Kyrn laid down under the hot sun on a small ledge of a sandstone bluff over looking the sea of sand below. His cloak was off and he rolled it up underneath his head along with his hands. His sword was up against the wall and easily within his reach. His boots where off so his bare feet could get some fresh air. It was hard to believe that only about eight months ago he was a slave and no one would have thought that a dragon would have hatched for him. A smile stretched across his face as he drifted off to sleep.
He awoke but he was not on the cliffs. He was back at the caravan at night. Fires set by the slavers roared all over. He ran as fast as he could through the chaos and clutter of women and children crying and men fighting. He saw his father get cut down again, and his fathers blood poured out through the air and onto the ground. His brother taken and his mother no where in sight. He looked as he saw a slaver rush over to him and pick him up. The mans face was covered by a bandanna but he had a tribal tattoo that was visible.
Kyrn awoke with a start panting and flung himself up right drenched in a cold sweat. He put his hand over his face and closed his eyes. He ran his hand through his hair as he caught his breath. "Was it that infernal dream again?"[/i] Kyrn looked up to where his dragons tail was on the top of the small bluff just above where he was. Varith was sprawled out like a dog would.
Kyrn nodded. "Ya..."
"I swear, if we ever find those slavers in this wondrous place I will tear them apart!" A small jet of fire fire released from his nostrils. Kyrn nodded as a scowl set on his face. "As will I."
Kyrn looked out over the desert. After Varith has hatched Kyrn traveled northeast to the point of where the raid had happened and through the journey, Kyrn learned that the slavers now travel through the Hadarac desert. The duo had been flying over head for the past five days looking for them and they barely even covered 1/8 of the desert, but they would not stop until they found them.
Kyrn took his cloak, put on his boots, and slipped his head through his Baldric and tightened his sword down. Kyrn began to climb the five feet to the top ledge where Varith was. Varith was stretching and yawning displaying his pearly white teeth. With out saying Kyrn pulled himself up onto the notch in Vraith's neck. Kyrn didn't have a saddle so he had to grip Varith with his thighs. With a quick pat on the red dragons side Varith dove off the ledge and flared his wings and quickly gained altitude.
Within minutes they where back on their mission of finding the slavers that had almost ruined Kyrn's life.

Maybe riding would not be so bad. Yeah right. Emily's eyes overlooked the valley of sand before her, and she hated what she saw. Sand, sand was everywhere. On the earth, inside the earth, inside her clothing, inside the crevasses of her dragon's scales. It was in the air, in her lungs, in her dragons lungs, and Emily totally despised it.
Why was she here in the first place? she could not even remember what Galbatrox said to her, just something about gathering pay from some slave drivers, which didn't lighten up her mood at all. She hated going on these stupid missions, gathering money from Empire ships and slavers and merchants was boring, but he said free time was going to come, and by jolly all she wanted to do was get away from all the stress of the war and fly towards Palancer Vally, and enjoy the sights and sounds of having nothing to worry about.
Voids wings where beating a steady, tuneless song, one that reminded Emily of her childhood, and the death of her parents. Emily shook her head," Void, go a little higher, so i can see if those idiots who are unlucky enough to gain my presence are around." Void nodded, spreading out his wings to their full length, tipped his wings slightly upward. causing them to gain altitude.
Emily grinned as she felt herself and Void go higher and higher with each beat of his wings. She loved this feeling, and right now she was happy. Before they where close to the ground, but now they soared through the sky. It was only until she noticed they zipped past something red that she yelled, "Slow, Void!" Void must have seen it too, for he whipped his whole body around, causing her to almost tumble out of her fighting saddle. She moved her hand towards her dagger, it's black blade shined in the summer sun. Emily looked at what she saw. A small, red dragon with someone around her age perched atop, without a saddle. She looked at him carefully, her eyes boring into his face, 'What have we here, Void. a nice little dragon and his rider. The problem is who's side are they one."
She pointed her dagger at him, a bracelet around her hand with the Empire crest a pone it, and looked him in the eyes," If you are Empire, i shall let you be, if Varden, prepare to loose your life. If you have yet to join a side, then i shall leave you be, and be off to tax those stupid slave traders who Galbatrox sent me after. Be wise in your words, for i have trained since I was but a child, and my dragon would rip yours to shreds."
Void growled at Emily, then looked at the two.'"We have no wish to harm. Shes just being uptight." Emily glared at Void, "thanks Void, your a real help." She rolled her eyes and placed her dagger at her left side, then looked at the pair, her eyes full of hate, even though she had no right to hate them.
Void, on the other hand, looked at them, unable to tell if they where friend or foe.
(OOC:Sorry if she is a little mean, she hates men, if you cant already tell)

