Tall, dark, and handsome, Isildyr is quite an attractive young man, standing at an above average height of 5’11”. Isildyr’s beautiful platinum white hair is long, thick, and wavy, and he often ties it into a neat braid. His short black beard is always kept trimmed short and neat, complimenting his angled jawline – Isildyr does not like to let his facial hair get too long because it loses its shape and gets in the way. His almond shaped eyes are a bright blue in colour, and they used to match the colour of his magic before he bonded to his beloved dragon. Isildyr’s face is soft yet handsome, with thick, black eyebrows overshadowing his high cheekbones and a sharp jawline. His skin is a warm light brown in colour, with dark body hair found along his arms, chest, stomach, and legs. Isildyr has quite a tall, muscular build, that of an archer, with strong shoulder and upper-back muscles, along with a lightly defined six-pack, and muscular thighs and calves. Since Isildyr is a half-elf, he has pointed ears, but otherwise he looks completely human.
Personality: Compassionate, empathetic, tenacious, inquisitive, resilient, honourable, protective, loyal, emotionally guarded, logical, pessimistic, calculating, vigilant.
In many situations, Isildyr would rather protect others than stand back at allow someone else to take charge. It makes Isildyr feel like the hero that he strives to be. Isildyr is an honourable young man and will often put himself at risk to protect someone in danger. Many a fight has begun when Isildyr was standing up to someone who was being cruel to someone younger. Isildyr is strong bodied and strong in the mind, he can take anything that is thrown at him, and then some more. He would much prefer to have a good fight with a stranger than let them continue to attack someone who doesn’t deserve it. He is straightforward and to the point, often not thinking about how it might make other people feel. On the rare occasion that Isildyr does become close with someone, he is incredibly loyal and protective of them, going above and beyond to ensure that they will stay by his side and not abandon him. Isildyr struggles to tell others about his problems or negative thoughts, preferring to keep his issues to himself. He couldn’t imagine being a burden on anyone, be it either physically or mentally. It takes a lot for someone to break down the mental walls Isildyr has built around himself, he has seen so much loss from such a young age, it has become all too easy to not feel anything.
Isildyr is quite logical and realistic in his thinking patterns and he always looks for the most logical solution to every problem that he faced. Due to everything that he has been though, Isildyr is quite pessimistic in nature, and he cannot help but expect the worse in any given situation. He knows better than anyone that no matter how hard you fight, it can never be enough, but that does not mean that he will stop trying. Isildyr is a relatively calm and calculating individual, he always thinks things through and would never rush into a new situation without first evaluating all variables. He is quite observant of his surroundings, always sweeping new environments for any potential dangers so that he can be prepared if anything goes wrong.

Family:
Olryk | Father | Human | Deceased (+27)
Aerys | Mother | Elf | Alive (+275)
History:
Olryk was one of the very few human men to win the affections of an elven woman, a young magic user by the name of Aerys. She specialised in healing and was assisting the Varden tend to their wounded which was where she met Olryk, a young soldier who had been injured in battle. Over time the two fell in love and eventually Aerys became pregnant. She needed to return to Du Weldenvarden after discovering that she was with child, and unfortunately, Olryk was not allowed to join her. She promised him that they would be reunited again one day, but Aerys needed to be with her people during this time. Pregnancy and childbirth were rare amongst the elves and Aerys was quite excited, but she was incredibly saddened that she had to part ways with Olryk. Soon enough, Aerys gave birth to her first and only child, a half-elf that she named Isildyr. He grew quite quickly by elven standard due to his human parentage, and the years seemed to fly by.
Isildyr often asked about his father growing up, but Aerys kept dismissing him, explaining that he was not old enough yet to leave the safety of their woodland home. By the age of 20, Isildyr was doing well in his magic studies and had learned how to wield a bow and daggers in order to protect himself. It was natural that he was curious about his father and wished to meet him, but Aerys was quite protective of her son and did not think that he was ready to face the world outside of their home in Du Weldenvarden. He had been trained to fight, he could wield a bow and could use magic, and the boy felt like it was about time that he met Olryk. To put her son’s mind at ease, Aerys contacted the Varden and discovered that Olryk was still alive and well, and she eventually decided that it would be good to see him again and introduce him to his son. Aerys and Isildyr packed for a long journey and left under the cover of darkness.
It was a long journey to the Varden, and it over the few months that it took them to travel, Isildyr grew up a lot. They eventually arrived safely and Aerys and Olryk were finally reunited. Olryk had never given up hope that Aerys would return to him one day, and he was utterly delighted to meet his son. Isildyr was a bit awkward at first, but he eventually came out of his shell and got to know his father. Finally, their little family was reunited, but it was not meant to last. Isildyr joined the ranks of the Varden’s army alongside his father, while Aerys resumed her healer duties. She knew how to fight too of course, but she felt like her magical healing abilities were of a greater help to the Varden and their survival. She didn’t like that Isildyr was training for war, but her son had made up his mind and there was little that she could do to stop him. Unfortunately, their happy little family was not meant to last, and Olryk was killed during battle.
