Kaala entered the tavern looking for her 'Master'. She noticed him sitting in a corner talking to a human femaleabout a young boy standing quietly beside their table. She came up to the table just as the human called the child a kid and listened to Tristan swear as he burned his tounge. " It is their word for child Tristan-elda" she told him, her eyes shining with mirth.

Tristan looked up at Kaalas figure in superise. He smiled" Oh hi Kaala. "Tian, this is my apprentice Rain. Rain this Tian. And do me a favor. Drop the whole 'elda" thing. Either Tristan or even Master. But no 'elda'." He stood and pulled out a chair for her."Please sit down."

Kaala smiled softly at his slip up and whispered, " Master, Have I not asked you not to use my true name in public?" she sighed "Oh well, Hopefully this, Tian did not take notice of it." she got up from her crouched position and smiled at her." Greetings Tian."

Tian looked the necomer over with a courious expression, she seemed nice enough, "I don't repeat things that I didn't hear," she said with a grin and siped her tea. She looked up at Tristan wondering just how old he was, "So 'master' is it?" The boy had brought another chair for Kaala to sit.

Kaala looked around at Tian and smiled softly. "It was quite an accident really. We met in the desert and I tell you truly it was not pleasent."
She turned and looked at Tristan flashing him a quick, playful grin. "Infact, if a friend hadn't intervened, I might not be here. As it was he and I struck a bargin. I would travel with him and learn those things I needed and I, well, I'm not really sure." She gave a contemplative look...

Vedrit, wandering through the down aimlessly. Sonya convinced him that they could sit and rest a bit in a nearby tavern.
Vedrit had lost his worry of Sonya, his white dragon, being seen in public.
With a nod, Vedrit entered the tavern, looking for a relatively clean table where he could sit at and have a cold drink.
'I have a feeling that something interesting will happen here.' She said, sitting beside the seat Vedrit was on.
Vedrit no longer wanted something to drink. His hands were clammy and sweaty. He calmly looked around the room, hiding the nervousness that kept him from concentrating.

Tian glanced up, reflex to react when she saw movment. Tian gritted her teeth and clenched her hands in Moon's fur, the man who had walked in was yet another rider.
"Wow it's getting crowded in here," she said chuckling softly. She was beginnin to feel incredably small, compared to the others around her.

Vedrit leaned back in his chair.
'There are riders here.' Sonya told Vedrit.
He looked around "I dont see any one that would fit that looks like a rider." He whispered back.
'But neither do you.' Sonya said dryly.
Vedrit nodded. "Where?" He asked.
Sonya shrugged. 'I only know they are here.' She replied.
Vedrit let out a sigh, but straightened in his seat, calmly looking around.

Tian cocked her head, frowning, the newcomer was suddenly much more aware of his surroundings. Tian was extreamly good at reading people, but her herself was horrable at hiding her emotions. Suddenly Moon leaped down from her lap and padded swiftly over to the newcomer, "Moon!" Tian hissed,why would she do that! she wondered as her little black kitten sniffed at the strangers shoes.

Vedrit looked down as the cat came. Smiling, he scratched behind the cats ears, then looked around, wondering who was the owner of the cat. Sonya exampined the cat. Vedrit spotted Tian with her puzzlment. He gently picks up the cat and walks over to Tian. "Excuse me, but is this yor cat?" He asked. He set the cat down on the floor. "May I?" He asked again, pulling up a chair. He nodded a hi to the others.

Tian bit her lip her heart racing. All she could do was nod and smile as Moon jumped into her lap and the man sat down. Finnaly she said, "I'm sorry if Moon bothered you, she usally dosn't do that...much," she added with a small smile.

He let out a short laugh. "Its ok. I like cats." He said. Sonya sat between Vedrit and Tian, examining her. "You intrest her." Vedrit said to Tian.
'Ask her.' Sonya told Vedrit. Vedrit let out a sigh. He had no doubt as to what question Sonya wanted him to ask. "Do you, perhaps, know how I can contact the Varden?" He asked, his voice low.

Arkantos slipped in to a tavern, hunting for Varden sorcerers now that he had defected to the Empire. Sensing some, he quickly pulled up his hood to prevent from being recognized, but he didn't need to worry.
"These magic users are either new Riders, or are too weak to have heard of me", he said to himself with not a little vanity."This will be a cinch. Brisinger,"he whispered so as not to be heard. Forming a sphere of flame, he hurled it at the Riders and quickly drawing his sword, just in case they weren't as incompetent as they looked.

Tian was opening her mouth to reply when she saw the fire coming. She gasped and threw up her hands, breathing a phrase under her breath, Skolir nosu fra brisingr!
Forming a shield to protect them. She gasped and bent over as the power sapped energy from her body. Tian straighted and stood her two knives in her hands.

Sonya knocked Vedrit to the side as soon as the fireball was thrown, knocking the wind out of him.
'Quick. We have company' Sonya told him. Staggering to his feet, he drew his sword, though he didnt look too formidable with one hand unsteadily holding the sword, one arm wrapped around his stomach. He faces the cloaked figure that has his own sword drawn, and looks to Tian with her daggers.
Taking a ragged breath, he stood in a devensive stance, taking the pommle of his sword in both hands. Sonya was at his side, her eyes locked on the cloaked figure.

"My day just keeps getting more exiting," Tian sighed as she got some of her strength back, and straightened. Moon suddenly darted out in front of Tian and Vedrit. She hissed at the man puffing out her fur. It would have been a comical sight if Tian hadn't know that this man could kill her kitten with one word. "Moon get back!" Tian snapped, Moon ignored her.

Arkantos pulled back his hood and smiled wolfishly at the small kitten hissing at him. Raising his sleeve up to reveal his tatoo of the godess of the hunt shaped like the Gedwey Ignasia, he launched a weak chain lightning spell at everyone in the room, knowing that his enemies would try to save unprotected bystanders who were trying to flee this soon to be wizard's melee, and in doing so, would make them child's play to kill.

"No!" Tian cried, and threw her magic out, forming a shield around Moon. It was reflex, and the fact that she didn't have enough power to protect anyonel else in the room. She gasped and sand to her knees from the loss of energy. Gritting her teeth she raised her arm and hurled one of her daggers at the man.

Vedrit didnt know what to do. The insignea was odd looking to him, and magic was unknown to him. All he could think to do was get low. Vedrit rolled away, wishing he were deaf from the screams of agony filling the room. He got up, but slowly. Wondering if his bow were a good idea, he got as far from the figure as he possibly could, while remaining in the room. Sonya was still at Tians side.
'I still dont know who that girl is.' He thought, then laughed at the thought.
He sheathed his sword and got his bow. After knocking an arrow, he loosed it, aiming at the figure.

Briskly walking into the tavern with his axe by his side Orik walks over to the bar and hops onto a stool and mutters to the barman "Pint of mead" then places a few coins onto the counter. turning around to scout around to see if anyone is watching him, he hears the barman put the mead on the counter. turning he looks at the mead and then takes a swig and grimaces "Werg" he mutters.
