Tian opened her eyes just a little, tilting her head to the side so she could hear, and see both of the men's faces. However she did not take her forehead from the cool glass. She felt like she was on fire, her head was still throbbing painfully, making her flinch at even the littlest sounds. Oh Lyf, she thought sadly, how I wish you were here... Tian wanted her sister's familiar presence at her side.

"Yazuac is safe enough." Arkantos answered sharply, then softened up with an expression of extreme sadness."Nowhere is safe anymore for humans, at least. Yazuac is safer than most, except for Boromeo castle here in Aberon. There is a garrison of at least 500 Varden soldiers under the command of my sister there, if I recall rightly," he stated as he dove back into his memories, remembering the details of his kin with sorrowful, worrying eyes.
He then looked up at them harshly, with just a trace of a wolf's gutteral growl in his voice. "It's either Yazuac, or death by torment in the dungeons of Uru^Baen, if you feel like you don't trust me enough to come with me." At the mention of the dungeons, his face took on a haunted light, his eyes shining with an unholy pleasure and fear of his last encounter there.

He did have any dreams, but it was a peaceful sleep. Sonya, in the mean time, took the oppertunity to sleep aswell, though she chose to sleep out side of town. (Just a hint, but u can post with out me untill its time for Ved to get up)

Tian turned fully around to face Arkantos, and flinched openly when he mentioned his sister. Shoving her painful memories back into the darkest out-of-the-way part of her mind. Noting the expressions that flickered across his face, troubled Tian. She had only known him for less than a day, but she had taken him for a stone-cold hearted enemy. "Well..." Tian said slowly, "dungeons really aren't my thin, and I'm not planing on dying any time soon. So..." she paused, "I'm with you," she was surprised by her own words. Hadn't this man tried to kidnap her earlier that day...?

Tristan sat on the floor, his weary legs barely able to keep him up. "We will listen to you Arkantos. Calm down." Tristan was slightly distrubed by the look in Arkantos's eyes. It was the slightly demented. He breifly wondered what had happened in those dungeons.
Icefyre, I think we are going to Yazuac. Is that okay?,he asked Of course Tristan. Where ever you go I will follow. It does not matter whether it is in the most firesome battle or the darkes forest I will always be their by your side.,she said
Tristan smiled. It was good to know he always had somone he could count on, especialy during these difficult times.
He glanced over a Tian.

Tian's eyes began to droop, and she nearly droped to the floor. Clinging to the window sill for sopport, she took a deep breath catching Tristan's eyes she smiled. The warm look in his eye was too tempting for her to stay standing. Gritting her teeth, she made her legs move to his side and she sat next to him. Although she tried to be graceful, she stumbled and hit the floor next to Tristan with a painful thump. Groaning she glanced at Tristan, daring him to laugh.

Tristan smiled holding back laughter. "Extremely graceful. You've got the whole gracefull thing down," he said smiling. He tried to move his eyes from her but with no success.
"I never actually asked you, what are you doing out here anyways?" he asked trying to stay awake. A sudden boost of energy filled his senses as Icefyre sent him some of her strenght.
I am going to sleep, Icefyre said. Go ahead I will wake you when its time to go, Tristan said.

Tian shot Tristan a, oh, very funny look, before she pulled her legs up to her chest and layed her chin on her knees. "Odd that you never asked," she chuckled as she tilted her head to see his face. For a moment she couldn't say any thing, she just stared at him, before she blinked and the spell broke. "I'm looked for my sister," she said softly, lowering her eyes to examin the floor.

Arkantos shot up at this, his every sense running on high, then mired down into depression again. "The Empire takes so much from us, don't they, Tian. Friends, homes, kin, lovers; their depravation of everything we hold dear will continue unchecked within their own lands until the death of Galbatorix," he said quietly, staring at Tristan and Tian with an expression of one that has seen much loss.
He suddenly cocked his head to the side, as if listening to something on the wind. "The wolf is the ideal hunter," he remarked to no one in particular, "it is fierce, loyal, and indpendant, to a point... yet it is also gentle, and is a fierce fighter when roused. We must be like the wolf pack, never tiring, always protecting what we love... that is what I fight for, at least." he said as he rolled over and tried to fall asleep, but the moon was shining in his eyes, reminding him of a time that seemed like a thousand years ago.