(Ooc: Ya I got that)
Kyrn was busy looking at the ground for the slavers he so wished where just around the next sand dune when all of the sudden Varith Jerked his head around and immediately went into a tight bank. Kyrn grabbed hold of the neck spike in front of him but he wished he had taken the time to learn how to make a saddle. "What are you doing!?!" Kyrn asked Varith.
"Shut up! We have guests..." Varith replied following with growl. Kyrn looked around until he spotted a huge dragon with what appeared to be a woman on its back. Who are these two? Kyrn though to himself. Varith flared his wings and came out of the bank and was now facing the mysterious dragon and rider.
Kyrn's cloak billowed as a small gust of wind came across the sky. She pointed a black dagger at him and asked him who he was with. "She cuts right to the point doesn't she?" Kyrn asked Varith. "Just answer her already." Kyrn nodded and then it hit him. She said that she was here to tax the slavers.
"Be careful...don't maker her angry, and don't tell her why you need to know where the slavers are." Kyrn nodded at what Varith told him. He finally replied "I loathe the empire and I'm not with the varden. You said something of the slavers, I was wondering, is there a man with a tribal tattoo on the left side of his face?" Kyrn asked her.
He hoped that maybe she leave, it would be a shame if something happened to Varith and him so close to exacting revenge on the slavers.

Emily sat straighter as she gazed at him. They seemed to be talking or something, so she waited. Her eyes roamed around the land, still nothing but sand, a few rocks, more sand... She jerked her attention to the pair. She nodded her head, not sure if she should tell him anything. Still, it would be nice to find those sorry....
"Hm. let me decide how to answer that...Yes, i know of a man with that tattoo, a sorry piece of crap if you ask me. His name is Velnix. Hes the slaver I'm looking for." She glanced away, noting the small caravan in the distance. though it was not the slaver, she needed a bite to eat, flying and tracking got her tired. 'If you are trying to find him, you could follow me. If you are trying to kill him, then do as you please, I'm just collecting what the king wants."
Her black eyes traveled back towards the caravan, reminding her she had food in her saddle bags." Void, I'm starved, shall we stop to eat?" She looked over towards the pair, ha! she had almost forgot about them. "If you are hungry, you could either eat with me, or go get food from the caravan. I suggest you leave your friend here, he might scare the living daylights out of those idiots."
Void turned slightly, towards the caravan, and gently glided down towards a rock formation shaped like a turtles shell, shadows hid in its cracks . His gleaming black scales where like a void against the land below as he swooped to a stop.
Emily dismounted with ease and grace as she moved to undo the saddle bags, noting that Void was also very hungry. "Void, ill be fine, find yourself a nice deer or two, but be back before dark, so we can track those sorry excuses for human beings."
She removed the saddle from Void, grinning as he took leave, his dark frame turning smaller every second. How she loved her dragon, he was her best friend. She knew not what to do about the new pair, she had never met them before, but she motioned them to come. They looked hungry, she could only hope Void would be back so they could get back to tracking.
She closed her eyes and scanned the area with her mind. She felt the pairs presence, she felt Voids, though it got smaller and smaller. She felt the caravan. Finally she put a lot of her power and stopped when she found a large body of men, maybe 30, moving east. Her eyes fluttered open and she muttered to herself. " They are close, i should not have sent Void away."
She looked back at the pair, wondering if she should tell them. "I found them, thirty man, both strong and weak. Velnix is with them." She lowered her eyes, a sad look was there," I hope he rots in hell for what he tried to do to me..." She shook her head, and started unloading her bags.
(oohh, something sour between her and the slaver? lol)

