As Nihael stepped into the city he immediately noticed people cringing away from his presence, physical aswell as mental. Hmmm... hopefully I will be able to procure the supplies that I need. These usless villagers are woefully understocked. Walking up to the nearest shopkeeper, but pausing as he heard the faint swish of a coat behind him. Finding himself unable to enter the mind of the stranger and discover their intentions, Nihael slowly turns around and braces himself for an attack just in case.

Vavrin had just exited the massive compound, not stopping to see if the Twins had followed. She saw before her the exact man she wanted to see. It was very fortunate and it pleased her that she did not need to go out of her way just yet.
The Shade approached the man as he was turning. Her snakeskin cape billowed gently, and her maroon eyes bore into those of the Rider's as she began to speak.
"Good evening," she said, a small smirk playing upon her pale face.

"Good Evening to you too. And to whom do I owe this pleasure to?" Noticing that the woman was a Shade, Nihael kept his hand over the hilt of his sword. Shades are not wont to starting random conversations without some purpose, and seeing as Onyxia had gone hunting, the fact that he was a Rider should not have attracted her. Returning her look with an equally piercing gaze, he examined the Shade, his eyes flickering over her blade.

"Welcome to Gil'ead, Rider." She took a few steps closer, giving him the once-over, taking in the details that she had missed from before. Vavrin knew that he was the Rider who had confronted that pathetic elf. She also knew that it was no coincidence that he was now in her city.
She continued to stare at him, noticing how he quickly stole a glance at her longsword. "I daresay you wont find a blade like this anywhere. It was given to me by my Master, a fellow Shade... he's dead now." She placed a hand upon the hilt, her eyes flashing as she continued on, "I am Vavrinec," she said smoothly, holding her head high.

"I am pleased to make your acquaintance. As I am sure you already know... I am Nihael, Rider of the Empire. Is there something that I may assist you with? As in my experience and what I have gleaned from others, Shades are not given to making flippant approaches towards a man of my stature.”
Onyxia, I seem to have met a rather interesting character, would you care to come meet her?
What exactly do you mean by interesting? Anyway, I am on my way.
Patience you will see soon enough exactly what I mean.
“It looks to be a fine blade, I would request a glance at it but I know better than to ask someone to surrender their blade to anyone at a time like this. But you did mention you procured it from a Shade, by any chance, would this Shade be Durza?”

"Yes, I know who you are, Nihael. Flippant it may seem but I am not one to approach just anyone, for few are worthy of my precious time. The things people say of my kind pale in comparison to reality," she said slyly, "though I am sure they are amusing. Perhaps a story for another time,"
Vavrin's disposition changed at the mention of Durza. The Shade clenched her jaw, such details she guarded closesly, hidden behind the barriers of her mind. However, her pride got the better of her. Vavrin's lips parted in a feral grin, flashing a row of brilliantly white filled teeth. She gave a slightly arrogant bow, "The one and only."
After a brief moment, she straightened again, her hand tightened its grip possessively upon the hilt, maroon eyes partially veiled by a curtain of bloodred hair. "You knew Durza?"

"Only in passing the few times I saw him when he came to report to Galbatorix. He was never much for talking and I didn't suspect that he would ever be so generous as to care enough about someone to present them with such a fine weapon of war." Nihael stated as though not noticing her reaction to the name Durza, although a small smile crept onto his face as he saw Onyxia approaching them.
"You seem to have known Durza alot better than I did." stated Nihael as Onyxia landed behind the Shade. "I would like to introduce you to Onyxia, Varvinec, this is Onyxia."
Onyxia, this is Vavrinec.
So this is the "interesting" character you disrupted my hunting for me to meet?[/colour]
As a matter of fact, yes.
Hmpf. She does not seem all that interesting to me.
Ah, but she seems to have known the Shade Durza quite well, and she herself is a Shade.
Alright, maybe a little interesting
I knew you would see things my way.[/i]
"Onyxia would like to extend her greetings to you aswell, she would do it herself, but she is sure that you would be guarding your mind from any intrusions."

"Durza was but a kitten," Yin and Yang said, stepping out of the building behind Vavrin. "And his good for nothing henchmen twins but mice. The only thing they've done correctly was infultrate the Varden and we all see how well that's turned out."
They brushed their clothes, tossing away some dirt that managed to get on their clothes. Looking at Nihael and his dragon, they lowered their head slightly. "Evening, rider," they said, looking at Nihael and then back at his dragon. "We are Yin and Yang or better known as Shield and Sword, but enough with the introductions, let us get down to business, shall we?"

"Yes..." she said vaguely. Only naturally would one be close to thier master. Vavrin acknowledged Onyxia with a nod, indeed she was beautiful, though her thoughts were interrupted by the Twin's sudden appearance.
She turned to see them dusting themselves off. Raising an eyebrow, she said, "I must agree, his twins were nothing compared to you two. What you lack in punctuality you make up for with.... charisma."
Vavrin quickly brushed aside any lingering thoughts of her former Master and crossed her arms. She glanced at Nihael breifly then back at the Twins. "We were just getting better aquainted. No need to rush into business so suddenly. All in good time..."