*I hope this is OK here I have nothing else to do and this looks interesting ;D. So, if it's a bad time for me to post let me know and I will scrub it. * A wolfs howl danced with the wind through the night, a lonesome ballad across the sleeping land as the moon placed a blanket of silver across the city of Aberon... Fidgeting on the back of Saeunn as he glided over the city; Keri felt an untamed giddiness rising in her chest as she glanced down on the sleeping city ''I am happy to be back upon Varden terra as well Keri, but can you not restrain yourself ''? teased Saeunn as the wolf howl died from Keri's throat to be replaced by an odd rumble. ''Self restraint? Need I remind you about that field of sheep..? Keri snapped playfully in return. A grin played about her lips as Saeunn remained silent, pretending to be concentrating on flying, but as he was gliding there was no real need for concentration. The silhouette of the black blue hinted dragon passed over view of the moon, casting a shadow onto the sleeping land. ''Saeunn..?'' Keri whispered in the back of Saeunn's mind, as if to get him to confirm what she now felt... '' I never expected other riders to be here, yet they are not ones we have met before..'' he replied.. Keri was about to pull herself back behind her mental defenses incase the riders lashed out at her mind; when her consciousness brushed up against another she was not expecting, even less so. She felt the air push from her lungs as she gasped. Lightly probing with her mind, this one became more and more familiar, but different to the others. This one was more like herself, this one was...almost kin. A string of memories from moons ago flashed in her mind, ~ A wolf speared with an arrow...a mysterious ring found in the throat of the wolfen... .that ring placed upon the hand of one Keri doutped would trade such an artifact....a ring of such power Keri felt the tingling in the back of her mind... ~[/i] Another howl broke Keri's lips and Saeunn's low purr accompanied as the strange consciousness sparked her memory. A howl of pure delight; one she used by instinct, as she did when calling her pack mates once upon a time..

(I guess Ill post since no one else is...) Vedrit moves around in his chiar, looking for a comfortable postition. After a while, he sits up with a yawn. "Guess I wasnt very sleepy." He said. Rubbing his eyes, he asks "What have I missed?" 'Decided not to sleep long?' Sonya asked 'I guess not.' He replied, stretching. He gets up and walks to the window, wondering what time it was. He was completly oblivious to the conversation that Tian, Tristan, and Arkantos were just having. Breathing in the cool night air, he hears a howl far off, and he sees a shape pass by the moon. 'Sonya.... He says to Sonya, not having to finish his sentance 'I wasnt there, but I will check it out.' She replies. Vedrit felt the rush of adrenalin and excitement as she rose into the air. Sonya knew how much he liked it when she took off.

Tian flinched as Arkantos directed the question at her. The memories of her massacred village, and missing twin sister were fresh in her mind. Tian frowned at Arkantos' words about wolves, absently staring out the window as she faintly heard a wolf's call. "Lyf loved wolves," she said softly then corrected herself, "loves, she loves wolves." Leaning against Tristan for support she smiled at Vedrit, "not much," she told him, her gaze again flicking to the window.
((Lyf is coming into the plot!!)) Ezra froze, his whole body quivering ready to dash off if the wolf he had heard was close. Lyf's head jerked up, from her 'in the saddle nap', her eyes flicking around the trees. Sluggishly she dismounted, her legs nearly collapsing underneath her. Tiredly she patted Ezra's neck, "It's ok boy," she said suppressing a yawn. Looking around her she noticed that the trees were thinning at last. She had thought they would have been at Aberon by night fall. Fingering her necklace she thought of her sister. Early that day, she had felt Tian draw on their shared magic. She had no idea that they had been this close, but she couldn't reach her mind. They had been apart too long. Tugging on Ezra's rains she led him through the trees, up the hill that gave a view of Aberon. Lyf froze as she spotted two figures through the trees. Ezra stamped his foot, nostrils flared at the smell of wolf. Lyf's long raven black hair, shifted in the sudden breeze. It was the only part of her that moved, as she watched the two figures silently.

