Yin slammed his staff against one of the bandits and broke his arm and rib cage easily. Yang was having a much easier time with his sharp blade and brute strength while Yin was having trouble, not being use to being offensive. Blood was everywhere around Yang, but the rain easily washed it off his clothes. Yin turned quickly when he noticed Vavrin, doing her share of the killing and more.
"My my, and what do we have here?" Yang heard next to the screaming of the bandits. Yin turned his head and glanced as a large man approached Vavrin, saying something he couldn't hear. He quickly knocked back the small group of bandits and rushed towards the large man. He raised his and brought it down on the man's neck, breaking it easily. He spun around and began blocking a few attacks from the bandits.
"This is more like it..." they mumbled, Yin getting back into his defencive mode.

Vavrin smirked as she watched the bandit's neck being shattered by Yin. It was a beautiful sound. She stepped over the body of the man, keeping an eye out for bandits that would try to attack from the side.
It wasn't long until she spotted a group of 3 or 4 more men coming from between the trees. She sprinted in their direction and attacked the closest man first. He was too slow and as a result, received a nice gutting of his lower abdomen. He clutched at his gut and collapsed. The two men behind him stared in horror as the Shade grinned widely. She uttered a word and at once both men's hearts ceased beating.
The fourth man's turn had come, and he warily thrust at Vavrin from the side. His confidence obviously shaken, Vavrin toyed with him for a while, blocking and parrying his weak attacks. Finally she tired of him and ducked low, lopping him off at the knees. Vavrin got to her feet and ran ahead, eager to shed more blood.

Nihael jogged back to the camp seeing bodies strewn along the path in ones and twos. After passing a charred group of about 5-6 bodies he quickened his pace hearing the ring of metal striking metal. Hmmm... sounds like I was about right with the numbers. They are probably fine though, would have had enough time to get ready.
Cresting a hill, he saw the Twins, Vavrin and Onyxia fighting against a group of about 20 men and roughly fifteen bodies lying around them. Slowing down to a walk, he calmly intercepted a man who had broken of from the group and was most likely fleeing for his life with his head down. Nihael reached out and in one swift movement, snapped the man's neck. Only when he fell to the ground did he notice the bloody parchment clutched in the bandit's hand. Unfurling it, he quickly scanned through it.
Encountered two Soldiers, a Shade and a Dra... eed help. Cyric dead ... dead or dying.
"Half of this is covered in blood, but I am pretty sure I can guess what it says." pondered Nihael aloud, "But who was it meant for?"

Yin spun his staff as a large group jumped on him at once, creating a sort of wall with his staff. It was the only thing to keep them from getting stabbed or being knocked over. His hand shook and the staff stopped spinning for a quick moment when he felt a sharp pain against his side. His eyes darted around and he saw no one by his side when he noticed Yang; someone had managed to get past his offence. He had a deep cut on his side, a group of men surrounding him. They jumped on him quickly a few people losing their lives at Yang's blade. Yin let out a shout and swung his staff, breaking the legs of those surrounding himself and charged towards Yang's group. In a quick moment, Yin took out the members around Yang and continued charging after the remainin.g bandits on Yang's side. In a few moments, they were all knocked out, dead, or dying on the battle field; Yin on his knees, clutching to his staff in the middle of the battlefield panting.
You lashed out, brother... Yang said to Yin, coughing and on his knees as well. His sword was stabbed in the ground and clutching onto it, panting and bleeding.
So it would seem... Yin responded, standing up slowly and wobbling. I failed as your shield so I became your sword.
Yang said nothing for a little bit when he looked over at Vavrin, still battling. Nihael is here and we still have work to do. Yin nodded as he helped Yang to his feet.
We can't let him have all the fun, can we? Yin asked as they rushed back towards the battle.