(Ooc: The plot thickens! lol.) Kyrn nodded. "Well shall we follow them?" he asked Varith who was eying the black dragon closely. Varith puffed out smoke from his nostrils. "Yes I do...But be careful." And with that Varith flew after them behind the rock formation. As they landed they noticed that the black dragon was flying away. Kyrn hoped of of Varith and the red dragon shook feeling the slight weight lift off of him. When she asked if he was hungry he shook his head. "No thanks I'm fine." he said with an expressionless face. Varith's thoughts emanated into Kyrn and where filled with tearing up the caravan and having a fantastic feast. "No" Kyrn said plainly to Varith. "Absolutely not. Besides once we find those bastard slavers you can eat as much as you want." He said with a cold smile. Varith didn't answer but a sense of satisfaction came from him. Kyrn was surprised to hear that she said they were nearby and with thirty men. "How do you know that? Can you see them?" he asked her. Kyrn was new to being a dragon rider and not even trained in the slightest art. As far as he new he hasn't even used any magic yet. (Ooc: Sorry for the smaller post, I have to go to my English class and I'll be back in 'bout two hours....bleh ... )

Emily's sad eyes now looked amused, had she been listening right? was this rider really scolding the dragon, "I see...your not hungry, and it appears as though your dragon is hungry, but i can't help that." She reached into the bag and pulled out a nice, red apple, she bit into it, the juice dripped down the left side of her mouth.
She stared at him when he asked her how she new what she knew so, you can't use magic, huh. At least she was in no danger from him, for he seemed to know less and less about dragons as far as she was concerned. She looked at the red dragon, "Might i ask names of you, then ill tell you how i know." She grinned, nothing like putting witless men in a place where they can't escape unless they do what you want.
She lifted her face towards the sky, loving the warmth of the sun, at least until she had to get back on Void and ride to the slavers, who where too close for her to feel safe, even with magic." Best i let you know about Velnix. for one, he uses magic, like me. two, he is as dumb as a cow, though he learns very fast. three, well, lets just say its a less then desirable trait i find all men i met have. and four, he has a solid punch, much to the dismay of my...' She looked away, she hated talking about this man, no matter how hard she tried to forget.
She could remember the day as clear as the sky...She stood in front of a large man, Galbatrox at the large mans side. she was only 16, and she didn't know what was happening. The man smiled, showing a tribal mark on his face."Hello, pretty bird, I'm your new cage master." He moved his hand to touch her face, but she bit him on the hand, and it bled. He had whipped his hand away, then his large fist moved and got her straight in the gut, breaking several bones. She had screamed all that night, as the "Cage Master" beat her. The next morning he was gone, a letter saying, *ill come back, remember me-Velnix.
She realized she had tears running down her face, dripping onto the sand. She looked away, reaching into her bags to pull out a black cloak. Then, with a start, she realized that her flashback had been seen by the two, for she had forgot to close her mind. 'I'm sorry, you should not have seen that." She got up, , placing her cloak on. She worked at the strings, fighting the anger within her heart. That day had ruined her, and she vowed never to trust another living soul, until Void, that is.
She looked at them. 'Void should be back soon. when he returns, we can go to the slavers. In the mean time, ill show you some things." She walked up to them, her gaze drifting from the dragon to the man beside him." If you want to survive as a dragon rider with no side, then you need training. And if you want to live through your little party with Velnix, you need some magic."
She stood in front of them, "First, you need to know how to use magic, and i can tell just by looking at you, you don't know anything about magic or anything else about dragon riding for that matter. Now, you little friend here, is a nice size, hes about, 6 months? no fire yet, but soon...So!" she said, moved away from the two." I want you to make fire, the correct pronunciation is brisingr, okay?" She looked at them, She didn't trust them, but they needed to learn some things before ever fighting the slave master.
She stood a little farther from them, pointing her hand at them, "brisingr!" immediately, fire as black as Void shot from her hand, scorching a nearby rock. She put her hand down, she looked a little tired, "As you see, brisingr means fire. as soon as fire can come from your hand, i will teach you four more things. be careful, though, because that spell is a bit draining, and you might faint." She walked away from them, leaving them to do as they please.
"Oh, and I'm Emily." she called over her shoulder. That's all they needed to know about her, and about her past