Arkantos jumped up from his sleeping roll with a start, feeling the mental probe sweep across his consciousness.
"She's here! I can't believe I'd ever see her again!" he exclaimed as he grabbed his spear and leapt outside into the night, releasing a flash of joyous sparks from his ring to signal the dark blue dragon and it's Rider. Calming down slightly, he noticed that his ring was giving off a strange green light with a tendril of black fire lazily drifting along its' core.
"Ah, so that's what it wants, eh?" He thought with an intrigued grin as he brought out a book bound in leather and silver with a hexagonal receptacle in the center, with the words Domia Abr Wyrda in gold along the spine. Placing the ring in the slot, he watched with awe as ropes of green flame snaked along the silver inlay and consumed the book in bright light. When it was over, Arkantos lowered his arm and saw that the tome had opened itself to a place he thought was nothing but blank pages. But instead, he saw clear, steady script, written in the common tongue, recounting everything he had experienced since he found his ring in the forest. Turning the pages, he found a title, written in gold ink that stated: The Tale of Arkantos, warrior of the night and wielder of Linnea's ring.
As he stretched out his hand to touch the parchment, the volume closed of its own accord with a snap. Retrieving his ring from the cover, he placed it back around his neck, where it grumbled for being removed by sending off a few orange sparks. Arkantos shook his head and sighed. "I guess that's what I get for having a ring with the imprint of a dead elf's personality..." He said aloud to no one in particular, as he heard a rustling in the brush and a grey head poked out, warily scenting for danger as it trotted to the human who smelled completely alien to it, yet somehow familiar.

Keri felt her own adrenaline spike as Arkantos' dozy mind sprung to the attention of her mental probing, the shock and joy seemed to jump once round back to her, increasing hers only more. Her silver eyes seemed to glow a poisonous green as the light of the joyous green sparks caught them, but they weren’t focused on the display. Keri was staring past the green as she saw an ominous ghost-like figure coming from the night; Saeunn snorted his alert that it was one of the rider’s dragons. ''I know, but they don't know we're of the Varden!'' she thought, mentally scorning herself for approaching without letting them know where her alliances lay. ''Don't worry about it swift one, I didn't realize either; until now.''[/I] Saeunn said, his own dark orbs watching the other dragon approach. Saeunn sent calm images to the other, before his and Keri's mind both whispered ''Hvitrskular, Eka aí friai un eka ai Varden.'' ''White scales, I am a friend and I am of the Varden. ''
It wasn’t entirely true, Keri wasn’t souly devoted to the Varden; yet they had a common goal; which was enough for her to be able to say it in the ancient language.
Saeunn folded his wings and began a steep dive towards the ground, where the green sparks had been summoned. Keri barely heard Saeunn's complaint that she was fidgeting again; her eyes focused on the moon drenched figure before them. Saeunn's claws hit the ground, just before Keri had landed lightly from jumping down off Saeunn's bare back. Keri dashed forwards, immediately recognizing Arkantos. An angry shot of orange caused her to skid to a stop, and her eyes focused on the ring around his neck. ’' Ah, Linnea’s ring '' she thought, holding her gaze at the ring warily. Her eyes shot up to catch Arkantos’ silver ones and she smiled devilishly, but not without a hint of cautious suspicion.
''I’d hug you but…yeah….it’s not going to freak out again, is it?’’ she asked, motioning to the ring. She wouldn’t forget what happened last time.

(FINALLY! I POST! BWAHAHAH!!!!!) 'Company. They say they are of the Varden.' Sonya told Vedrit, who casually went to the window to look out into the night. "Well, so many Varden, yet no one to recruit me." Vedrit mumbled to himself, and rested against the window sill. As he looked down, he spotted a dragon, a rider, and Arkantos. "What a happy reunion." Vedrit said as though talking about the weather, then went back to his chair to wait and see if there would be any company to the room. 2's company, 3's a crowd, and more is a party

"I doubt it. If it wanted to freak out, it would have done so as soon as you brushed my conciousness." Arkantos grinned as a cloud passed over the moon, bathing them in silver light. "The orange sparks were from me taking it away from my copy of Domia Abr Wyrda, which it has a strange connection to. Look." He explained, as he held out the book. The wolf at his side followed the travel of the tome with its eyes, gleaming yellow in the darkness. Arkantos' ears suddenly twitched, and he became alert as he sensed the pair of eyes that were watching them, then relaxed as the gaze turned away.