Throwing up wards around himself again, Nihael withdrew his swords with a flourish and charged tawords a group of men heading up behind the twins. Decapitating two of the men before they were even aware of his presence, Nihael thrusted and parried, his body moving as fluidly as a serpent, advancing at one moment and withdrawing the next. Twisting away from a particularly vicous attack that was deflected by the collective strength of his wards and his armour, he swore and disemboweled the man who attacked him. Savouring the look on his face as the man felt his warm entrails pooling into his cupped hands, Nihael lopped off his head just as the light went out of his eyes. Seeing the last couple men swiftly turn round and run towards the rest of their group, Nihael slowly walked after them.

Vavrin caught sight of a two stragglers trying to flee. She turned and dashed between trees to cut them off at the pass. Within moments she faced them, one of them was supporting the other, who seemed to have a broken ankle. They stopped and looked her in the eye, unaware of what to do.
The man supporting the other spoke first. "Please... he is injured. Our comrades are dead." The injured man kept his head down and was silent. Vavrin was expressionless as she said, "I will not let you escape alive."
She kicked the injured man aside and he fell to the ground on his back. The other bandit took two steps back, putting his hands up in protest. "No, p-please...!" Vavrin raised her sword and stabbed the man through the neck.
Vavrin then loomed over the fallen bandit who's ankle was broken. She knelt down and gazed in his eyes, smiling malevolently. His face was full of fear, sweat beaded his brow. "Did you really think I would spare you?" she said, as she sheathed her sword and took out her dagger. Vavrin ignored his pleads and stabbed the man in the upper torso, dragging her blade all the way down as if sawing open a box. "Fool."
She took the dagger out of the man's body and wiped it clean of his blood using the man's shoddy tunic, stood up again and walked away.

Snapping a man's leg with the flat of his blade and knocking him out with a sharp jap to the temple with the pommel of his sword, Nihael called out to Onyxia
Can you keep this one alive with you? I need someone alive to interrogate after we finish the rest of them off.
Onyxia wordlessly let him sling the limp body over her back as she moved a short distance away from the ragged few left. Sheathing his swords andpulling out his dirk, Nihael slowly advanced towards the remaining men.

Vavrin took her usual long strides through the grass and out into the clearing. There were bodies littered everywhere, as if they had dropped out of the sky. She stepped through shallow pools of watery blood, as the light mist of rain deluded it and kept it runny.
She came upon the last four bandits, they murmered in low voices. There was no way out for them now, and Vavrin approached them silently. A man turned and Vavrin threw her dagger, embedding it in his lung. Two men turned on thier heels to flee, but she unsheathed her sword again and grabbed one from behind, thrusting her sword in his back and uttering a word to snap the other bandit's legs. His body crumpled under the weight and he went down with a thud.
Vavrin retracted her sword from the bandit's back and ran to catch the last. This man, tall and lithe, was jumping over the corpses of his falled comrades to escape. Vavrin followed, stepping on a body and using it to give her leverage. The bandit turned to see that he was being chased down. She jumped on the man, causing him to fall to the ground on his face. She pinned him with her knees and grabbed a tuft of hair with her left hand. She drew her sword under his chin and made a gash from ear to ear, and it was over. She went over to the other man to retrieve her dagger and placed it back in her boot. Satisfied, she stood to full height and glanced ahead.
Keeping her longsword held tightly in her right hand, she jogged a bit to catch up to Yin and Yang.

Yin and Yang limped over to the others when they saw the battle was over. "Looks like you had fun..." they said quietly, looking at Vavrin. "Get a chance to use the hooks?"
Yin started coughing as Yang winced, his cut starting to bleed again. Yin used his staff for support as he began to fall over. Yang stabbed his sword into the ground for support, accidentally cutting off part of someone's head. He laughed slightly when he noticed and looked back at Vavrin. "A little help?" they asked Vavrin, holding out their hands.

