Tristan entered the town at a casual pace. He moved quitely throught the crowds with his hood up, not wanting to draw attention to his pointed ears. His longsword hung at his side and the black opla around his neck glinted. He had decided to leave Icefyre behind, he wanted peace. He looked around the many streets and paths. So what now? he thought to himself.

Tian openly watched the hooded figure from her position by the stables. She was curious about him, the way he moved seemed more confedent then any of the other people around him. She could tell when someone wanted to bee unoticed because she was an expert at it. Of course there were times when people just ingnored her on there own.

Tristan felt eyes on him and spun around, looking at the small human girl. She was very pretty and appeared to be about 15 or 16 with curly red hair. He walked up to her. Grinning he said" Is their something on my face?". He looked at her friendly brown eyes and noticed something odd about her. He couldn't place it though.

Tian smiled looking the man over, he was extremely handsome,looking to be around 18, and tall, but then again she was just short."Besides it being elven?" she whispered, her honey-auburn eye glinting with amusement. Tian leaned back on the stable door, arms crossed waiting for his reaction. She glanced over her shoulder to make sure the man who had been snooping around her horses was gone. Just then her small black kitten, Moon, came out of her horse's stall and twined around her legs till Tian picked her up, her eyes locked on the mans lovely golden eyes.

Tristan smiled. " I get that a lot. So what's your name?" he asked. Who is that, Icefyre asked.
I'm don't know. She looks nice though., he said.
Okay but be carefull little one she might be dangerous.
Tristan looked at the small pretty girl. Somehow I doubt he thought to himself. He grinned " My dragon thinks you might be dangerous, are you?"

Tian grinned, blushing slightly,"My name is Tian Kennen, or" she said after a pause," Tian Silver tongue, and yes I can be dangerous," she paused again twining her fingers nervously in Moon's fur,"to some people." She hadn't missed the part about his dragon, He's a rider! she thought awed but not showing it. She thrust her chin forward defiantly as if daring him to object .She smiled and turned walking towards her horses stalls. "May I ask your name?" she asked over her shoulder as she set Moon down and slipped into Windtrader's stall, and started to brush her black stallion.

He doubted it, but there was always a need to be cautious." After all my name is very important. The wrog people knowing who I am could put me and my friends in danger."

Tian looked at him raising a eyebrow and said in the ancient language "The Vardens." She had learned the ancient language from her grandmother be for the village was burned. She was the one who had taught Lyf and herself how to use their magic. Tian's eyes hardend as she thought about her village and how her family had been destroyed. Her hands had clenched into fists at the thought and she didn't notice until Windtrader niped her elbow bringing her back to reality.

" Excellent." he said delighted." My name is Tristan Noohu. Are you spellcaster or did you just have a knowledge of the ancient language?" He motioned towards the street." Come, let us walk and speak, I am eager to see this city, it is much diffrent than the ones back home. Icefyre, she is on are side he said.

Tian smiled thinking Tristan...it sutes him.She slipped out of Windtrader's stall, patting Amberfire as she walked by hers and picked up Moon. "I'm a witch," she said as Moon clawed her way up Tian's shirt to sit on her shoulder. "My twin sister and myself learned magic from our grandmother, I know how to fight with it and i can heal small wounds but thats all."

He stepped on to the street and began walking down the street." A witch. What are the odds of me meeting a witch." he said. "So what do you people do around here? I am somwhat unfamilar with human culture." He looked around marveling at the buildings and their unfamilar designs.

Tian laughed at the look of wonder of Tristans face. "Well I just got here yesterday, I've been roming ever since my old village, not too far from here, was destroyed my Urgals..." she trailed off then continued," My whole family was killed exept my twin sister but she was missing...I came back to look for her," she paused swallowing hard, "again." Tian turned her hace from Tristan so he wouln't see the angy tears in her eyes or her very red cheeks.

"Oh I'm sorry." He paused sensing tears."You will find your sister. I am positive." He spotted a clothing stall and went over and looked. The vibrant colors really stood out. He looked at the buildings again. " What is the building material? I see no trees. How do you build without tree? Is it possible?" He looked around in wonder. He would of contacted Icefyre but she was asleep.

Tian sighed swiping away the tears while his back was turned. Moon stuck her nose in Tian's ear worried, "I'm fine," she whispered brushing the kitten away. Tian burst out laughing when she heard Tristan's question, "Where have you lived all your life?" she asked grinning the redness fadding from her cheeks. "That's rock!"

" Ellesemera," he smiled in wonder " Rock? That is incredible! I wonder how they get that done." he grinned. " But I'll bet you'll never guess what elves make their houses of!" he smiled waiting for her to take his challenge. To a human an elves way of making buildings was probably unthinkable.

"Out of trees I'd guess, but-" Tian was cut off by a hand groping at her belt-purse. Tian spun around a dagger appearing in her hand as she kicked the man away from her. Moon launched herself from Tian's shoulder with an angry yowl. She landed on the mans face and dug her claws in. The pick-pocket howled with pain as he tried to yank the kitten from his face. Terrified that Moon might get hurt she grabbed one of the mans flailing arms and wrenched it behind his back. Moon leaped free as Tian shoved the man into the wall. Another dagger identical to the the one in her right hand was in her left when the man turned around. Tian recognized him from previous encounters like this. He was about her age but much larger. "That was stupid," he said calmly, "you know I'm the best pick-pocket around here, and you've tried me before and lost, what made you think you'd win this time?" The man glanced at Tristan and back to Tian and spat at her feet then ran.

Tristan sprinted after the the thief with inhuman speed. His cloak fell to the ground but he was moving to fast for people to see his pointed ears. His face was red with anger as he closed the diatnce between him and theif. He vaulted over a stall, his feet making no noise. As he got close he whispered " Thysta vindr " The man flew and hit nearby wall. Tristan walked forward and grabbed him by the collar, lifting him of the ground. " I think you owe my friend something , human.