[Fwap; such a scientific term wouldn't you say? Oo;]
A grin would replace the nervous smile that played about Keri’s rose lips and she sighed contentedly.
'’Fair point, I suppose it would have.’’
Saeunn tilted his huge head down; the midnight hued scales along his neck glinting in the little moonlight.
'' Good to see you well Arkantos’’
What occurred next was a rare blip in her ability to keep her wolven and human halves apart; yet Arkantos did seem more wolfish than any other human, or even elf she knew, and after all she had spent the time when she had seemingly disappeared from the face of Alagesia among her wolven brethren...or what was left of them.
Keri (in what seemed a perfectly normal greeting to her) walked up to Arkantos and briefly touched her nose to his; taking in his scent; as wolves did to determine their rank in the pack by the food on their breath. ''Aha-...whoops.'' she said backing up a bit, redness creeping up her cheeks.
''Ha, well, live by what you know I suppo--'' she cut herself off as a new scent caught her off; very close, very new to her and not one that belonged to the silver bodice of the wolf lurking nearby, but of one further into the dark.
Saeunn's turned to face it, keeping his head low and wings tight against his side to avoid the wind rustling the thin yet slightly ragged membrane along his wingspan. A low hiss ran from between his teeth.
Keri also faced into the dark, eyes dead ahead, body posed ready to either move out of the way, or charge ahead. As the scent registered Keri dropped her guard a little, because it was a horse and a lone rider and she doubted they would be of the empire, they were in Surda's capital for pete’s-sake.
'' Doesn't mean empire spies cannot enter without being sought out, look at what happened with the shade twins.'' Saeunn whispered in the back of Keri's mind.
Keri winced as he mentioned them, '' I suppose, but from what I can tell this loner is either elf or human; yet I cannot tell the difference.''
Deep silver pools would look back to Arkantos and the blush crept back up in her cheeks. The air around Saeunn reverberated as he chuckled deeply, inspiring Keri to fwap his shoulder with the back of her hand. Saeunn snorted in reply, but Keri still felt that lingering threat of amusement in her mind.
It was new to her, she hadn't been embarrassed before, there was no sign to determine it in the wolf language.
'' The human world is getting to me,’’ she sighed to herself.
Sifting through her thoughts Keri murmured ''Shall we go check it out?'' she asked, motioning to the darkness; more trying to cover up her little wolfish blunder that scouting for danger.

((is cricked a word? it has to if "fwap" is... O^))
Arkantos' eyes widened at the gesture, and he quickly turned away, laughing nervously, as he failed to hide the flush of color creeping up his face. "Yeah, I guess so," He said, as he cricked his neck and growled in satisfaction as he heard it pop. Seeing her turn, he looked to where she was staring intently, and sensed, rather than saw, the approaching figure on horseback.
" I knew it! We've been dicovered! This place is too unsecure, we have to get everyone out of here and to my house. There's so many barriers around that place, it will serve as an exellent staging point for the journey northwards, to Yazuac and Cuenon." he cursed quietly as he readied a death spell and grabbed his spear. Standing up straight, he ran quickly and silently through the brush and out of the courtyard towards the mystery guest. Raising barriers around the lone rider to prevent him from fleeing, he stood in the gap between the barriers that would allow passage-straight forward- and called out in a strange language that was not quite the ancient language, but not quite human, either.

(Since no one else is posting besides Arkantos and Dearksilver, I gues I will) As Vedrit was sitting down, he wondered what was taking Arkantos so long in getting the new companion to the room, so Vedrit went to the window to check. When he looked out, he saw Arkantos running off. Wondering what he was doing, and slightly worried that Arkantos was, and always was, acting for the better of the Empire and trying to escape, Vedrit lept out of the window, landing hard, but got up and chased after Arkantos any way, summoning Sonya as he ran
