Arkantos stood calmly as the dagger and arrow flew at him, stopping three feet short of him. His emergency ward, which was now a visible aquamarine, was doing it's job. Striding towards the girl who was on her knees, he picked her up by her hair and put his blade up to her throat as he twirled her around, making her a human shield, or target, for the young man who was stupid enough to fire an arrow at him.
((OOC. Sorry if I'm being too controlling. Wait..am I? Eh, whatever. ^^))

Tian's eyes blazed she did not like being a hostage, or a sheild. She tenced clenching her fists and gritting her teeth as she tried to block out her cat's angry screeching when she found that she couldn't get to her mistress. She winced at the man's hold on her hair, her honey-brown eyes wondering, as she gazed into the man's eyes who was her only hope unless she could do something. Visions flashed in her head as she felt the knife at her throat. Her parents burned and chared body's, her home wrecked, and the last glimbs of her sister before she went missing. Tian refused to die this way, This just might kill me... she thought before she threw the last of her magic out. "Risa!" she cried trying to throw the man away from her.

Vedrit put his bow on his shoulder, and grabbed his sword. He didnt want to shoot another arrow, incase he hits his new friend. He took a step forward. Sonya, in the time where eyes were else where, moved to behind the man in the cloak. She let out a low growl.
"Who are you?" Vedrit asked the man in the cloak "And what do you want?" His gaze never left the man.

Orik turned swiftly round and placed his hand on his axe, Just incase trouble came for him. looking at the man holding the woman as a sheild he said "Vrron leave the woman be knurlagn" disgust dripped from his every word for the mans cowardness, of hiding behind a woman.

Kaala stood from where she had been thrown in the corner taking note of the small dragon before noticing Tian being held hostage. She drew herself up and said, "Release her, coward." her voice echoing in the now silent tavern, her lilting voice taking on a sharper edge.
"Mirror, I need you" she told him, giving him a picture of her location.
"I'm coming" She heard him reply. "How do you get yourself into these messes?" His question would have been almost comical except for the dire circumstances.

Arkantos used his ring to absorb the spell, and then, almost casually, tossed her into the air, where she hovered in the grip of a cocoon of azure light.
"This does not concern you, dwarf!" he hissed venomously, firing a bolt of lightning at him. ((will add more later))

Orik jumped out the way and landed hard on the cold wooden floor, Just in time before he got hit by the lightenting "Barzuln" spat the dwarf picking himself up. He grabbed his axe "Coward is what you are and coward is your name" Orik raised his axe ready to fight.

Vedrit took the momentary distraction and removal of Tian from the way to rush at the man, his sword aiming at the mans chest. Sonya also took the time to charge at the man. 'I hope I do not miss.' Vedrit thought grimly, knowing what would happen if he missed.

Arkantos turned sideways and raised his palms outwards towards' the onrushing man and dragon. "Bind their bodies",He intoned, coccooning them in a cage much like the girl's.
Running at the dwarf, he caused the ground beneath the dwarf to turn into a swirling vortex of quicksand, spinning until all that was exposed was his head. Sheathing his sword and taking out his knife, he did what he thought would enrage the dwarf most: he cut off his beard in a ragged fashion, to make it incredibly comical if it was on anyone else.

Orik got sucked into the vortex and becoming stuck up to his neck "Coward" he shouted at the top off his lungs. Then the coward did something worse than death he cut off his thick beard "I'll rip your lungs out" panted the dwarf as he tried to get out of the floor. Orik looked at the people around him "Help" he grunted trying to pull himself free.

Much to Tian's surprise her blast of power hadn't taken all of her energy, or killed her for that matter. Her head spun as she hung in the air making her nauseous, she was terrified of heights. Great, she thought and closed her eyes, this just makes my day. Clenching her fists and not opening her eyes, Tian took advantage of the time when the man's attention wasn't on her. Wow I am so simple, Tian thought angry at herself for forgetting that she had stored magic in the charm that hung around her neck. It was connected to her sister, so it would draw on some of her magic. Tian just hoped she wasn't in a similar situation. Taking a breath she drew the power into her and whispered a word under her breath, so the man wouldn't hear. The spell that bound her broke dropping her on the ground with a painful thump.

Vedrit, suspended in mid air, was infuriated. So easily was he stopped. His dragon was in the same situation. He saw, out of the corner of his eye, the girl drop to the floor. This lightned his mood, seeing some one able to do soemthing. He saw, too, the dwarf trying to get out of the floor. That was an un-nerving sight. Letting out a sigh, he calmed him self, finding his center, so that when he was free, he would not be tired from struggling out of the cacoon.

Tian struggled to her feet, and nearly got nocked downagain as Moon leaped up and landed on her chest with a painful thump. She looked up at Vedrit, but she didn't think she had enough energy to help him down.

Arkantos turned around and let the dwarf be, for now. Seeing the predicament his enemies were in, he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
"How far the Varden have degraded since I last saw them! Less than a month after I defect, and this is the what the Varden have fallen to? A bunch of weak ragtag sorcerers, useless Riders, and the ever annoying dwarves. I'm telling you, you're all outnumbered and outclassed. The Empire has at least 4 Shades, and you have no one within 10 leagues of standing a chance against them.Oh, well, at least I'll gain recognition in the Empire when I deliver you to Vavrinec or Astarael."
So saying, he walked over to the girl, whose weakly protected mind told him her name was Tian, and bound her again with magic, this time gagging her mouth and binding her cat as well.
"So Tian, enjoy being on the losing side?",he whispered into her ear as he picked her up and set her on Wingfoot's saddle outside.
Entering once more, he turned to the bound Rider and his dragon.
"My name is Arkantos, and I'm the one who defeated you without breaking a sweat.",he announced, as he tied them both to a wagon which he "acquired" on the way out.

Kicking his legs violently against the stone, he glared into the cowards direction making eye contact "We Dwarves are from the Stone, We know ways to break it" he said as his arm busted out of the stone clenching his axe "Great Helzvog that was hard" he thought to himself while getting out the floor. Panting he looked over at the other two struggling against there invsible bonds. Orik looked over at the Knurlagn "Leave this place or be forever lost you shall be"

No!, Tian thought outraged as she struggled against her bonds. I will not be taken this way! But Tian had no more fight left in her. She fainted. Moon on the other hand, had been able to claw through one of her bonds. She knew if she wanted to save her mistress she would need help. She leaped from the horse and bounded to the town stables in surch of Tian's horse.

Sonya, not liking the situation, did something about it. Using her natural ability of Magic, she broke the bonds holding her and Vedrit. Dropping to the floor, Vedrit grabbed the horses reins, where Tian was still captive on, and, urging the horse to follow, ran to where he thought he would be safe.

The ground quaked with every step Arkantos took as he followed the Rider through the city. Lightning was arching around him as he roared"NO ONE STEALS MY HORSE AND LIVES!!".Raising his palms, he launched fireball after fireball at them while running on adrenaline and sprinting faster than many professional atheletes could at peak performance.
Catching up with the horsethief, he knocked him down with a well-aimed punch and proceded to grab his spear from Wingfoot's saddle, stabbing and slashing ferociously at the downed figure on the ground.

Tristan bolted out of the tavern. Icefyre I need you!!, he mentally yelled.
He drew his word and sprinted after Arkantos. He heard flapping overhead and glanced up. Icefyre was flying over head. Muttering curses in every language he knew he leaped straight up. He grabbed a low hanging ledge and vaulted upward onto the roof of a building. Icefyre dropped slightly, just enough for him to grab one of her spikes. He pulled himself onto her saddle.
Follow the lighting!, he yelled.