(Ooc: Lucky me, class got out early ) When She asked them for their names they replied "I'm Kyrn, and-" "And I am called Varith." Varith stated interrupting and extending his mind so she can hear as well. Kyrn wondered why Varith had stated his name to her? Normal he just stays quiet. Kyrn's thoughts where interrupted by a sudden flash of images about a young girl standing before some king and then the man with the tattoo, Velnix. Kyrn saw Velnix punch her in the stomach and then the letter in the morning. When it was over Kyrn saw the girl was crying and he felt a sadness for her. His face set in a deep scowl and he grit his teeth. Varith growled and agreed with the anger from Kyrn. "It seems that your not the only one this Valnix has hurt." Varith said. Kyrn nodded. After Kyrn's anger had subsided for the moment she stated that he had to learn magic. "Magic?" Kyrn wondered. After a moment later she lifted her hand and a black flame shot from her hand striking a nearby rock. Kyrn was astonished and he almost missed her name. If she was right then he can do it as well. He looked at the same rock and lifted his arm towards it. Varith stood next to him watching. Kyrn stood with a calm expression. His mind felt as if it was in a space so open that he would leave his body, but then he felt like digging deeper, and an explosion of an unknown force enveloped him. and he shouted the word she told him. "BRISINGER!!" A crimson fireball roared from his hand and struck the rock. Kyrn felt a wave of fatigue rush over him and his limbs felt heavy and he fell to one knee. He was panting and sweating. "wow" was the only word that came from his mouth. "So...Emily...You found the slavers with magic right?"

Emily didn't answer. Heck, her mouth was wide open, "Wow..." was all she could say as she watched the blaze. it was huge, bigger then when she first started, but that was because she was better trained. But she was indeed impressed He learns quicker then i thought.
His question troubled her some. The method she used was only used by Varden riders and elves, "Well...I'm not at liberty to say. It's an elven technique. Not even Galbatrox can use it, and i did it since i was a child...." She looked at him and smiled, "It's a method that my parents taught me, because they where elves and they knew all that stuff..." It pained her to think of her parents, the way they where murdered, and how helpless she was...
She forced the memories away as she looked at what she considered her student, "There are some other things i would teach you. But they need bigger spaces like Palancer Vally or the Spine." She grinned at him, he would learn quickly if she had the time to teach him.
Before she could ponder her thoughts, she felt something touch her mind, and a sense of calmness rushed over her as she recognized the feel of the mind. "Emily, i should be right there in a moment." She closed her eyes and said, "Void should be here in a moment, and unless we wanna catch up to the slavers', we must make haste." She opened her eyes, turning a steel gaze at Kyrn, 'If you don't mind me asking, what business do you have with the slave..."
Before she could finish her sentence, she felt the area where she stood turn cold and shaded. She gazed up wards, a large black object, looking as though it where a piece of the world missing, was sailing in a down-ward spiral towards her. She smiled, a warm touch lite her eyes, "Void..." She said in a dreamy-like voice, how she truly loved her dragon.
She moved out of the way, gathering her leather saddle and the saddle bags, and moved towards Varith, taking a stand next to him, away from Kyrn, "Varith, if it's alright with you, i would like to try Voids saddle on you, just to see what size you are." It would be good for her to teach Kyrn how to make a saddle also.
Her gaze went towards her dragon. His scales didn't even reflect the sun, which gave him the look of a simple nothingness. Voids large, bat-like wings spayed out, flapping slowly as he moved to land. She felt the sand-covered earth move as his large, massive body hit the ground.
Emily grinned and asked, "Void, did you eat anything." Void didn't answer, visibly upset. He wordlessly threw a half a deer carcass at Varith, his eyes streaming anger, "I saw Velnix, that's what..." His mind had outstretched to all three of them, and Emily's face looked worried, but she didn't talk.
She rearranged her saddle and saddle bags in her hands and brought out a small flask, tossing it to Kyrn, she said." Drink this, only a small sip. you should feel better in no time."
She let out a weighed sigh. This was turning out not at all like she had planned.

(no problem lol)
Kyrn felt like he just like when he was back in guard training at his slave Masters estate. He rolled back to sit down and rested his arms on the tops of his knees. Sweat dripped down from his forehead. Not just from fatigue but also from the heat of the sun. He listened as she told him about how her parents were elves and had taught her how to do whatever she did to find the slavers. “Well we all have our secrets…” Kyrn said softly. Varith looked over to the rock and then back to Kyrn. “Well this will make killing Velnix easier.”[/i] Kyrn nodded at the statement. “But not if it makes me this exhausted. It would have to kill him first or I’d be a sitting duck.” Varith grumbled. ”don’t worry, I’m here as well.”[/i]
When Emily was about to ask him something her black dragon fell from the sky and landed near them. “He is definitely older and bigger then Varith.” Kyrn thought to himself. Then she came over and asked Varith if she could put on her dragons saddle on Varith to see his side. Varith nodded and told her that he was okay with it. When Void had said that Velnix was near, Kyrn stood up. He was still tired but not as bad as a few minutes ago. Varith hungrily bit into the half of the deer that Void had given to him. “Hey! What do you say when someone gives you something!” Kyrn said to Varith. Varith looked up at him with some deer flesh hanging down from his mouth, then finally turned to void and extended his thoughts, “Thank you, Void.” And then he resumed eating. Kyrn shook his head, “ungrateful dragon.” He said to himself.
Emily took something out of her saddle bags and then handed a small flask over to Kyrn. She told him to take one sip and that it would make him better. Kyrn opened the stopper on it and smelled it, and it didn’t smell all that bad. He took a sip and then handed it back to Emily. “Thanks, what is that stuff?” He said as he felt his energy returning.
“Well if we are going to meet the slavers, why further delay?” Kyrn asked.

