galbatorix I have a proposal! If I can best Murtagh in a sword duel you let me and Caspian go but if I lose we serve you willingly Caspian trust me on this ok?" Saphone spoke quickly but firmly as Tintaglia had sent this idea to him and Sephora as well

"Sephora we will not leave without them!"*

Caspian just nodded. He didn't have any better ideas.

The king smiled. "You couldn't beat him," he said. "But this might be amusing. Reru give him his sword." Reru looked surpriesed but returned Saphone's sword to him. He didn't return Caspian's though.

Murtagh blinked and looked from the king to the two riders. He sighed and pulled out Zar'roc. the red blade gleaming like blood in the dim light.

Sephora nodded. "Then how do we get them out?"

[Dragonkin]

However I will use magic to heal myself and make this fair and no Eldunari!" Saphone Heals himself "waise heill!" And draws his own sword Islingr the blue blade shimmering like blue fire as he took his stance from murtagh*

Tintaglia "Sephora when I give the signal attack rerus dragon!"*

"Handicap yourself if you like," Murtagh said. He hadn't agreed to not using Eldunari and Galbatorix hadn't told him any restrictions. He stood ready. "You first," he said. He seemed totally at ease and unbothered by the idea. He didn't see Saphone as a threat though he wasn't going to underestimate him either. Eragon couldn't beat him so how could this one.

Sephora glanced up worriedly at Avendel. Um okay, she said uncertainly. She wasn't the best fighter. She was still pretty young and inexperienced. She would try though. If it helped get them out of this mess she would try.

I have no Eldunari so how am I handicapped king surely this is no way to duel I said a fair fight!" Stands at the ready waiting for murtagh to make the first move as the torch light glowed dim around them setting the mood for a showdown***

Tintaglia "not yet sephora wait until I get the signal from my rider"*

"You picked him as your opponent," Galbatorix said. "If you wanted a fair fight you should've picked someone else."

Murtagh came at Saphone swinging his sword at him. He was just testing him for now waiting to see what he could do.

Sephora nodded.

[Dragonkin]

Saphone quickly deflected with his blue sword and countered murtagh attack with a sideways swipe trying to.nick him in the leg and then he spoke to Tintaglia "now Tintaglia!"*

Tintaglia lunges at avendel "NOW SEPHORA!!"*

Murtagh easily deflected Saphone's blow then with lightening speed lundged at Saphone.

Sephora followed her lead and lunged for the other dragon. She snapped at them from her perch on the wall.

[Dragonkin]

Tintaglia pounced on avendel snapping at the dragons leg and then roared at her*

Saphone quickly sidestepped the blow and spun around slashing at his chest*

Murtagh moved out of the way letting Saphone hit nothing while he swung for his back.

Reru sighed and walked out to go take care of the dragons.

Avendel roared and whipped her tail at Tintaglia while still fending off Sephora.

Saphone using his lightning quick elven speed deflected and lunged at murtagh with his blade "FOR THE VARDEN!"

Tintaglia got in position above the doorway about to attack reru once he showed his ugly face*

Murtagh blocked his blade matching Saphone's elven speed despite only being human. With Reru gone and the fight distracting Caspian stood up and lunged for Murtagh tripping him up and making him fall. "Saphone!" he shouted hoping the rider would take advantage.

Reru walked out and instantly cast a spell to bind both Tintaglia and Sephora. Sephora roared in defiance when she found herself unable to move. Reru didn't seem tired at all he had more strength than he was letting on.

[Dragonkin]

Saphone seeing the opening took advantage and struck at murtaghs exposed side "thank you Caspian that was great" hands Caspian his dagger "here you'll need this"***

Tintaglia roared and breathed fire all around the courtyard**

Reru easily countered the fire and let it go around him. Avendel was unharmed due to her wards.

Caspian smiled and retreated before Murtagh could react. "Thanks," he said taking the dagger he wasn't so sure about using it though.

Murtagh winced as the blow hit him. He rolled and got to his feet slashing at Saphone's legs as he did so. Galbatorix watched on amused by the fight.

Saphone fell under the cheap blow murtagh had done and fell in front of him defeated "all right you win" silently he told the dragons to stop fighting hopefully they would listen**