Distraught and heartbroken, Aerys wished to return home, and she begged her son to join her but Isildyr refused. Eventually Aerys left by herself, however she made her son promise that he would return home one day. Isildyr was a man grown now and he felt like his place was with the Varden, but he did promise that he would come back to Ellesméra one day. Isildyr continued to fight for the Varden, improving his archery skills and using magic when he could, and luckily he was able to heal himself whenever he was injured if he had enough energy to do so.
It was quite exciting when Eragon Shadesalyer found a cache of hundreds of dragon eggs, and eventually, Isildyr was given the chance to stand before an egg to see if it would hatch for him. The golden egg was kind of small compared to the others that he had seen, and Isildyr was lucky enough for the hatchling within to choose him. After touching her with his right hand and forming the bond, Isildyr was overcome with love for the tiny hatchling and he could not help but shed a few tears of happiness. He named her Felyrith, and the newly bonded pair have since been training under Eragon himself. Isildyr has a fairly large head start since he was born and raised in Du Weldenvarden and speaks the Ancient Language fluidly, but there is still a lot that he needs to learn in order to be a successful rider.
Anything extra: Isildyr’s magic used to be blue, but upon bonding with Felyrith it changed to gold. When he was younger he used magic to change his raven black hair to white, although he kept his facial and body hair dark.

If with a Dragon Rider, how did the rider find the egg?: Given
Age: 1
Pronouns: She/Her
Gender: Female
Eyes: Gold
Scale Color: Gold
Appearance:
Although still growing, Felyrith is quite a beautiful young dragon with scales the colour of molten gold. She hatched from quite a small egg, so Felyrith is smaller than other dragons her own age, but she is growing quite quickly. Felyrith is graceful and proportionate, with large membraned wings and a long tail, she is lithe in build and is quite an agile flyer. Ivory horns protrude from the back of her head, curving back and then upwards; she has three spikes on each of her cheeks and even smaller spikes on her brow to protect her golden eyes. Ivory spines run from between her eyes, down her neck with a gap for a rider saddle, along her back and down the length of her tail. Since she is still so young and has not yet seen a battle, her scaled body is free from scars or blemishes, and Felyrith likes to think that she is quite perfect. Felyrith will surely grow into quite an impressive dragon, although she will always be slightly smaller than others of the same age, but if anything, it just allows her to me more acrobatic and agile while airborne.
Personality: Assertive, valiant, impulsive, resourceful, proud, convivial, sanguine.
Assertive and confident, Felyrith is never afraid to speak her mind and she is always quite honest and upfront about how she feels about certain situations or topics. She is quite confident in her own abilities and faces new challenges with her head held high. Felyrith is quite valiant and brave, she faces new challenges with her head held high, and it takes a lot to truly frighten her. She is seemingly fearless, and when a situation does scare her, Felyrith always tries her best to get through it so that she can fight for another day. Unlike her rider, Felyrith is impulsive and often makes decisions without a second thought, rushing into things and often needing her rider to rein her in. She does not tend to think things through and often goes along with her first thought, much to her rider’s dismay, which often gets her into trouble. Felyrith is quite resourceful and with her quick mind and thoughtful nature, she is often able to come up with solutions for almost any situation, within reason of course. She has always been a problem solver, and when given some time, Felyrith is often able to solve any problem that might come her way.
Felyrith has an excessively high opinion of herself and believes that she is the most important dragon on all of Alagaësia, and this definitely shows. She hates being told that she is wrong or being denied what is rightfully hers, which can cause her to lash out. Felyrith knows that she is stunning, and effortlessly holds herself in such a way as to accentuate her beauty. Felyrith is fairly convivial and friendly in nature, she is quite a social young dragon and she enjoys the company of others, and she is usually in a good mood. Finally, Felyrith is fairly optimistic and she tends to see the good in various situations even when things appear to be quite bleak. She often balances out her rider's more pessimistic nature and is able to see the positives in situations, no matter how depressing they may be.
--->Likes: Isildyr, flying, swimming
--->Dislikes: Those who waste her time
--->Strengths: Aerial acrobatics, flying
--->Weakness: Scared of losing her rider
History:
Felyrith was one of the eggs that was found in the secret cache by Eragon Shadeslayer and her egg was transported to the Varden. It was here where she found her rider, a young half-elf by the name of Isildyr; she hatched for him and the bond was formed. Since then, the pair have been nigh inseparable. They perfectly balance each other out and work well together in a team. Felyrith has been training hard alongside her beloved Isildyr, and she particularly likes flying with him above the clouds. Once Felyrith was big enough to make the journey, she and Isildyr travelled to Ellesméra so that they could be reunited with Isildyr’s mother, Aerys, who was absolutely delighted to learn that her son had bonded to a dragon. After returning home, the young pair continued their studies and always aim to try their best. One day they will be a fully fledged dragonrider pair, but for now, Felyrith and Isildyr are training hard.