Emily grinned as she watched Varith nod, 'Alright." She placed her stuff on the ground and then picked up her saddle once more, and tossed it over Variths back. She ducked her head and moved under the dragon, fastening the straps and loops that her saddle held. "Its a little big, but it's perfect." She tightened the last strap and moved away from the red dragon." It looks better on you then it did on Void, too." She giggled when she heard Void growl just a bit, but she waved it off.
She walked closer to Varith again, "Okay, I'm going to mount, okay?" She didn't wait for an answer as she stepped on foot into the stirrup and lifted herself onto the dragon, "I'm lighter then Kyrn, so ill feel different on your back." She then swung off Varith with one swift motion, shaking her head at Kyrn's words. She took the flask and tucked it safely into her saddle bags. "It's an elven thing, too. My parents taught me almost everything, even if i was human." Her last comments where heavy, as though she hated to admit she didn't know her real parents.
She moved away from Varith towards Void, "Well, we better head out then, if we wanna catch them. No doubt Velnix already knows I'm coming." Void twisted his leg out a bit, and Emily climbed up his leg and onto his back. "You can keep the saddle while we fly. it should be easier." But Void's eyes flashed fear What will you hold on to?. you know i have no spikes for you to grasp Emily grinned as she moved into her seat on Voids upper back, "Ill be fine."
Void didn't like the idea, but he knew it was useless to argue with her. He turned his thought's towards Kyrn Don't ruin the saddle, alright. it was a gift from her mother Void's voice was deep, coated with anger and a slight hint of saddness.
Emily looked towards Varith, "Be careful, i know it feels different from flying without a saddle, but it will be more conformable for Kyrn as well as you."
Void didn't comment as he moved his body, facing away from Kyrn and Varith. He moved his wings up and down slowly, sand scattering from under wind pressure that his wings produced. Emily turned her head around and smiled, 'Just follow us, okay!" She had to scream out the words because the noise from Void's pounding wings grew louder and louder until finally his wings went up again, then down with such force the ground shook. The wind pressure from his wings surged him upward, also causing small wind tornado's to fly around. Void surged into the sky, Emily sitting calmly on his back. She touched Kyrn's and Variths minds, Come on, they are close.
Void's form moved away slowly, so they could catch up Its about an hours ride from here. Void said to everyone, His voice still had a touch of anger,Ill kill that man for you, Emily. Emily smiled, Void loved her as much as she loved him.

"Thank you Emily..." Kyrn said a little stunned that she gave them her saddle. So far she gave them three gifts while the only others he ever got was a harsh whipping and choice words. Kyrn walked over and examined the saddle. It was definitely made for a bigger dragon but it was able to adjust to Varith. "She is very light compared to you Kyrn.", Ignoring the comment Kyrn got onto Varith after Emily got off. He settled into the saddle and strapped in his legs. It felt a little odd to sit on him with a saddle but he would get used to it.
As Void began to flap his wings Varith had braced himself as the black dragon took flight. Once Void was air born Varith jumped up and began to follow them.
"Are there any pointers you can give me when flying with a saddle!?!" Kyrn yelled as loud as he could over the wind.