"No, I didnt get a chance with the hooks. Though I did enjoy myself thoroughly." Vavrin said, holding her head up high as she sheathed her bloody sword.
Vavrin realized that they looked rather worn. Her eyes fell immidiately to Yang's side, it was glistening with blood. Without a word Vavrin quickly stepped between the twins, and placed her arms around their backs, being careful to mind Yang's cut. "Here, support yourselves on me. Place your arms around my shoulders. Let's take it slow and make our way back to the wagon, yes?"

Nihael slowly walked beside Onyxia towards the trio, clutching the parchment in his left hand and his right holding onto the leg of his captive. "Here before you start to move them..." Nihael stepped beside Yang, plcing his hand over the wound and muttered a few words, when he moved his hand, the cut had healed. "If you have them Vavrin, I'll walk ahead and make sure that there is no one else left." He started to walk away but stopped abruptly "And by the way, I have a present for you, maybe now you can use those hooks you have been dying to." he said, pointing towards the man slung over Onyxia's back.

Vavrin kept her arms around the twins as she looked over to Onyxia. Indeed, there was a man there, kept alive. She grinned at Nihael, and thought it a pleasant gesture of him to offer her a torture victim.
When they arrived back to the tipped wagon, she made sure that the twins were all right and gave them a smile. Thier feats on the battlefield were impressive. "I'm glad that your cut is healed, now." she mumbled, looking away as she kneeled down to find her bracers that were left in the wagon. She hadn't the time to put them on when she was awakened.

Nihael walked back to the wagon after scouring the immediate area for any survivors. Spotting Vavrin squatting down to retrieve her bracers from the wagon, he swiftly approached her. "I have something important to tell you, that group that we just fought, I think they might have been a branch of a much larger group. I spotted a man running away from the group with this..." lifting his hand up to show the tightly furled parchment and to give it to her "... it is a request for back-up from an unnamed person."

Vavrin just finished placing her right bracer on when she stood again and looked at the parchment Nihael was holding out. "A larger group?" She took it and unrolled it, and looked at it carefully. It was smattered with blood, but the words were still legible.
Her brow furrowed as she looked back up at Nihael. "So I'm guessing this Cyric person was thier leader. Well, we disposed of all of them, nobody made it out alive. I suppose we may run into more of these bandits in the future. All these missing men may go unoticed for a while, but not for long."

"There was a group of twenty men that I encountered and dispatched, their leader Cyric was amongst them. Unless he has died of blood-loss or the wolves have gotten him, he might still be alive. Before I left him, he told me of their camp's location, when I came across it, that was when I figured that there was a much larger group than the twenty I ran into. Well, when the Twins are feeling better, would you care to join me in raiding the vacant encampment and relieving it of anything of value? Might as well not leave it for the rest of their group should they decide to investigate the dissapearance of this lot."
Projecting his mind out to Onyxia, he shared the location of where he had incapacitated the leader of the bandits. Could you possibly check and see if that man is still alive? If so, could you bring him back to me?
Alright, just be careful while I am gone. Digging her powerful claws into the ground, She thrust off and quickly accelerated towards the sky in the direction of Cyric's location.

The Shade nodded. "Yes, I will join you. For now, we all should rest at least for a while." She glanced over her shoulder at the twins momentarily and then overhead as Onyxia took to the sky.
Vavrin wandered over to a nearby corpse and ripped off part of his tunic. She took it with her back to the overturned wagon, which now looked like a bit of a makeshift shield from the wind. She sat on its side and withdrew her longsword, which instead of being pale, was now stained with blood. She took the scrap of cloth and began to polish it clean again, eyes keenly focused upon the blade. For a long time, she was silent.

"Yes, I will join you. For now, we all should rest at least for a while."
"I shall take first watch while the rest of you get some rest. You can never be too safe, especially with the state that the group is currently in." He slowly gathered some leather armour from the few dead men that had been wearing any, he put it in a small pile a few feet from the wagon and sat down, keeping an eye out, and his mind open for any unwelcome visitors.