"I would not say that Durza was a kitten, to think so would be to greatly underestimate him. It was only through sheer luck that he was beaten. Well he is gone now, there is no use arguing his merits. The other twins ofcourse, I had no great admiration for, they were but jackals, waiting to feast on the crippled and dying. On a lighter note, I am glad to make your acquaintance, although you should be so quick to rush into things, I would like to get to know my ah... 'co-workers' for lack of a better word. We have plenty of time, otherwise I am sure the lovely miss Vavrinec would have not stopped to exchange pleasantries."

Vavrin smiled at Nihael and said, "Perhaps we could take this conversation inside and get to know each other properly. I doubt the proper place to get acquainted or discuss business," she said, glancing at the Twins, "is on the street. That is, after you have purchased the supplies you have come here for."
Vavrin knew that the Twins were eager to get out of Gil'ead. She wouldnt mind leaving it behind for a while either, all the more reason to cut to the chase and give the Rider his mission. However, Vavrin found the Rider interesting and just assumed not to go rushing about anything.

"My my... it seems we've hit quite a soft spot..." the twins said, smiling slightly. They held onto their weapons tightly in case Vavrin decided to lash out at them. "Sheer luck... I would think that our dear, deceased shade would have known better then to turn his back to a rider."
Yang released his sword as he checked out their small collection of items. He pulled out a blackened banana and tossed it away. "Seems we need a bit of shopping as well. Fruit doesn't seem to last as long as we had hoped."

The Shade scowled. She had heard just about enough from those two for one night. Her self restraint was quickly ebbing away to nothingness.
Vavrin turned, her hair deep maroon eyes narrowed, and snarled wordlessly at the twins. She bent and grabbed the silver dagger from inside her tall boot and hurled it at Yang.

Yin feet shifted quickly and he swung his staff at Yang. Yang ducked as Yin swung his bow staff where Yang's head had been moments before. Yin stopped his swing a few inches from Vavrin, the dagger stuck in the blade. "We suggest you don't do that again," the twins said as Yang straightened himself up. "We wouldn't want one of Galbatroix's special little shades to get injured, now shall we?"
Yin slammed his bow staff down after Vavrin retrieved her dagger, crushing the banana he had dropped moments ago. "Are we ready to leave now, Miss Vavrin," the twins said cooly.

Vavrin replaced her dagger inside of her boot and pushed aside the strands of hair in her face. She got closer and said silkily, "Ooooh, dont make me hold you two to it." With that, Vavrin smirked, keeping her eyes on the twins.
She took a couple steps back and and eventually glanced over at Nihael. "Are you ready?"

"As soon as I get the supplies I require, I will be able to leave. It would help if you could point me in the direction of a well stocked merchant though... And are you sure you can travel together without you killing one of the twins?" stated Nihael only half joking.
I do not like those two, they seem as though they would stab you in the back in a second
Yes, I observed this too. What think you of the Shade? She seems trustworthy enough as far as Shades go.
Are you sure you are not blinded by her other attributes? I noticed the special attention you bore for her.
Are you questioning my judgement?
Perhaps, but I am merely stating my observations
I will not hold anything against you for stating your thoughts. I promise you I will not let anything crowd my judgement.
We shall see
"I should be ready soon, I take it we will be leaving soon after that?"

"I can not guarantee that the twins and I wont have our... moments. As for a merchant... I know a place. It is behind the compound, well, follow me and I'll take you to it."
Vavrin's cape billowed softly behind her as she began to lead the way past the building where she had exited not long before. The merchant's shop was deceptively small, which is why many people overlooked it, simply assuming nothing of value would possibly be kept inside. The door was a peculiar green and the windows were impossible to see through.
The Shade glanced over her shoulder and entered the shop, trying to find the shopkeeper. He was an older man, tall and wiry, and easily swayed. Many a time she had left without paying a single crown, not that she was ever expected to. Being a Shade had many benefits.

"Moments that you alone tend to love," the twins said, following her lead. They entered a small looking shop and looked around. "What are we planning to buy in such a small shop?"
They looked at the shop keeper, who seemed to be staring at Vavrin in fear. They walked up in front of the desk, unnoticed by the shopkeeper still staring at Vavrin. Yin slammed his bow staff end down against the floor, a bang echoing slightly though the shop, and startled the man. "We need fruit."

Vavrin smirked at the twins comment and browsed casually. "Ah, I tend to "love" more than that... I dont know, whatever it is that Nihael needs." As usual, the man in the store kept quiet and just stood behind his desk.
The Shade turned as Yin slammed his staff down suddenly. Fruit would be easy enough to procure. She made her way to the desk where the shopkeeper stood, gapeing. "Cecil! Fruit!!" she said, and waved her hand at him dismissively. Her eyes followed as he scampered away to the back storage room.
Vavrin crossed her arms and continued browsing. "Who knew the twins had such a longing for fruit. Such big demands." she said, teasingly. Vavrin busied herself with a display of barbed fishing hooks, pausing to pick one up.

"Better fruit then what you tend to long and make demands for," the twins said, getting their packs ready as the shopkeeper returned. They placed a 10 piece of gold on the table as they packed the fruit into their bags. "Let no one say that the twins are not generous."
They followed Vavrin around the shop, having nothing better to do. "Planning on fishing on our little trip?" they asked, looking at the fish hooks. "Or planning on using it as some weird torture device again."