Emily laughed as Void did some fancy flying, 'Yeah, hang on!" Her last words where cut off when Void did a dive downwards, gliding near the sand. Emily giggled and hugged close to her dragons neck, it felt so good to be riding bare-back again, She always hated saddles and how they made her feel closed in.
Void turned swiftly and glided up til he came at level with Varith, and flew close to his side, "Kyrn, just hang on to the horn on the saddle. Most saddles don't have horns, but since Void here has the smoothest neck ever, the horn is useful."
Emily smiled as she leaned backwards, shifting onto Void's back. "Flying feels so good. It's the best sport out there." She shifted back into a sitting position, locking gazes with Kyrn, "So, Kyrn. Whats your history with the slave king? He kill some one important to you?" Her eyes where kind and gentle, 'If you don't want to alk about it with a stranger, then i understand."
Void tilted his head to look at Kyrn, locking his thoughts with him and spoke Don't try anything with Emily, got it? She's had enough hurt in her life. Void released his hold on Kyrn and turned his eyes forward.
Emily smiled and asked Varith out loud, 'How does the saddle feel, does it fit tight or a little loosely?"
(sorry if its short. and i wondering if i could use Kyrn in a book im writing. he would be 16 though, and Varith too)

(Yeah you can use him and Varith lol)
Kyrn smiled as he saw Emily and Void go close to the sand. When he first met them only a few hours ago they seemed so cold and kinda mean, but now he saw that they are happy together. Kyrn and Varith never really had time to enjoy flying. So far they have been tracking down Velnix and his hoard of slavers.
"I've always wanted to do this with you but I was afraid you'd fall off." Varith interrupted Kyrn's thoughts "Wait, what did you want to d-" His voice was cut off as Varith locked in his wings and rolled to the left a more then a few times and dropping like a stone out of the sky.
Kyrn felt sick and dizzy and then a sudden rush of air hit him and Varith leveled off a few feet above the sand then began to climb again. "That was crazy! You could have killed us!" A low rumble came from Varith. "Icould have but I didn't ." When Void came over next to them and Emily asked about why he was looking for him and he was a little shocked by what Void said and decided to stay quiet.
Kyrn kept his gaze with Emily and then thought about how to answer. "You can tell them." Varith said. Kyrn let out a heavy sigh then looked up to the open sky. Finally still looking up he answer. "12 years ago, my family and I where going to Gil'ead with a small caravan. That night when we set up camp we where attacked by a band of slavers. They Killed many men, including my father, Velnix gave him the killing blow. Then they took me and my brother Mickel away, to be sold. I was sold to a small lord in Belatona, this is the mark that he branded all of his slaves with." Kyrn rolled up his sleeve to reveal a burned scar of a crest. "I still don't know what became of Mickel only that he is now the a captain of some military group. I still don't know what happened to my mother..." Kyrn's eyes were heavy with sadness.

Emily's eyes flashed sadness. It was hard enough to know her parents where killed, but knowing that his where a little too much,"I'm sorry you had to suffer like that. It's hard to loose someone your close to, even harder if it's your mother or father." She looked down towards the ground, a heavy wave of fatigue overshadowed her. She closed her eyes tight as she relived the killing of her parents, and cast the thoughts away. She looked back at Kyrn, "My parents where killed by a Forsworn sent by Galbatrox to kill them because they where Varden operatives. It happened 15 years ago. i was just turning five, and i could not do anything about it..."
Void tilted his head to look at Emily, his eyes tender and caring. He then turned his attention towards Kyrn I'm sorry for your loss, but what happened to you is not nearly as bad as to Emily. who was later forced to work under her parents murderer Void again turned his attention towards the way in front of them, scanning for the slavers. Emily grinned as she rubbed her dragons neck, 'I didn't really have time to mourn, and i didn't even when i did. My birth parents died trying to keep me away from Galbatrox. and then Simon and Lidea did the same."
Emily looked at Kyrn, "Your loss is huge. But at least you had the time to get to know your parents unlike me..." She looked up into the sky, a smile spreading on her lips, "One day, when my true name is changed, ill run away from the Empire and never return. Me and Void will be free from all ruler ship that curses this world." She then looked Kyrn in the eye, 'Don't choose a side, if you know whats good for you. It would be safer to die knowing you where free, then die for someones own dreams that are not your own."
She grinned as she leaned forward. the faster they found Velnix, the better.
(so, when we meet who will play velnix?)

(That's all you ) Kyrn was surprised to learn that Emily's parents were also killed. The world suddenly felt smaller, but by Voids remark, he knew that there was more to her story. Kyrn felt that they where getting closer to Velnix. He unfastened his cloak and put it away in one of the saddle bags. He then tightened down his loose baldric by pulling on the strap across his chest. "Soon Varith...soon." Kyrn said to Varith. The sun was beginning to set on the horizon, most likely this battle will ensue at night. The fires still raged inside of Kyrn's mind. No matter what happens, Kyrn and Varith will walk out of this alive. When Emily told him not to join any side and be free, "You don't have to worry Emily, I've been a slave once, never again." and what she said about her true name it made him wonder. "So...what is a true name?" (wow small post )

(thought so ) Emily thought about the question, she felt Voids body shift, and she nodded, "I really can't explain it other then this. Once it is discovered, you can be forced to do anything that that person may say. They usually can figure out your true name by studying your personality, your habits, just about anything you do will give pointers to your true name." Emily dropped her gaze towards the ground, "Galbatrox said i would get a break after this for a few months. So ill be heading towards Palancer Vally to take some time off, then ride towards the elves to learn how to change my true name." Void stared ahead with slight frustration, they should have found them by now. Maybe he veered off way to the right. Whatever it was, they should have found them by now. Void's eyes scanned until he saw the left of him, Found them His mind had stretched out to everyone, so they all would know. Void was going to rip the mans head out when he was done with him. Void focused his mind on Varith, Hey Varith, lets rip him to pieces Void let out a jet of fire from his nostrils, showing his glee at the prospect of destroying Velnix with all he had. "Alright!" Emily said with excitement. She had been waiting for the past 4 years to get her hands around Velnix's neck, "They are in sight!" Emily moved slowly to her feet, throwing a balancing act, she moved slowly up his back til she was at the middle. She dropped to her knees and reached for the saddle bag, and she pulled out a pair of what seemed to be gloves. She then moved slowly back to where she was sitting, and pulled the black gloves over her hands, "Lets pound his face into the wall," Void nodded in agreement, this would be fun. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Velnix: Velnix had spotted them well before they had, 'Look's like sweet heart is hear to get the taxes! All halt!" Velnix yelled to the crown and waited for them to land. it was going to be nice to see his little friend once more. (sorry its short)'

*INTRUSION!!!* "What's that?" Sonya asked, her thought disturbing Vedrit out of his reverie. Looking around, he saw several things to cause him concern. Dragons and lots of people. Being in the Hadaric, it was a toss up as to whether they could be Empireal or with the Varden. "Well, may as well say hello. Not like there's anywhere to hide here." Vedrit replied. Sonya agreed and tilted towards the group, coming from the opposite direction as the second group

As soon as Void had found them Varith began to look in that direction and he saw them as well. Kyrn wasted no time either. He forewent putting his cloak back on as he would only hinder him in this fight. He grabbed the saddles horn with his right hand and he grabbed the hilt his sword with his left.
"Tonight, he dies. And my fathers blade shall rip all who stand in our way in two!" Kyrn said. Varith replied by letting a roar rip from his throat.
"I want his body torn apart as well but at least let Emily make the first move, he's hurt her as well." Varith said but Kyrn simply nodded, he was already planing on what to do first. "Swift strike to his throat, then I'll take down his weak lackeys."

Emily looked at them in shock, "You can't just up and attack him..." She cut off her last sentace as she lifted her gaze, spotting something in the distance, "Oh, great.." She muttered. Void stopped and looked out, also spotting the thing moving towards them. He growled and she sighed, "Hey, Kyrn. lets go see who they are first, okay?" She didn't even wait for an answer as Void started sailing towards the new pair, making it appearant that it was another rider.
Void let a small jet of fire out as they pasted slowly over the slavers. Emily sighed and looked behind her so she could see Kyrn, "Don't worry, we will deal with them later." She flashed a smile as she turned around, ready to meet this new foe or friend, "Please, be Varden." She mutttered under her breath.

(okay here we go)
Varith was getting to dive when Emily told them about the new intruder. Kyrn released his grasp on the hilt of his blade and turned to look over his shoulder. "Well now...It seems we have a party coming." Varith said. Kyrn nodded in agreement. "Who knows this, might make fighting Velnix easier?" Kyrn said over to Emily.
Even as Kyrn said that he had a feeling that this was about to get harder rather then easier. Kyrn looked at the sun as it just went behind the see of sand and the last rays of light stretched across the sky. A cold breeze began to roll in. Kyrn looked down to Velnix who's band of men had stopped moving and began to set up camp for the night. Obviously waiting for Emily. He couldn't help notice the small band of men in cages being drawn by oxen. How many more must become slaves...Kyrn thought (Sorry for the short post)
